Does the Brooklyn GOP seriously think that "Improve Don't Move" is a positive and hopeful message for Bensonhurst, Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights ???

When "neighborhood preservation" is an acceptable tactic, and not just some part of a  bigoted racist rant like "take back our neighborhood" or "make Bay Ridge 'White' again," then you know that things have already passed their tipping point vis a vis the racial, ethnic, social and political makeup of the area

That fact has been brought home by the current GOP-Conservative Party candidate for NY City Council for the 43rd Council District,  everything about whom seems to be a contrived amalgam of racial, ethnic, cultural, social, geographic, and economic backgrounds

If you look at all of Brian Fox's personal characteristics, including the way he dresses, he looks like he was made up by a committee of Bay Ridge bar-types from used items gathered at a Salvation Army Thrift Shop.

And that's what the Brooklyn Republican and Conservative Parties think is their best shot a getting out a vote in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bath Beach and Bensonhurst-Homecrest

The messaging that those behind Fox are pitching is no better than the candidate   ---   nothing but gloom and doom in the middle of a gloomy-doomy pandemic  ---  Just picture Brian Fox showing up at your front door to tell you that  >>>  "Things have never been this bad before;  but I'm here to tell you to 'Improve don't move...'  and you should start by getting a nice fleece vest just like mine" <<<

I'm sure that the people who saw Brian Fox at the feast on 18th Avenue were equally impressed by the look of the GOP-Conservative candidate for City Council, as they were with everything that he had to tell them about what was wrong with their neighborhood, and how he would be there to improve it for them.

  1. When I was listening to Biden's speech about the failed occupation all of a sudden Jimmy Carter seemed like the good old days.

  2. There aren't many good choices for the remaining Republicans in Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights. At the top of the list is moving out like most of their smarter Republican friends have done already.

  3. 2;27 is like most out of towners on this blog. Fox is the future so quit griping.

  4. 331, nobody is griping about anything.

If you really think that Fox is the future, then you're fine with everything the way it is, and the way it will certainly become.

At least you can hope that in 2022 your City Councilmember is also the Council Speaker, that should be a plus for the neighborhoods in the 43rd Council District.

  6. Hate to admit it but 5:16 is right. Boss Brannan becomes speaker it only means good things for our district. Fox wins, he will have an office in the basement and his desk in the hall way. There are only 2 Republicans in the Councel

  10. Brian Fox's website shows how clearly inept he is. The attention to detail - like this blog post that just stops mid-sentence - is absolutely embarrassing. http://brianfox4nyc.com/new-york-city-council-election-2021-district-43/new-york-city-deserves-better/

Brian will big a voice for you? Send Brian to City Hal? This is is CAMPAIGN WEBSITE, not a hastily written Facebook comment.

  19. I really don't know where Brian Fox is from, but with at least one person who left the area and posted an endorsement from Florida, Brian Fox is tops. With people who still live in Brooklyn I don't see much support.

  20. What about during covid when Brian was telling his friends he was "done with Bayridge and moving to the Poconos"
When will he address that one ?

  22. Fox is going to be the star for GOP like AOC.

  23. But the GOP doesn't need any stars that are anything like AOC. It needs stars willing to say they are in the proess of dismissing AOC with extreme prejudice.
