Fox tries to make hay about a "stabbing" during some serious back'n'forthing over pot smoking on the Fourth Avenue Local

 

Brian Fox all but called for the arrest of City Councilman Justin Brannan for his part in a kerfuffle started by some scumbag riding on the R-train that quickly escalated into some serious assaulting back-and-forth, culminating in a stab wound in the scumbag's head..... 

However, Fox didn't even bother to get the story straight  ---  he didn't even properly identify the real victim of this crime, because it suited the purpose of Fox's campaign of mistatements and misrepresentations not to do so

Meanwhile, a guy that Fox is glad to campaign with all over the 43rd Council District, Mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa, had his own "Defund the Police" proposal early in 2021 that would have greatly diminished the NYPD presence on the subways  ---  now, how does Brian Fox explain that away ???

People need to wise up to Brian Fox's uninformed and very superficial approach to crime and policing, which involves all the depth of knowledge that Liam McCabe can muster out of a Daily News or New York Post headline of the day.

More than a feud erupts between the two people that each think that they run the NYS Unified Court System

 
Both were part of former Governor Andrew Cuomo's Praetorian Guard  ---  but just like with the death of Stalin, all the members of the former inner circle are jockeying for pre-emminence in the new pecking order in NYS

Marty Golden's long-time friend and ally, Dennis Quirk, might have both bitten off more than he can chew, and just thrown himself overboard in one fell swoop ---  in his most recent tangle and dust-up with New York's Chief Judge Janet DiFiore 

"The head of the New York court officers union was suspended Friday for doxxing the state’s chief judge in a Facebook post amid an escalating dispute over mandatory COVID-19 vaccines....  The state Office of Court Administration filed internal disciplinary charges against New York State Court Officers Association President Dennis Quirk for sharing Chief Judge Janet DiFiore’s home address in Westchester and her holiday home in Southampton. The official charge was misconduct.... "              ---  NY Daily News

According to the report in the Daily News, Quirk suggested that demonstrations be held at the Chief Judge’s permanent and summer homes; and in addition he posted both addresses. In response, the OCA suspended and filed discilinary charges against the union leader who bargains for the Court Officers and many other titles thoughout the courts in New York State.

The suspension is another escalation in an ongoing dispute between the union president and the top judge over a COVID vaccine mandate for court staff.  

Dennis Quirk, who has been Marty Golden's chum since grammar school at OLA in Bay Ridge in the '50s & '60s, pulled no punches in describing how he felt about the CEO and COO of the New York State Court system  >>>  This is some of what Quirk told the Daily News.  “I only have one comment....  The chief judge of the state of New York, okay, Janet DiFiore, is the most corrupt and unethical judge in the history of the state of New York, okay?”  Quirk also stated that he would continue to work as the Court Officers' union president, which post he’s held for more than four decades.

In the space of less than three years, Quirk has lost two of his strongest personal and political supporters and allies, Marty Golden and Andrew Cuomo.

It's not yet over for "Governor" Andrew Cuomo in 2022-23; unless somebody else squeeks by him like one of his fellow Dems in the 2022 Primary, or Republican-Conservative Lee Zeldin from Long Island in the 2022 General Election

Some people suddenly think that Andrew Cuomo is going to fold his tent and go off quietly into the night  ---  especially since Governor Hochul annonced that New York State under-reported its total COVID-19 deaths by 12,000 souls  ---  but Andy Boy still has some tricks up his sleave, like turning right around and running again for NYS Govermor in 2022

Needless to say, Andrew Coumo pretty much has got to thread a needle for it to work.....  However, it's nonetheless possible

Republican-Conservative Lee Zeldin would also need to thread his own needle.....  And that too is somewhat possible

A long-time mostly-in/ for-Brooklyn Democrat wag pointed out to me that Kathy Hochul has no real shot, even as a technical "incumbent," because she won't have time to put all her own loyalists in place around NYS in time for the primary, and she is still a Democrat "upstater";  and the last real Democrat "upstater" to be elected Governor of New York was Grover Cleveland from Buffalo, when it was a very big city during another era. Nobody else from upstate New York in either party has really come close during the modern era, unleas you count Hyde Park, Pocantico Hills, or wherever Pataki was from, as "Upstate."  

However, that by itself isn't enough for Cuomo's outside shot to work in a Democrat primary  ---  Cuomo would also need a fourth candidate in the primary race in order for him to beat both of the Democrat women front-runners likely to be running, Kathy Hochul and Tish James. Luckily for Coumo, there is just such a fourth wheel for the Cuomo-mobile  ---  Jumaane Williams, who is both to the left of Letitia James and from her very own bailiwicks.

