John Giuca conviction in the Mark Fisher murder case is taken apart one more time --- this time on national TV --- on ABC’s 20-20 earlier tonight

Step by step ABC  took apart both the investigation and the prosecution

One by one the witnesses recanted their testimony and the prosecutor,  Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi was shown to have engaged in prosecutorial misconduct

Last night ABC News did a five-plus minute segment about the overturned conviction in the John Giuca persecution  in the John Fisher murder case   (See  “A college student's murder, a jailhouse confession and one mother's crusade to free her son”  by  Joseph Rhee,  Jim Dubreuil,  Chris Kilmer,  Kate O’Brien  &  Alexa Valiente,  4/5/18  with video link to ABC News feature   [http://abcnews.go.com/US/college-students-murder-jailhouse-confession-mothers-crusade-free/story?id=54241590]).   ABC  followed that up with a full hour national feature  on  its Friday  night 10:00  PM flagship national TV news magazine  program,  “20-20”…..

The 20-20  feature  “SCOOP”  itself was major media news almost all day long on Friday in/on  various media news  outlets.

MORE ON THIS AS SOON AS ABC’s  20-20  PUTS UP ITS TEXT VERSION AND LINK

There is already a lot of stuff up on ABC’s  20-20  social media pages  (See  [https://twitter.com/ABC2020?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Enews%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor];  and [https://www.facebook.com/ABC2020/videos/10155806281019934/]).

Gale you were ahead of everyone by years on this case. I watched the 20/20 episode tonight and it explained the frame up of John Giuca. Susan Clearys son Albert played a big role. Maybe because Albert Cleary is one of the real killers?

But you had it all figured out years before ABC News. Congrats to you Gale you closet investigative reporter you. You can spot the corruption. You can smell it. All while others dont see it.

And I recall a lawyer named Phil Smallman had some involvement with Cleary. And some involvement with the DA Hynes who orchestrated the cover up.

You pointed out that the 20/20 segment outlined that prosecutor turned TV star anna sigga nicolazzi engaged in prosecutorial misconduct. That was also the reason the appeals court gave for overturning Giuca. So why is the DA and dour faced judge acting like they dont know?

It's interesting that another of the crew of questionable lawyers trying to defend the discredited verdict against John Giuca is none other than "Bay Ridge" lawyer Salvatore Strazzullo, who was made to look like a very oily character indeed in the 20-20 broadcast.

Anonymous said...

Strazzullo represented one of the craziest characters ever to appear on 20/20, the corrupt and obviously lying former Giuca juror, Jason Allo.

Has anybody ever asked these questions:
Why does a JUROR need a hooked-up lawyer like Sal Strazzullo? and
How did Allo get into the jury pool for this case in the first place?

Anonymous said...

So why did Hynes frame Giuca so albert Cleary could walk?

Anonymous said...

20/20 got cold feet. A prosecutor in the DA's office was in on the Fisher murder. Assistant District Attorney Angel DiPietro reporting for murder !!

When disgraced DA hynes had a party last summer to honor his tenure as the dirtiest prosecutor in America Marty Golden was the one and only elected official to attend. The only one.

Anonymous said...

And they say, 'There's no honor among thieves.'

Anonymous said...

9:56 does have a point. Hynes used his asset forfeiture money to buy support from politicians. When Hynes was DA he had dozens of forums at the Bay Ridge Manor for senior citizens.

Ya think Marty got some of that money? Or did it go to some LLC that manages the place?

Anonymous said...

It's very simple when the family business is a laundry. You put your money in the machine and everything comes out nice and clean. If you want, they'll even sort and fold it for you; it fits in your wallet better that way.

Anonymous said...

If you think all Marty got was money for senior citizen events you are wrong. The seniors that go to those "seminars" have money and homes when they go in. When they leave Connors & Sullivan has stepped in.

Anonymous said...

Didn't DA Hynes have a Seniors' Program so that nobody else could swindle the old folks?

Anonymous said...

Yes 11;23 Hynes did have a senior citizens unit designed just to steal old peoples property.

Google "Judge John Phillips Brooklyn"

Hynes was a thief & Marty, Mike Long, Pam Harris were his operatives.

Anonymous said...

It looks like Harris is going to plead guilty and do some time. When that happens the role Mark Treyger played will never be known. Harris got charged with using the money from Treygers council funds to pay her rent and buy goodies. Did Treyger testify in the grand jury in exchange for immunity?

Gentile would know the answer to that.

Anonymous said...

Gentile is running for Harris seat. McCreight is out.

Anonymous said...

With Gentile in all other dems will drop out.

Anonymous said...

Gentile will be making half the salary that he was getting in city council.

