Whistleblower --- schmisselblower !!!

The Democrats have decided that they want to join Alice in her descent into the earth on the trail of the white rabbit in the hat

I've read the "Whistleblowers Complaint" and I have one question:  "Is this supposed to be bad for Trump or Biden or both"

So far so good  ---  the Intelligence IG did fine in his sworn testimony explaining his refusal to turn the Whistleblower's letter and exhibits over to congress

Republicans are still strongly behind President Trump

As with all things Trump,  we'll have to wait and see how all this turns out

The man in the street Republican can still confidently assert  ---  "The whistleblower complaint about President Trump’s phone call with the president of the Ukraine and related matters is  “fake news”  and  “information warfare”  against the President of the United States.  It's only Democrats grasping at straws and thinking they can selfishly spin it into political golde for themselves

the whistleblower complaint about President Trump's phone call with the president of Ukraine as "fake news" and "information warfare against the president."

The only thing that will come out of impeachment is Trumps re-election.

This spells bad news for Max Nose.

The President of the United States asked a foreign leader for dirt on his likely Democrat opponent, with foreign aid used as an incentive for their political assistance.

Shame on any conservative who does not condemn Trump for this.

443, there isn't a scintilla of proof about anything that you claimed.

The facts are clear, the foreign aid went to the Ukraine and the Ukrainian prosecutor didn't commence any investigation; but all the noise from the Democrats and the lamestream US media lately might have changed that in the last day or two.

No conservative Republican need be anything but proud of President Trump at this moment. It's all the Democrats using their best dirty tricks to cover the vast international corruption of top Democrats like the Clintons, the Bidens and even good old John Kerry.

Trump withheld the foreign aid before the phone call. He reminded the Ukrainian leader how much American aid had been helpful to them. "We've been very good to your country. Very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what? I don't see much reciprocity here."

He asked them to work with Rudy and other people to garner information about his likely Democrat opponent's son. "I would like you to do us a favor though."

"I'm going to put you in touch with people, and not just any people. I'm going to put you in touch with the attorney general of the United States, my attorney general, Bill Barr. He's got the whole weight of the American law enforcement behind him. And I'm going to put you in touch with Rudy."

Using the government for campaign purposes is illegal, period.

Jim, have you never watched a mob movie? This is a classic gangster shakedown: nice country you got there, Unkraine. Shame if something happened to it.

Some of these triggered lunatic leftists on here need watch less movies and should get out and get some fresh air the oxygen can only help their brain cells. Mob shakedown? More like wacky DNC talking points. “Do me a favor” as any real New Yorker knows is a common frequently used expression by New Yorkers. The transcript speaks for itself their is no quid pro quo as such there is no crime except the idiots promoting these stories making us an international laughingstock.

LET'S ARREST ALL THE LIVING PRESIDENTS AND THROW THEM IN JAIL FOR WHAT >>>YOU<<< THINK IS AGAINST THE LAW --- YOUR TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME HAS REACHED A FEVER STAGE AND YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY DELIRIOUS --- AND THERE IS ONLY ONE CURE FOR YOUR FEVER

MORE COWBELL !!!!!

".... Using the government for campaign purposes is illegal, period...."

You are so naive and misguided. Ever since Andrew Jackson, and probably long before him, U.S. presidents have used the government for campaign purposes.

I think Trump is well in the clear on this Ukraine stuff. The Democrats couldn't get Trump in the first three years with Russia; and I don't think they'll get him in the next one with Ukraine either.

But, as you well know, I have on occasion been wrong; and of course, as Harold MacMillan is reported to have said, "Events, my dear boy, events...."

Let's see what happens next.

And keep those cards and letters coming.....

The so-called conservatives on here were frothing at the mouth to impeach Bill Clinton for lying under oath about a blowjob.

Trump solicited campaign assistance from a foreign power, under threat of withholding foreign aid. And he suggested the whistleblower should be harmed for coming forward.

Not to mention almost two full years of Trump personally profiting in violation of the Emolements Act, with foreign governments lining his and his family's pockets by the millions.

Yet the so-called conservatives on here say there's nothing to see, move alone.

You guys are hypocrites. Plain and simple.

But when Trumpy Von Putinhump leaves office, I will break out the champagne.

From a former staffer of Senator Chuck Grassley:

"I read the White House “transcript” between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. I read the whistleblower complaint. And I read the inspector general cover letter. By background, I spent 34 years dealing intimately with whistleblowers and protecting them. I spent 19 years in the United States Senate deeply involved in writing every prominent whistleblower law from 1983 to 2000. I then spent five years as executive director of the National Whistleblower Center, which helped write post-Enron corporate whistleblower laws, and defended numerous national security and other whistleblowers. I have never seen a more buttoned-up set of whistleblower allegations than these. ...In this one brief complaint, the whistleblower managed to do what former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation could not: ensnare the president of the United States himself in a shameful abuse of his power. Trump held back military aid to Ukraine then asked Ukraine for “a favor” — to dig up or create dirt on a political rival for the forthcoming election.