According to this full-time wag and sometime Dem cousultant, these are what he sees as the likely result of such a four-way Dem Primary among the early front-runners, if the contest were to be held any time soon (meaning somewhat sooner than the actual time of the 2022 Dem Primary, which in reality is already very soon).

His projected 2022 results for the Democratic Primary for Governor of NYS:
 
Cuomo                     39%
Tish James               28%
Jumaane Williams    21%
Kathy Hochul           12%

Nonetheless, Kathy Hochul can remain very relevant in any Democrat primary field.  If Hochul even gets to 20% in a Dem primary, then Cuomo's chances would be greatly reduced, and any surge by either Tish James or Jumaane Williams might well knock Chris's brother Andy off, once and for all. 
 
Now, if things do break for Cuomo in the 2022 Dem primary, then, of course there'd be the November election.....  And that's where things could get very interesting for somebody like Lee Zeldin.....  Of course, Zeldin would need to weather his own storm in a possible GOP primary against the likes of Rob Astorino, Andrew Giuliani and/or one or two others  ---  surely, for a Zeldin scenario to work in/for a November 2022 upset, he would need to be the winner of the Republican nomination, with or without a primary.

There are now only four (4) parties in NYS with permanent line status: the Democrats and Republicans, and the "third" party line Conservatives and the Working Families Party.  Right now, Tish James looks like a lock to get the WFP line; and Lee Zeldin pretty much has the inside track with the Conservatives ---  so the right outcome of both the GOP and the Dem primaries would be critical for both Cuomo and Zeldin.
 
Opposition to Coumo will remain strong throughout all of the 2022 election cycle, even if he were to be the winner of the Democrat primary, because Tish James would be likely to remain on the ballot as an active WFP candidate for governor.  As a result, in November 2022, if Lee Zeldin were to get a total of about 39-or-40%, combined on the Republican and Conservative party lines, he could very likely lead the field, and be the next Governor of New York State; and a November total closer to 44 or 45 percent for Zeldin would almost surely make him a lock as the next Governor of NYS. That's because strong races in November by Cuomo and Tish James would make the likelyhood of either garnering more than 39% or higher in the general election somewhat unlikely, and either Democrats' getting 44% or 45% would be a virtual impossibility.

Obviously, there are plenty "ifs," "ands," or "buts" in this story about the prospects for Cuomo and Zeldin in 2022, but stranger things have happened before; and these are very, very strange times.....

The out-of-ideas Brooklyn GOP has chosen a "non-white" candidate for City Council in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst to run on an out-of-step and out-of-date "pro-white," race-based and race-baiting campaign

What could possibly go wrong ?

Well, first you need to ask yourself:  "What could possibly be >>> RIGHT <<<  with such a race-based and race-baiting approach ???"

And then:  Why are the leaders of the Brooklyn Republican and Conservative Parties all willing to sign-off on that whole race-based and race-baiting approach in 2021 ?????

Let's start with a key fact that too many folks in Brooklyn with an interest in conservative ideas have ignored for too long  ---   reform and/ or progressive Democrats have been winning in local elections in the former Republican stronghold of Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, lower Bensonhurst, and Bath Beach for years.

Make no mistake, the one assembly district that tied all those neighborhoods together was once the GOP redoubt in Brooklyn (in the old days, it was the 49th AD of the GOP Seergy Club, and later the Arnaldo Ferrarro's GOP LaGuardia Club).  What had been the gold-standard Republican organization in Brooklyn was wiped out by years of internal warfare, first by Bob DiCarlo, until he got run out of town, but since then, by the likes of Repubican State Senator Marty Golden and once GOP District  Leader Clorinda Annarumo  >>> all making dirty deals with Democrat Member of the Assembly Peter Abbate, working together and sniping at the local LaGuardia Republican club and its candidates for well over a decade, culminating in virtually destroying the very existance of the "old 49th AD" in the reapportionment almost ten years ago. (Sometimes, justice is not swift, but in this case it was certain  ---  in 2018, Marty Golden's defeat at the hands of the Democrats was a direct result of his strategy to destroy the existing Republican organization within the boundaries of the "old 49th AD" and replace them with his so-called "Golden loyalists."

