If Staten Island is almost out-voting the Bronx --- Does that sound like something good for the election of Kathy Hochul and Tish James ???

Maybe, it means something else entirely  ---   Possibly, it might mean nothing at all  ---  There's even an outside chance that is the first piece of evidence of a massive "interference in our elections" by electronically altering the count by "hackers" and other operators in Russia, or China, or Iran, or Andora and San Marino

Whatever it might be,  who-duh thunk it ??? !!!

At the end of day two of early voting  ---  the totals in NYC are [by county focusing on Bronx Co. & Richmond Co.]:

Staten Island: 9,029 votes

Bronx: 9,149 votes

But Bronx has over 3 times the population - 1.5 million people, compared with Staten Island's 475 thousand population.

When it comes to Brian Fox --- things continue to be just as bad as we have thought for over two years now --- Fox remains a consistent verbally incontinent moron

Entering the last week of the campaign, why in the world would Brian Fox say something like this: 

"....  I'm asking for your vote, not because our safety and future depends on it!..."   

Why can't Brian Fox even repeat his routine repetitive lines correctly ???

Why doesn't this big fat serial screw-up bother to proof read his stuff ---  or have somebody on his "team" do it ?????

However, the overall GOP weakness in Brooklyn might be enough to make a big chunk of it crash like the "Hindenberg"  ---  even with the strong "Red Wave" effect happening elsewhere throughout a lot of the state of NY

It is so bad that GOP gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin's Brooklyn field operation is not going through the Brooklyn GOP, but instead is in the hands of Kassar and the Conservatives, and Democrat Dov Hikind leading both his Democrats and some Republicans in his areas of strength and influence  ---  which is the same exact thing that was done by the last Republican-elected Governor of NY,  George Pataki

The recriminations are already flying in all directions at the the various real and imagined "headquarters" for the "real" and "imagined" GOP candidates running in various parts of Brooklyn

For almost every one of the Republicans in Brooklyn that have been mentioned-in, commented-on, or been commented about by the "Anonymous said..." crowd in/on this independent GOP blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island  ---  there will very likely be no personal joy in Mudville come November 9th  >>>  because the Brooklyn GOP of Ted Ghorra, and even most of those opposing him, will show the whole world that the entire GOP wardrobe is nothing but different versions of the "Emperor's New Clothes".....

With only two weeks to go --- Brian Fox shows just how much he doesn't get it.....

 

When Brian Fox posts stuff like this on his campaign's social media, it shows how out of touch he and his team truly are:

This will not pick up a single non-committed vorer anywhere within the boundaries of the 26th State Senate District for Brian Fox. This would especially be true in downtown areas of the district.

Anybody that might be positively influenced by this message by Fox and/or his campaign was most likely voting for him already.

Will this be historic ??? With Biden getting mentally worse every day --- and the Biden economy and inflation at the top of three-quarters of the voters' lists of issues..... Or is it all histrionics when it comes to Brooklyn ?????

.....  Some comentators and observers are predicting the biggest Republican national landslide since before FDR and the Democrats took over in 1932  

The question begs  ---  will the Brooklyn GOP & Conservatives, and the likes of Ted Ghorra, Jerry Kassar, Fran Vella-Marrone and Marty Golden with their crop of stellar candidates like Brian Fox & Vito LaBella screw up what might be the biggest GOP wave election in over a hundred years

Biden recently said this about his student loan debt bailout: "It's passed. I got it passed by a vote or two...." --- and then he said this about guns: "My legislation says there can be no more than eight bullets in a round, okay?” (now THAT is some really deadly-scary ballistic technology).  

Biden must think that he's still a Senator;  and he is talking about this stuff like it's his legislation, not presidential executive action.   ---  That's really not the best look for a sitting president.

As for "It's the economy, stupid..."  ---  not many people are using the word, but what Biden's progran has given the country is a "stag-flation" economy  ---  with food, fuel and other necessities creeping higher all the time, and real growth at a standstill.

The first two Biden years will be compared to the worst of Harry Truman combined with the worst of Jimmy Carter with the worst of Bill Clinton and the worst of Barack Hussein Obama  >>>  all of which led to big GOP landslides in Congrssional, state and local elections across the country.  For the first time in a long time, everything local is national, and everything national is local.

