Let's hope that Brooklyn Republicans can rid themselves of Vito Bruno >>> once and for all <<< by Tuesday Night, November 3rd, 2020

  >>>>>  Don't make me have to come back to NYC to kick Whiney Ratso Vito Bruno in the ass personally  ---  if he some how pulls his Speck Alto Adige out of the fire on Election Day <<<<<

For about three months Andy Gounardes and his well-financed campaign have been pounding Vito Bruno and his personal history of managing, promoting and owning a string of after-hours and night clubs that made money for Vito and even less savory people for decades by creating and facilitating an environment of wild and unprotected sex, drugs and drug-related violence at those after-hours and night clubs  ---  and that pounding was well-researched and well-produced high-end material.....

Remember that in 1983, Vito Bruno admitted to his part in a pattern of police corruption involving several Manhattan night clubs  ---  it was during a NY Times interview in which Bruno bragged about how generous he was in his payoffs to the cops

Since then, in March 2020,  Vito Bruno was interviewed by the "Brooklyn Paper" and tacitly admitted to almost all of the serious charges put to him by that paper at that time

In addition, late in July of 2020, there was a very hard-hitting expose in the Daily News  ---  telling everybody what a bad person Vito Bruno had admitted to being in the past, and why that made it difficult for him to come across as a law & order GOP State Senate candidate now

Vito Bruno has never come close to publicly repenting about anything that he WAS or DONE or SAID in the past   ---  nothing close to a "Come to Jesus" moment for Vito  ---  quite the opposite,  Vito still fondly remembers his days and nights and after-hours escapades in his club phase and "Outlaw" phase; and he brags about all of it still

In the meantime  >>>  we here at "The Brooklyn and Staten Island Independent GOP Fountainhead" have been doing our own   >>> intense fact-based personal pounding of Vito Bruno <<<  but for a much longer period of ten or eleven months now.  ---  It was done on the cheap and was not high-end well-produced material  >>>  but that is and was  no less well-researched, and no less accurate and authoritative.....

It's been many, many months   ---   even before Vito Bruno had been selected as the Brooklyn GOP  and Conservative Party Candidate for the New York State Senate for the 22nd SD  ---  since I warned the Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party that Vito Bruno would be a terrible candidate for the state senate because of his very shady past and very shady business associations.....  Sadly, too many of my friends and former political allies in both the Brooklyn GOP and the Conservative Party did not listen.....

Then, we here at "The Brooklyn & Staten Island Independent GOP Fountainhead" started trotting out some of the facts about the past of Vito Bruno;  and eventually started calling him "Ratso" for readily apparent reasons.....  (Many, many of Vito Bruno's business associates and direct competitors have gone to jail for everything from murder and other criminal homicides, to tax evasion, to police and public corruption, and on, and on, and on...   but not Vito  --- even when he publicly admitted to his own police corruption, the very same article stated he was not part of the Federal investigation of police corruption that was then still ongoing  ---  Yes sir, "Ratso" sure seems to fit.....)

It didn't take long for the Democrats and the citywide press to jump on the story and pick up OUR drumbeat rhythm  ---  they just plucked the easy low-hanging fruit on the Vito Bruno tree.  And months ago, what did Vito Bruno do in a statement to the Daily News, he admitted almost all of it, with a quibble here and a quibble there.....  And why do people like Ratso Vito Bruno admit things like he did to the Daily News ???  >>>  The folks like Vito are looking to avoid even worse things  <<<

Republicans need to keep being reminded that  Vito Bruno WAS and still IS a guy that owns and is still proud of his background that includes this:

His start in the night clubs business was right here in the neighborhood very close to where he is now running for the NYS State Senate   >>>  that was "2001 Odyssey," six decades back in the 1970s  ---  with a movie that parodied and caricatured Itlos just like Vito and many others from Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Bensonhurt [with Vito still making lots money off of it as recently 2017];

Years later, Vito graduated to the big time in Manhattan and he denigrated and decried outer-borough "Guidos with their unbuttoned shirts and gold chains" at his clubs  ---  instead he cultivated an "A-list" clientele, augmented by readily accessible drugs at his clubs  ---  and even when that business practice ended badly for Vito Bruno's  most notable customer, John Belushi  ---  Vito used the event promotionally by putting himself into the middle of it with his interview by Bob Woodward, which was memorialized in Woodward's book about Belushi,  "Wired";

