Who is behind this anti-Liam message ? ? ?

I received the following missive by E-mail from an anonymous source.

Does anybody out there know its provenance ???

It starts like this:

Subject: Brooklyn GOP reorg fireworks

Liam McCabe candidate for GOP primary in 43rd had rage fueled temper tantrum during Bklyn GOP reorg petition processing.

McCabe instructed his team to steal signed petitions from the petitioning room. He held them in an attempt to extort control of several county committee positions in the upcoming reorg. Those present were stunned by this outrageous stunt.

This is Chairman Ghorra's first reorg since officially becoming chair in Nov 2016.

Unnamed sources who were present are willing to speak to you.

McCabe is CEO of political consulting firm, Steeplechase Strategies.
Many have said McCabe is not ready to run.   He is referred to as unstable and undependable.

On July 12th he instructed his Steeplechase associates to steal signed petitions from the Bklyn Gop processing room.  Christine Sisto, President of the Brooklyn South Conservative Club and McCabe's girlfriend and Alexandra Sherer, a Manhattan GOP Leader ran like bats out of hell from the Bay Ridge Manor and into a car that sped away.  These petitions were signed by hundreds of voters and were for several candidates in addition to McCabe.  Once these petitions were signed they became a legal document.  It was a crime to remove them and hold them to extort control over several County Committee seats during the Brooklyn Reorg.

When McCabe returned to the Manor with the petitions he entered and stood in a menacing and threatening way.  He insisted he was justified in stealing the petitions.  Such childish behavior can not be tolerated.

McCabe in a fit of rage, threw a temper tantrum,  screaming and yelling for several minutes.  His team, including Manhattan Political Director and Steeplechase business partne, Robert Morgan,  just watched as their candidate had a melt down.  No one attempted to get him under control.

Chairman Ghorra was present for this tantrum.

A woman stepped in front of McCabe when he stepped towards a young male operative.  She stopped him from hitting the younger man.

With his history of arrest and reckless use of social media.  Those present believe this is news worthy.

If you are interested in speaking with those in attendance, please give me a phone number to call."

  1. Oh my goodness gracious. This tale could have only come from 1 of 5 people who were in the room and from how it was told to me, this is absolutely accurate

    ReplyDelete
  2. This is true, I was there and we are willing to speak to the press. This can end Liams campaign. It will not be the first time Liam/Will McCabe committed a crime, and this is a clear pattern..bye bye Liam time for the adult to take over the race

  3. FOLLOW-UP AND BACKFILL: THE "CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER" EDITION

MC CABE SPOKESPERSON AND THEN THE CANDIDATE HIMSELF CALLED ME TO DENY THE WARP AND WOOF OF THE E-MAIL PUBLISHED ABOVE

"Nothing resembling what appeared in the E-mail published on your blog happened at any meeting attended by Liam or his representatives...." said a senior member of the McCabe Campaign.

".... First, you need some background. There was a joint meeting involving the petitions of two competing candidates that was set up by County Chairman Ted Ghorra so that everybody's petitions might be bound in a proper and transparent manner...." The McCabe Campaign spokesperson then praised the Kings County Republican Chairman's efforts as masterful in both keeping the peace at the meeting and accomplishing the purpose of the gathering.

However, what was also described was a meeting that was about as contentious as anybody might expect where the inner circles of two different campaigns might be gathered for any common pursuit.

A short while later, Liam spoke to me and said that none of the petitions handled by his folks could be "stolen," even if they might have been gathered together at one point, because they were petitions naming him, gathered by his volunteers, and assembled for binding by his campaign coordinators. As for County Committee slots, his petitions contained many, many hundreds of qualifying signatures for County Committee candidates that were proposed by the current District Leaders. As far as he could tell, the real dissatisfaction was over the fact that the Quaglione team overwhelmingly submitted "bullet petitions" naming only John Quaglione and containing no other names, such as for County Committee.

Liam also said that Ted Ghorra would certainly confirm his version of the evening.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Of course liams camp is sucking up to ghorra with their statement above, if he publicly tells the truth liam is certainly done..unfortunately for liam and his camp there are at least 3 people who were there who will confirm the contents of the email as opposed to Liams story. .

    ReplyDelete
  5. Gale, Q's campaign is flailing. They are desperately trying to find a narrative that distracts from the sorry petition situation for Q that you reported on earlier this week. Word on the street is that Lucretia has Q on the ropes in her specs.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Gale
Why dont you just respond to the email and give you phone number so you can get the truth from 3 different people who were there!

