Well at least they finally scheduled a convention. Of course hoping that no one shows up. We didn’t know it at the time but Craig Eaton left in epic fashion. Everybody was complaining about Arnaldo and Lucretia and unified behind Ted, but can anyone really claim we’re better off now than we were four years ago?
We heard all the proxies for the convention were stolen during the home invasion across the street from Liam's house --- well, not really his house but the house where he sleeps on his girlfriend's mom's pull out sofa
Interestingly ... the official convention notice does not (for the first time in about 25 years) contain a postage-paid proxy authorizing the current chairman to cast the vote. He and Marty have run the party so far into the ground they aren't the least bit concerned about a challenge: nobody wants the job.

The Brooklyn GOP has been run completely into the ground in just a few years after Craig left. The fact that we don’t have an office and just a PO Box is not nearly as concerning as the fact that there isn’t one race in the entire Borough that we have a chance of winning. The new Chair will be the old Chair or whoever else Marty will be persuaded to support. This is all such a sad charade.

Under Craig Eaton’s helm we had a large office with twenty phones, a nice Lincoln Day Dinner every year with nationally prominent guest speakers, at one point we even had five elected officials, two congressmen, two state senators and an assemblyman. Sure we all had our differences but we were a legitimate county wide party with an actual organization. In just a few years after Craig left, we have only one elected not five, and that’s just an assemblyman really from Staten Island. We no longer have an office, or a room or even a desk somewhere. We have a P.O. Box! A P.O. Box, can you imagine? We’ve gone from a nice Lincoln Day reception every year in upscale venues with nationally known speakers, to one event every couple of years, the latest one being crab cakes with Joe Borelli. Who could blame Craig from not wanting anything to do with this mess. Some of us warned you this would happen and if you like the way things are that’s great, just please stop trying to convince the others that it was a good idea to trade in that brand new Mercedes for a used Pinto.
