Nearly a million new non-citizen voters will soon be eligible to be added to the NYC voter rolls

At least three or four of them will be enrolled as Republicans;  and a few others might on occasion be voting Republican

So, let's project a little  ---  and be very conservative in our estimates  ---  let's say there will be probably 250,000 to 500,000 new non-citizen Democrat voters City-wide;  and what, maybe a few hundred, or at most a few thousand, might be potential non-citizen Republican enrollees and/or voters

Does anybody want to get a little granular, and project how many of these new non-citizen voters will be registered within the boundaries of new Justin Brannan and Andrew Gounardes* districts after reapportionment ???

To whom it might concern:

Good luck, with all of that.....

* Oh, you believe that the enrolled non-citizen voters will only be voting in NYC municipal elections  ---  AH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!

ON RELATED OR UNRELATED MATTERS: THE "BATTLE OF THE HAIR PIECES" EDITION

DOES THE BROOKLYN GOP REALLY THINK THAT BATTLING FOR, AGAINST, OR OVER NON-CITIZEN VOTERS IS A CONTEST THAT BEST WOULD BE LED BY SOMEBODY WITH PLENTY OF NON-HAIR OR OTHER THAN EVEN SOMEWHAT NATURALIZED FULLY PLUGGED-IN HAIR ???

THE BROOKLYN PAPER'S FEATURE ABOUT THE POSSIBLE GHORRA-MARESCA FACE-OFF FOR BROOKLYN GOP "CHAIRMAN" WAS MORE QUAINT, CHARMING, AND DIS-ARMING --- THAN IT WAS A REAL DEAL THAT ANYBODY COULD FEEL WITH ANY ZEAL --- OR EVEN BOTHER TO CONCEAL WITH THE HOPE THAT IT ALL MIGHT HEAL

Correct us if we might have this wrong, BUT:

... about Ted Ghorra --- can he be serious when he says that anything has gotten better for the Brooklyn GOP since he's been made the Grand Old Party Kings County Chairman ???

... about Stephen Maresca --- wasn't he Ted Ghorra's loyal Vice Chairman during many of the very same campaigns and elections, for which he now is saying Ghorra's leadership and/or oversight was so terrible ?????

Data says there are around 17,500 green card holders in this area. Looks like Boss Brannan just clinched re-election in 2024

146, that's the kind of attitude that gets you close-but-not-quite-there against Brannan in 2017 and again in 2021. A truism from the world of basketball, from the NBA down to pickup in the local schoolyards and playgrounds, nobody ever makes a shot that they don't take.

Fox will trounce Andy in 2022 state senate

Anonymous said...

Brian Fox should never get any GOP nominations for anything, if the Brooklyn GOP bothers to do any kind of real vetting of the guy.

Anonymous said...

Andys new district will eliminate any GOP chance. Its over.

Daily News and Brooklyn Paper have articles today about Moya's race for speaker. Nothing about Justin.

Anonymous said...

All kinds of deals happening in speaker race. Nothing involving the cream cheese kid.

Anonymous said...

1150, you are my "cream cheese kid" and I want to feel you ooze into my "Everything Bagel" hole, because I want to be your personal "Bagel Boy"; but when Marty G comes by for his coffee and victuals, I want him to watch so he can know what cream cheese and bagels really means to us.

RESPONSE: THE "MOYA, SCHMOYA, BOUGHT BY THE LAWYERS...." EDITION

TO EVERYBODY ABOVE EXCEPT THE LESS THAN TASTEFUL "CREAM CHEESE" CROWD

WHY DO ANY BROOKLYN REPUBLICANS AND/OR CONSERVATIVES CARE ABOUT WHOM THE MAJORITY OF DEMOCRATS SELECT TO BE THEIR COUNCIL SPEAKER --- OR VIEW WITH ANYTHING BUT DISGUST A POSSIBILITY THAT ANY REPUBLICAN COUNCIL MEMBERS MIGHT HAVE EVEN A TINY HAND TO PLAY IN IT ??????????

These are revolutionary times, and the middle will not hold.

The only thing to do to blunt a revolution is launch a counter-revolution --- cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war.

Now that Justin Brannan has attacked that hallowed NYC holiday tradition "Santacon"...

It's time for Big Brian Fox to stand up and take on Big Boss Brannan over something that is real, and that really does matter, instead of all the phony stuff Liam told him to say that cost him the election last month.

Anonymous said...

Justin made many wrong moves in 2021.

Anonymous said...

The latest press reports 3 contenders for speaker. Moya, carlina rivera, keith powers. some articles have gale brewer in the running. Not even a mention about brannen.

Anonymous said...

925, that don't mean no never mind to me or anybody that I know. Why are you pretending that it means anything to anybody?

Anonymous said...

Has nick worked with a winning candidate yet?

Anonymous said...

Looks like Boss Brannan wins again as Brian Fox boat runs into the rocks

"Multiple sources said Boss Brannan in particular is a lynchpin given the work he had done for several years to build relationships with returning and incoming Council members and the support he had secured. Brannan is basically acting as his own County organization to cut a deal with the Queens and Bronx organizations..."

12:25 acts like this isnt justins blog. 12:25 also acts like hes not justin.

Anonymous said...

No the latest press has justin backing Adrienne Adams for speaker.

RESPONSE: THE "MEATBALLS" EDITION

TO ALL THE STUPID PEOPLE --- YES, THAT PROBABLY MEANS YOU TOO

NO, THAT ESPECIALLY MEANS >>> YOU <<<

As Bill Murray said in his great masterwork, "Meatballs" >>> "... It just doesn't matter...."

