When it comes to Bob Capano --- everybody, including Bob himself, needs to remember that "Silence is Golden"

Bob "The Capon" Capano is oh so proud of the editorial interview that recently appeared in the Brooklyn Reporter     ---  one has to wonder why.....

Bob has been played by his old bosses, the editorial folks at  >>> brooklynreporter.com <<<  big time  ---  and their anti-Trump, anti-Republican agenda was made clear in the questions that they put to Capano

The title of the editorial says it all  >>>  "Brooklyn republicans post-Trump: Views on new directions & candidates"  ---  they are portraying Boo-Hoo Beer Can Bob Capano as   >>> THE <<< spokesperson of the Brooklyn GOP

For his part >>>  Bob started out by knocking the current Brooklyn GOP Chairman Ted Ghorra, and Ghorra's possible support of a leading GOP Mayoral candidate named Fernando Mateo  ---  needless to say for those familiar with Capano, the patsy interviewee mostly talked about the red beret wearing sperm donor, Curtis Sliwa.....

Here is a particularly telling portion of the interview:
"BROOKLYN REPORTER:  Are there any Brooklyn leaders in Republican or Conservative circles who attended the meeting that you think should be noted ?
CAPANO: Former Brooklyn GOP Chairman Craig Eaton, 47th Assembly District Leader Phyllis Carbo, former state senate candidate Vito Bruno...."
Obviously, for Bob Capano, that's where his Brooklyn Republican Party begins and ends.....

AS AND FOR A PARTICULAR REASON WHY BOB CAPANO SHOULD NEVER BE LISTENED TO AS A SPOKESMAN, LEADER OR CANDIDATE OF THE BROOKLYN GOP  >>>  IN 2018, AS THE COUNTY CHAIRMAN OF THE REFORM PARTY,  BOB CAPANO ENDORSED DEMOCRAT ANDREW GOUNARDES AGAINST INCUMBENT REPUBLICAN STATE SENATOR MARTY GOLDEN

More proof that John Quaglione needs to run against Brannan again in 2021.

I concur with 5:35 PM
John Q needs to step up and be a MAN and RUN! Liam and Capano have no shot and no chance in this race. John Q should get first choice since he ran last time

EXPLAINING THINGS TO BOB: THE "IN WORDS THAT HE MIGHT UNDERSTAND" EDITION

RE: DELETED COMMENT "... AT 6:14 PM"

YOUR OLD BOSSES AT THE BROOKLYN REPORTER "REACHED OUT" TO YOU, BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT YOU ARE A "USEFUL IDIOT" THAT THE OTHER SIDE LIKES TO USE AGAINST REPUBLICANS AND CONSERVATIVES FROM TIME TO TIME

What the Editorial Board at the Brooklyn Reporter didn't know is that Boo-Hoo Beer Can Bob Capano is that he only speaks for himself, and nobody in the Brooklyn GOP cares about him or listens to him. Just look at who he held up as the notable Brooklyn Republicans. He is still pitching the likes of Ratso Vito Bruno as an avatar of conservative Republicanism. The very same kind of "Hip-Hop" that made Vito Bruno so much of his money, came out of the same "Hip-Hop" culture that gave rise to BLM and AOC.

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "TRUMP IMPEACHMENT FRONT" EDITION

ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON, TRUMP'S DEFENSE TEAM COUNSEL(S) FILED THEIR BRIEF IN RESPONSE TO THE HOUSE BRIEF IN SUPPORT OF THE ARTICLE OF IMPEACHMENT PASSED BY THE HOUSE AND PRESENTED TO THE SENATE FOR TRIAL --- THE FORMER PRESIDENT'S LAWYERS' PAPERS ARGUED THAT THE TRIAL IS UNSCONSTITUTIONAL >>> AND THAT THE HOUSE'S FACTUAL CLAIMS AGAINST THE FORMER PRESIDENT ARE FALSE <<<

THE HOUSE DEMOCRATS' BRIEF MADE BOLD ASSERTIONS WITHOUT A SHRED OF PROOF RELATED TO JANUARY 6TH OR THOSE PARTS OF THE CHARGES CONTAINED IN THE ARTICLE OF IMPEACHMENT RELATED TO STATEMENTS AND EVENTS PRIOR TO JANUARY 6TH

In its formal impeachment response, the Trump Impeachment Defense Team unequivocally doubled down on President Trump's post- election claim that the 2020 Presidential Election was stolen from him. That signals the intent of the Trump team to introduce evidence and relitigate key parts of Donald Trump's argument that the 2020 Election had been stolen from him during the Impeachment Trial that should start in the U.S. Senate on or about February 9th.