So, what does that have to do with stuff like  ---  "... let's make Bay Ridge 'WHITE' again..."  ---  and  ---  "... let's take back our neighborhoods..." ?  Well, that's all based on the assumptions by people like Marty Golden, and his key supporters inside the Brooklyn Republican and Conservative Parties, that places like Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bath Beach and Bensonhurst had reamined "our neighborhoods" and "white" years after they had become perceptably far more multi-racial, multi-cultural, and cosmopolitan than resonably would jibe with any of the older notions of "our [white] neighborhoods," whether Scandinavian, Italian, Greek, Syrian-Christian, or latter-day intermarried and/or multi-generational Irish-American.....

In other words, the Fox Team of "consultants" and advisors are using the shibbolths and cooky-cutter words and images that might have made some sense in the 1980s, but which have had a weaker and weaker cachet anywhere in Brooklyn with each succeeding decade.

If the Brooklyn GOP wants to regain any relevance whatsover, they need to stop, look, and listen to a lot of what independent Democrat activist-consultant Gary Tilser has had to say lately  ---  he has looked at all of this stuff very closely  ---  and in almost everyway, he is way ahead of any consultants and advisors working with the GOP nowadays.

Meanwhile, running a "non-white" candidate with a race-based "pro-white" message might work in some 80% white working class community here or there, but even then it would need subtle fine-tuning to have a chance of working. 

In the Brooklyn of 2021, running somebody like that wouldn't work anywhere, regardless of resources or fine-tuning  ---  in other words, Brian Fox was dead meat from the get-go.

 

Does the Brooklyn GOP seriously think that "Improve Don't Move" is a positive and hopeful message for Bensonhurst, Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights ???

 
When "neighborhood preservation" is an acceptable tactic, and not just some part of a  bigoted racist rant like "take back our neighborhood" or "make Bay Ridge 'White' again," then you know that things have already passed their tipping point vis a vis the racial, ethnic, social and political makeup of the area

That fact has been brought home by the current GOP-Conservative Party candidate for NY City Council for the 43rd Council District,  everything about whom seems to be a contrived amalgam of racial, ethnic, cultural, social, geographic, and economic backgrounds

If you look at all of Brian Fox's personal characteristics, including the way he dresses, he looks like he was made up by a committee of Bay Ridge bar-types from used items gathered at a Salvation Army Thrift Shop.  

And that's what the Brooklyn Republican and Conservative Parties think is their best shot a getting out a vote in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bath Beach and Bensonhurst-Homecrest  

The messaging that those behind Fox are pitching is no better than the candidate   ---   nothing but gloom and doom in the middle of a gloomy-doomy pandemic  ---  Just picture Brian Fox showing up at your front door to tell you that  >>>  "Things have never been this bad before;  but I'm here to tell you to 'Improve don't move...'  and you should start by getting a nice fleece vest just like mine" <<<

I'm sure that the people who saw Brian Fox at the feast on 18th Avenue were equally impressed by the look of the GOP-Conservative candidate for City Council, as they were with everything that he had to tell them about what was wrong with their neighborhood, and how he would be there to improve it for them.

Since Brian Fox keeps saying it, we have to ask --- Just, what does Brian mean when he says he wants to take back our neighborhood

 

When Brian Fox went to the meeting arranged by Chung Dick with:  the "China Press";  "Sing Tao Daily";  the "World Journal";  and others in the Chinese and Asian media markets that reach some of the of local residents in the City Council District where Brian Fox is running >>> did Brian tell them that one of the main reasons that he's running is to "... take back our neighborhood..." --- AND IF NOT --- Why not ???

When a Republican-Conservative candidate, like Brian Fox, is running in a place like Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst, and  says in a speech that he wants to "... take back our neighborhood..." he knows very well that such a statment has a very special meaning to the "White People" that are still living there   >>>  that is why, when Brian is speaking to Asians or Haitians, or Latinos or Arabs, we need to know if he is saying the same thing to them.....  Because, if he is, then he really needs to explain what the heck he is talking about using such incendiary race-based rhetoric

This all brings us back to the very basic questions about Brian Fox himself.  Just, who is he; what is he; and where does he come from ?????

One look at him will tell you that he sure ain't "White"  ---  or certainly that he wasn't "assigned 'White' at birth"..... 

I've heard different opinions from his supporters and opponents  ---  several said he was "Black";  several others said "Arab"; and some even thought possibly Latino.  The name Brian Fox sure looks and sounds Irish. The scrubbed Facebook pages and expunged personal history of Brian Fox strongly suggest a possible Jewish family background.  

Boy, that sure is a lot of bases, and Brian Fox can't be standing on all of them at the same time.

So why is any of that important ?   Well, I'll tell you, Alice.....

