If ERIC ULRICH is --- NOT --- the Republican-style candidate for Public Advocate for --- YOU --- then maybe --- YOUR REAL REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE --- should be MANNY ALICANDRO

Of all the candidates in the Feb. 26 special election for NYC Public Advocate, Manny Alicandro is the only one running >>> and <<< saying that he’s pro-Trump

Recognized as a good choice by many Republican groups and organizations throughout the city  ---  long time favorite of the Craig Eaton faction of the Brooklyn GOP

Manny Alicandro is the Brooklyn-bred Republican attorney, who is on the special election ballot for New York City Public Advocate.  He sees himself as an ally of President Trump and he's borrowed a very identifiable Trump trope.  Manny tells everyone that he wants to  >>>  “Make NYC Great Again.”
In addition, according to a report in the New York Post, Mr. Alicandro says that he has spoken to President Trump, and the president encouraged Manny to run. According to the Post report, Alicandro is quoted as follows:  “... 'He’s happy that I’m a pro-Trump candidate and there’s a pro-Trump candidate in the race....  I’m the only pro-Trump candidate in the race and that’s important because there’s a bunch of Democrats and there’s one Republican who’s an anti-Trumper and it’s important to point that out.'...” (See "Pro-Trump public advocate candidate wants to ‘Make NYC Great Again’ " bNatalie Musumeci,  2/4/19, New York Post / Metro   [https://nypost.com/2019/02/04/pro-trump-public-advocate-candidate-wants-to-make-nyc-great-again/]).
The Post article by Natalie Musumeci also quote the pro-Trump Republican thus:  "I think we’ll do great....   I really feel strongly that the people in this city...  believe it or not...  a lot of them are supportive of Trump.... They’re just not necessarily comfortable talking about it....”
Many Republican organizations and groups around the City of New York have recognized and applaud Manny Alicandro's run for Public Advocate. He recently was invited to speak at the Metropolitan Republican Club's February "Social".....  Both his appearance and remarks were warmly received,  even though there were attempts by Ulrich supporters to undermine  Mr. Alicandro's appearance last week.
Craig Eaton has been a booster of Manny Alicandro for a long, long time.....   Nothing has happened to diminish Mr. Eaton's appreciation of Mr. Alicandro since he he threw his hat in the ring for NYC Public Advocate in the "Special"  ---  maybe, we should stay tuned for more on that front.

Craig Eaton is still very influential among Republican movers and shakers, both in Brooklyn and all around the city.  He still influences a significant faction of Brooklyn's elected GOP leaders (State Committee Members) and other Brooklyn activists of all sorts.....  He perhaps has even more leverage through his ongoing associations with various city-wide political operations.  Even his behind the scenes support of a candidate, like, let's say Manny Alicandro, can pay dividends both to the Alicandro campaign in the "Special"  ---  and to later city-wide political initiatives by Mr. Alicandro and/or others.
Although Manny's race is substantially underfunded, he has made good use of "earned media" and has had boosts from several celebrities.

I, for one, reject the notion that Eal Republicans have no place in NYC politics.

And I'm voting for Manny "The Eal Republican" Allicandro on Feb. 26.

The Brooklyn Conservatives endorsed Eric. This would explain the social media meltdown some of Jerry's sycophants experienced when Manny spoke at the Met Club recently. Liam is going to meetings begging people to take Eric's lawn signs and saying Manny doesn't have a chance to win. Probably not but I wouldn't be surprised if Manny does better than Eric and there are far more meltdowns.

About 2 weeks until Liam loses yet again with Ulrich

I heard that a Queens group of GOP activists has been pressing Craig Eaton to endorse Manny, but that Eaton thinks it's too late in the game to make a difference in the outcome of the special election.

I heard that if Ulrich is elected, he won't have any rugs in his office.

I heard that the Marty Golden crowd is sticking behind the man with the bad rug, Ted Ghorra, to continue as the chair of the Brooklyn Republican Party. I guess, with them nothing succeeds like failure.

Ted is a placeholder until Jerry can find the next puppet. It was supposed to be Liam and probably will be Liam but most of whats left of rank and file of Brooklyn GOP not having it.

RESPONSE - UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "IT'S EITHER "BACK TO THE FUTURE" -OR- ONLY MAGGOTS IN THE CORPSE OF THE BROOKLYN GOP" EDITION

TO THE FEW COMMENTERS ABOVE THAT IMPLIED THERE ARE SOME SIGNS OF LIFE IN THE KINGS COUNTY REPUBLICAN ORGANIZATION:
PLEASE, STOP SPREADING YOUR DELUSIONS -- OR POSSIBLY -- SPREADING YOUR INTENTIONAL "GOLDEN FACTION" MISINFORMATION.....

