Maybe the biggest villain in Brooklyn supported by Jerry Kassar, the NYS Senate Republicans, and a cowed and completely "buffaloed" electorate is not Marty Golden --- just as likely, it is Simcha Felder

According to the "Canarsie Courier":   "Under the stewardship of NY State Chairman Curtis Sliwa and Kings County Chairman Bob Capano, the state’s Reform Party has been mixing it up on the issues with other political parties and getting serious contenders in place for this fall’s elections...."

Case in point:  The Reform Party candidate against  Simcha Felder (D-R-C)  ---  LUIS RIVERA

This is what the report appearing in the "Canarsie Courier" had to say:  "One issue that affects many yeshivah school kids and their parents in the Canarsie Courier’s coverage area in Brooklyn, as well as throughout the state, and that has been gaining traction in parochial educational circles, is what the Young Advocates For Fair Education (YAFFED) describes as a sub-standard secular education provided in some ultra-Orthodox schools....   It is an issue that Sliwa protégé, and fellow long-term Guardian Angels member, Luis Rivera, is passionate about. Rivera, the Reform Party challenger currently gunning for Democratic State Senator Simcha Felder’s Brooklyn District 17 seat, issued a blistering press release in which he claims Felder had a [ ] role in lowering the bar for yeshivah education standards....   Rivera argues that the 'Felder Amendment' - as he calls it - 'carves out special treatment to ultra-Orthodox yeshivahs that lowers the bar even further for students.'  He claims that the embattled Felder - who is also being attacked by fellow Democrats as a closet Republican - held hostage the current Albany budget until he successfully slipped in the 'yeshivah carve-out.'...”     ("Reform Party Flexing Its Brooklyn Muscles" by Rybstein,  7/25/18,  Canarsie Courier   [http://canarsiecourier.com/reform-party-flexing-its-brooklyn-muscles-p2388-199.htm]).

The article also noted that  ---  "Felder’s district covers a large swath of Brooklyn’s orthodox communities from Boro Park to Flatlands, Marine Park and Sheepshead Bay, where Rivera faces an uphill battle to become the next state senator...."  and that  "....  Rivera called on Mayor Bill de Blasio to follow through on his three-year-old promise to investigate the city’s yeshivahs to ensure they are meeting their secular education requirements...."

  2. Rivera is a "serious contender"? Really Gale?

  3. Luis Rivera! Hahahah
    Gale has Golden Derangement Syndrome.

  4. GM sounds like you are not questioning anything Bob Capano gives you. Rivera candidacy going nowhere. Felder is safe whether anyone likes it or not. Golden is safe too but not as safe as Felder. His opponents don't have two nickels to rub together.

  5. If Rivera gets 2% he has doubled the last big time reform party buffoon. Opps I guess this will get deleted.

  6. The anti Capano haters don't get the point.
The point is, as the NY Post and so many others have picked up (& put Capano Center Stage yet again in the press) is that unlike the Republican and conservative parties and others, the Reform Party stood up and Felder will NOT go unopposed...no one expects Rivera to win..
    Ahahahah

  7. There is no real Republican party in Brooklyn anymore. It is a colony of the Conservatives and a real shame at that. Has anyone seen or heard from Ted Ghorra after his hilarious cameo at Dan Donovan's victory party? He was probably saying to himself I can't believe they let me in let alone on stage.

  8. Ghorra, Liam, and all the other Grimm supporters have been MIA..although with Liam and his history , many are really worried

  9. Speaking of Grimm supporters Saps and Ray I don't blog anonymously have been working overtime to patch things up with Marty so one of them could become the next Ted Ghorra at the reorg next year.

  10. RESPONSE: THE "INTERPOSITION OF A 'SETTING UP THE STRAW MAN' DEFENSE" EDITION

    TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 8:46 AM"; "... AT 9:58 AM"; "... AT 10:26 AM"; "... AT 11:13 AM" & "... AT 11:36 AM"

ALL OF THE COMMENTS BY THESE "ANONYMOUS" COMMENTERS ABOVE MAKE ATTACKS ON AND/OR RAISE DEFENSES AGAINST PROPOSITIONS THAT WERE NOT RAISED IN MY MAIN POST ABOVE THIS INSTANT COMMENTS THREAD

As for something complex and compound like this: "GM sounds like you are not questioning anything Bob Capano gives you. Rivera candidacy going nowhere. Felder is safe whether anyone likes it or not. Golden is safe too but not as safe as Felder. His opponents don't have two nickels to rub together...." --- It's just so wrong in so many ways..... My post was a report about a journalistic commentary, which appeared in the "Canarsie Courier"; it's not from any statement or release that came to me from Mr. Capano. Furthermore, I never opined about Felder's seat not being "safe"; or that Felder's opponents might be well financed.

However, the comment "... at 10:26 AM" has to be my favorite --- "Luis Rivera! Hahahah.... Gale has Golden Derangement Syndrome...." How does my post about a newspaper article's covering Luis Rivera's running against Simcha Felder demonstrate that "... Gale has Golden Derangement Syndrome...." ???

