The most recent mention of Bob Capano and any run for the NYC Council in any widely read or viewed media is his failed attempt to get on the GOP line in 2017, mostly running against John Quaglione and Liam McCabe in that years GOP Primary >>> where Capano finished a distant third.....
There was scant mention of Bob's abominable third party run during the General Election in that same year of 2017 --- a campaign aimed only at hurting Republican John Quaglione's chances against Democrat Justin Brannan --- what little there might have been, mostly was in the reporting of Bob Capano's later ostentatious abandonment of the GOP to take up arms against State Senator Marty Golden in 2018 as a third party chairman of a hijacked party that soon after Marty's defeat went defunct --- while Bob Capano went onto Andrew Gounardes' transition team
Now almost forgotten, but then well reported upon, was Capano's 2009 City Council race >>> it was a humiliating almost two-to-one loss to Vincent J. Gentile.....
In my prior featured article, I referred to looking at things in the Brooklyn GOP as akin to watching paint dry..... For his part in it, I described Bob Capano and his campaign as more like a slap-dash coat of "White Wash" --- with an obvious emphasis on the "White..." part.
If the GOP actually entertains Beer Can Bobby Capano's recent foray, it will be very much like trying to peddle "old wine in new wineskins" by an ignorant of history Brooklyn GOP Chairman, who would be hoping against hope to dupe an unsuspecting public in November.....
When it comes to form, there is an awful lot of racing data about Bob Capano --- he is consistent, when it comes to the City Council, Bob runs badly..... And his trend line over the last sixteen years is that he has gone from bad to worse.

Gale I do think you are right. Bob Capano is the first man to ever run for the same city council seat and lose 4 times. Capano's pathetic career will be taught in Political science classes in universities for years to come
Too bad that Dale Carnegie already wrote the book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People"; otherwise Bob Capano could have done his own "how to" on the subject, and then be able to add "author" to his ever growing list of accomplishments.