When somebody like a Brian Fox, whoever and whatever he might be, is running for public office, we need to know exactly what he means when he says something like,  the reason that he's running is to "... take back our neighborhood..." As in >>> who is the "our"; and who are we "...tak[ing]our neighborhood..." "... back..." from ???

Maybe, that's too subtle for some of you Conservatives and Republicans out there. So let's make it clearer, or certainly starker: if, for example, Brian Fox were to use the "N"-word --- would he be using the "N"-word in the way most "White" young men of Brian's age would likely be using it --- OR --- would he be using it the way most "Black" young men of Brian's age would likely be using it ?????

So, let's get this "straight"..... Brian Fox's fund raiser is featuring Arielle Scarcella

Former POTUS Donald Trump would very much like to  know who shot Ashli Babbitt, a Capitol Hill demonstrator, who was summarily executed inside our country's best known public building by a Capitol Hill Police Officer on January 6th 2021

 

There is a very important report on a very special case  coming out of the January 6th Capitol Hill Citizens' Demonstration Against and Confrontation With the Tyrannical Rulers of the USA and their ball-less allies in congress ---  like Nicole Malliotakis

John Sullivan, the man who got the historic video footage of Ashli Babbit's execution at the hands of the U.S. govenment, very much wants to know if he’s going to be categorized as a criminal for having videotaped the shooting and publishing it to the world

John Sullivan is a self-proclaimed "activist" and "journalist"; he videoed Ashli Babbitt’s death at the U.S. Capitol in Washington on January 6, 2021; and he is now facing federal criminal charges for capturing a moment that is as momentous as the pre-revolutionary-war "Boston Massacre" of 1770  ---  and is its Twenty-first Century equivalent.....  

Admittedly, John Sullivan was in the middle of several "protests" and/ or "riots" throughout the United States, throughout the summer and fall of 2020. He was also present at the so-called "Capitol Insurrection" of January 6th 2021.  

However, unlike most of the demonstrators in Washington, D.C., on January Sixth, Mr. Sullivan says that he absolutely wasn’t in the nation's capital on that day to show any support for President Donald Trump in any way.  He also claims that he wasn’t there as an agitator or agent provocateur, either.  Instead, John Sullivan is a self-proclaimed “activist-slash-journalist” that, according to his own YouTube "channel" captured extensive footage from the Capital Hill events of January 6th, and other things that happened   ---  he recorded a total of 39 minutes of video and sound both inside and outside of the Capitol on that day.  

Now, he is calling out to the world that he is facing several federal charges stemming from his alleged role in the so-called Capitol riot and insurrection  ---  including among other things:  civil disorder; unlawful entry of restricted areas; and obstruction of an official proceeding.....

Since the events of January 6th, some of President Trump's allies, in particular Rudy Giuliani, have pointed at John Sullivan as an indication that ANTIFA and/ or other left-wing activists spearheaded the violence at the Capitol  ---  and not Trump supporters.

The U.S. Department of Justice says that there is probable cause to charge John Sullivan, because many of his actions on January 6th were illegal  ---  on the other hand, Sulivan denies all the formal charges, and any other wrongdoing connected with either those charges or any of the events of January 6th.

SO FAR, ALL THAT WE HAVE GOTTEN BACK FROM BRIAN FOX AND HIS HANDLERS WERE SOME VEILED THREATS ABOUT LAWSUITS  ---  WHAT WE DIDN'T GET WAS ANYTHING THAT LOOKED EVEN CLOSE TO A DENIAL, AN EXCUSE, AN EXPLANATION, OR EVEN A STATEMENT THAT WHATEVER BRIAN FOX DID WAS HARMLESS AND INCONSEQUENTIAL, AND EVEN IF WAS MORE THAN THAT, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN CONSENSUAL AT THE TIME IT HAPPENED 

Never forget that Brian Fox is the guy who has tried to wipe-out and BleachBit his personal history and social media footprints. 

Nonetheless, researchers have found that Fox is a guy with a testosterone-soaked personal history of high school varsity hijinks; semi-pro hockey road trips with a variety of hockey groupies; all those Wall Street parties for high-roller "killer" sharks in their chalk-striped suits, where the blow and other entertainments were never that far away for the real "killers" in the pits and on the street; as well as those "entrepreneurial" tuxedo-cigar'n'booze-bashes for those "be your own boss" types, like Brian Fox, doing their high-end techie recruiting gig. 

Also don't forget that Brian Fox bragged that he was so very good at all that kind of stuff, right up to and including at the start of his present campaign for City Council  --- it was part of an earlier version of his official biography and CV.