But in Brooklyn don't expect any of that to help more than one or two, or possibly three GOP and Conservative  candidates  ---  thanks to the party apparatus and operations (together with a couple of special side deals with Dems) put together by Golden, Ghorra, Kassar and Vella-Marrone. The only real GOP power in Brooklyn is what's being run mostly by Democrat Dov Hikind & Company in the Kings Bay, Sheepshead Bay, Brighton Beach and Manhattan Beach enclave.

As we enter the final stages of the 2022 election cycle,  Brian Fox is showing everybody exactly what he's got and what he's made of. ---  And  ---  it's even worse than what he showed us in his 2021 race for NY City Council.

Almost a day late, Fox has doubled-down on the dismal abysmal "anti-crime rally" at the corner of 79th Street and Third Avenue in Bay Ridge on his campaign's FB page.  After a few others had already posted the pix of that "all hands" Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party "event," Fox and friends obviously thought that he needed to weigh-in as well.

This is typical Brian Fox material  ---  a dull and listless presentation of his "Johnny One Note" anti-crime pitch.....  However, since as usual, he is a day late and a pound short, everybody needs to ask  ---  is Brian Fox's heart really in any of it ?  Does Brian Fox really care about crime in our neighborhoods, even a little bit ???

Even the "I hate Brooklyn" Vito LaBella was recently able to engage in a public debate with the 68th Precinct Commander about how the crime stats were being misused to cover up the spikes in many categories of local crime that local voters really care about.

Would Brian Fox ever do such a thing ?  ---  Could he ??? 

There is a real "Red Tide" coming  ---  and it will even be felt here in Brooklyn  ---  but  ---  thanks to the very lack-luster effort by Brian Fox, he will still get beaten badly by Andrew Gounardes.....  And like his day-late pix of  an anti-crime rally 500 feet from where he lives, and about a hundred feet from "Offshore..." where he has his breakfast  ---  when it comes to Brian Fox  ---  that's all there is.

What if the Brooklyn GOP & Conservative Party threw what they thought would be a big event --- and nobody who was important came ?

 

Did it make the same noise as the tree falling in the forest with nobody close enough to hear it ???

Armed FBI raids for "classified material" now lead to people just disappearing --- ABC reporter/ producer suddenly "resigns" --- and he isn't heard from again

James Gordon Meek, the now-former ABC News investigative reporter/ producer, abruptly resigned from the Disney-owned network after the FBI raided his Arlington, Virginia, home in April  ---  and colleagues haven’t seen him since, according to recent reports

At the time when the FBI raid was staged,  Meek was assisting and/or co-authoring a book detailing Joe Biden's direct involvement in the disastrous withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan  ---  shortly afterwood, Meek withdrew from his participation in that project about Biden and Afghanistan  ---  he had been working on a that project with Lt. Col. Scott Mann, and in due course, a book about that material was published under Mann's sole authorship  

Why isn't the disappearance of James Gordon Meek a bigger deal in the mainstream national news media  ???  ---  It's a mystery story about national security and about the national MSM  ---  it would seem like a natural fit for them.....

According to the NY Post and Rolling Stone magazine, ABC's Emmy Award-winning journalist, James Gordon Meek, who broke several high-profile national security and terrorism-related stories has been missing since the FBI reportedly seized classified information from his laptop during a raid on his Arlington, Virginia apartment.  

James Gordon Meek is a 52-year-old investigative reporter and producer and was employed by ABC up to the time this happened. However, he has not been seen in public since heavily armed federal agents raided his penthouse apartment in Arlington in April.  

A spokesperson for  Meek's "former" employer, ABC News said,  “He resigned very abruptly and hasn’t worked for us for months.”  And ABC News staffers who worked with Meek told the Rolling Stone's reporters working on the story that Meek just “... fell off the face of the Earth....”

It should also be noted that Meek had worked for ABC News, and various subsidiaries like HULU, since 2013;  and that he previously was a senior investigator for the House Homeland Security Committee.

Eugene Gorokhov, reported to be a lawyer for Meek, said he knew nothing about classified material at Meek's home or on his computer, but he did say that  >>>  if Meek had something, it would have been connected to his investigative reporting; and that Meek didn't have any information from "anonymous sources" about any claims made against the U.S. government. 

