Is Capano trying to play Scrooge to "Q" --- Is his "...Bah, humbug !!!" pitch at John Quaglione the real deal --- Or is it something that rates a "...Bah, humbug !!!" back at Bob ???

Capano's jibe went something like this:   "John Boy,  don't you think you owe all the taxpayers Christmas cards ???   You've been getting paid by them your whole adult life...."

Even better,  try this one:   "How can candidates like Quaglione and Brannan,  who can't solve people's real-life problems while working for elected officials,  like Golden  and Gentile,  be expected to do any better as elected officials themselves ???"

John Quaglione seems to have gotten slimed pretty good by Bob Capano at the most recent debate held at Xaverian High School.   As of the time of my writing this post,  nobody has mentioned to me how Mr. Quaglione responded to Capano's provocation,  if at all.

BUT,  IF THE SHOE FITS.....

Basically, when it comes to work experience,  John Quaglione's begins and ends with Marty Golden.....

Does Quaglione really believe that's enough of a qualification to get elected  ---  does anybody ???

Just askin'.....

Nicoles race is going as well as can be expected which should benefit Q

Gale you continue to block any serious dialogue of the pressing issues of the day.
Should Bo Bergdahl get life?
Is the Dow overheated, and, nothing about Harvey Weinstein. Nothing.
We have all heard who said no to Harvey but what about the ones who said yes?

RESPONSE: THE "PERFECT RESPONSE MOMENT --- AND --- THE PERFECT RESPONSE SONG" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 12:48 AM"

THANK YOU, SO MUCH ! ! !

"All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere

Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
Find it hard to tell you,
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very, very
Mad world, mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy birthday, happy birthday
And I feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen

Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me, what's my lesson?
Look right through me, look right through me

And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
Find it hard to tell you,
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very, very
Mad world
Mad world
Mad world
Mad world..... "

UPDATE: CAPANO KEEPS PRESSING THE ATTACKS ON JOHN QUAGLIONE AT DEBATES

CAPANO COULDN'T BEAT ON QUAGLIONE ANY MORE IF CAPANO WERE A STICK AND QUAGLIONE WERE A PINATA

AS ONE OF LOSERS OF THE GOP CITY COUNCIL PRIMARY, BOB CAPANO ACCUSES THE WINNER, JOHN QUAGLIONE, OF NOW TRYING TO HIDE THE FACT THAT HE IS THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE COMING OUT OF THAT PRIMARY.....

In a nifty bit of political Jiu Jitsu, Reform Party Candidate Bob Capano is now accusing his Republican Party opponent, John Quaglione, of covering up his Republicanism. The reason that might sound a little strange is that during the not-so-distant GOP primary campaign, Bob accused Quaglione of >>> NOT BEING A REAL REPUBLICAN <<< .....

Actually, the two charges are not inconsistent at all. Arguably, they are opposite sides of the same two-tails coin. John Quaglione might not be a real Republican, AND also be hiding the fact that he is formally an enrolled Republican and the current Republican nominee for City Council.

It's very sad that is how Bob Capano is going to be remembered in the last act of his political career.

Anonymous said...

I think we are up to about 4 times people have counted Capano out of the Bay Ridge political scene now. hahahaha

Anonymous said...

The dingbat who thinks bob is taking votes from Justin is wrong wrong wrong.

Bob switched parties for a reason. The GOP is dead and Bob aint sticking around for the services.

Anonymous said...

The Brooklyn GOP died when Chairman Eaton left and Ghorra starting taking marching orders from the Conservative Party,

Anonymous said...

To 7:25. We are at three elections where Bob Capano has been resoundingly trounced and we are about to get to the fourth. He's been counted out because he keeps losing.

Anonymous said...

Hey 11:42 wake up and smell the bullshit. The Brooklyn GOP has been taking marching orders from the conservative party for over 40 years.