Republicans have lots of questions and want to know --- WHY DID BRIAN FOX NOT VOTE TO RE-ELECT PRESIDENT TRUMP IN 2020 ?

WAS IT ALWAYS THE PLAN  >>>  FOR BRIAN FOX TO BE NEWLY ENROLLED AS A REPUBLICAN IN 2020 IN ORDER TO BE A "NEVER TRUMP" REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE IN 2021 ???

There is just so much that we don't know about our so-called "Republican-Conservative" candidate for New York City Council for the 43rd Council District,  Brian Fox.....

However, this  much we do know:  Brian Fox's current registration on file with the NYC Board of Elections, shows that his voter registration and Republican Party enrollment were filed in August 2020,  but it also shows that Brian Fox did not vote in the Presidential Election in 2020.....

Brian Fox has never explained why he ducked voting for President Trump in 2020 when he had so many chances to do so due to the loose COVID-19 voting rules in NYC/NYS ?????

As the candidate selected by the Brooklyn GOP to run against Justin Brannan, Fox owes it to his fellow Republicans to tell the truth about who he is , where he came from, and what he believes in.....  A very important question that he has never answered was why he didn't vote to re-elect President Trump in 2020.  After that question is another Trump-related question for Brian Fox  >>> DID BRIAN FOX EVER VOTE FOR DONALD TRUMP IN 2016 OR 2020 ???   AND IF NOT, WHY NOT ?????     

However, if Brian Fox were to tell everybody that he did vote for Donald Trump in either 2016 and/or 2020  ---  WHERE AND HOW DID HE DO SO ???????

Brian Fox still largely remains a mystery man, who campaigns in clothes that are oddly tailored, don't fit, and actually all look like they've been borrowed from somebody else's wardrobe, or come from The Salvation Army Store or from some Goodwill operation for people trying to find a job. More important than that, Republicans need to know if Brian Fox's personal political history and beliefs fit his being the 2021 Republican-Conservative candidate for NYC Council against the progressive, reformist Democrat Justin Brannan.....

The biggest problem is with the current crop of Brooklyn GOP "activists"  ---  or more accurately "in-activists"  ---  most are holdovers that actually remember happier days  ---  in other words they are quite old, most are feeble and/or feeble-minded  ---  even the "new blood" types have been in so many losing campaigns that they too seem to have developed an addiction to losing, and a comfort with losing tactics, strategies, alliances and consultants.....

In addition, very few local Republican activists and candidates are able to articulate anything but the most superficial shibboleths, often dictated by the likes of Conservative Party capos Jerry Kassar and Fran Vella-Marrone  ---   and given those facts alone, how can any of them even pretend to be Republican "activists" and "leaders" ???

Also, a hallmark of the current crew of Republican "activists" and "leaders" in Brooklyn is that they would rather fight with each other than their Democrat counterparts;  most of the Republicans we're talking about don't even communicate with each other, because their animus and hatred one for the other is do deep-seated

For the second year in a row, the Brooklyn GOP has run a completely unvetted, unqualified and unworthy candidate in the only sliver of Brooklyn where the GOP might have been competitive.....  That largely is the fault of Brooklyn GOP County Chairman Ted Ghorra  ---  but he had several self-serving accomplices in those two follies.

One can find easy proof of how the Brooklyn GOP has lost its way  ---  both the Democrat candidate for mayor (and odds-on favorite to win election in November)  and the Democrat City Council candidate running for election in the 48th Council District  (also odds-on favorite to win election in November) were former active Brooklyn Republicans.....

Ghorra's tenure has had none of the successes of several of the Brooklyn GOP County Leaders that immediately preceded him.  Nonetheless, nobody is apparently ready, willing and able to unseat the impotent bastard. Nonetheless, Ghorra has to show that he still can learn; and with the right potions and pills, on his good days he might find some lead for his pencil. 

When Brian Fox says that he is "supporting" Curtis Sliwa for mayor what exactly does he mean ???

As another great GOP blogger used to ask when stuff like this provocatively popped up   ---   "The Question Begs..."  ---  What level and degree of support does Brian Fox intend to give to Curtis Sliwa ?  ---  Will it rise to the level of an endorsement ???  ---  Will it happen anytime soon ?????

Are Jerry Kassar and Fran Vella-Marrone, and the Kings County Conservative Party okay with this open and notorious smoochy-smoochy with Curtis Sliwa in Bay Ridge  ---  while Bill Pepitone, the Conservative Party Candidate for Mayor of the City of New York, waits around for sweaty, sloppy seconds from Brian of the zippered fleece on a hot summer night.....
