This is throwing down the gauntlet to the current GOP establishment --- including the current Brooklyn GOP leadership --- which seems to be all but locked-in to Lee Zeldin for the top spot on their 2022 ticket
It remains to be seen whether Curtis Sliwa and his allies are ready to work as hard for the young Giuliani in 2022 as they did for themselves in 2021 --- in 2021, Capano and Siwa succeeded in handily defeating the GOP candidate for mayor backed by the Fox-McCabe-Ghorra faction of the Brooklyn GOP
Although the Giuliani brand might be somewhat tarnished ouside the GOP --- especially among the most rabid anti-Trumpers --- the Giuliani name still has cachet inside the GOP as one of the symbols of those pre-9/11 better times and a better way of life all around NYC --- the support by the most recent GOP mayoral candidate, Curtis Sliwa, will be a boost to the personal stature of Andrew Giuliani and make his run for governor even more credible
According to the NY Post article that Bob Capano linked in his E-mail to his followers ---

If Ted tries to help Giuliani behind the scenes as it’s being talked about , he’ll be tossed out even before his term is up. Steve is with Zeldin too so it’s Gonna be fun watching these grifters come back to Brooklyn looking for ways to get petitions
Good timing by Capano. Lee Zeldin was expecting a coronation and people started to question Zeldins viability.
Capano has always been incredibly prescient. I would follow his lead. He is the canary in the coal mine. If he is endorsing the Giuliani son then that means there is trouble in Lee Zeldin land.
1053, get real. Don't you know that Steve Maresca is one of the oldest Mezozoic creatures in the Brooklyn GOP. He is definitely a Triassic dinosaur and can tell you all about the night life on the uni-continent Pangea. Even though he took classes at Xaverian, he is one of the last St. Michael's grads that went there.
Ted Ghorra's age is like Bob Capano's. During their overlapping days during the Pleistocene epoch, they both rode around on woolly mammoths (mammuthus primigenius) and hunted sabre tooth smilodons during the time when their mothers shopped in "the City" at Wanamaker's in "The Village" and S. Kleins On the Square.
Both Ted Ghorra and Steve Maresca, and the formal leadership faction of the Brooklyn GOP is stuck with Lee Zeldin unless he pulls out of the race for governor. Nobody in that crew has the chops to stand up for the Republican Party and against Jerry Kassar and the Brooklyn Conservatives.
As recently as election time 2021, Jerry Kassar was bragging, threatening and extorting the New York State Republican leadership for a big boy's seat at the gubernatorial table saying that the Conservative Party continues to play a significant role statewide. Kassar also thanked Lee Zeldin personally for recognizing that his road to victory included the support of the Conservative Party, its membership and its votes.
At the same time Kassar pointed out how pleased he was to be asked by Lee Zeldin "... our presumptive nominee for Governor..." to serve on his search committee to find a warm body to run for Lt. Governor with Zeldin. Kassar also announced that the so-called "search committee" wwould be chaired by Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis.
If Giuliani is serious about staying the race for Guv he’ll do well to ditch grifters like Bob and Curtis. They have nobody in Brooklyn now. Steve and his team got Curtis the nomination and they with Zeldin solidly. If Ted thinks of backing up Giuliani he’s gonna get a written warning from his supervisor Fran and then a terminating letter from his boss Gerry.

Kassar & comapny, and their boy Zeldin must have run into a major uncharted obstruction with Andrew Giuliani's staying in the race right up to the eve of petitioning.
The NYS Conservatives never really took Rudy Giuliani on when Mike Long was in charge. Will they dare to try to take on the scion of the main branch of the Giuliani family now, with Kassar at the helm of that "Third Party"?

People used to tease bob about getting 1% of the vote in 2017. Sounds pathetic. But it turns out Bob was fluffing the numbers. Looks like Bob really got 0.8%.
will it ever be determined just how many elections and primaries bob lost? Do filing petitions and dropping out count as a loss? It certainly isnt a win.

8:37 is Bob fudging the numbers. To be clear Fox lost one election and that is because Brannen pulled out a bunch of paper ballots from dead people.
But what is not in dispute is that Fox got 50%. Bob got less than 1%.