A recent Biden verbally expressed brain fart caused a major international incident --- further exacerbating the Biden regime's growing problems with & within the international Muslim community of nations and populations

 

In his rambling speech at a Democrat political gathering last week, the increasingly addlepated Joe Biden openly criticized the weak security of the only acknowledged Islamic-state controlled nuclear weapons on the planet  ---  and the President also openly suggested that Pakistan is a problematic ally

Yesterday, the U.S. State Department had to formally walk back the President's statements  >>>  that apparently had  questioned Pakistan’s ability to keep its nuclear weapons safe  ---  and other presidential remarks that  >>>  went as far as to call the large Islamic South Asian nation, and a nominal ally of the United States, “one of the most dangerous nations in the world”.....  

Although widely reported around the world,  Biden's major international gaffe  ---  and the resulting formal furor by Pakistan over the President's "unofficial" remarks  ---  largely remained unreported by the press and other parts of the MSM here in the United States

Following the publication of an official transcript of the President's remarks at last week's unofficial political event, the Pakistani Foreign Affairs Ministry immediately summoned the U.S. Ambassador to Islamabad Donal Blome, and requested the ambassador deliver a formal demarche to Washington about President Biden’s comments. 

The Pakistani the Foreign Affairs Ministry did not attempt to  keep the diplomatic fracas under wraps in any way; but instead issued a press release that said inter alia,  “Pakistan’s disappointment and concern was conveyed to the US envoy on the unwarranted remarks, which were not based on ground reality or facts....” 

Principal Deputy Spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State Vendal Patel addressed the growing international scandal on Tuesday by telling reporters that, “...  the United States is confident of Pakistan’s commitment and its ability to secure nuclear assets....  The U.S. has always viewed a secure and prosperous Pakistan as critical to U.S. interests. And more broadly, the U.S. values our longstanding cooperation with Pakistan....”

By the time the U.S. State Department had intervened to try to damp down the the Pakistani's outrage, most high-profile Pakistani political leaders had weighed in to condemn Biden and his remarks.  Saturday, Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari told reporters that he was shocked by President Biden’s comments, noting that the concerns informally expressed by President Biden over Pakistan’s nuclear weapon safety had not been raised by U.S. officials to him during his recent visit to the United States in September — when U.S. Secretary of Defense Anthony Blinken went so far as to justify publically the sale of U.S. weapons to Pakistan.

So far, none of that appears to have mollified Pakistan, which is still percolating over all of what's gone on since last week.. 

After Pakistan had summoned the U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan for a formal dressing-down after Biden's "gaffe” about the dangers posed by Pakistan and its nukes, the matter was reported throughout the Islamic world by Al Jezeera; and Saudi Arabia's official state TV aired a segment that thoroughly ridiculed President Biden. Various major European TV outlets, newspapers and Reuters have fully covered this story.   NOT SO MUCH IN THE USA !!!!!

Brian Fox and Andrew Gounardes must be doing the Stanley and Livingston thing together --- both taking their campaigns to "Darkest Africa"

With three weeks to go until Election Day 2022 & and with early voting started in many locations --- President Donald Trump and his closest MAGA allies continue with their own focused attacks against Demcrats across the country and all media platforms

Letter to Committee Chairman steals what little thunder the January 6th Committee might have generated with its virtually worthless swag subpoena of President Trump.....

At the top of Donald Trump's list were renewed claims that "... THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2020 WAS RIGGED AND STOLEN ! ..."  ---   and that he should have been certified as President instead of Biden  ---  and he also defended the January 6th Capitol Hill demonstrators as "Patriots" exercising their constitutional rights

Meanwhile, Trump's well-known allies have paid for billboards and TV ads during the 2022 Major League Playoffs to specifically blame Joe Biden for the crisis at the U.S. southern border  ---  with millions of "illegals" pouring into the country  ---  including rapists, murderers, and drug smugglers  ---  causing a rises in the flow of drugs like fentanyl, and contributing to an overall rise in crime across the whole country

Here's how Trump's recent (October 13th) letter to the Chairman of the Special House Select Committee investigating January 6th framed the arguments (in langauge obviously aimed at the American people, and especially at the 2022 voters):

Kassar did exactly that  >>> to stop a very big story from appearing in a major NYC city-wide daily that would have had major scandalous implications for both Democrat State Senate Candidate Iwen Chu >>> and her patron and mentor Assemblymember Peter Abbate

Back in August, during an interview on "Mornings with Maria," New York gubernatorial candidate and Rep. Lee Zeldin told Bay Ridge's own Maria Barttromo some of the actions he intended to implement the "first day" he took takes office as the governor of New York. 