That was only part of the problems at Vito Bruno's after-hours and night clubs in the 1980s. Along with the drugs came the drug-related gun violence, and that gun violence became part and parcel of the Hip-Hop culture and music that Vito featured and promoted at his and other clubs;

When the authorities started making the club business as practiced by Vito Bruno more and more difficult, Vito's business plan shifted away from the static clubs to a model of floating "Outlaw" parties and events that invaded many communities both in Manhattan and in the outer boroughs  ---  they too were hotly pursued by authorities as public nuisances in residential neighborhoods around the New York City;

One of the biggest scandals about Vito Bruno that has been very underreported thus far is his part in the personal descent and destruction of Vito Bruno's intern and protege, and heir and successor in the "Outlaw" parties and events scene,  Michael Alig.  Michael Alig was a nice kid from Chicago, who was a student at Fordham University, before he started doing "Outlaw Parties" with and for Vito Bruno.  Alig was convicted of murder and has spent most of his adult life in prison for his part in the killing of the main and long-time drug dealer at one of the clubs associated with Vito Bruno.  In a documentary about Michael Alig,  much of it done with Alig's cooperation while in prison, Michael Alig tipped his hat to Vito Bruno as the person who broke him into the business;  and

There are too many other similar anecdotes and details about Vito Bruno to go into specifics at this time.  However, if Vito Bruno remains on the public stage as an active Republican in any capacity, we will continue to bring it all out.....

THE DEMOCRATS KNOW IT  ---  AND THEY TALK ABOUT IT A LOT

Don't think that the Gounardes campaign and the Bay Ridge Dems don't know how to keep beating a drum once they've started  >>>  look at what they did to Marty Golden and his driving in 2018 <<<    And trust me,  they have so much more music to play against sex, drugs and rock'n'roll Ratso Vito Bruno  ---  and it all has a heavy drum beat and even maybe some cowbell on the radio and on TV.....

The recent anti-Vito Bruno mailers, and radio and TV ads from the Gounardes Campaign is just the most recent pieces of a broader Democrat pivot on the “Law and Order” issue.  Candidates like Republican-Conservative Vito Bruno will be used like a pinata to beat with a stick and pour out goodies in the renewed Democrat narrative about the phoniness of GOP pitches on “Law and Order.”

THINGS TO COME  [NOT BY H.G. WELLS]

What is coming is that  >>>  the Democrats will weaponize the Vito Bruno fiasco and use it again and again against other Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party candidates, it started in 2020, but it won't end there. It will continue into the 2021  municipal races <<<    They intend for Ratso Vito Bruno to be the gift that keeps on giving for years to come.....

Remember, you heard that here first.....

How many times will the Republicans employ the same old tired morality "law and order" play-book before they realise it's not working? Nicole has spent $18 million on it. If she loses, can we finally admit we need a new play-book?

You may be right. But I’m still voting for Vito on Tuesday. Gournades has been a tremendous let down.

Anonymous said...

Yes I agree. Lets hope all the republicans lose and all the democrats win.

I walked over to FHHS just before early voting ended. The lines were long and all the people I spoke to are voting for vito and nicole. But maybe that was just me. I'm sure Max is doing well in staten island.

Let's go with a whole new GOP team in 2021. Of the people that ran in 2017, only Liam McCabe hasn't lost in a general election.

As for mayor, both John Catsimatidis and Curtis Sliwa are like overworn old tires, both of whom are terribly compromised and morally corrupt. A far better choice would be somebody like the "Money Honey," Bay Ridge's own Maria Bartiromo. However, Maria would have to establish a NYC pied a terre as her legal residence poste haste.

Anonymous said...

Only Liam McCabe hasn't lost in a general election and that's because he couldn't even scrape together a few hundred votes against John Q and the Artist Formerly Known As B.C.