10:46 is making up stuff the way Schiffmoron did. Clinton impeachment was about obstruction of justice and perjury where he lied about events that could have helped another woman suing him for sexual harassment—something that should be taken very seriously. In Trump’s case you have a phony complaint backed up only by a call that doesn’t show any quit pro quo but for the fantasies of anti Trumpers making insane inferences from a fairly basic routine conversation.

Anonymous said...

2:11 is all about the insults, not the facts.

Bill Clinton lied under oath and deserved to be impeached.

Trump asked a foreign government to help take down his Democratic opponent (and probably not the first time that happened), after putting a stop on foreign aid that Congress previously approved for Ukraine.

Nothing phony about it: Trump makes a mockery of our constitutional system, and has since he took office. The Emoluments Clause alone should be reason to remove him from office.

143, you sound like a super insider, deep swamp denizen now making big bucks on K Street or its equivalent.

Lot's of people did the kind of staff work that you described as doing for nineteen years. I'm sure that most of your research went for naught, most of your drafts got shredded unincorporated in any laws or rules, and your 'advice' likely fell on deaf ears more often than not. Try not to be bitter, it'll probably shorten the time that's left for you to do some good in your life.

This so-called 'buttoned-up set of whistleblower allegations' only seem to have validity to those with seriously buttoned down minds resulting from Trump derangement syndrome. In short it's just the latest anti-Trump witch hunt.

This is another Russia Collusion fiasco for the Democrats and the 'Never Trump' crowd. It'll probably re-elect the President and return the House to Republican control.

If people like you didn't already exist, our side would have had to invent you to get all the good that will be flowing our way.

UPDATE AND BACKFILL: THE "WHY NO TALK ABOUT JOE BIDEN'S AND BIG DEMOCRAT $$$$$'S PART IN ALL THIS???" EDITION

FORGET TREES FALLING, A BOMB WENT OFF IN THE FOREST YESTERDAY AND FEWER PEOPLE THAN SHOULD HAVE HEARD ABOUT IT, BECAUSE AS USUAL BIG MEDIA IS IN THE TANK FOR THE DEMOCRATS

AARON KLEIN OF BREITBART NEWS REPORTED YESTERDAY THAT >>>THERE IS A BIG DEMOCRAT MONEY MACHINE<<< BEHIND THE WHOLE "WHISTLEBLOWER LETTER" STORY AND IT HAS MANY OF THE USUAL DEMOCRAT $$$$$ SUSPECTS INVOLVED.....

THE BREITBART ARTICLE BY AARON KLEIN ALSO SUGGESTS BIGGER THINGS TO COME, LIKE --- WILL THE STORY SOON BE A NEW LOOK AT A BIT OF OLD NEWS ABOUT HOW VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN HIMSELF BRAGGED ABOUT THREATENING TO CUT OFF LOAN GUARANTEES TO UKRAINE LONG BEFORE TRUMP EVER BECAME PRESIDENT IF A UKRAINIAN PROSECUTOR KEPT INVESTIGATING ALLEGATIONS OF CORRUPTION INVOLVING JOE BIDEN'S SON HUNTER BIDEN AND THE BURISMA NATURAL GAS OLIGARCH MYKOLA ZLOCHEVSKY

It's a long but very pithy report, and no Republican should even think about this BS "Whistleblower Letter" without reading Aaron Klein's feature in Breitbart News (See "Common Funding Themes Link ‘Whistleblower’ Complaint and CrowdStrike Firm Certifying DNC Russia ‘Hack’" by Aaron Klein, 9/28/19, Breitbart News/Trending [https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/09/28/common-funding-themes-link-whistleblower-complaint-and-crowdstrike-firm-certifying-dnc-russia-hack/]).

The Washington Post gave this report a scant three or four lines in a much longer report on right wing attempts to track down and (they didn't actually say the word) lynch the writer of the "Whistleblower Letter".....

RESPONSE: THE "LA TIMES CRAP --- PILED VERY HIGH AND VERY DEEP --- GOOD EATIN' FOR DEMOCRATS AND NEVER TRUMP REPUBLICANS" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 5:50 PM"

YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS..... THE FIRED UKRAINIAN PROSECUTOR LUTSENKO PRETTY MUCH SAYS I SAW NO LAWS BROKEN, BECAUSE I DIDN'T LOOK --- HAVE YOUR FBI AND FEDERAL PROSECUTORS TAKE CARE OF IT --- BTW, HE ALSO SAID JOE BIDEN WAS PROBABLY GUILTY OF A CONFLICT OF INTEREST IN HIS DEALINGS WITH THE UKRAINE

This is more of the same nothing-burgher as the Soros-GOOGLE-funded "Whistleblower Letter" that victims of Trump Derangement Syndrome think is a porterhouse steak.

