What this left wing grifter Bragg is now trying to pull is a terrible overreach by a prosecutor corrupted by false ideology --- he needs to be stopped by push back from our side using any and all lawful means.....
The U.S. Congress has the complete and absolute lawful authority to investigate any state or local governmental actor for any overreach or attempted overreach into the federal sphere of jurisdiction --- and fully explore Bragg's reasons for doing so with his personal Bragg v. Trump case --- to determine if any federal laws are impacted in any way --- and/or --- to determine if any of Bragg's actions are part of a larger conspiracy to overthrow the government of the United States.....
Congress can specifically look into questions arising from this Bragg v. Trump case >>> involving any possible violation of the legal doctrine of Federal Pre-emption to determine if any federal laws have been broken by Bragg --- or if new federal laws might be necessary to avoid any repeat of what is going on in this Bragg v Trump case by any local or state prosecutors in the State of Georgia, or any other state(s).....
BACKGROUND
To all those that don't know --- Alvin Bragg is a woke Democrat zealot, who took over the Manahattan DA's Office in January 2022, following his election as Manhattan DA in 2021.
Although Bragg's predecessor as Manhattan DA had indicted the Trump's family-owned company and its top financial executive over what has been described as a 15-year-tax fraud scheme. The prosecutor leading that probe as a former assistant DA, Mark Pomerantz, resigned in February 2022, after the incoming DA, Bragg, declined to charge Trump personally for those financial crimes.
Since then Mark Pomerantz has publicly criticized DA Bragg's decision not to bring charges against Trump personally; and he as even published a book about his investigation of Sonald Trump, done while he was in the Mahattan DA's Office before DA Bragg came onboard. Pomerantz has repeatedly expressed his judgment that the DA's potentially losing any case brought against Trump personally needed to be weighed against the very real possibility of "promoting disrespect for the law" by not bringing charges against Trump personally, when they were warranted.
Several observers have defended Bragg against Pomerantz's criticism. In addition, in his biggest trial victory thus far during his tenure as Manhattan DA, Bragg's office won a hallmark conviction of the Trump Organization on the tax fraud charges brought by Bragg's predecesor; and secured a guilty plea from Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Organization's former chief financial officer, who then testified against the Trump Organization at trial as part of that deal.
The potential BRAGG -v- TRUMP CASE
During a November 2020 interview, when he still was a very woke Soros-backed Democrat candidate running for Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg mentioned that among the "staggering" number of cases "swirling" around then-President Donald Trump at the time, a matter involving Trump's former so-called "fixer," Michael Cohen, stood out to Bragg. Bragg told the interviwer that, while he was a former New York State Deputy Attorney General clashing with Trump's company in civil suits, Bragg indicated he had been following the media coverage of Cohen's federal case very closely. During that 2020 interview, Bragg told the reporter that --- "You know, we haven't talked about Michael Cohen yet and the campaign finance part," However, Bragg stressed he would not "prejudge" any case until he saw the evidence; but clearly Bragg wanted the public to know that the Trump/ Cohen/ Campaign Finance matter was something that he wanted to pursue if and when he became the Manhattan DA.
Alvin Bragg was elected the the office of Manhattan DA in November 2021, inheriting the office's Trump investigation from his predecessor,. Early in his term, that investigation and prosecution was thrown into confusion when the two of the Manhattan DA's Office prosecutors leading the Trump probe resigned. In a copy of his resignation letter sent to The New York Times, former Special Assistant District Attorney Mark Pomerantz wrote that Bragg had "reached the decision not to go forward with the grand jury presentation and not to seek criminal charges at [that] time.... The investigation has been suspended indefinitely...." However, Bragg's office insisted the Trump probe remained active.
In August 2022, after his office secured a guilty plea from former Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg in the tax fraud case stemming from the original investigation; and then turning Weisselberg into the prosecution's star witness in the trial of two Trump Organization companies, the two companies were found guilty of 17 criminal counts related to tax fraud and other related matters on December 6, 2022.
By that time, investigators and ADAs in Bragg's office had returned to the Cohen/ Stormy Daniels payment. During the early months of 2023, a stream of former Trump employees and White House staffers were presented to a grand jury by Bragg's office. It has been widely reporter that they have been looking into the case of the Stormy Daniels/ Cohen/ Trump/ Federal Campaign Finances matters.
And now that everybody is talking about Manhattan DA Bragg's indicting the GOP frontrunner for the Presidency, Republicans in Congress want to take a very close look at all of this --- and ask Manhattan DA Bragg directly what he thinks he's doing, and what makes him think he can do it.