    ReplyDelete
  7. 413pm: Looks like there is a rift between Team Q and Ted Ghorra. Perhaps Q's lackluster petition effort is the cause of this.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Marty Golden met with Ghorra last night. Q will have county backing soon enough...just ask Maureen Daly, who formerly was with McCabe and is now with Q

    ReplyDelete
  9. Dont be surprised if you see a press conference next week with Q and Marty calling on McCabe to withdraw over this issue. The Republican party in brooklyn needs adults. McCabe has shown over and over again through black eyes, arrests, social media tantrums, and now this that he has a temperament issue. As much as he thought changing his name from Will to Liam would cause people to forget his past, this is a stark reminder that you cant change so quickly!

    ReplyDelete
  10. 428pm Why is Team Q sending anonymous, breathless missives about Liam if they believe they have County's endorsement?

    ReplyDelete
  11. 436pm-- to make sure pres exposes liam or willie for the fraud he is to make sure he has no choice to withdraw...
Once that happens, race is over

    ReplyDelete
  12. Quaglione filed 100 signatures that also contained the County's County Committee and District Leader slates. His other 750 signatures were for Q and Q alone: bullet petitions.

All 2,000 of McCabe's signatures were on petitions for Liam and the County's slate.

Q went lone wolf on day one. Now he and his tiny group of supporters are just barking at the moon.

    ReplyDelete
  13. So McCabe cursed out Mayor de Blasio and shook his son after learning the kid was smoking pot.

DO I REALLY HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SEPTEMBER TO VOTE FOR LIAM McCABE?

I'm ready to elect him RIGHT NOW.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Somebody really ought to remind Mr. Quaglione about the dead baby girl.

Perhaps these attacks by Quaglione's friends and supporters will, in retrospect, be proven to have been a horrible strategic error.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Something tells me a mailing will not have the details, all prime law and order republicans will see is McCabe arrested on 5 or 6 newspaper headlines..game over

    ReplyDelete
  16. All Prime Right to Life Republicans will only see the dead baby. Career over, Mr. Q.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Obrien..you need something substantive to prove what your saying. .
With McCabe the news headlines are ample..lets see what resonates more

    ReplyDelete

  18. OK so to all who are lingering let's get some questions answered.

    1. Who else was in the room? More than 5 people were in the room.

From the comments it looks like Gorra, McCabe, Sisto, Sherer, Morgan, a young male operative and a woman who stepped between McCabe and the young man operative.

    2. Did McCabe have his people take the petitions so he could see how many of Q's petitions didn't contain County Committee and District Leaders names?

    3. Are the petitions still valid since they left the building and others had access to them? Fake names could have been added to the petitions.

    4. What was Ghorra's response to all of this lollygagging?

    5. What happened to Maureen's support towards Liam?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I was in the room. Never happened. Try not to be used if that's possible

    ReplyDelete
  20. Quaglione and his best friends were bragging that they were going throw Lucretia "off the ballot". Suddenly, the tables have turned.
I heard that Q boy made a deal with Lucretia so HE could stay on the ballot.

    ReplyDelete
  21. All the comments have chosen to ignore the grassy knoll. Discard it completely.

    I expected that.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I saw Liam at Summer Stroll tonight and it looked like he was wearing make up! Is Liam going Hollywood? Tanning salon?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Maybe Liam got a tan while he was out campaigning. It is July.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Nobody is out campaigning in this weather. Capanos uncle in staten island has a pool with a barbecue.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Noone is talking about capano..this is a fight to the death between mccabe and Q..my money is on q and orlando to sink obrien and mccabe

    ReplyDelete
  26. Quaglione is low man on money and signatures. Low energy

    ReplyDelete
  27. 525 what are u talking about q has raised double, almost triple of mccabe and capano..that is why i ssw McCabe needs to beware when W exposes him big time to voters. .mccabe has no money to do any thing but sit with his dog at his office that noone is at

    ReplyDelete
  28. Heya 7:55 PM, funny you should mention seeing Liam at the 3rd Avenue Walk Last night because I too ran into Liam near Giacomo's and thought he looked like he was wearing make-up! Maybe Liam was shooting a television campaign commercial?

    ReplyDelete
  29. 542..please a commercial? ??? With what money. .

    ReplyDelete
  30. Eveybody is going round and round, but it will wind up with J.Q. coming in last in the primary and everybody singing -
'And the cheese stands alone, the cheese stands alone, the cheese stands alone.'