Gerry and Liam have been coming after Branna hard. I know something is going on in the back rooms. Gerry was tweeting from his hospital bed. They must know they are in trouble. Capano running on the third line wasn't part of the script

RESPONSE: THE " 'PU' --- 'TU' --- 'PoTT' " EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 5:50 PM" AND A FEW OF THE "ANONYMOUS SAID(S)..." BEFORE THAT

EVERYBODY (OR AT LEAST MOST OF YOU GUYS) OBVIOUSLY MISSED THE POINT OF MY SONG SELECTION EARLIER IN THIS COMMENTS THREAD --- ESPECIALLY NOW THAT I SEE SOME COMMENTERS REFERRING TO "... PART OF THE SCRIPT" WHEN IT COMES TO OUR 2017 LOCAL ELECTION FOR CITY COUNCIL IN BAY RIDGE, DYKER HEIGHTS, BATH BEACH AND PIECES OF SOME OTHER NEIGHBORHOODS

LOCAL POLITICS AT THIS END OF BROOKLYN HAS THE REAL ODOR OF "DONNIE BRASCO" ON IT; HOWEVER, MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT --- THE SAME LOCAL POLITICS IS A LOT CLOSER TO "DONNIE DARKO" THAN "DONNIE BRASCO"

In 2017, our local politics is part and parcel of the convoluted tale of three unrelated "New Yorkers": Donald Trump, Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasio..... And if that doesn't demonstrate to you that we a just talking about one especially chaotic corner of a completely chaotic universe, then I don't know what will.

I'd be glad to completely explain all the goings on of this race between Bob Capano, Justin Brannan and John Quaglione, but only if somebody can definitively tell me whether we are in a "PU" -- primary universe; or a "TU" -- tangent universe; and whether, based on "PoTT" -- the "Philosophy of Time Travel," a "TU" is collapsing, possibly causing the "PU" to collapse with it.

OR TO PUT IT MORE SIMPLY, "... IT'S A VERY MAD WORLD...."

PS: THE "MEDICINAL MARIJUANA" EDITION

I FOUND THAT SOME IRISH WHISKEY HELPED ME TO UNDERSTAND THESE THINGS A LITTLE BETTER; AND I WAS WONDERING IF SOME OF MY LATE WIFE'S MEDICINAL MARIJUANA MIGHT GIVE ME EVEN MORE INSIGHT INTO MY "DONNIE DARKO" VIEWS ON THE 2017 ELECTIONS LOCALLY.....

Try out the mary jane and let us know how it goes.

Whats going on is the reform party has put together a coalition of democrat and republican rejects that could lead to it pushing aside the conservative party. The WFP has already been knocked out of the box.

Capano may be the visionary that has Mike Long rattled. Long has been around enough to know pigs get fed but hogs get slaughtered.

Anonymous said...

Capano will be the man remembered for exposing the deal making and control of the Conservative Party over the Brooklyn GOP for far too long, and replacing them with the Reform Party in Brooklyn as a dominant party

Anonymous said...

Capano IS a visionary AND a survivor and why Kassar, Liam and John Q are all running scared like chickens without heads right about now

Anonymous said...

Capano helping elect Brannan to City Council fits in nicely with Kassar Golden plans.

Anonymous said...

YES- KASSAR & GOLDEN ARE WORKING CLOSELY WITH CAPANO ON THIS REFORM RACE INDEED

Anonymous said...

"...@(*$^#%&(*$(>(<?&**$*(%E&..." makes more sense than the last two comments above.

Anonymous said...

Wow...a lot of stuff here....

Lets recap:

Capano is sticking it to them all and is a man of integrity. He made a deal with Sliwa and is sticking with it, no matter what everyone else says.

Kassar is using Nicole, who is too immature to even know it, to build the Cons Party to be stronger than the mere shell of a Party the Brooklyn GOP has become under Puppet-toupe man.

Golden is just getting older and wrinklier and redder in the face every day. I guess going back to the "sauce" (alcohol that is) isnt working out too well for the old geezer.

Quaglione, the worst of all the candidates will lose miserably to Justin and will blame every vote on Capano, while Golden and Kassar secretly cheer on Justin since Golden doesnt want any electeds in Brooklyn, and Kassar is still upset his pretty boy Liam lost miserably in the primary

There you have it. The sad state of affairs we are in Brooklyn.....

Good weekend all.

122pm hit it right

Anonymous said...

Yes he did....sadly it is all so true.

These guys, and you know who I am talking about, are all career politicians and never had real jobs in the private sector. Always sucking on the public _ _ _.

And now someone has the balls to put them in their place, and they dont like it. They fear they will not have all the power, will not be able to employ all their cronies, and fear maybe there will be investigations.

Investigations into the Bruno candidacy for City Council for example.

They should all be handuffed, printed and jailed.

Scum....

