Mayor Ted Wheeler wheeled out a bunch of Democrat Party talking points against President Trump before he gave the first of very few details about last night's killing of an apparent Trump supporter in Portland, Oregon
Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell spoke at the same press conference on Sunday afternoon. He said police are continuing to seek information as they investigate the shooting of a man in a downtown area not far from where competing demonstrations, one a pro-Trump car caravan and another a counter-protest by various opposing groups --- he would not be any more detailed than that.....
Once Red Ted Wheeler was off of his Democrat talking points, he betrayed his more radical sentimentality strongly supporting the long-term street demonstrators in Portland --- he described those hooligans and brigands as --- all those in this generation who have been called upon to stand up and speak out against the systemic injustice in this country
The entire tenor of the Portland officials' presentations and answers to questions indicates that there is an aggressive, strong and continuing anti-Trump bias at the local level in Portland..... That bias obviously extended to pro-Trump demonstrators from a time before their caravan arrived at Portland, extending through the killing on one of their number by local left wing storm troopers, that continues after the killing. Implicit in all of the remarks of the mayor and the police chief was a presumption and policy determination that local left wing demonstrators had a supervening right to protest. Any other demonstrators were immediately cast in a suspect class of counter-demonstrators, whose rights were immediately deemed to be subsidiary to Portland's interest in protecting its local left street players.
It has been reported that, the killing of the pro-Trump supporter occurred when a group of left wing "demonstrators" block the exit of the pro-Trump caravan from the downtown area. A mele soon erupted during which the Trump supporter was shot and killed.
The Portland Police Chief refused to confirm any detail connected to the killing of the man the night before..... He said that he did not know exactly what groups might have been involved in the street confrontation where the victim was killed --- he even said that it might have been an incident of one-on-one violence.

Capano doesnt need Kassar support. Conservatives are irrelevant and Capano has gained wide spread support within GOP locally for being only one among Liam and Q to stand up to Kassar and Conservatives. A fusion Capano candidacy for Council with Cats or Sliwa on top of the ticket is being worked on with an independent party.
That Bob is a legend in his own mind. After all the vote he scored in 2017 on reform line was a record breaker.
Fran & Kassar will determine who the GOP runs for council. Bob is irrelevant. Hes proven that.
Capano just ran on the reform line as fulfilling his word to stay on the line..just as Q and Liam said they would also do if they didnt win the GOP primary. After he lost the primary Bob did not raise any money or spend money or campaign so harping on his vote total on the line is just silly to many..

The "Oregonian" reported yesterday that the man under investigation for Saturday’s fatal shooting of a pro-police/pro-Trump protester is a supporter of Black Lives Matter and Antifa who had been arrested on weapons charges and released earlier this year, and his name was given as Michael Forest Reinoehl.
According to the report in the Oregonian:
Michael Forest Reinoehl is a 48-year-old man who had been accused of carrying a loaded gun at an earlier downtown Portland protest; and he is under now investigation in the fatal shooting Saturday night of a Trump supporter after a pro-Trump rally in Portland;
Michael Forest Reinoehl calls himself an anti-fascist;
Michael Forest Reinoehl has posted videos and photos of demonstrations he attended since late June, accompanied by the hashtags #blacklivesmatter, #anewnation and #breonnataylor;
Reinoehl’s posts indicated that he attended many protests in Portland since the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in late June;
At one of the demonstrations, Reinoehl was cited at 2:10 a.m. on July 5th, with allegations that Reinoehl possessed a loaded gun in a public place, resisting arrest and interfering with the police;
Reinoehl was given a date to appear in court later that month, but the allegations were dropped on July 30th with “no complaint” from the local prosecutor according to court records (however, the court papers didn't indicate why prosecutors decided not to pursue the accusations; and
Reinoehl spent no time behind bars for any of those charges.
Local police wouldn't confirm that Michael Forest Reinoehl is a suspect. However, local police investigators have indicated that they are pursuing leads connected to an investigation of a suspect in connection to the downtown shooting homicide Saturday night.
Meanwhile nationally respected P.R. professional John Quaglione is rushing out press releases about Bay Catholic Academy School meeting all CDC safety guidelines except none of the parents believe him.
We can't have Councilman or Deputy Mayor Capano fast enough!!