    ReplyDelete
  31. I just spoke to Carl Campania at the NY Post about Liams drunken outburst at the petititoning meeting. .bye bye liam

    ReplyDelete
  32. Liam hasn't had a drink in years, and your slurs are offensive. Great way to build support for your candidate, Mr. Orlando.

    ReplyDelete
  33. These slurs are really an attack on a very successful reorganization effort by Ted Ghorra. The committee would have had no success relying on Q's bullet petition operation and 100 County signatures.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ted Ghorra's wig is voting for Liam but Teddy himself is voting for Quaglando! and youse can take that to the bank

    ReplyDelete
  35. The Republican pro family Republicans will have a clear choice with a family man Republican with a wife and children who owns a home (as opposed to shacking up with his girlfriend and mom). A man who pays property taxes, has no arrests, or questionable past habits and behavior. .a clear choice.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think that all the vile garbage being posted against John and Liam is from Democrats who realize that no matter who wins their primary they are going to be fielding the weakest candidate in 40 years with de Blasio at the top of the ticket. Any one of the Republican candidates not named Lucretia will be the favorite to win the seat.

    ReplyDelete
  37. 1258 pm
Not named lucretia or capano or mccabe

    ReplyDelete

  38. yeah ok orlando.

1258 pm Not named lucretia or capano or mccabe

  39. RESPONSE: THE "GROUND CONTROL TO MAJOR TOM" EDITION

WHOMEVER IS CHOSEN TO "LIFT-OFF" AS THE GOP CANDIDATE FOR CITY COUNCIL --- THIS MISSION IS CLOSER TO A FOOL'S ERRAND THAN IT IS TO A WELL-PLANNED CANAVERAL-STYLE
    SPACE LAUNCH

It doesn't matter who wins in the September GOP Primary, my guess is that by mid-November everybody will be looking back on Capano in 2009 and Quaglione in 2013 as "... the good old days...".

This is how it all will end for the eventual GOP nominee for City Council in the 43rd District:

    Ground Control to Major Tom
    Your circuit's dead,
    There's something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
    Can you....

"Here am I floating round my tin can
    Far above the Moon
    Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do."

    ReplyDelete
  40. Did Liam take an oath when he became an Uber driver? I'm asking for my friend Bob who needs a ride from Staten Island.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I knew a guy who had Ghorra. The clinic had it cleared up in a few weeks

    ReplyDelete
  42. Bob is irrelevant, why do somw like 411 pm keep bringing him up..not worth, don't be scared of him

    ReplyDelete
  43. I hear Quaglione and Golden are going to make McCabe an offer he CAN NOT refuse to withdraw from race on Tuesday? ? Anyone hear anything on this? ?

    ReplyDelete
  44. The city council GOP primary is not even close. McCabe will win. The others are doing him a favor by giving McCabe a win. Its a great way to defeat Khader

    ReplyDelete
  45. Petitioning is generally an overall indication of a campaign's strength.

Quaglione filed the fewest signatures of all four candidates, with the fewest petition witnesses.

His campaign is looking more and more the Alamo everyday.

    ReplyDelete
  46. The Alamo?

At least people showed up to the Alamo.

    ReplyDelete
  47. When Q wins-- McCabe, Obrien, Capano, Gallo & berardelli will be groveling!
    take that to the bank

    ReplyDelete
  48. When Q wins, it will be at miniature golf, with his daughters.

    ReplyDelete
  49. 746 am
great point- Q only father in race..rep voters like that sort of thing!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. 8:10am
    Liam has 2 sons......

    ReplyDelete
  51. The Post article on Liam regarding this headline will be out Tuesday.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Good to see liam reads this blog..he got engaged today..nice try! Your still going down

    ReplyDelete
  53. Only a flailing and desperate candidate would get engaged at a BBQ fund raiser during a campaign. What a sham

    ReplyDelete
  54. Quaglione is the only rep candidate who owns a home, has a wife, and children. .we know gop prime voters like that

    ReplyDelete
  55. RESPONSE: THE "QUAGLIONE FOLKS HAVE OBVIOUSLY BECOME UNGLUED" EDITION

TO: ALL OF THE PRO-JOHN QUAGLIONE NONSENSE PEDDLERS ABOVE

THIS IS WHAT CAMPAIGNS LOOK LIKE WHEN THEY IMPLODE

QUAGLIONE IS THE FIRST GOP CANDIDATE FOR THE COUNCIL TO BE MARGINALIZED IN THE 2017 CYCLE

This is coming from the Quaglione team: "...Quaglione and Golden are going to make McCabe an offer he CAN NOT refuse to withdraw from race on Tuesday..." --- "...The [NY] Post article on Liam regarding [some] headline will be out Tuesday..." --- "... Q only father in race..." --- "...Quaglione is the only rep candidate who owns a home, has a wife, and children..."

