Do you know what this is called ???
It's called "Evidence" --- a word that should scare Nicole down to her ditties'n'galls.....
Why else would Nicole address an e-mail to herself about an article that her own people got placed in the NY Post ?????
Everybody knows that even a popular Brooklyn Democrat like Justin Brannan would be facing a very difficult uphill battle going against an incumbent Republican in Congress like Malliotakis, a Staten Islander whose district is mostly in Staten Island.
Just ask the likes of Sal Albanese and Vincent Gentile --- two popularly re-elected Democrat Councilmembers from many of the same areas in Brooklyn now represented by Justin Brannan.
Brannan seems to be very aware of all that; and he has said to the NY Post that he is not a candidate for the Congessional seat now held by Malliotakis --- even though he also hammered Nicole as a do-nothing member of congress, who could "... do [no] more than go on TV and wage culture wars...”.
In any case, Nicole has several things that she needs to worry about much more than any possible run by Justin Brannan. The first is what investigators might turn up in the sudden and unexplained death of one of Malliotakis' key Republican allies and supporters in Brooklyn, Brian Fox. Another of Malliotakis' key Brooklyn allies and supporters, Liam McCabe seems to be involved in the tangled-up last hours Mr. Fox; and possibly even the rapid decline of the man in the days and/or weeks leading up to his death. Many of the Brooklyn GOP types not as close to Fox as McCabe was were quick to mention drugs and very irregular income and financial dealings as likely contributing factors in Fox's death on the day after the 2023 election. The police have not yet mentioned any cause of death, and there has been little word about the tox screen and autopsy for the 34 year old who just up and died about three weeks ago.
No doubt, Nicole thought that she was buying her peace vis a vis Brian Fox when she wrote, “... Like so many others, I was both saddened and shocked to learn of the untimely passing of Brian Fox.... Brian was a great supporter of our NYPD and passionate about improving the quality of life for the families in southern Brooklyn. His advocacy and presence will be missed....” Nicole had to know virtually none of that was true. Worse than that, she had to know that her testimonial would be used by those trying to spike the Brian Fox story and head off any meaningful investigation of his death.
Nicole and Fox were together a lot between late 2020 and November of 2023 --- here are just a few shots of them together.....
Even if she can keep her part in the Brian Fox scandals buried, her second big problem will be in the person of Republican John Matland; and/or other Republicans ready to support him in both Staten Island and Brooklyn, or somebody taking the baton of his 2022 MAGA Republican opposition to Nicole directly from him and ready for another Brooklyn-Staten Island GOP primary race in 2024.
