Two of former Brooklyn DA Hynes' scams with FBI & U.S. Attorneys are being defended in court by current Kings County DA Eric Gonzalez --- those two wrongful Brooklyn prosecutions have striking similarities with the very notable wrongful prosecution of two defendants for the murder of Malcolm X in 1965 [[[ PART 1 ]]] ***

 

This focus is on two currupt and phony cases cases brought by former Brooklyn DA Charles Hynes involving FBI scams to protect the guilty, and to frame a pair of innocent defendants in  >>>  People v Ronnie Wright (brought by Hynes as Brooklyn DA) & People v Joseph Fama ( "The Jusef Hawkins Case" prosecuted by DA Hynes, as Brooklyn DA successor to DA Elizabeth Holtzman) <<<  

Both cases presently are being being strongly defended by Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez against the two seperate and unrelated wrongly prosecuted defendants ---  in various stages of ongoing "actual innocence" proceedings brought by two seperate and unaffiliated legal representatives

These kinds of cases are nothing new in the sad history of corrupt and evil deals between various New York City area DAs, the NYPD, the FBI, and U.S. Attorneys in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.  ---   For example, less tha a year ago, two men exonerated in the killing of Malcolm X in 1965  >>> HAD THE CASES SETTLED <<< for their wrongful prosecutions and convictions in 1966 for $36 million in suits brought against the City and State of New York

Ronnie Wright and his lawyers: Kelly & Kerrigan and John Kennedy O'Hara have been conducting an "actual innocence trial" which is a trial where defendant has the burden to prove at a bench trial that the defendant Wright is actually innocent. 

Ronnie Wright had been convicted of committing a murder in  Brooklyn (((in 2007))), and he has already served 15 years of a forty year sentence.  During that whole time, the NYPD, the FBI, the Brooklyn DA's Office, and the NYS Unified Court System has had evidence in their joint and several possession(s) clearly indicating that the actual killer in the "Ronnie Wright case" was a person named Demetrius Williams.

In a very similar proceeding across the hall from the current iterration of the "Ronnie Wright case" was another case on the calendar to consider the actual innocese application by attorney Justin Bonus on behalf of a long-incarcerrated defendant named Joey Fama.....   Fama also was prosecuted and convicted by the office of DA Hynes for the murder of Yusef Hawkins in 1989.  Just like in the "Ronnie Wright case"  ---  Joey Fama had been convicted of committing a murder in  Brooklyn , and he has already served over 30 years of a 32-years-to-life sentence.  Also like in the "Ronnie Wright case"  ---  during that whole time, the NYPD, the FBI, the Brooklyn DA's Office, The U.S. Attorney's Office and the NYS Unified Court System has had evidence in their joint and several possession(s) clearly indicating that the actual killer in the "Yusef Hawkins case" was a person named Joey Serrano.

In both cases, the real killers were FBI informants and cooperating witnesses in important  prosecutions brought by U.S. Attorneys in unrelated major cases  ---  and in both cases, the actual criminal perpetrators  ---  both informants and cooperating witnesses  ---  needed to be protected from prosecution for the murders in the cases brought against the non-guilty defendants that were prosecuted and convicted instead  ---  Ronnie Wright and Joey Fama.

Another case involving the 1965 Malcom X assassination involved the Manhattan DA's office in an absolute miscarriage of justice in a very visible case was brought on many years ago well back in the Twenthieth Century by the long- but wrongly-revered Manhattan DA Frank Hogan, who was the Manhattan DA from 1942 until shortly before he died in 1974.  

By 1965 Malcom X, after his split from the Nation od Islam movement, and the recent conversion of his famous protégé Muhammad Ali, and his growing worldwide audience through his newly-formed Afro-American Unity movement, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover and then NYPD Commissioner Michael J. Murphy agreed that Malcolm X had to be silenced “by any means necessary.” His religious and political philosophy had evolved, and he was gaining broader public support and influence. On February 21, 1965, Malcolm X was shot and killed just as he was about to address a rally of the Organization of Afro-American Unity at the Audubon Ballroom in the Washington Heights section of Northern Manhattan.  Both NYPD Commissioner Murphy and FBI Director Hoover had undercover agents seeded in the Audubon Ballroom audience when Malcolm was murdered. FBI Director Hoover ordered his agents involved in the investigation to tell the undercover operatives not to disclose their identity with local law enforcement.  In addition, the NYPD had received intelligence from a local reporter that Malcolm would be assassinated during his speech at the Audubon ballroom, and failed to act on that information or warn Malcolm X's personal security of that information.

Three Nation of Islam members, Khalil Islam (aka Thomas 15X Johnson), Muhammad A. Aziz (aka Norman 3X Butler) and Mujahid Abdul Halim (aka Thalmage Hayer) were arrested, and later convicted of the Malcom X murder in March 1966, and they were sentenced to 20 years to life in the New York State penetentiary system for the assassination.  

In addition to NYPD Commissioner Murphy's and FBI Director Hoover's having undercover agents in the Audubon Ballroom audience when Malcolm X was murdered; the FBI and NYPD had irrefutable evidence that defendants Islam and Aziz were not involved within hours of the murder.  The FBI had documentation indicating that two other men, not Islam and Aziz, were the actual shooters of Malcolm X.  Furthermore, Manhattan District Attorney Frank S. Hogan deliberately withheld the exculpatory evidence in his possession that Islam and Aziz were not involved, despite the constitutional "Brady v. Maryland" requirement that such evidence be disclosed.

The recent financial settlement of civil cases by Aziz and Islam for $36 million came very shortly after the former convicted defendants Mohammad Aziz and the estate of Khalid Islam sued New York City on July 14, 2021 seeking $40 million for malicious prosecution, denial of due process rights and government misconduct; and then  in December 2021, Aziz and the estate of Khalil Islam also filed multimillion-dollar civil lawsuits aimed at New York state government.