In their 14-page response, Trump’s legal team, led by Bruce L. Castor, Jr., and David Schoen, argued that the Senate cannot conduct an "impeachment trial" of a former president no longer holding office. They also rejected the House’s attempt to argue that the president should be barred from any future public office by the 14th Amendment, dismissing claims that he led any "insurrection." And they added that attempting to pass any resolution to bar Trump from future political office “would constitute a Bill of Attainder in violation of Art. I, Sec. 9. Cl. 3” of the Constitution...."

Earlier in the proceedings, the Democrat-led House filed a brief, which asserted that then-President Donald J. Trump had committed “incitement of insurrection against the Republic he swore to protect...”. The brief further argued that President Trump’s speech at the Ellipse on January 6th, together with his claims of election fraud, incited a crowd to storm Capitol Hill and invade the Capitol itself, while Congress was in session to certify the Election of Joseph Biden to be the President of the United States.

In addition, the House brief attempted to explain away the fact that then-President Trump explicitly told his supporters at the Ellipse to protest “peacefully and patriotically.” According to the House brief that admonition was canceled out by Trump’s later exhortation for those gathered to “fight like hell” for their country. Furthermore the House Democrats' brief also attempted to deal with the very real problem of the detailed timeline on January 6th. Claiming that even though the riot on Capitol Hill began before Trump had finished speaking on the Ellipse, the riot was started by an “early wave” of Trump supporters prepositioned on Capitol Hill. The brief also completely obscured the fact that the Ellipse is a mile and a half from the Capitol Building, lots of it uphill, making travel by foot in less that one half hour problematic for most of those in Trump's crowd at the Ellipse.

The House brief also stated that it is constitutional to try a former president, and that the impeachment was proper >>> even though the House did not follow any traditional investigative processes normally associated with impeachment proceedings.

MORE BACKFILL: THE "STRATEGIC BLUNDER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SINGLE ARTICLE OF IMPEACHMENT DRAFTED BY HOUSE DEMOCRATS" EDITION

THESE ARE SPECIFIC CHARGES (CALLED AVERMENTS) IN THE SINGLE ARTICLE OF IMPEACHMENT, WHICH ALLOW THE TRUMP IMPEACHMENT DEFENSE TEAM TO INCLUDE FACTUAL CHALLENGES TO THE 2020 ELECTION RESULTS IN ITS DEFENSE TO THE IMPEACHMENT --- THE HOUSE DEMOCRATS' SPECIFIC CHARGES --- AND THE TRUMP TEAM'S SPECIFIC ANSWERS

[QUOTED MATERIAL IS FROM "ANSWER OF PRESIDENT DONALD JOHN TRUMP, 45TH PRESIDENT OF
THE UNITED STATES, TO ARTICLE I: INCITEMENT OF INSURRECTION"]

FOURTH AVERMENT IN DEMOCRAT DRAFTED ARTICLE OF IMPEACHEMT SENT BY THE U.S> HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OVER TO THE U.S. SENATE FOR TRIAL
".... 4. Donald John Trump engaged in high Crimes and Misdemeanors by
inciting violence against the Government of the United States, in that:
On January 6, 2021, pursuant to the 12th Amendment to the
Constitution of the United States, the Vice President of the United States, the
House of Representatives, and the Senate met at the United States Capitol for a
joint session of Congress to count the votes of the Electoral College. In the
months preceding the Joint Session, President Trump repeatedly issued false
statements asserting that the Presidential election results were the product of
widespread fraud and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by
State or Federal officials...."