BTW, here are some legitimate reasons why Trump would want to see Joe Biden investigated and prosecuted: Trump doesn't see how anybody would think that Hunter Biden was getting paid $50,000 a month by Burisma Natural Gas other than his being Joe Biden's son; meanwhile, as Vice President, Joe Biden had used his office to advance the interests of Burisma Natural Gas and he bragged about it at the time; and even the LA Times' main source for yesterday's article cited by "Anonymous... at 5:50 PM" above, former Ukrainian Prosecutor Yuri Lutsenko, says that while Vice President, Joe Biden was probably guilty of a conflict of interest.

And in a related matter: The NIH has determined that "Trump Derangement Syndrome" is the probable result of eating too much quiche while reading the New York Times during Sunday brunch.

Anonymous said...

By your Biden standards, Trump, his sons, Ivanka and Jarad are guilty of far worse than a conflict of interest.

RESPONSE: THE "NOW YOU'RE JUST BEING SILLY" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID.. AT 4:38 AM"

WHY NOT JUST SAY, "SO'S YOUR OLD MAN !!!"

What conservative Republicans need to know is that most Democrats, and every one with Trump Derangement Syndrome, are neither well informed nor serious thinkers. They have taken their anti-Trump presumptions and made them into a virtue signalling litmus test of moral rectitude.

Republican Teddy Roosevelt was attacked in much the same way as Trump; and Donald Trump is more like Teddy Roosevelt than any other president since TEDDY, with the possible exception of the second Roosevelt to sit in the White House.

Trump and his kids have made millions from U.S. government employees and foreign leaders staying at Trump properties while he has been president.

Trump is the swamp.

Jim, we made Jimmy Carter sell his peanut farm before he became President.

Trump is using the presidency to steer business to his hotels and golf courses.

Anonymous said...

941, Ivanka can sit in on any meeting that she is allowed to be at if she chooses to be there, and once there say whatever she wants.

Trump isn't the swamp, I know the swamp, the Kennedy boys were the swamp; LBJ was the swamp; Nixon was the swamp; Ford, Carter and Reagan were the swamp; the two Bushes were the most swamp of all; the Clintons were and still want to stay the swamp; and Obama and Biden were very much the swamp. Trump isn't like any of them at all, he expects so much more; and before he's finished he'll get everything that HE thinks he is entitled to.

1058, so what that Jimmy Carter sold his peanut farm.

And anybody who mentions the "Emoluments Clause" certainly hasn't read it or is completely unserious when bringing it up against President Trump, simply because there is no "Emoluments Clause" anywhere in the US Constitution --- although the word "emolument" does appear in what is properly referred to as the "Nobility Clause."

Three years ago or so, when the Democrats and the "never Trumpers" and the mainstream media first mentioned the "Emoluments Clause," Trump more or less told them all to shove it up their joint and several asses. And as for "... Trump ... using the presidency to steer business to his hotels and golf courses..." that's how he rolls and you need to grow up.

1:55 so you admit Trump is using the presidency to enrich his family. Previous presidents had the courtesy to wait til they left office to cash in.

Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano argued in a column and video published on FoxNews.com Thursday morning that President Donald Trump’s “criminal behavior” with regard to Ukraine is impeachable, and that his threats against the whistleblower are dangerous.

The column opens by noting that “the criminal behavior to which Trump has admitted is much more grave than anything alleged or unearthed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and much of what Mueller revealed was impeachable,” before outlining the specifics of the Ukraine scandal currently presenting an existential threat to his administration.

He later calls out the specific language used by Trump towards the unnamed whistleblower:

Trump has also admitted to accusing the as-yet publicly unnamed whistleblower of treason, and suggesting that the whistleblower and those who have helped him are spies and ought to be treated as spies were in “the old days” (Trump’s phrase) – that is, by hanging.

The president’s allusions to violence are palpably dangerous. They will give cover to crazies who crave violence, as other intemperate words of his have done. His words have already produced offers of “bounties” in return for outing and finding the whistleblower.

Trump also suggested that his impeachment would produce a second American Civil War. This language is a dog whistle to the deranged.

But it is Napolitano’s summation in the video, embedded above via FoxNews.com, that will likely raise the most eyebrows. The Fox News analyst recaps the story, including the important context of Russia, Crimea, and U.S. Congress approved aid that was held up by President Trump, “which arguably” was in return for digging up dirt on Trump’s political opponent.

Napolitano says plainly “that was a violation of federal law,” then dropped the hammer. “That is an impeachable offense. That is what the Democrats are seeking to investigate.”

He then mentioned the debate of who’s actions were worse, those made by Joe Biden or Donald Trump, which he dismissed as “these are arguments made by the president’s supporters.”

He finished by offering advice to Trump on how to handle the inquiry, saying that, instead of acting like a “frenetic lawyer on television trying to make Joe Biden look worse, the president should present a principled defense if he has one, because the Democrats have a lot of evidence against him.