  11. Are Ray Rivera and Ray Deniero related?

-Ray Denaro (I dont blo...you get the point)

  14. Wait a minute, 8:51, aren't you sometimes called "Mr. Johnson?"

    ReplyDelete
  15. --- Well, 9:36, my name is really Raymond J. Johnson Jr. not Ray Denaro....

Now you can call me Ray, or you can call me J, or you can call me Johnny, or you can call me Sonny, or you can call me Junie, or you can call me Junior; now you can call me Ray J, or you can call me RJ, or you can call me RJJ, or you can call me RJJ Jr....

--- BUT, you doesn't hasta call me Mister Johnson!"

  16. Barkan is no getting beat over the head for him accepting a personal (not party) endorsement from Ari Kagan , a Den district leader who opposed building mosques in Coney Island to prevent Arabs from infiltrating the area...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Everyone is getting on the Barkan victory train.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Eh! It could be Barkan after all; and that's pretty good for Marty, maybe.

    ReplyDelete
  19. If Barkan even dreams he gets within 20 points of Gounardes he better wake up and apologize.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Obviously the Golden folks here and on Quaglione's anonymous Twitter accounts are pushing Barkan...they really fear Gounardes

  21. fearing gournarde? Makes no sense. Barkan has golden on the ropes. Barkan has more supporters

  22. 9:04 Ross buddy you're just not funny anymore. Your desperation in employing the El-Yateem strategy is obvious except it won't work for you because it's just you and Andrew in the primary, the moderate vote in the Democratic primary last year was split several ways, that's why El-Yateem got so close. Do yourself a favor, move to Williamsburg or the Upper West Side and wait for an opportunity, you're gonna get hurt with the result in this primary worst than when Justin foolishly tried running Chris for Assembly and got slapped around and embarrassed by Treyger.

    TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... 10:42 AM"

SOME OBSCURE REFERENCES TO "ROSS"; THE "UPPER WEST SIDE" AND "WILLIAMSBURG" ARE NOT SUGGESTIVE OF POGROMS, KRISTALLNACHT OR EVEN STALIN'S USE OF ANY ALLEGED "DOCTORS' PLOT" --- IT DOESN'T EVEN SEEM THAT CLOSE TO "GENTLEMAN'S AGREEMENT" TERRITORY

There are plenty of real offenses and real overreaches in our political campaigns, some might even involve actual expressions of open anti-semitism. Why not wait for something unambiguous and obvious before sounding the alarm and/or calling for a radical response akin to censorship.

  25. YOU DONT SEE IT !!!

Fine Gale. You can stick to that story.

Get Gale Justin and Capano in a room and none of them will see the tops of there shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ross only reason I mentioned Upper West Side and Williamsburg is because you’re too liberal for Park Slope purely political analysis. Get a life and stop hanging out at a Republican blog. Drop out before you take a worse humiliation than Justin every time he sees Ethan and Treyger.

  27. Thank you for Justin for the advice on how to increase a city paycheck. Any tips on losing weight?

  28. Gale, are you busy, or have you overlooked Guy Molinari's passing?

  29. RESPONSE: THE "MORE THAN ONE OR TWO BRUSH STROKES" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 8:37 AM"

ONE OR TWO OF MY BEST BSIs KNEW GUY MOLINARI FAR BETTER THAN I DID --- AND THEY WOULD HAVE A LOT MORE INTERESTING THINGS TO SAY AND STORIES TO TELL.....

They have not reached out to me yet about Guy, nor I to them.....

However, I can say this right now --- Guy was once my Congressman; I voted for him and I was satisfied with the job that he did; and I also know that he was so much more than that.

On the other hand, I do know that even on Staten Island he was an acquired taste --- and many people did not develop that taste, there and elsewhere.

Some portraits take a while to paint.

  30. I voted for Murphy

    ReplyDelete
  31. Now that Guy V. Molinari has passed away, it can be fairly said that one of the unique memorials to that Staten Island icon is a spaceship featured in James S. A. Corey's novel "Leviathan Wakes" and its cable television adaptation, "The Expanse," a series on the Sci-Fi network.

    ReplyDelete
  32. does grimm have to pay molinari back the 20k he borrowed to pay that fine?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Liam will pay it

    ReplyDelete
  34. Bob will cover it.

Just think of how many coins he finds after sweeping the floors.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hahaha
Bob works in a suite a few doors from John Cats.

    Ahahahahahah

  36. Lots of coins in those big suite couches.

  37. 1032
    Ahahhahaha
    That's all u got.
    Embarrassing
    Ahahah

    ReplyDelete
  38. Some people can’t stand the fact that Bob is doing well and remains close to Cats. The psychos from the Upper Eastside were overheard at a bar, a well known hang out for preppy Republicans ok the Upper East Side telling people that Cats had fired Bob after they published that picture. The lies continue and the Capano derangement syndrome gets worst.