Boy, does anybody think that all that kind of stuff will get GOP voters to the polls for John Q. Republican in a September Primary ???

Maybe, but only in about the same percentages as those that signed his petition in June and July. And what was that ??? It looks to me like about ten (10) or ten and a half (10 1/2) percent.....

Guess what ??? Ten to ten and a half percent ( 10-10 1/2 %) in a four way primary loses very badly.....

    ReplyDelete
  56. What happens to Q's home if he has to get a real job?

    ReplyDelete
  57. His wife's mob parents will bail him out.

    ReplyDelete
  58. At least Liam can plan a wedding when he loses.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Leave it to Liam to make his marriage proposal a political stunt
He is like the Republican Carrot Top

    ReplyDelete
  60. says who Bob the munchkin

    ReplyDelete
  61. Boy somebody continues to bring up Capano here..most think he is irrelevant but not 1224am..
Hmmmm...maybe they worry about him after all, wilk have to give him second look.

    ReplyDelete
  62. This is harsh: 'His (JQ's) wife's mob parents will bail him out.'
However, it does raise this issue, is it true, or even close to true?

    ReplyDelete
  63. If its on this blog its gotta be true

    ReplyDelete
  64. Quags will win the Primary. Capano will be Liam's best man at the wedding.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Q will win and Capano will join McCabe at his fake consulting company

    ReplyDelete
  66. anybody see the "press release" that Liam's consultant's sent out about his wacky "marriage proposal" at the Staten Island Yankee game yesterday? This begs the question, has Liam ever done anything that isn't some sort of stunt? This also begs the question, are Capano and Quaglione the _only_ adults in this room? Does Lady Lucretia pull votes from Liam or Capano?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Quaglione is the only adult, only husband, only father, only property owner

    ReplyDelete
  68. wow Q !!

It must be great to have a family with money

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hey 2:46, you left out left out white and christian. If you're going to go all 17th century on the campaign, why cut corners?

    ReplyDelete
  70. 246pm lives in Victorian England where only white male property owners above the age of 21 have suffrage.

    ReplyDelete
  71. There is a reason why Q keeps losing these elections. By now he's memorized all the Donna Reed re runs.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Are you suggesting that Quags is sessile?
That is a very serious charge.
It is an even more serious charge when you say it about somebody like John Quaglione, who has tried to make political activism and some versions of 'public service' a main part of his resume - along with having a wife, some kids and a house.
On the other hand, the fact that any sessile creature has accomplished all that JQ has accomplished is a biological, physiological, psychological, and sociological miracle.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Is 7:26 PM suggesting that John Quaglione might have an unhealthy fascination with Paul Peterson?

    ReplyDelete
  74. It's terrible tot honk that Liam's going to get away with cheating his way out of stealing petitions and now, get away with marrying a decent girl, after cheating on her several times also. This is not an honest man. Unfortunately, it seems most politicians aren't great people.

    ReplyDelete
  75. RESPONSE: THE "MIXED BAG" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 11:21 PM"

YOUR INNUENDOS ARE OFFENSIVE --- YOUR INSIGHTS AND OPINIONS ARE PROBABLY FLAWED BY ULTERIOR MOTIVES

    First, let me state that I am a Liam McCabe observer, and I am not a Liam McCabe supporter nor am I a Liam McCabe opponent [However, I will now disclose that Mr. McCabe recently received a special consideration from me in my "compassionate moderation"involving a featured item that might have become the basis of a major post on this blog >>> concerning Mr. McCabe and/or his campaign and/or at least a couple of his close associates];

    Second, it is clear from then tenor of the presentation of certain matters in the comment above, that it was submitted by someone completely opposed to the candidacy of Liam McCabe to be the GOP nominee for the City Council in the 43rd Council District;

Third, like many "politicians" Liam McCabe, is a mixed bag; and

Fourth, nobody has provided any of the factual detail necessary to conclude that either Liam McCabe or anybody acting his behalf was engaged in or attempting to anything that resembles (d) "stealing petitions."

BTW, TUESDAY PASSED AND THE ROOF DID NOT FALL IN ON LIAM MC CABE OR HIS CAMPAIGN OVER WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED AT ANY MEETING INVOLVING THE JOINT BINDING OF CERTAIN REPUBLICAN PETITIONS --- ALSO, THERE WAS A T LEAST ONE OR TWO BOB CAPANO SUPPORTERS AND/OR REPRESENTATIVES THAT WERE PRESENT AT THE SO-CALLED JOINT PETITIONING MEETING WHERE ALL OF THAT STUFF WENT DOWN.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. False. No Capano supporters were there.