Earlier this week, a name from the not-very-long-ago political past, Ray Riley, re-emerged from the recesses and shadows of his "moving on" - "post-Golden" job to gather some of the troops at the Bay Ridge Manor to kiss the Golden Ass. It was obviously intended to accomplish two things: funnel some more "political" cash into the Golden family business; and score a few "political" points with the few Republicans still in the camp of "the Golden faithful" (a dwindling number, to be sure).

My BSI on-site reported that it was a semi-formalistic and dry affair of mostly BOE-employed members of the Brooklyn GOP Executive Committee. They got a chance to have their ears beaten with guff about Marty G's musings about taking his NYS Senate seat back in 2020, and the need to hold onto and pick up State Committee slots, as well as hold off anybody that might want to challenge Ted Ghorra's chairmanship in 2019.

Whether anything real happened politically at the Ray Riley organized event is problematic at best. And whether it was much of a money-laundering success for Marty G. will have to await future bookkeeping and/or filings to determine. Having Ray Riley back "in harness" looks like one small step "Back to the Future".....

But my specific take-away is this: The Brooklyn GOP corpse has not been re-animated, any appearance of movement is just the stirrings of maggots inside the corpse

A republican named Manny with no money. Sounds like a sure thing.

A Republican named Eric who made Melissa Mark Viverito Speaker and is at war with Brooklyn's only GOP elected official sounds like a sure thing.

Less than 2 weeks for yet another Liam loss with Ulrich.
By the way, Malliotakis still has and is not endorsing Ulrich..so much for Liam BS about "peace in the valley " between them

Brilliant move by Eric making Viverto Speaker. She'll split the dems just enough for Eric to win.

Eric polling awful is several Dems internals. Panic setting in. Vote for Manny to send this loser a message that his scorched earth divisive tactics aren’t welcome in Brooklyn or Staten Island.

NY1 debate for top 7 tier candidates announced. Eric Ulrich not in it...bye bye eric--- and Liam..

Still no endorsement of Ulrich by Brooklyn s GOP only elected official, Nicole Malliotakis...Liam is alone

Not sure what Eric's endgame is. If he somehow were to win a close race in a field of 17, he gets trounced 80-20 in November. That kind of defeat doesn't lend itself to a future race for State Senate. Or Congress. Or dogcatcher.

Hey all you haters, this isn't either Eric Ulrich's or Liam McCabe's first rodeo.
Any campaigning to all voters will not help Eric Ulrich get elected. Can't you see that Eric's not being part of the NY1 Debate is part of a Liam and Eric strategy of flying under the radar as much as possible city wide and concentrating all their efforts on the remaining Republican-Conservative base. You only have to look at how Liam did the same thing for Steve Saperstein in his last go round in 2018. Even though Saperstein lost, Liam knows that with percentages like the ones Steve got in Steve's strong areas, Eric would win the special election for New York City Public Advocate easily.

6:52 is talking like Liam plans stuff. On purpose.

Anonymous said...

Liam will be the last man standing.

All you have to do is ask Saperstein about what kind of job Saperstein did for him. He blames Liam for his loss.

Anonymous said...

Of course you meant to say this: "... [A]sk Saperstein about what kind of job Liam McCabe did for him. He blames Liam for his loss."

6:52, here's what 'No Ulrich in final PA debate' really means about Ulrich, the whole Ulrich campaign, and even Liam's small part in it:

According to the CFB, Michael Blake, Rafael Espinal Jr., Ron Kim, Nomiki Konst, Melissa Mark-Viverito, Dawn Smalls and Jumaane Williams met the thresholds to qualify for what they are calling "The 'Leading Contenders' Debate". The candidates who qualified, according to the CFB, needed to have raised and spent $170,813 by February 15th. They also needed to have received an endorsement from either an NYC city, state or federal public official, or from one or more NYC organizations with more than 250 members.

The Ulrich campaign crashed and burned on takeoff, but we are only getting word of the casualties now. In other words, any and all talk about an Eric Ulrich campaign for Public Advocate was a "BIG LIE" from the get go. "There was no 'there' there"; and there never was. It was a scam, nothing, nada, phffft; you know, the typical Liam kind of stuff.

Don’t worry guys after Eric gets embarrassed, Jerry will have Liam and the Steeple crew busy working on and wrecking Nicole’s Congressional campaign. They’ll also claim that was the plan along.

Manny Alicandro's new posters don't mention his last name. A real amateur operation.
