MORE ABOUT: Disbarments, suspensions, and the kinds of people that are judges in the State of New York

Those that think Rudy Giuliani is down for the count ought to look at the ongoing history of the Brooklyn political activist named John Kennedy O'Hara

Those of you who might think that an "election case", or two, or three, or even possible criminal charges emerging from that will "permanently" get Rudy Giuliani "Disbarred"  ---  because a few NYS Judges made some kind of ersatz decision  >>>  will  need to read the latest in the ongoing saga of JOHN KENNEDY O'HARA   [A >>> FORMERLY DISBARRED ATTORNEY <<< WHO IS COMING BACK WITH A VENGEANCE AGAINST MANY THAT WERE CULPABLE IN HIS FALSE AND WRONGFUL PROSECUTION..... ]

OVER THE YEARS TOO MANY NYS JUDGES WERE INVOLVED IN THE O'HARA CASE(S) TO KEEP COUNT ---  AND THEY HANDED DOWN MANY ADVERSE DECISIONS AGAINST THE THEN-YOUNG MAN,  who was the" ... BROOKLYN ACTIVIST IN THE1990[S]..." referred to in a recent "Albany Times-Union" article

A FEW DAYS AGO, THERE WAS A FRONT PAGE ARTICLE IN THE "ALBANY TIMES-UNION" BY WENDY LIBERATORE WHEREIN   >>> AN UPSTATE JUDGE IS ACCUSED OF GIVING AN "... 'INCOMPLETE OR INCORRECT INTERPRETATION OF EVIDENCE' [IN A] CASE THAT INVOLVED A BOARD OF ELECTIONS' PROSECUTION OF A BROOKLYN ACTIVIST IN THE 1990[S]..."   (See "Brooklyn DA: Saratoga Judge Wait offered 'incomplete or incorrect interpretation of evidence' ---  Case involves Board of Elections' prosecution of Brooklyn activist in 1990s"  by Wendy Liberatore,  6/26/2021,  Albany Times-Union/ News
[https://www.timesunion.com/news/article/Brooklyn-DA-Saratoga-Judge-Wait-offered-16274474.php])

--- ALL THAT QUOTED MATERIAL WAS PART OF THE BASIS OF MS. LIBERATORE'S ARTICLE  ---  AND IT IS FROM AN INTERNAL REPORT FROM THE BROOKLYN DA'S OFFICE ON THE O'HARA CASE[S], WHICH DA'S OFFICE HAD PROSECUTED MR. O'HARA AFTER A REFERRAL FROM THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS, IN WHICH AN ALBANY-AREA SPECIAL COUNSEL TO THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS, NAMED "WAIT," HAD A VERY HEAVY HAND INDEED ---.

BUT JUDGE WAIT ISN'T THE ONLY VILLAIN IN THE PIECE  ---  HE IS ONE OF MANY

Needless to say, the "Albany Times-Union" article focused on an Albany-based player named Jeffrey Wait, who is now an Albany-area judge. My sources indicated that some NYC dailies are looking closely into this report by the Office of the Kings County District Attorney, and they are focusing on several local players in Brooklyn.  Some had once been in the Brooklyn DA's Office of Charles Hynes; while others were active in county-wide Democrat machine politics in the 1990s in the courts downtown, nearby on Court Street , and in Windsor Terrace, Kensington, Park Slope, and Sunset Park. Those pols not only worked directly with the Board of Elections and the prosecutors, which is clearly reflected in the Brooklyn DA's report; their is plenty of stuff that shows they also communicated directly with many of the judges that were handling the O'Hara case[s] at their various stages.

After all these years, this latest coverage of the currently pending O'Hara case [this time brought by him for damages to his person and to his career] is suddenly growing faster than "Topsy".....

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "LOCAL DEMS IN BROOKLYN & BAY RIDGE" EDITION

I HAVE IT ON GOOD AUTHORITY THAT COUNCILMAN JUSTIN BRANNAN HAS BEEN A KEEN OBSERVER OF THE O'HARA SAGA --- THIS IS NOT ALL THAT SURPRISING --- ESPECIALLY SINCE THE NAME "CARROLL" WAS MENTIONED IN THE BROOKLYN DA'S REPORT AND COUNCILMAN JB HAS MIXED FEELINGS WHENEVER HE SEES OR HEARS THAT NAME