  76. In the big picture what really matters is that Nicole gets on the ballot so she can prove the GOP can get 12% of the vote

    ReplyDelete
  77. Capano was not part of any "petition togther" agreement with County GOP so no Capano represnetatives at the petition gathering on June 12th at the Manor.
As McCabe readily admitted in his op-ed in Kings Councty Politics this was agreed to by McCabe and Quaglione (Capano was not invited to participate in this by Ghorra).
As McCabe also rightly wrote- Quaglione went back on his word on collecting for all

    ReplyDelete
  78. When can we talk about Liam conspiring with Elyateem to file an OTB for the Working Families line?

    ReplyDelete
  79. RESPONSE: THE "NOT SO FAST" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 8:31 AM"

You are very deceptive in your attempt to use your "straw man" arguments to bootstrap your final pitch.

I never reported that Capano was part of any "... 'petition together' agreement...", however your conclusiory "... so no Capano representatives at the petition gathering" might be technically correct, there were certainly a couple of Capano supporters in the house.....

If you don't think so, then you don't know who the various GOP district leaders are really supporting. --- A fair share are with Capano.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Gale
Get your facts NO leaders are supporting Capano and noone of any significance is either..Q will win big time

    ReplyDelete
  81. RESPONSE: THE "WELL THEN..." EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 1:54 PM"

THEN THAT'S HOW YOU CAN SAY THAT NO CAPANO SUPPORTERS WERE AT THE BAY RIDGE MANOR ON JULY 12TH

    Bad premises mean bad conclusions.....

    ReplyDelete
  82. The Bay Ridge Manor is in Staten Island?

    ReplyDelete
  83. 11:20 needs to learn something about politics. Why would Liam want El yateem to take WFP from Justin? When Justin loses the democratic primary he'll get enough votes on WFP in November to put Liam over the top.

    ReplyDelete
  84. 4:36 has it right. Justin loses by 4% but Carroll wont even get 6%.

    ReplyDelete
  85. 4:36 PM, you'll just have to wait and see because the truth will come out soon. Liam conspired with Alyateem to hijack the Working Families Line. A little birdie at the Board of Elections told me. Robert Morgan, Sisto, the girl with the eyebrows from Manhattan.... they're all involved. Whole big scheme they cooked up and it will backfire because I don't see how Liam wins his Primary once the Republicans find out that apparently he also wants to run on the Working families Progressive line

    ReplyDelete
  86. thats a whole lotta shakin goin on

  87. Capano and McCabe need to get out now before they are completely embarrassed on Sept. 12
All rep district leaders are with Q

There is not a John Crews or Ed Seergy among them.

    ReplyDelete
  89. 555am you miss the point, mccabe and capano pretend district leaders are with them when they are with Q
    Fake news

    ReplyDelete
  90. 6:10, the district leaders can barely fog a mirror. Having them isn't much help.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Take a look out your window Bob. Staten Island is not Bay Ridge.

The Dems took control of Bay Ridge in the 80's. But I'm sure that will all change for you.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Without a doubt Bay Ridge will go republican. The Bronx also.

  93. RESPONSE & EDITORIAL: THE "I MIGHT NOT WRITE ANOTHER POST" EDITION

TO: THE NINETY OR THERE-ABOUT'S COMMENTERS ABOVE

YOUR OVERWHELMING RAT-A-TAT-TAT BACK AND FORTH ON THIS COMMENTS THREAD IS A TESTAMENT TO YOUR ..... [THIS, THAT OR THE OTHER]; AS A RESULT, I MIGHT NOT EVER WRITE ANOTHER POST FEATURE IF THIS KEEPS UP --- [DON'T WORRY, SPORTS FANS, I'M CERTAINLY KIDDING ! ! ! OR AM I ? ? ?]

This particular thread has turned into a real Rorschach Test for a variety of "anonymous" comment makers --- and even the "fake news," misinformation and disinformation contained therein makes for a treasure trove of insights into the various campaigns on this last weekend in July 2017.

The reason I say "anonymous" is that I do know immediately who some of you folks are. The others take a few key strokes, or more often one phone call, to cull the unnamed steer or wild bull out of the rest of the herd (btw, there have been plenty of steers and darn few "wild bulls").
