Linda Sarsour goes to internet and social media against proposals by leading Republican Presidential Candidates in the wake of terrorist slaughter by Islamists in Brussels

Sarsour attacks policing proposal by Ted Cruz, which was endorsed by Donald Trump —   among other reasons, because she says it would lead to patrols of armed vigilantes in the streets of Bay Ridge

Where do you stand on re-instituting the NYPD program of surveillance with operatives inside Mosques, “Cultural Centers” and student groups now that there’s a clear and present danger of Islamist terrorists worldwide ???

Yesterday, local Bay Ridge Islamist activist, Linda Sarsour, who is also active in Democrat politics elsewhere in Brooklyn and the rest of New York City, made news in the national media by attacking Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.....

Well, sort of.....

Sarsour was quoteded deep inside an article in the conservative Republican internet news journal, the “Daily Caller.”   According to an article in the DC by Josh Bennett,  “....  Executive director of the Arab American Association of New York Linda Sarsour told The Associated Press she is scared of armed vigilantes ‘who are emboldened by the commentary from people like Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.’...  ‘What’s scaring me more is the kind of potential fueling of these vigilantes and people who might want to take up arms and go patrol Muslim neighborhoods,’ she said....”

THE BACKGROUND

The devastating atrocities in Brussels prompted GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz to recommend a surveillance program formerly embraced by the New York Police Department for use in Muslim communities across the USA. Speaking Tuesday in New York, Cruz praised the city's former program of conducting surveillance in Muslim neighborhoods. He called for its reinstatement and said it could be a model for police departments nationwide.

After the attacks on the World trade Center on 9/11/01, the NYPD began developing Muslim informants to infiltrate the local Muslim community and make any observations indicating radical activities or Islamic radicalism generally. As 9/11 slipped into the past, there were a litany of lawsuits and accusations of unfair racial profiling the NYPD program was shut down.

In his recommendation that the program be re-instituted, Ted Cruz said that  “New Yorkers want a safe and secure America.... New Yorkers saw firsthand the tragic consequences of radical Islamic terrorism.”

Donald Trump backed Cruz’s proposal 100 percent in an interview that he gave to CNN on Tuesday.

Newsflash @tedcruz: Muslim communities in the US are already under unwarranted surveillance. It doesn't work & it's unconstitutional.

Is this news and is it necessary. Sarsour said what you would expect her to say as a radical Islamic supporter of jihad to establish universal Muslim rule.

All you are doing is spreading her propaganda to keep the NYPD from doing what it needs to do to protect all of us from the terrorists. How is what she is saying any different than our Islamic named and Islamic praising "president" Barack Hussein Obama.

UPDATE: THE “IT’S NOT ABOUT ‘PATROLLING’ MUSLIM NEIGHBORHOODS” EDITION

DISAGREEING WITH TED CRUZ, FORMER NYPD COMMISSIONER BERNARD KERIK ADVOCATES “CRIMINAL PROFILING” OF CERTAIN TERRORISTS “USING THE MUSLIM FAITH...”

Former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik during an interview with Rich Zeoli on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT [Philadelphia], said Cruz was off base and lacked a clear understanding of the issue. According to Kerik, “Police already patrol every neighborhood, not just Muslim neighborhoods. They patrol every neighborhood. I think that’s where Ted Cruz fell off the chart. This isn’t about going out and re-instituting policing in Muslim neighborhoods. Forget who is in the neighborhood. I think what he should’ve focused more on is how we’re going to investigate, how we’re going to conduct surveillance, how we’re going to criminal profile, or terrorist profile groups that are responsible for criminal conducts, terrorism, in this country. How do you do that? It’s not patrolling Muslim neighborhoods. That’s not going to happen. The police departments in New York City and every city in this country, they patrol every neighborhood equally....” (See “Bernard Kerik: Ted Cruz wrong about policing Muslim neighborhoods” by Rich Zeoli, 3/23/16, CBS News/ Philadelphia/ local [http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2016/03/23/bernard-kerik-cruz-wrong-policing-muslim-neighborhoods/]).

The former NYPD Commissioner went on to say this: “We’re looking for terrorists. Unfortunately, this group of terrorists is using the Muslim faith as their excuse to go out and mass murder people. That’s the issue. How we do that, where we do that, when we do that, that’s the real issue. I don’t think Senator Cruz thought of that before he opened his mouth and started talking....”

Kerik also vigorously defending the concept of profiling and insisted it has nothing to do with race, as follows: “Investigative, surveillance, profiling. This isn’t about racial profiling. This is about criminal profiling. It’s a criminal profile. The people you’re looking for, what they do, who they are, where they go, how they respond, how they act, what kind of phones they have. That’s all criminal profiling. It falls within the investigative tools of law enforcement…Now because you have the Muslim religion involved and, basically, these radical people, they have hijacked the Koran…because you want to investigate and surveil them, profile them. Now it’s racial profiling.”

Cruz said what he wanted to say. Sarsour said what she wanted to say. That's why we all love America, right?
