President TRUMP has his moment --- His Joint Session speech is TRIUMPHANT and INSPIRATIONAL

Even  CNN  has to acknowledge Trump’s speech was "purposeful" - "statesmanlike" -  and - "hitting notes of inspiration" in an article entitled:  “PRESIDENTIAL TRUMP”

Here’s how one of CNN’s lengthy written commentaries about President Trump’s address to the Joint Session of Congress, the government and the nation started:    ”President Donald Trump reached for poetry and conjured a vision of common national purpose Tuesday during his first address to Congress, shifting his tone from the dark, searing approach of his previous big speeches to the nation….   Trump adopted a statesmanlike cadence, hitting notes of inspiration. For once, this most unorthodox of politicians struck a conventional presidential posture as he sought to stabilize his administration after a tumultuous five weeks in office…..   Though his language was more lofty and unifying than normal, Trump gave little quarter on the substance of his policies on issues ranging from trade, defense, immigration and counterterrorism. The result was a populist, nationalistic prescription that he said would yield ‘a new chapter of American greatness.’…"  (See “Presidential Trump” by Stephen Collinson. 3/1/17,  CNN/  Politics   []).

"From now on, America will be empowered by our aspirations, not burdened by our fears, inspired by the future, not bound by failures of the past, and guided by a vision, not blinded by our doubts…."

"I am asking all citizens to embrace this renewal of the American spirit. I am asking all members of Congress to join me in dreaming big, and bold, and daring things for our country....   I am asking everyone watching tonight to seize this moment. Believe in yourselves. Believe in your future. And believe, once more, in America…."

"My job is not to represent the world. My job is to represent the United States of America….   But we know that America is better off when there is less conflict, not more. We must learn from the mistakes of the past. We have seen the war and the destruction that have ravaged and raged throughout the world…."

The speech was all generic cliches. Sounded like an old time hack. Nothing of substance, controlled, or otherwise.

Yeah the Presidents speech is important. But I'm still in a fog over Bridgeviewgate. That whole diner scene has bad karma

Equities reached new record levels as the Post-Trump-Election Rally continued with its biggest daily jump in 2017 on the day after Trump's big speech to the Joint Session of the Congress.....

Yes it was a fine speech but it looks like John Mitchell won't be the only AG to go to prison. Jefferson Davis Sessions seems to have fallen into the trap set by our next President Al Franken.

This reminds me of Watergate. The Watergate prosecutors knew all about Alexander Butterfield and the White house taping system long before the first hearing was held. Same hear. The FBI knows who was the go between was between the Trump campaign and the Reds.

Mike Pence, a fine man with a good family, seems to be handling it all ok.