ANOTHER VERY INTERESTING NAME BRIEFLY MENTIONED IN THE BROOKLYN DA'S REPORT ON THE O'HARA CASE(S) [MENTIONED ABOVE IN THE MAIN TEXT] BELONGS TO "JEFF FELDMAN" --- WHOSE CONNECTION TO ALL THINGS O'HARA AND ALL THINGS AT THE BROOKLYN COURTHOUSE GOES BACK A VERY LONG WAY --- HOWEVER, IT'S VERY ODD TO SEE JEFF'S NAME POP UP IN >>> THIS <<< REPORT ON THE BEHIND-THE-SCENES GOINGS-ON DURING THE O'HARA PROSECUTION

There are so many details and names involved in all of this stuff about O'Hara, that several journalists and authors have been questioning one of this blog's principal contributors about some of it for quite a while. The interest has suddenly become so intense, that an author with a significant background in Brooklyn Organization Democrat politics at the highest levels has booked a trip into the Daytona Beach area and scheduled an interview with our main guy.

Nothing I read so far has anything to do with Capano.

830, unless little Bobby Baby sidles up to Eric Adams real fast, 2021 will be his last hooorah; but don't be surprised if the man with the little hands doesn't do exactly that; he's been tight with Democrats before, and Bob's longtime work with groceries has taught him all about cleanups and checkouts.

RESPONSE: THE "MAKE FUN, IF YOU WILL" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 11:07 AM"

TO OUR KNOWLEDGE, JOHN GRISHAM IS A NOVELIST >>> BASED ON WHAT WE'VE BEEN TOLD, OUR INTERESTED AUTHOR IS WRITING A NON-FICTION HISTORY OF THE BROOKLYN DEMOCRAT PARTY IN THE ERA OF CLARENCE NORMAN AND VITO LOPEZ >>> ONE OF HIS MAIN AREAS OF INTEREST IS HOW THE POLITICS OF CHARLES HYNES INFLUENCED THE REST OF BROOKLYN POLITICS [HE HAS A SUB-THEORY THAT ALL THE O'HARA "SMALL-BALL, NO MONEY" STUFF CAUSED HYNES TO TAKE HIS EYE OFF THE BALL FOR ALL OF THE NORMAN-LOPEZ-FELDMAN] "BIG-BALL, BIG MONEY" STUFF

Wasn't there a brief "Feldman" perp-walk in the middle of all the Clarence Norman stuff; and didn't the "Feldman" stuff get taken care of quickly and quietly (and wasn't there a tempest in a tea cup over legal fees incurred by Hynes, Feldman and others in one of the later "O'Hara" election cases while O'Hara was still "disbarred," but getting independent judges elected in Brooklyn) ???

A QUICK FURTHER RESPONSE ON A SMALL BUT SOMEWHAT RELATED MATTER: THE "F. LEE BAILEY" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 11:04 AM"

NOT JUST "GONE" [HE DIED EARLIER THIS MONTH OF JUNE 2021] --- "DISBARRED" [SINCE 2001 IN FLORIDA, AND 2003 IN MASSACHUSETTS]

F. LEE BAILEY REMAINS ONE OF THE MOST NOTABLE LAWYERS OF HIS DAY --- WHEN THREATENED WITH DISBARMENT OR WAIVER OF A QUESTIONABLE FEE HELD IN HIS ESCROW ACCOUNT, BAILEY WAS UNWAIVERING --- YOU GO AHEAD AND DISBAR ME, I'LL KEEP THE MONEY.....

Disbarment was like water off a duck's back for "Flea" Bailey.

F. Lee Bailey was a drop-out from Harvard, a Naval Aviator and U.S. Marine Corps fighter pilot, and a Squadron Legal Officer, all before graduating "Number 1" in his law school class at Boston University Law School after his time in the Marines.

Bailey was no Edmond Bennet Williams, but he never said that he was. He did things his way and didn't take crap from anybody.

There is a folk song about John Kennedy O'Hara by somebody called "Papa Dish." You can hear it at: [http://www.papadish.com/html/ballad-o-hara-lyrics.html].

A few days ago, there was an opinion piece by Stephen Witt on his "politicsny" page that mentioned "generations of patronage" in the Carroll family starting with their role in the founding of CBID. Along the way, one of those patronage jobs went to John C. Carroll, who's been a prosecutor in the Brooklyn DA's office going back to the days of DA Hynes.

The John Carroll mentioned in the Brooklyn DA's report above is closely related to the Brooklyn prosecutor John C. Carroll, as well as to the current Park Slope Assemblyman "Bobby" Carroll, who's mentioned in Mr. Witt's article. Jim Brennan was the Assemblyman from Park Slope immediately prior to "Bobby" Carroll. According to the DA's report, Assemblyman James Brennan and the more senior John Carroll were said to have been instrumental in pushing for charges to be brought by the Brooklyn Prosecutor's Office under DA Hynes against their political opponent at the time, John Kennedy O'Hara.