FLASH NEWS BREAK: THE "EPIPHENOMENON A LOT LIKE THE MARK FISHER CASE" EDITION

EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, ONE OF MY BAKER STREET IRREGULARS WAKES ME UP AND TELLS ME "YOU GOTTA LOOK INTO THIS" --- USUALLY IT'S SOMETHING PRETTY TAME AND ROUTINE --- BUT SOMETIMES, IT'S SPECIAL.....

THIS TIME IT LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT BE SOMEBODY FROM >>> BAY RIDGE <<< WITH SOME REAL >>> "DEEP LINKS" <<< TO THE MAYOR THE BROOKLYN DA AND OTHERS IS INVOLVED IN A "GUN RAP" AND AN >>> ACTIVE SHOOTER <<< SITUATION THAT HARKENS STRAIGHT BACK TO THE GIUCA CASE AND THE MANY YEARS AGO MARK FISHER MURDER

This is all still developing..... And I have a feeling I'll have more about it soon enough..... But for now there's this: ".... Reagan Stevens, a deputy director in the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, and two young men were arrested for illegal weapons possession while sitting in a double-parked car near the scene of a Saturday night shooting in Queens, cops said.... A loaded, 9mm semi-automatic pistol with its serial number defaced was hidden in the car’s glovebox, and there was a spent shell casing on the floor near Stevens’ feet in the rear of the 2002 dark red Infiniti SUV, law enforcement sources said.... The trio’s arrest followed a burst of five gunshots that activated an NYPD “ShotSpotter” device in Jamaica at 9:42 p.m. Saturday, sources said...." (See "De Blasio aide busted with gun in car" by Shawn Cohen, Larry Celona & Bruce Golding, 4/8/18 [https://nypost.com/2018/04/08/director-of-citys-office-of-criminal-justice-busted-for-gun-possession/]).

Reagan Stevens ain't no kid; she's 42 yoa, lives in the heart of Bay Ridge, in the apartment building at the top of the steps on 74th Street, between Ridge and Colonial and used to work for the Brooklyn DA.....

But wait, it gets better --- I'm not saying that Reagan Stevens' is in any way involved with the Giuca case --- BUT --- Reagan Stevens' age, that she is involved in a criminal shooting in a car with some obvious desperados, that she worked for the Brooklyn DA, and the fact that her step-dad, Sal Modica, is an Acting Supreme Court Judge sitting in Queens does seem to suggest some very interesting parallels with Brooklyn ADA Angel DiPietro, a key person of interest in the Giuca-Mark Fisher case.

Anonymous said...

Gale you neglected to point out that Reagan Stevens (is that her stage name) also has a mom that is a criminal court Judge. Mom & Dad appointed by Mayor as Judges and Gun girl is also mayoral appointee for criminal justice. Something in the genes I guess.

Reagan Stevens was with 2 guys and staking out a saturday night hit on someone with a gun that has serial numbers filed off. you know how kids get on Saturday nights. The only thing missing was a silencer. Bail seemed low but that must be the family discount.

Outside of that I dont see a story here.

Anonymous said...

Yikes !!!

Reagan Stevens is 42 and the 2 guys arrested with her were half her age. Both of those guys have a dozen arrests that were sealed presumably by Steven Mom & Dad Judges and spent shell casings were by Stevens feets. Oh and the Judge that arraigned her let her out without any bail.

Anonymous said...

Daily News said the Mayors criminal justice co-ordinator also has a sealed case from last year. Lots of sealed cases in Queens.

Anonymous said...

Does every criminal start out by working for Hynes?

Anonymous said...

No 9;48 not every criminal started out working for HYnes. Just the white ones.

Anonymous said...

The story with Mayors criminal justice commish Reagan Steven who sounds like a cousin of Stormy Daniels is a scandal that is being promptly buried. The Queens DA Richard Brown is dirtier than hynes but smarter. The chair I'm sitting on is smarter than hynes.

Anonymous said...

I know stormy Daniels. We went to cooking school together. Stormy Daniels was a friend of mine.

Reagan Stevens you are no Stormy Daniels.

Anonymous said...

Reagan Stevens was listed in articles as some criminal justice liason in Hynes office. Decades from now will I still be reading about a Hynes scam?

Anonymous said...

Gentile claims he has WFP and reform parties in the 46th

Anonymous said...

Gentile would win that race in a cakewalk but it’s messed up that his old buddy de Blasio won’t give him a judgeship.

RESPONSE: THE "MORE DETAILS" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 9:45 AM"

I'M NOT SAYING THAT YOU ARE WRONG; BUT YOUR GRADE HAS TO BE "INCOMPLETE"
--- EH, YOUR TRANSCRIPT IS A MESS; WHO'S SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO FIGURE THIS OUT !!!