UNDER SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES, YOUR MERE MENTION OF THE INITIALS "B.C." WOULD HAVE EARNED YOU AND YOUR COMMENT A ONE WAY TICKET TO THE CENSORSHIP DUST BIN..... NONETHELESS, YOUR COMPOUND-COMPLEX AND POORLY PUNCTUATED SENTENCE PRESENTED ME WITH SO MANY POSSIBILITIES OF BASHING BOB CAPANO, HOW COULD I RESIST LETTING IT STAND SO THAT I COULD RESPOND

NEEDLESS TO SAY, LIAM MC CABE EASILY BEAT BOB CAPANO IN THE 2017 PRIMARY --- AND IF IT WERE A SIMPLER ONE-ON-ONE BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM, LIAM WOULD HAVE GIVEN THE SAME DEGREE OF A PASTING TO BOOBY BABY THAT HAPPENEND TO "B.C." IN 2017 AT THE HANDS OF JOHN QUAGLIONE

I AM GLAD THAT YOU REFERRED TO BOB CAPANO AS "... THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS B.C." --- BECAUSE BIB CAPANO IS AS MUCH AN "ARTIST" AS HE IS A "PROFESSOR," OR AS HE IS A PROFESSIONAL "JOURNALIST," OR AS HE IS A "BUSINESS EXECUTIVE" --- AND THAT IS NOT AT ALL

Let me quote Bob Capano to Bob Capano and his very few supporters --- "Ahahahahahaha !!!"

This blog has done a pathetic job of tearing down all GOP candidates. Crap from the 80's is not going to help the left. Max marches with cop killers and Nicole has a united front from PBA.

Max now claims hes not backed by DiBlasio. I guess thats a different democratic party. Is that like Max was against impeachment before he voted for it?

RESPONSE: THE "THIS BLOG DOESN'T DO ANY KIND OF JOB TEARING DOWN ALL GOP CANDIDATES" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:43 AM"

THIS BLOG OVERWHELMINGLY SUPPORTS REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES --- FROM TOP TO BOTTOM THE MAIN WRITER ON THIS BLOG VOTED AN ALMOST STRAIGHT CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN TICKET

YOU ARE MAKING A CRYPTO-DEFENSE OF WHINEY RATSO VITO BRUNO --- WHO IS TRYING TO LIMP ACROSS THE FINISH LINE BY HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT AND/OR BEHIND NICOLE MALLIOTAKIS' SKIRTS --- THERE IS NO "CRAP FROM THE 80s" THAT ANYBODY HAS EVER RAISED AGAINST NICOLE MALLIOTAKIS, SHE WASN'T EVEN TEN YEARS OLD UNTIL 1990 --- ON THE OTHER HAND "CRAP FROM THE 80s" IS WHAT VITO BRUNO IS ALL ABOUT IT, IT'S HIS PERSONAL BRAND THAT HIS BUSINESS IS STILL PEDDLING RIGHT UP TO AND INCLUDING TODAY

Whiney complains and complains whenever anybody brings up his personal history in the context of his falsely claimed political pose as a social values "law & order" conservative Republican. --- But even now, when it comes to his business, Vito Bruno still touts his part in the very violent and very illegal practices in the sex, drugs & rock'n'roll after-hours and other night clubs, and the "Outlaw" parties and events that he sponsored around NYC after the police, and city, state and Federal agencies shut down Vito's clubs.

Ratso never repented or even much talked about HIS PART in all of the investigations of his businesses and/or the convictions of so many of his friends, mentors, colleagues, business associates and competitors in those businesses. Even Vito's apprentice, protege and successor as guru of the "Outlaw" scene wound up in prison convicted of the murder of the principal drug dealer in one of the clubs that had been run by Vito.

Like I said before, when a true community values "Law & Order" conservative Republican voter is faced with an absolute RINO candidate like Whiney Ratso Vito Bruno --- it is that voter's duty to reject Bruno the candidate absolutely and in every way possible. More than a duty, it is >>> A MORAL IMPERATIVE <<<

Galewyn Massey is unassailable yet again here in his latest proviso salvo. Our Barry Goldwater Richard Nixon law n' order dog whistles are getting old. People aren't falling for it any longer. Forbye, how can we as a Party run any candidate as a Bastion of Integrity and Truth if they have criminal records of their own that have been well publicized and boasted upon? Self reflection involves the examination, contemplation, and analysis of one's thoughts, feelings, and actions and it begins on Wednesday.

It seems that Angela Sisto got into it with Danny Ortiz, a Deputy Clerk at the Brooklyn BOE, and the son of a local NYS Member of the Assembly, Felix Ortiz.....

There is plenty of blame and self-serving justification to go around, but Ray Riley cut through the Gordian Knot by ordering Angela Sisto removed from the site.

