Somebody seems to have thrown a wet blanket over all of it and all of them --- and that somebody was attorney Mitchell Garabedian --- who last week called out the Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn, Nicholas DiMarzio, as a pedophile
The reports on the Pope's meeting(s) with the New York bishops indicated that he spoke to them collectively and individually
When the Pope spoke to Brooklyn Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio he must have said something..... Well, what was it ???

It's clear that the publicly expressed charges against Bishop DiMarzio where part of the atmospherics of the gathering in Rome. According to the NCR report, "During the week, while the bishops were praying at the tombs of the apostles and meeting with Vatican officials, media reports emerged concerning two of the bishops on the trip. The reports said Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio of Brooklyn was accused of sexually abusing a minor in the 1970s – a claim he strongly denied – and that Bishop Richard Malone of Buffalo would step down after an apostolic visitation of his diocese amid claims of his mishandling of abuse allegations.... Still, [Bishop of Albany Edward] Scharfenberger said, 'as the week went on, it wasn't that that wasn't there, but the focus was really on gratitude to God' and certainty that God will show them the way forward....."
So far it looks like "mum's the word" when it comes to what the Pope and DiMarzio had to talk about --- Let's see how this is handled next week in the Brooklyn-Queens Diocesan newspaper, "The Tablet."

639, WOW! If Robert Chambers sued the Archdiocese of New York under the New York State new pedophile lookback law, that would be news and a half.
Try this on for size, Robert Chambers' lawyer, Jack Litman, probably couldn't use the best defense and one closer to the truth, because a chunk of the defense cost was being paid for by McCArrick-types connected to the Archdiocese of New York. Maybe, when Chambers did the very brutal Jennifer Levin killing, he was a time bomb waiting to blow.
Everything about Chambers' lifestyle points to an extreme self-destructive and violent behavior pattern often associated with an experience of youthful sexual abuse.
A key player in the Robert Chambers case is Monsignor Thomas P. Leonard. Leonard admitted associating with Chambers when he was a young student, but recalled no details about their earlier interaction. Nonetheless, Monsignor Leonard helped arrange for Chambers' bail under condition that the monsignor supervise Chambers until his trial.
Monsignor Thomas P. Leonard is also a key player in the matter of the defrocked and convicted serial sex offender Edward A. Pipala. Although Monsignor Leonard could have stopped the then "Father" Pipala in his tracks after an early reported and then admitted sexual incident, Leonard stood by while Pipala was advanced in his career in the New York Archdiocese, while at the same time becoming one of the biggest serial pedophiles in the history of the New York Archdiocese.
In October 1986 when the New York Times did an article about Cardinal O'Connor's concern that Archbishop McCarrick's and Monsignor Leonard's support of Chambers might hurt Catholic-Jewish relations, or that Catholics might be seen as looking after their own, DiMarzio was incardated to Archbishop McCarrick and listed as an "Associate Pastor in Residence at Mount Carmel Church in Jersey City"; however, at that time, DiMarzio also had a long-term assignment in Washington, DC for the U.S. Catholic Conference.
It is not recorded whether DiMarzio advised or consulted in any way with Archbishop McCarrick concerning any aspect of the Chambers-Levin case or McCarrick's long-term relationship with Robert Chambers.

Just like the leftists on college campuses, the Diocese of Brooklyn's media arm, the DeSales Media Group, is trying a trick of deconstruction to say something that just isn't even a little bit true. In other words, the Diocese of Brooklyn is lying to the Catholics in Brooklyn and Queens on behalf of Bishop DiMarzio when it says that he has refuted anything, least of all any charges from fifty years ago.
Similarly, the quote from some cement headed buffoon, named Deacon Phil Franco, is equally part of a "Big Lie" being foisted on the faithful for the benefit of DiMarzio, and diMarzio alone --- "Deacon Franco said false allegations could be damaging to a man [DiMarzio] who has devoted so much of his ministry to fighting sex abuse.... 'It’s extremely unfair to the priests, who in these cases of false accusations are innocent; and it’s unfair to those who are legitimate victims,' he explained...."
On the other hand true allegations of the very same matter will be the end of DiMarzio’s almost lifelong hypocrisy as a priest and bishop, and at least a partial vindication for all legitimate victims.

Littman got Chamber a deal 5 to 15 years. Chambers did all 15 years.
Six months after he got out he got nailed in a drug case and got 19 years. He gets out in 5 years.
