First she said it was “sexism” --- then it was “nothing” --- then it was “allergies”--- then it was “pneumonia caused by.allergies” --- What they all had in common were that they involved questions about HRC’s fitness serve because of issues about her health
If Hillary has to quit because of any kind of health condition, or anything else --- it would be UNPRECEDENTED --- AND it would be >>> BAD, BAD, BAD <<< for AMERICAN WOMEN
According to the Daily News, “If Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump get too sick to campaign, we’re in for a last-minute mess…. Clinton’s health scare on Sunday — and her campaign’s shady disclosure that she is battling pneumonia — raised questions about her White House fitness, with less than 60 days before the election….” ( See “Here’s what happens if Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump drop out of the campaign for health problems” by Jason Silverstein, 9/12/16, NY Daily News/ Politics. [http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/clinton-trump-sick-campaign-article-1.2788686]).
The DN article goes on to ask this straightforward question: “…. [W]hat happens if the nominees get too sick to keep fighting for the White House?... Diagnosis: confusion…. The Constitution — which established the terms for the presidency and the vice presidency — doesn’t specify what should happen if the nominees need a health leave…. The closest answer, then, lies with the respective political parties — both of which have their own rules for picking a replacement….”
The next paragraph was the only important part in the whole piece by Jason Silverstein, “…. If Clinton cannot campaign and drops out, the Democratic National Committee has to fill her spot, according to its charter. The party would hold a special meeting, with officials getting one vote each. Whoever wins the majority wins the nomination….” --- IT WAS THE WHOLE REASON FOR THE ARTICLE AND THERE’S THE RUB….
Anything that causes Hillary Clinton to drop out this race would be more disruptive to the process, as a whole, than allowing her continue through to election day. --- The News’ writer pretty much acknowledged that with this observation: “…. Even with these rules on the books, though, the process remains speculative, because it has never been necessary….”
--- As important as that might be, it’s far more important for American women that HRC’s run for president go through to its proper conclusion --- a vote in the national election on Election Day. ---… Whether one believes the gender card can trump any of the other cards or not, many Americans are invested in Hillary Clinton’s run for the presidency, because she is the first female candidate for President of the United States that has won a major party nomination. If that doesn’t result in a vote for or against that woman, it will be a complete MISCARRIAGE. Furthermore, it would be completely unprecedented in the annals of major party nominees. --- Those two factors should make the merest consideration of the possibility --- an outrage.