Some good points in various posts. Bob is pathetic, he will be remembered as someone who kept running and losing in landslides and probably the person who helped Justin Brannan win the election. That will be his legacy and then he will stop pretending that he still lives or ever really lived in Brooklyn since he moved away many years ago. Golden and Kassar are happy for Q to lose as they want to be the only game in town for anyone not willing to deal with extreme progressives. Cons have their patronage from Golden and Donovan and that's good enough for them. Their myth of political muscle unravels by the day especially after Liam got clobbered in the primary and they went all out for him. Kassar is using Nicole who obeys his every whim in order to enrich his crony pals inside and outside the campaign.

Now that a few people have chummed the waters a little with some juicy tidbits, let's throw out some heavy gauged hooks and multi-fluked jig lures with real heavy duty wound-steel leads in with some smelly buckets of real blood-n-guts shark bait, and see what we catch.

Anonymous said...

News flash to you self-absorbed Republican freaks, Justin doesn't need any deals or other help to get elected to the New York City Council at this stage. His only competition was Father Al-Yateem in the primary, now he has no competition worth worrying about.

Anonymous said...

ok so justin is going to win anyway. whats wrong with Bob taking credit for that?

Anonymous said...

Capano will only be remembered by Capano.

Anonymous said...

The Lahota, Hynes ticket dragged Q down last time. Nicole is taking off and that spells victory for Q.

Anonymous said...

What's wrong with Capano's candidacy is that it gives Q (and Golden) an excuse for Q's landslide defeat. If Bob had kept his word after losing the Primary, and been nothing but a name on the ballot, Q would have no excuses for his embarrassing defeat in November. Capano has given him an out.

Anonymous said...

Even if Bob was just a name on the ballot, Q and Co. would still blame him for not actively campaigning for him..
They will blame Liam also, after all rather than helping Q he is out managing Eric Ulrich'a campaign in Queens..we haven't read about that yet

Anonymous said...

Yup Qualgione and Golden will without a doubt blame Capano for Quaglione's second landslide loss in 4 years but I would not be surprised if Quaglione runs for a !third! time in 2021. It is not a coincidence there is no Republican bench in Bay Ridge because it's just as Golden designed it so nobody is breathing down his neck. Everyone I speak to agrees that Golden would rather squabble with Brannan as the council rep than share the spotlight with his bumbling tenderfoot apprentice

Anonymous said...

Quaglione is no tenderfoot. He's more like a millennial child who won't leave the extra bed in Momma Golden's basement.

Galewyn Massey said...

Momma Golden looks like she's been at the cooking sherry; and she probably has a bottle of vodka hidden under the sink for her morning constitutional.

Anonymous said...

The Reform party has overtaken the GOP, WFP, and the conservative party. In short, its the only other party in town.

Anonymous said...

Golden's team will blame Quaglione's landslide loss on Capano and will never learn their lesson and on and on it goes

Anonymous said...

I hear Capano and Sliwa spoke to federal prosecutors Friday about the Conservative Party orchestrating the Bruno place-holder "deal"

Anonymous said...

Quaglione will win. And this blog and all it’s geniuses will be wrong again and keep their consistent record.

Anonymous said...

I here Capano is still taking his Star tax credit for his home on Staten Island and Quaglione is gong to report him. It’s going to get interesting

Anonymous said...

Yeah star credit. That really matters. Q will lose to Justin 2 to 1

Anonymous said...

Justin is on the ropes. Catholic Church organizing against his anti Catholic rhetoric. And Malliotakis going to get 65 percent in this district. An$ watch Quaglione is ndirsements pile up.

Anonymous said...

The catholic church is organizing for quaglione? gonna take more than that

Anonymous said...

Can we talk about the fact that rumpled mutant Nick Chamberas is Nicole Malliotakis's political director? I haven't stopped laughing since I learned this news last week. Nicole doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell and neither does John Q. I think Capano will surprise everyone on election night.

Anonymous said...

Let's talk about the fact that people who are no longer relevant in Brooklyn politics are scared stiff that John Q might pull this off because people hate Justin Brannan. Capano will surprise everyone on election night if he and his has/been never/were crew cross the bridge from Staten Island to address the five people who vote for Bob.

Anonymous said...

If everyone hates Justin how come he crushed all his primary opponents? Rev Khaders "ground war" makes the bay of pigs look like a military victory. Carroll got 3%

Anonymous said...

An Arab Priest with hardly any political background almost beat Brannan in his own Primary. Pastor Khader is a good man but this Primary was Brannan's to lose after the vicious move against Josephine that he pulled. Yes Justin, Republicans also know. Enjoy the blog.