"... City Council Speaker..." Seriously ? I mean >>> SERIOUSLY !!!!! <<<

HOWEVER, THIS IS IMPORTANT:
"Anonymous said... at 10:17 AM" posted this comment: "... 12:25 acts like this isnt justins blog. 12:25 also acts like hes not justin...."

Although we here at this independent Republican blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island completely agreed with the sentiments of "12:25" >>> we can say with absolute real and metaphysical certainty that this is not Justin's blog; and with equal force, but only relative certainty, we can also say it is our belief that "12:25" is not Justin.

What everybody commenting above is refusing to address, focus upon, or apparently even think about, is that if Brooklyn Republicans don't change radically, and address real issues that matter in responsible new ways, they will probably not see another election victory anywhere in Brooklyn ever again.

On the other hand, to reiterate what Bill Murray said in "Meatballs" --- "It just doesn't matter".....

It might be news if Justin was backing "YO! ADRIENNE" from "Rocky"

Anonymous said...

Justin always gets some leftovers.

Anonymous said...

That might be so, but after Craig Eaton, the Brooklyn Reublicans always seem to get less than leftovers

Anonymous said...

There will be no leftovers with Stephen Maresca leading the party. A chicken in every pot!

Anonymous said...

Craig?

Anonymous said...

One thing is certain: Brian Fox will not be the next Speaker of the Council

Anonymous said...

Craig who???

Anonymous said...

One thing is certain: Nobody at City Hall ever thought the next speaker was going to be a white guy except for justin and his bros.

Anonymous said...

Eaton's Pragmatism and Humor Put Him Out of Step With a Changing GOP. It's a new day. It's time for Steve Maresca

Anonymous said...

Bistreich is closing in on justin !!

Anonymous said...

the press is referring to Justin as the "linchpin" in making the first female African American speaker.

the press is referring to Stephen Maresca as the next Kings County GOP Chairman.

but the press is not referring to Brian Fox or Liam whatsoever.

Galewyn Massey said...

RESPONSE: THE " 'THE PRESS' WHAT'S 'THE PRESS' ???" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 11:30 AM"

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT..... BUT ONLY SAYING "THE PRESS" MEANS LOOKING HITHER AND YON TO VERIFY THE ITEM

The line about Brannan being the lynchpin for the movement to get behind Adrienne Adams for Council Speaker appeared in Saturday's Gotham Gazette..... However, the GG folks cautioned that the matter of settling on a NYC Council Speaker is still very fluid.

As for your Stephen Maresca reference as the "...next Kings County GOP Chairman" --- maybe some wistful thinking here and there, but there's been no substantive reporting saying anything like that. Why can't people inside the Brooklyn GOP realize that they already have had enough "bad hair days" to last a lifetime for normal people.

BTW, did you see the picture posted by Diana S-G of Brian Fox with Russ Gallo at Muscles and More ???

Merry Christmas to Russ and Diana --- we preferred the beautiful picture of her and Russ in his "dress blues" --- that one tells a much more uplifting and better all around story for everybody.....

Anonymous said...

The matter of settling on a NYC Council Speaker is still very unclear. The only clear thing is that Brian Fox has never met a bowl of pasta he didn't wolf down along with Mikey Bestrich and his brother Michael DeMartino

Anonymous said...

here he (justin) goes again. no 11;30 justin is no linchpin just a big fat hanger on. Adrienne Adams knows justin is an army of one. apparently when the press asked justin to weigh in he thought the poundage mattered,

Anonymous said...

press says justin is out of the picture. was he ever in the picture?

now its adams or moya. no justin.

Anonymous said...

Who is Craig? He was a Chairman for 10 years who brought victory, diversity and young people back into the Party. He won races, had a storefront County HQ and had amazing Holiday parties. He hobnobbed, became friends with and was supported by Bloomberg, Catsimatidis, Chairman Ed Cox, the other County Chairs and all the elected officials he helped get elected.

AND, he left in epic fashion and then it all turned to shit.

Anonymous said...

7:28 should turn that into a novel.

Anonymous said...

What Craig is known for is his feud with Marty Golden, Brooklyn and NYC top Republican. And the Ed Cox and John Cats endorsing Golden while Eaton stayed alone against him. Then to add insult to injury Cats says Golden is "mentoring" his daughter. Now, that's epic.

Anonymous said...

4:00 the charade is over no one believed that tired old story to begin with. Even Ted’s supporters are begging Craig to come back, and unless Marty is willing to empty his campaign account to save Ted, it’s over.

Anonymous said...

4:00pm Marty Golden "Brooklyn and NYC Top Repubican" who was a 20+ year incumbant and lost to a virgin politician, and still had over $ 3250,000.00 in his campaign account as we wept on election night.

Wow, what a top Republican he was....when he wasnt making underhanded deals with the Dems to keep his seat every year.

You cant make this stuff up.

Anonymous said...

So Eaton endorsed Golden and Cats and Cox did not? Cats didn't send out on social media a photo of his daughter with Marty saying "mentoring"? 908

Anonymous said...

Cats endorsed Golden a few days before the election so he couldn’t be blamed for the state GOP lost the majority in the senate. Cats won’t never forget what was done to him when he ran for Mayor. Craig could be chairman again anytime he wanted. Marty know he picked the wrong guy.

Anonymous said...

Does it really matter? Golden lost. That is the last chapter in the book. Doesn’t matter who endorsed or didn’t endorse him. He lost after a 20 yr stint. He should be very embarrassed. Especially since he still had $350K to spend.

Anonymous said...

Marty lost. END of story about that old man.

Anonymous said...

Cats embarrassed Craig. END of story.