LANGUAGE IN TRUMP'S RESPONSE TO THE FOURTH AVERMENT CONTAINED IN THE SINGLE ARTICLE OF IMPEACHMENT SENT BY THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE U.S. SENATE FOR TRIAL
".... Answer 4: Admitted in part, denied in part, and denied as irrelevant to any matter
properly before the Senate. It is admitted that on January 6, 2021 a joint
session of Congress met with the Vice President, the House and the Senate, to
count the votes of the Electoral College. It is admitted that after the November
election, the 45th President exercised his First Amendment right under the
Constitution to express his belief that the election results were suspect, since
with very few exceptions, under the convenient guise of Covid-19 pandemic
“safeguards” states election laws and procedures were changed by local
politicians or judges without the necessary approvals from state legislatures.
Insufficient evidence exists upon which a reasonable jurist could conclude that
the 45th President’s statements were accurate or not, and he therefore denies
they were false. Like all Americans, the 45th President is protected by the First
Amendment...."

FIFTH AVERMENT IN DEMOCRAT DRAFTED ARTICLE OF IMPEACHEMT SENT OVER TO THE U.S. SENATE FOR TRIAL
".... 5. Shortly before the Joint Session commenced, President Trump,
addressed a crowd at the Capitol ellipse in Washington DC. There, he reiterated false claims that 'we won this election, and we won it by a landslide.'...”

LANGUAGE IN TRUMP'S RESPONSE TO THE FIFTH AVERMENT CONTAINED IN THE SINGLE ARTICLE OF IMPEACHMENT SENT BY THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE U.S. SENATE FOR TRIAL
".... Answer 5: Admitted in part, denied in part. It is admitted that President Trump
addressed a crowd at the Capitol ellipse on January 6, 2021 as is his right
under the First Amendment to the Constitution and expressed his opinion that
the election results were suspect, as is contained in the full recording of the
speech. To the extent Averment 5 alleges his opinion is factually in error, the
45th President denies this allegation...."

The GOP wanted Nicole to be the new face. Instead it's Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG).

Why didn't anybody notice that the picture of Bob the law breaking beer drinker Republican spokesman of 2021 that went with the most recent Brooklyn Reporter editorial burp was the same exact picture as Bob the law breaking beer drinker Kings County Reform Party Chairman that appeared in the Brooklyn Eagle on July 26, 2018?

1046, most Staten Island Republicans wish that Marjorie Taylor Green was their Republican Member of Congress and not Nicole Malliotakis.

Anonymous said...

Maybe so 12:41.

But the fact is most voters of Staten Island wanted Nicole over Max Rose. But since Max is in DC heading up the COVID vaccine operation hes sure to beat Nicole in 2022. Who can argue with success.

104, in 2022 NYS will lose another Member of Congress and Nicole will be the least protected member of the New York delegation; but look at the upside, Staten Island will have two Reform Democrats in Congress.

TODAY'S NEWS; THE "FERNANDO MATEO" EDITION

REPRESENTATIVE OF MANY SMALL ENTREPRENEURS TOSSES HAT IN THE RING AS A REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY --- EXPECTS STRONG SUPPORT IN BROOKLYN IN THE EVENT OF A GOP PRIMARY

Republican Fernando Mateo officially launched his bid for mayor earlier today. Mr. Mateo, is 63 yoa and came to the USA via the Dominican Republican. For years, Fernando Mateo has been an advocate for taxi drivers and bodega owners, and such small businessmen are some of the most numerous entrepreneurs in the immigrant-American community. According to Fernando Mateo, “I’m excited. I’m on the road to City Hall.... This is a city of immigrants.... This is a city built by immigrants.... I want to be their voice....” Aside from his battle on behalf of taxi drivers, and the owners of bodegas and small groceries, Mr. Mateo pointed out that he has been involved in programs to get illegal guns off the streets and to train inmates at Rikers Island with workplace skills.

Mateo first expressed his interest in the mayoralty in December; and he has been well-received by the leadership of the Brooklyn GOP

If necessary, the Primary Elections in both Republican and Democrat Parties are scheduled for Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
