One of Anna Belfiore-Delfaus' first steps as a 2023 candidate for City Council in the 47th Council District causes confusion

This was posted by Anna Belfiore-Delfaus on Facebook and Twitter:

On Facebook:  "Anna Belfiore-Delfaus for NYC City Council...  Wednesday, January 12, 2023...  Congressman Pete King on Sid and Friends speaking about my candidacy. Click below:  [w/ link to Peter King interview on Sid Rosenberg's "Sid and Friends in the Morning" program]...."

and

On Twitter:  "Anna Belfiore-Delfaus for NYC City Council...  @AnnaBD4NYC...  @RepPeteKing...  was on @77WABCradio this morning to discuss with @sidrosenberg about the #NYC #CityCouncil race for District 47 in #Brooklyn I appreciate the kind words and look forward to the future!"

However, one of her friends, allies and/or supporters  ---  or an unaffiliated mischief maker posted this on this independent GOP blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island:

"Anonymous said... WOW! Former U.S. Congressman Peter King and Councilwoman Inna Vernikov are both endorsing Anna Belfiore-Delfaus in the Republican Primary against Boss Brannan. Another BIG loss and REBUKE of Ari Kagan and Mike Ragusa....  January 12, 2023 at 2:24 PM...."

Prompting these responses:

"Anonymous said...  2;24, not so fast WHite Man!...  Your comment is based upon a conversation that former Congressman Peter King had on the ABC "Sid's Friends in the Morning." He spoke well about Anna, but absolutely did not endorse her. King also mentioned that he had met with Anna and Inna Vernikov over coffee and they all talked about Anna running for City Council in the 47th Council District....  Anna Belfiore-Delfaus has erroneously posted that she was "endorsed" by eitherInna Vernikov or Peter King. Obviously, she is very new to this. and she needs to learn fast or get out of the way fast....  January 12, 2023 at 3:49 PM...."

and this

"Anonymous said...  Congressman Peter King absolutely endorsed Anna Belfiore Dryfus on the Sid radio show yesterday. King also said Anna had been "shopping" for a seat to run for. Just what need, yet another candidate who isn't from the district ! The question begs, does Ted have ANYONE who lives here that can run ???  ...  January 12, 2023 at 5:10 PM...."

Now, ain't that a fine kettle of fish.....

  3. Putting in as many candidates as possible is the only way to get Ari Kagan to win a Republican primary. The teacher lady don’t even live here but she’s being put up to it by the Brooklyn conservatives party. Inna is close with Ari this is a scam.

Vito is gonna get in this race and so is Brian and Lucreature. I wish I was kidding. Ted and his cousin thinks there helping Ari by loading a crowded field one worse than the other but in the end Justin’s gonna look like the only sane one out of all them.

  4. I guess Ted forgot about Ranked Choice Voting. The old "crowd the field" trick doesn't work anymore

  5. One thing is clear. Bob will never run again.

  6. This is an off-off year primary and election. Who is going to do all this petitioning to get so many Republican candidates on the ballot?

A big primary battle for City Council is not going to happen unless somebody is lined up with somebody else who is getting ready to take over the Brooklyn GOP organization with enough petitioning for a full slate of State and County Committee candidates.

Who was behind the Peter King thing, and what's the Peter King thing all about with him saying he's still a Long Island guy over and over to Sid?

  7. One thing is clear. Liam emerged as the real victor.

  8. Anna, Ragusa, Avery are all chatter. When petitions need to be gathered the real players will emerge.

  9. Fat slob George ain’t never gonna be chairman the twinkies out of the bag cupcake. The GOP committee is only relevant to the rubes new at this and the BOE lifers. Anybody serious about running doesn’t care for help from Ted or wannabe teds

  11. I just logged on to say Avery's touching tribute to Lisa Marie Presley is what we need in a leader

  12. I'm waiting to see what Nick does. He is my leader.

  13. I guess Ted forgot THAT HE ELECTED MORE GOP'ers THAN ANY COUNTY CHAIR EVER. And Lester Chang was a great move.

  14. Ted elected nobody and almost everybody laughs at him. Teddy would try to take credit for Kathy Hochul win if he thought it would help him. After messing with the Young Republicans club Teddy was told to sit down and be quiet.

  15. Abbate spent $437,000 and lost

    Chang spent $11,000 and won.

    Ted is the GOP Godsend.

    TO WHOM IT MIGHT CONCERN.....

IT'S NOTHING SO TECHNICAL AS "BOTS" --- BUT THE MATERIAL IN THE COMMENTS IS ALL THREE-DOLLAR-BILL STUFF FROM ONE OR TWO CLOWNS

Don't fall for the seeming antagonism or raucus "debate" --- it ain't real.