Too hissyfit; dr

ReplyDeleteNEWSFLASH: THE "WOW !!! WITHOUT EXPLANATION, MANHATTAN DA BRAGG TELLS THE 'TRUMP GRAND JURY' TO TAKE THE DAY OFF" EDITION
ReplyDeleteJust a little while ago it came out on NBC News NY that, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has told the members of the "Trump Grand Jury" to stay home Wednesday. So far, there has been no clarification from Bragg's office as to why that happened at this time.
The latest developments come only five days into the turmoil caused by Trump's on-line announcement to the world last week that he expected to be arrested; and what appeared to be his call to his supporters to "PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST" in New York City. Yesterday, cordons of fully equipped for trouble NYPD officers, special tactical units, Secret Service, and other Federal and NY State officers secured the perimeter of the Manhattan Criminal Court in advance of a possible indictment by Bragg's "Trump Grand Jury".....
UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "DETAILS OF WHO SAID WHAT" EDITION
ReplyDeleteCANCELLATION OF TODAY'S GRAND JURY SESSION WAS AT ABOUT 11:30 THIS MORNING
According to the first report of this stuff on the Business Insider site at 11:24 AM this morning >>> "The Manhattan 'hush-money' grand jury has been told not to come in on Wednesday, a cancellation that comes on the brink of a possible historic indictment vote of former President Donald Trump, according to two law enforcement officers.... And while nothing beyond Wednesday is set in stone, it is unlikely that the grand jury will meet at all this week, said one of the law enforcement sources, who spoke to Insider on condition of anonymity...." "what appeared to be his call to his supporters to 'PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST' in New York City"
ReplyDelete"Appeared to be"?
No, it's what he WROTE.
RESPONSE: THE "DON'T BE SO FAST AND LOOSE WITH OUR QUOTE AND/OR THOSE OF OUR MOST REVERED LEADER DONALD TRUMP" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 6:26 PM"
NO ! NO !!! NO !!!!! TRUMP NEVER DID WRITE OR SAY >>> "PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST IN NEW YORK CITY...."
--- SO, "... AT 6:26 PM" BUTTON-UP YOUR PIE HOLE.....
THERE WERE TWO QUOTES BY TRUMP ON SATURDAY INVOLVING THE WORD "PROTEST" >>> THE FIRST WAS THIS: “WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!” --- AND THE OTHER SAID THIS: ““IT’S TIME!!!”.... WE JUST CAN’T ALLOW THIS ANYMORE. THEY’RE KILLING OUR NATION AS WE SIT BACK & WATCH. WE MUST SAVE AMERICA! PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!”
Just as relevent as the Trump quotes above is the one that we made in the comment posted above that was partially quoted by you in your comment, Here's what we posted about what Trump had said: ".... The latest developments come only five days into the turmoil caused by Trump's on-line announcement to the world last week that he expected to be arrested; and what appeared to be his call to his supporters to 'PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST' in New York City...."
Clearly, you can see that Donald Trump never mentioned New York City in connection with any reference to protests whatsoever.
On the other hand, when we mentioned that he appeared to call for protests in New York City, that was wholely and completely our own conclusion --- and something that we considered to have been a fair interpretation of what Trump did say..... Get it ??? An interpretation; or, to put it another way, as it APPEARED to us.
"on-line announcement to the world"
ReplyDeleteGrandiosity on parade.
823, wherever he goes, he is on parade. Whatever he does, it is monumental. And whatever he says, it is consequential.
ReplyDeleteDonald J. Trump has been the greatest historical figure in the world for years; and he remains so today.
He must be restored as our national leader and leader of the free world to end the woke nightmare of life that is afflicting everybody in the USA and around the world.
Thankfully, he is apparently unstoppable.
1055, that's hilarious.
ReplyDeleteJustin is voting again to defund the police.
ReplyDeleteMore fake news from Ari Kagan, Brian Fox and Liam McCabe. There has been no voting to defund any aspect of the NYPD.
ReplyDeleteThe City Council is still in discussions about the Mayor's FY 2024 Preliminary (proposed) Budget, that totals $102.66 billion in overall NYC spending. That total reflects another drop in spending largely due to a decline of federal COVID-19 grant-related spending. The NYC Controller has pointed out that the Mayor's budget underallocates to many areas of necessary expenditures due to the influx of migrants.
The NYPD needs to take its fair share of budgetary medicine, and cops and their supporters need to stop crying like the babies in blue, which they seem to have become. In this cycle, it's become very clear that the NYPD budget is bloated by an excess overtime allotment. It's long past time to get control of the Big Blue Bloat of excess overtime, and the FY 2024 budget is a good place to start.
NYPD is being funded at 2019 levels, before all the riots and the bullcrap. Boss Brannan wins again