According to Zeldin, under "...  the New York state constitution, the governor of the state of New York has the authority, and I would argue the obligation, to remove a district attorney who refuses to enforce the law...." 

Then Lee Zeldin specifically said that he would remove Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.....  

That's fine as far as it goes  ---  but it ignored a DA in New York State that has consistently refused to apply the law in situations far worse that what they say Alvin Bragg has done  ---  Albany DA David Soares, somebody that Zeldin should know very well because of his many years in Albany.  And we're' not talking about the stuff that Lee Zeldin might have heard on the local news or read in Soares' pet newspaper, The Albany Times-Union, we're talking about the real stories that make their way around the water coolers in the State House, or get whispered along or across the bars near City Hall and the Capitol in Albany or sometimes a little further away.

There is little doubt that Zeldin knows Albany very well, not only was he a long-time legislator, he went to college and law school there. That's why it was so odd that Zeldin would be in Albany and talking about the rise in crime there, but not talking as if the local DA David Soares wasn't part of the problem.  NO !  He didn't.  ---  In fact, one of the articles about Zeldin's  having pizza in Albany yesterday, and talking about crime with the pizza shop's owner made it seem that DA Soares was more a part of the solution and not a major cause of the problem of rising crime. Oddly, an even more recent local NYC report about Zeldin's positions on how to fix the crime problem finished with praise for the Albany DA and his support for similar proposals.

So, what does Jerry Kassar have to do with that ?    ---  Now, THAT IS an interesting question.

Kassar knows the ins-and-outs-and-back-chanels of  Albany for a very long time, but this isn't a history lesson nor a recitation of Kassar's ten biggest deals with Albany Democrats  ---  but don't forget that Kassar worked for Marty Golden for a very long time, so enough said about that. 

Let's jump ahead to the part where DA Soares has Kassar under the gun for two big deal problems  ---  one with long-time chum John Haggerty and a lot of phony third-party petitions  ---  and the other with Peter Abbate and a lot of grief over Abbate's staffer Joseph P. Brady.

For some reason, DA Soares has slow-walked an open and shut election fraud case against John Haggerty, a prior-convicted election law felon, in which the more recent case  against Haggerty absolutely had to involve Kassar as a co-conspirator  --- that is one Sword of Damocles that Soares has over Kassar.  The other SOD is equally compelling  ---  to a degree of metaphysical certainty,  Jerry Kassar had to have had almost as many dealings with Joseph P. Brady as anybody else over the years, because of Kassar's duties on behalf of Marty Golden.

Without getting too deep into the weeds, Kassar really does need to do quite a few "contracts" for a variety of Democrats this year to keep Albany DA Soares off of his back.

One is to make sure nobody goes after DA Soares, before Governor Hochul does something very nice for Soares. The second is to do his best to make sure that Governor Hochul remains in a position to do something very nice for Soares.  The third is much closer to home for Mr. Kassar  ---  to make sure that his candidate against Iwen Chew doesn't bring up anything about the Joseph P. Brady case in any effort to win the race for the 17th State Senate seat.

Since the Joseph P. Brady -- Iwen Chew thing is the closest to home for most of you good people, let's upack that one a little bit.  Brady is the Abbate staffer that "all of a sudden" had some real problems involving a murder, kidnapping, a rape, and an assault with a gun, and gun possession all in connection with some biker clubs in Albany, allegedly involved in the illegal drugs and gun trade. The two folks that allegedly were either kidnapped, falsely imprisoned, raped, and assaulted and threatened with a gun were a couple of, as the say in Abbate's Bensonhurst  --- "yutes" that were being "mentored" by Brady.....  That word "mentored" sort of jumps out, doesn't it.  Well it should.....  So, let's do a deep dive into this.  

As we have reported on this blog in the past,  for over ten years, Joseph Brady was the go-to guy in the state Legislature for the leaders and lobbyists associated with New York’s public sector labor unions, in his role as the longtime legislative director for state Assemblyman Peter J. Abbate Jr.  In fact, Brady was the virtual gatekeeper for the very senior Brooklyn Democrat.  Abbate has been a NYS Assemblymember since 1986,  whose leadership of the chamber’s Governmental Employees Committee gave him significant influence over labor issues  ---  hence, his extremely close interractions with State Senator Marty Golden, and Golden's long-time top staffer Jerry Kassar, who were doing the same for the NY State Senate.

