TRIUMPH OF THE WILL --- Air Force One's landing in Daytona is a prelude to a majestic moment inside the stands of NASCAR's greatest showplace, The Daytona Speedway

One of the reasons Trump gets America is that Trump gets NASCAR.....

Daytona is America for the next thousand years  ---  If you don't think so, then watch "Ford v Ferrari" very closely  ---  It's Daytona first,  then Le Mans.....

Never forget, Daytona is at the beginning of the I-4 corridor  (the furthest to the Northeast, but the deepest South and the westest West) ---  but it is so much more than that  ---  it's an epi-phenomenon of the history of the American nation as the dominant nation on earth  ---  a nation that can be the best at anything it wants to be (btw, Cape Canaveral is just down the coast, less than an hour away by car)

Now, let me hear an "AMEN !" or at least a couple of "BIJINGOS !!!"

Galewyn Massey knows all this in his bones, because he lives in Ormond Beach, the real "Birthplace of Speed" and the immediate predecessor to Daytona's racing scene  ---  the original races and record high speed test runs were done on that beach near the border between Ormond and Daytona  ---  and right down the block from Galewyn Massey's house, the place from which GM watched one of the last launches of the Space Shuttle standing on his front porch..

Before the out west Bonneville Salt Flats became dominant, people were pushing the records and the ground speed envelope on Ormond Beach. Then the scene shifted a little south of Daytona to Ponce's Inlet, which is on the southernmost tip of the Ormond and Daytona Beaches. The original "measured mile" ran along the beach south from Granada, near Rockefeller's mansion in Ormond Beach to about where the Ormond-Daytona city line crosses the beach.

Ormond Beach is the birthplace of speed? I used to get my speed in Washington Square Park.

Nicole supports sanctuary city status for NY. Why isn't conservative party backing Caldarera?

Anyone remember when they tried to build a NASCAR track on Staten Island and instead they gave a bunch of no shows to the Gambinos? Good times.

WOW! A presidential flyover, then trooping the colors and Hail to the Chief, then "Gentlemen, start your engines," then "grand Marshall Trump" took a full lap in "The Beast" around the oval leading the pace lap for the field of top Nascar drivers at the start of the Great American Race, The Daytona 500 --- all of it on national TV.

And to be sure all the Demobots and their lap dogs in the MSM howled and shrieked their protests. That was the icing on the cake.

A great day for President Trump and an even greater day for the U.S.A. and U.S. triumphalism.

RESPONSE: THE " 'DIESEL..' ! WHAT 'DIESEL...' MIGHT THAT BE ?" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 12:17 PM"

MINIMALLY, THE REFERENT OF YOUR COMMENT IS VAGUE TO A FAULT; MAXIMALLY, IT MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER --- SO ! --- YOU TELL ME, WTF IS IT SUPPOSED TO MEAN.....

The race cars at Daytona use something called "Green E15" it's 15 percent corn-based ethanol mixed with the highest test Sunoco gasoline --- it burns much cleaner and with more energy that diesel fuel; Air Force One uses hybrid bio-fuel from cooking oil in unique hybrid engines that actually have an electro-motive component even at high revolutions --- no diesel fuel there; the President's heavy limo, "The Beast," does operate on diesel fuel, because it has a relatively lower risk of explosive ignition.

So, with all of the internal combustion going on at Daytona yesterday, only a very little of it would have smelled like diesel.

Personally, I'd much rather smell Vin Diesel after he's gone through his paces; it's a rugged manly smell.

Gale you are here there everywhere.
In Brooklyn and Staten Island and now we find out you are camped out with the Rockefellers of Ormond Beach.

RESPONSE: THE "GOSH YOU MAKE ME SOUND SO CONNECTED" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 6:27 PM"

THE ROCKEFELLER MANSION HAS BEEN A MUSEUM IN ORMOND BEACH FOR A VERY LONG TIME..... SO, NO CAMPING OUT THERE

I had dinner with a pretty significant Rockefeller once, and a friend and relatively new neighbor was a summer house neighbor of the very same Rockefeller for many years.....

The Ormond beach estates of Gale and John D Rockefeller tell us something about Ormond Beach.
There were many Rockefellers but only one John D.
And John D could have vacationed anywhere in the world but he chose Ormond Beach.

RESPONSE: THE "IN THE WORDS OF ENZO FERRARI" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:29 AM"

YOU'RE RIGHT, THERE WAS ONLY ONE "JOHN D" --- APROPOS OF THAT, ONE OF THE GREAT LINES IN A MOVIE FULL OF GREAT LINES, "FORD V FERRARI," IS WHEN ENZO FERRARI TELLS LEE IACOCCA TO SAY TO HIS BOSS THAT >>> HE ISN'T HENRY FORD, HE IS HENRY FORD THE SECOND <<<

AND AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THERE'S ONLY ONE ORMOND BEACH TOO.....

I have kept my Ormand Beach place (and it costs quite a bit to do so), because it has become kind of special to me --- my wife loved it so, and it was special to her long before it became special to me.....

Professor Capano is railing about renaming a Post Office because it has a bad reputation. Seriously folks this a cry for help from Professor Capano.

I think that several local community-based Italian-American organizations were pushing for that particular location and name.

That post office is marked for Mother Cabrini now, and soon the Boulevard that honors Cristoforo Colmbo Boulevard will be joined by an Avenue honoring his greatest grandson Joseph!