According to the blog, "The Patch" --- "Before joining the mayor's criminal justice office, [Reagan Stevens] spent 15 years implementing crime prevention, adolescent diversion programs and incarceration alternatives at the Kings County District Attorney's office...." (See "New York City Criminal Justice Worker Arrested On Gun Charges" by Daniel Hampton, 4/8/18, The Patch/ Police & Fire [https://patch.com/new-york/queens/new-york-city-criminal-justice-worker-arrested-gun-charges]).

That means that former DA Hynes brought her in on his watch, while he had lots of cases pending before Reagan's step-father, then Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Salvatore Modica.

What's really neat is how that bit of courthouse corruption worked back in the Hynes days.

I'll bet Sal Modica made lots of rulings that were bad for the Brooklyn DA back in those days..... >>> NOT !!!!!

Anonymous said...

Hynes routine was to always hire the children of the Judges he had cases before. Judge Alan Marrus who was the judge on Giuca case had his son on Hynes payroll. Judge Chun does Hynes shirts.

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "TEMPEST IN THE MEDIA'S TEAPOT" EDITION

THE ARREST OF REAGAN K. STEVENS ON A GUN CHARGE CERTAINLY SHOWED THAT AT LEAST ON ITS SHORT-TERM LEGS, THIS WAS A QUICK AND DIRTY >>> NATIONAL <<< NEWS STORY

LOOKING AT SEVERAL OF THESE OTHER STORIES REVEALED MORE "FACTS" IN THE CASE.

In addition to almost each and every NYC local outlet, the national media was onto this as well, and many other localities picked up the wire story.

Among many others, USA Today, the Daily Caller and Breitbart News all covered the story of Reagan Stevens' arrest.

There are a few more "facts" in some of the coverage. For example, when the cops approached the car in which Reagan Stevens was sitting with the two other suspicious characters, the cops say that it reeked of marijuana. Also there is more evidence of the shots being fired in the area near where the car in which Reagan Stevens was sitting. In addition to the sound evidence on the "Shot-Spotter" computer audio system, nearby CCTV shows visual evidence of muzzle flashes. According to one report, at the time that police arrived, Reagan Stevens was sitting in the back seat of the car.

Also, it didn't take long for the Mayors Office to remove Reagan Stevens' bio from the web page of the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice. Thank goodness the Daily Caller put up a link to a screen-saving site that contains a 4/8/18 shot from the OCJ's "Leadership" page [www1.nyc.gov [https://www1.nyc.gov/site/criminaljustice/about/leadership.page] by archive.today webpage capture 8 Apr 2018 19:02:23 UTC].

It is interesting that, according to Reagan Steven's NYC officially published biography, "Ms. Stevens spent 15 years implementing crime prevention, adolescent diversion programs, and alternatives to incarceration at the Kings County District Attorney's office...."

HMMMM !!!!! It sure looks like Ms. Stevens worked for DA Hynes for a very long time. I wonder if she ever suggested to any of the prosecutors there that they try any alternatives to incarceration for John Giuca.

Sounds like a fire escape climber

Anonymous said...

Reagan Stevens' fire escape story is a distraction. The real Stevens-Modica scandal started at least fifteen years ago; that it is an ongoing scandal demonstrates what a corrupt system is in place in our DAs' Offices and more important in the courts. The stories surrounding Reagan Stevens and Angel DiPietro being hired by Hynes and company need a full and deep investigation by journalists and the appointment of a real anti-corruption commission.

Anonymous said...

Reagan Stevens was just doing her job of co-ordinating criminal justice with a gun in the back seat of a Nissan.

Anonymous said...

Was Deborah Stevens, Reagan Steven's mom, a an early deep Hynes' insider?
Deborah Stevens was an ADA in Queens while Hynes had his big "Howard Beach" case there. As soon as Hynes took office as DA in Brooklyn in 1990, Deborah Stevens moved from the Queens DA's Office to the Brooklyn DA's Office. Hynes promoted her to the position of Deputy District Attorney.

Anonymous said...

I saw the picture of Reagan Stevens coming out of court in a hoodie.

One thing clear is she aint related to Stella Stevens

Anonymous said...

This scandal is a a first grade cover up thats just getting started.

1- Press says "Queens Court Administrators" are scrambling to appoint a "special prosecutor" since Ms Stevens parents are Judges. The problem with that story is the only one with authority to appoint a special prosecutor is the Governor. The NYS Constitution didnt say anything about "Court Administrators" having the authority to appoint a special prosecutor.

2- Press also states Ms Stevens had an arrest last year that was sealed. Well if we have a conflict this year didnt we have one last year?

3- Stevens parents are Judges so the press reports they didnt show up for work. Sounds like a plan.

Anonymous said...

Angel Franciene DiPietro and Reagan Stevens were both hired by DA Hynes. It was known as the year of the gun.

Anonymous said...

Brooklyn should take some comfort in knowing that Queens is now a bigger pile of sludge