Brady also led a double life as the co-founder of a notorious chapter of the biker club East Coast Syndicate. That capital region motorcycle club had been formed about six years ago, and has since attracted the attention of state and federal law enforcement for its members’ alleged affinity for drug use and trafficking, guns, and violence. 

There is something else to all of this.  Just as there are strict rules governing the operations of the NY State Legislature, and organizations funded by the legislature, the East Coast Syndicate club that Brady and three others co-founded apparently had its own strict guidelines, and a written constitution and by-laws. That is the sort of thing that is necessary if an organization is receiving government funding for the mentoring of yutes  ---  like Brady said he was doing.

Recently, a major NYC daily was investigating this possible state funding of Joseph P. Brady's Albany area motorcycle club  ---  with an eye to tying it all to Abbate and Iwen Chu in advance of the upcoming elections.  Needless to say, there was no cooperation from the Democrats, but the odd thing was that NYS Conservative Party State Chairman Jerry Kassar shut down any cooperation involving articles about Joseph P. Brady by the Republicans and Conservatives that he keeps under his thumb in Brooklyn.

Even by the lowered bar, squishy-soft standards of the flaccid Joe Biden Presidency --- Hunter Biden remains the "Achilles Heel" that very likely will bring the whole Biden RICO operation crashing down

 

President Joe Biden's lies and contradictions about his son Hunter's personal and business convolutions are catching up to dotty old Joe with increasing speed and intensity

Once again, President Joe Biden says that he has confidence in his son   >>>  during the President's recent  comments to Jake Tapper about the possibility of federal charges being prepared against Hunter Biden  

>>>  However, although President Biden was trying to sound spontaneous and "from the heart" to Tapper and the nation  ---  Biden's actual words were almost verbatum how he handled the matter during a presidential debate with Donald Trump in 2020 <<<

All of this came up while President Biden was reacting to earlier reporting in The Washington Post that indicated certain FBI agents believe the DOJ had sufficient evidence to bring charges against the president’s son for a variety of tax crimes, and making a false statement about substance abuse on an ATF form when he ahd been applying to purchase a gun.  In his first public comments about possible federal tax and gun charges against his son, the president said that he had “great confidence” in Hunter Biden, and the President believed that Hunter was “on a straight and narrow” after his struggles with substance abuse.

Biden had made these  comments when he was interviewed by Jake Tapper on CNN (aired by CNN this past Tuesday night). In the Jake Tapper interview President Biden said “I have great confidence in my son. I love him. He’s on a straight and narrow, and he has been for a couple years now....” Biden said in the interview with Jake Tapper. During that interview, the Joe Biden was reacting to recent reports from The Washington Post that said certain federal agents believed that they had sufficient evidence to charge the president’s son with tax crimes and making a false statement about substance abuse when he applied to purchase a gun.  [[[ Interestingly, Biden used almost verbatum similar words during his debate with then-President Trump  >>>  "....  “My son, like a lot of people, like lot of people you know at home, had a drug problem. He’s fixed it, he’s worked on it. And I’m proud of him. I’m proud of my son....”]]]

In that interview, the President also said this about Hunter and what he might have done:  ".... I’m proud of my son....  He got hooked on, like many families have had happened, hooked on drugs. He’s overcome that....  He’s established a new life....  I’m confident that he is, what he says and does are consistent with what happens...."   [Talking about the false statement on the gun form, the President said this]  ".... He came along and said, ‘By the way this thing about a gun, I didn’t know anything about it,’...  You get asked the question are you on drugs or use drugs. He said no. And he wrote about saying no in his book....” [referring to his son’s memoir, published last year].

Not very long before the addle-brained Joe Biden was sworn in as President, in December 2020,  the FBI tried to interview Hunter Biden, leading the younger Biden to publicly acknowledge that he was under federal investigation. At that time, Hunter Biden denied any wrongdoing, and in a written statement said: “I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisers.”

The President's rfrecnt comments to CNN also came shortly after a British publication unveiled what it claims was a voice message by Joe Biden sent to his son sent in late 2018, and expressing his love for his son, saying, “You gotta get some help.” The message was later aired on a Fox News show that is hosted by Sean Hannity.

Quite apart from all of this, questions about Hunter Biden’s dodgy business dealings have long and continually plagued Joe Biden's days as V.P.,  campaign for president, and as the President of the United States.
