A bombshell November 4th "Today Show" report by NBC's News reporter Miguel Almaguer said >>> ".... Sources familiar with what unfolded within the Pelosi residence now reveal[ that] when officers responded to the high-priority call, they were seemingly unaware they’d been called to the home of the Speaker of the House.... After [police knocked and announced their arrival at the scene], the door was opened by Mr. Pelosi.... [And the] 82-year-old did not immediately declare an emergency or try to leave his home, but instead began walking several feet back into the foyer toward the [alleged] assailant and away from police....”
>>> Then. for reasons not fully or reasonably explained, NBC News pulled that report and tried to bury it really, really deep.....
Here's what we know so far. NBC has pulled a news report that had aired on that network's Friday, November 4th "Today Show" from both its "Today Show" and NBC News websites. That report had indicated House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul opened the door to their house when the police had arrived and announced themselves, then he walked away from police and “did not immediately declare an emergency” in the early morning last week when he was attacked in his home in the presence of the responding officers. NBC removed the report from the show’s website later on November 4th, stating, “The piece should not have aired because it did not meet NBC News reporting standards.”
Various NBC departments have refused several requests by other members of the media to make (a) more detailed statement(s) about the matter.

The real news is this, several senior produders at NBC News and at the NBC Today Show approved the report that briefly aired yesterday. That is because Nancy Pelosi is pretty much done-for politically no matter what the Paul Pelosi story might be.
What's now clear is that Nancy, for so long not so fresh and now not so fancy, will be going out with a bang from Republicans, who might be electing more members to Congress than they have ever had before; and with little more than a whimper from Democrats, who are pretty much fed up with her diminishing but over-disciplined rule. Her most likely successors, Hakeem Jeffries and Adam Schiff, have already put in competing chits to become MINORITY leader in the next Congress.
Pelosi does have great cans
Nancy Pelosi is the equivalent of the police commissioner of the capitol police. It explains a lot.