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "PROOF THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO BE SMART TO MAKE A FEW BUCKS" EDITION

I JUST FINISHED LISTENING TO TWANGY-VOICED WHINEY RATSO VITO BRUNO WASTE FOUR MINUTES OF VALUABLE AIR TIME WITH MARBLE-MOUTHED JOHN CATSIMATIDIS --- THE PODCAST WAS FROM 11-1-2020 --- AND THE BEST PARTS OF THE WHOLE PROGRAM WERE THE ROCKET MORTGAGE ADS AT THE BEGINNING AND THE END

I know that Vito has a hard-on for Mayors of the City of New York because they worked overtime trying to shut down everything that Vito did for twenty years, BTW, that was because it was all illegal stuff that was a gross public nuisance. >>> But really Vito Bruno has got to stop running for the state senate as if his opponent is Mayor Bill de Blah, Blah, Blah..... Just because Jerry Kassar and Fran Vella-Marone think that'll work doesn't mean that it will.

If Vito mentioned Gounardes by name at all, it was only one time..... The rest was "safety-crime-streets-Mayor de Blasio-safety-crime-streets-Mayor de Blasio-safety-crime-streets-Mayor de Blasio"

It amazes me that two morons like Vito Bruno and John Catsimatidis, who even bragged about his being pro-Bill Clinton, could talk for four minutes together and say next to nothing real. That's what happens when you lock too very egocentric, self-promoting guys in a small space and ask them to talk about other people and other things.

Eaton who???

Anonymous said...

12:21 Dont know what your obsession is with Eaton, but in any event, with the largest ever number of abstentee ballots cast and presently uncounted Ghorra will wind up with only 1 or 2 victories, and those still wont replace the two he lost 2 years ago.

Anonymous said...

Malliotakis ran a great race and Kassar gets all the credit for that one. He is a great State Chair.

She will probably lose in Brooklyn this year, like Donovan did 2 years ago.

Anonymous said...

Ghomora lost Golden and Donovan last round. If he keeps even two of these wins from tonight, all he did was replace what he lost. And if he keeps a Congress and Assembly seat, he actually lost, because we had a Great State Senator and a Great Congressman that he lost two years ago

The Brooklyn GOP scene cannot be understood without seeing the short video of three old guys in a garage with a venerable Cadillac --- that video speaks volumes.

RESPONSE: THE "GHORRA-RHEA CROWD ARE PINNING THEIR REP ON 'THE HEART OF BAY RIDGE'" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:51 AM" & "... AT 1:40 PM"

AS I SAID ABOVE, "I SUSPECT THAT [NO REPUBLICANS] DID PARTICULARLY WELL IN THE HEART OF ONCE-RELIABLY-REPUBLICAN BAY RIDGE --- BUT I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY E.D. BREAKDOWNS YET..." OFFICE BY OFFICE, AND CANDIDATE BY CANDIDATE

The anecdotal evidence is that the "Red Wave," if there was any in Brooklyn per se, didn't really occur in Bay Ridge proper.....

For Ghorra and his peeps to make it all about Bay Ridge is a classic strategic blunder that shows what a rank amateur he is, even after years on the job.

RESPONSE: THE "...'MORAL IMPERATIVE ARGUMENT'... ONLY APPLIES TO LYING VITO BRUNO AND HIS EQUALLY LYING SUPPORTERS LIKE THE UNETHICAL 'JOURNALIST' ROBERT CAPANO" EDITION

TO ANY OF THE COMMENTERS ABOVE WHO DENIGRATED "THE MORAL IMPERATIVE ARGUMENT" IN ANY WAY BEFORE OR AFTER THE RECENT ELECTION DAY RESULTS

THE "MORAL IMPERATIVE ARGUMENT" BEGAN TO BE ADVANCED ONLY AFTER A FEW OF BOB CAPANO'S COLUMNS DISHONESTLY ATTEMPTED TO COVER-UP VITO BRUNO'S WELL-DOCUMENTED HISTORY OF CRIMINAL AND OTHER UNLAWFUL AND INTENSELY SOCIOPATIC BEHAVIORS --- AND IT HAS CONTINUED SINCE THE APPARENT ELECTION OF VITO BRUNO AND OTHER REPUBLICANS --- THE ARGUMENT WAS NEVER ADVANCED AGAINST ANY GOP CANDIDATES IN BROOKLYN AMD/OR STATEN ISLAND OTHER THAN VITO BRUNO

gale didnt see any ED's in bay ridge but declared no red wave. Then how did all the GOP candidates backed by Ghorra win? was it those ED's in disneyland?

RESPONSE: THE "PREDICTIVE PRONOUNCEMENT CANNOT BE CHARACTERIZED AS ANY KIND OF 'WHINING'" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 11:21 AM"

IF ANY OF THE REPUBLICAN-CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES THAT WERE ELECTED IN BROOKLYN DURING 2020 DON'T TAKE HEED OF THE EXPERIENCE OF NYS STATE SENATOR DAVID STOROBIN LEADING UP TO AND DURING THE ELECTION OF 2012, THEN THEY ARE FOOLS

How anybody's talking about likely future scenarios or even possible future events can be characterized as "whining" or even "sour grapes" is quite beyond my ken.....

All that I said in my comment above "... at 12:43 AM on 11/5/2020" was --- "Whoever might have won is now under the gun of redistricting unless Andrew Cuomo might try to stand up to defend them." It doesn't defame anybody, nor does it denigrate what they accomplished in the 2020 election. This was a sub-comment in a broader comment about a conceptual "Red Wave" that might have happened in Brooklyn; and the specific context was whether such a wave did or didn't pass through Bay Ridge.

Thus, our message about "reapportionment" was far from "whining"; in fact, it was more than poignant >>> it was exquisite.

RESPONSE: THE "SOME COMMENTERS KNOW NEITHER FACTS NOR LOGIC" EDITON

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 2:49 PM"

.... INNUDDUH WOYDS, YUH DUNNO NUFFIN' 'BOUT GOP VOTES IN BAY RIDGE

I didn't see any ED breakdown anywhere inside Bay Ridge or outside..... However, I did mention in another comment that >>> "The anecdotal evidence is that the "Red Wave," if there was any in Brooklyn per se, didn't really occur in Bay Ridge proper....."

To be clear, somebody that actually took returns in Bay Ridge told me that the Republicans who had won ran behind in Bay Ridge from their overall totals and the returns from where they had run elsewhere in their respective districts.

The congressional, state senate, and two assembly seats that were gathered-in by the GOP in 2020 all have more EDs outside of Bay Ridge than inside Bay Ridge. Those are other neighborhoods in Brooklyn and/or Staten Island --- none of them is in Disneyland or anywhere close to Disneyland.

Chairperson Ghorra spoke of a tri-fecta win. Its been a quad.

HOLD ON...

Ghorra is taking credit for Nicole, Vito and Marc.

Nicole's victory credit goes to Chairman Lentry in SI;
Vito's victory goes to Chamberis;
and Marc's victory goes to Kassar.

Ghorra just did whatever he was told.

End of story.

Andys got a great future in front of him. Doing what I dont know but im sure itll be great.

Ghorra came in and Brooklyn lost a Sen Seat and a Congressional seat.

Nicole wins and Vito may win, and now Ghorra is a hero?

Give me a break.

9:09 is clueless

Ghorra claims 4 victories?

9:53 stated it best:

Congress win goes to Lantry (not Lentry) in SI and Kassar in Brooklyn;
Tanoussis win goes to Malliotakis, and this was not a competitive race;
Bruno win - if it even holds - goes to Chamberis, with a lot of help from Eaton who got the endorsements from Gov Pataki and Cong Turnewr early on, and got Vito on the Cats show every week;
Stymewich, or whatever his name is, win will never survive.

Ghorra can only take credit for his toupee, and man, you need to either shave that head or get a transplant because your photo on NY1 with the sweat pouring out from under it, was realllll scary.

Someone should tell him how it really looks.

9:09 must be new to the party

Lets see if I know my history - and please correct me if I am wrong:

Eaton, during his almost 10 year tenure won:

-Golden races every cycle-and that was a lot of races because Golden was a great elected official-one of the best I have ever worked with;
-Congress races every cycle - Fossella, Grimm, Donovan;
-elected Nicole to Assembly initially and then every cycle;
-won a special with Cong Grimm;
-won a special with Cong Turner; and
-won a special with Sen Storobin - all great Republicans until the Dems stole away the last two seats in redistricting.

Them are the facts and I think winning all those races would trump a few victories, two of which replaced the two he lost 2 years ago.

Facts speak volumes ladies and gentlemen.

Please let me know if these facts are wrong.
