Just sayin' --- what's in a name --- a "rundell" often refers to something that is "fat and round" --- other times it means something cryptic

Needless to say, we don't want to be accused of "bigotry and hatred";  you know racism and all that jazz.....

Neither do we want to be accused of propagating a paternalistic hierarchy in our  emergent Twenty-first Century culture.....

So, on this Mothers Day 2021, let's take a look at moms  ---  actually, one mom in particular....

In a slightly different cultural context,  we might be calling Brian Fox  >>>  "Brian Rundell-Fox" or "Brian Fox-Rundell"

So why no shout-out to mom on Mothers Day ?????

Shakespeare once wrote this about names:

"...  'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet
;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name which is no part of thee..."

To which Shakespeare had Romeo reply thus:

"...  Call me but love, and I'll be new baptized
Henceforth I never will be Romeo..."
However, contemporary Brooklyn politics the way it's being played by Brian Fox and his team, I think, has carried that all too far.  ---   Shakespeare never intended for it to apply to moms.....

Elinor Rundell Fox must be a wonderful mom.  Until very recently, she was content being known as Elinor Rundell;  but budda-bing-budda-boom, now everything is "Elinor Rundell Fox."  Just why do you think that is ?????  One can only guess.....

ET CALL HOME.....

Brian, make sure to call your mother on Mothers Day;  and tell her,  "Thank you, Mom, for everything."

  1. UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "DAY AFTER MOTHERS DAY" EDITION

IF YOU LOOKED AT THE "BRIAN FOX FOR CITY COUNCIL" SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES, YOU WOULD HARDLY KNOW THAT YESTERDAY WAS MOTHERS DAY >>> OR THAT BRIAN FOX EVEN HAD A MOTHER.....

INSTEAD, BRIAN FOX USED MOTHERS DAY FOR AN OPPORTUNITY TO COME UP WITH SOME REALLY STRANGE STUFF ABOUT WHAT THE TIMES SQUARE SHOOTER WOULD DO IF HE WERE FROM BAY RIDGE

Sadly, that's what the Republican-Conservative candidate, who's been foisted on the Brooklyn GOP, and his crack campaign staff would rather have on his campaign site on Mothers Day. Nothing upbeat about real things in our lives like our moms, or even his own mom, but something really negative about something that isn't real at all >>> a made up Times Square shooter from Bay Ridge.....

More than ever, these questions need to asked >>> AND ANSWERED <<<

    WHO IS BRIAN FOX ?

WHERE IS HE REALLY FROM ???

WHAT'S HE REALLY UP TO ?????

    AND

    >>> WHY IN THE WORLD <<< IS HE THE REPUBLICAN-CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE FOR THE 43RD COUNCIL DISTRICT ?????????????????????????????????????????

  2. 1129, if it wasn't for bad visuals and bad messaging, the Brian I Ox campaign would have no visuals or messaging

  3. Brian Fox lives in Bay Ridge. Do you?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Absolutely! You would ask only if where one comes from really does matter. So, where does Brian Fox really come from, who raised him, where and how?

  5. Let's talk about the blind leading the blind. Ghorra playing the Arab card for the first time in his life. What a bunch of clowns!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Is Ghorra really an Arab? If so, what difference could it possibly make, Conservative Party Chairman Kassar has been a well known Arab-American here in South West Brooklyn for years, and years before that there were such big name Republicans as Ed Seergy and Ray Maccaba that were also well known Arab-Americans.

  7. Suddenly, it's obvious why Ted Ghorra suddenly realized that he has Arab roots. There is a big expose article coming out in the Brooklyn Paper charging that the Brooklyn GOP lacks diversity and is actively racist. The article quotes many current and former GOP candidates and leaders who consider themselves members of various minority communities and discriminated against by the current GOP leadership team led by Ted Ghorra and others like Ray Riley and Steve Maresca.

  9. I was sitting on my porch around 7 and representative Fox greeted me. Knows the community well.

  10. And where was your porch, in West Windsor or Plainsboro, New Jersey, or maybe East Meadow, Long Island? Or maybe 'representative Fox' was checkin' out your town in the Poconos for when he moves there after November.

THE ANTI-TED GHORRA, ANTI-BROOKLYN GOP COMMENT "... AT 10:08 PM" WAS DELETED BECAUSE IT GAVE US HERE AT THIS BLOG A "BOB CAPANO VIBE"

If any mistake might have been made with this comment, it certainly wasn't by us here on this blog.....

  13. DELETION NOTE: THE "BOB CAPANO PLUS CURTIS SLIWA PLUS A BIG MEATBALL" EDITION

TO: THE DELETED COMMENTER FORMERLY KNOWN AS: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 6:25 AM"

MOST OF WHAT WE SAW IN THE GEEK SHOW AT CITY HALL THE OTHER DAY ADDED-UP-TO THREE BIG MEATBALLS

When was the last time that somebody wearing a silly red hat and serving a monster-sized meatball was elected mayor ???

Or, even better, when was the last time that playing the Italian-American race card worked ?????

Next time, instead of that ridiculous red beret, Capano should have Sliwa try wearing a turban or whatever else Brooklyn GOP Provisional[-and-no-longer elected] Chairman Ted Ghorra wears on his head when he's trying to play the Arab or Sikh, whatever other kind of race card he's trying to play >>> in order to get out from under the now-widely-published charges of racism and lack of diversity inside the Brooklyn GOP [that this week specifically mentioned Ghorra, Riley and Maresca].

If it were up to us here on this blog, we would have all the Brooklyn GOP-endorsed candidates in the elections of 2021 in "...old New Amsterdam" wear the Fez in homage to their empirical ruler, Effendy Jerry Kassar. AND JUST REMEMBER THIS --- WHEN ONE WEARS THE FEZ, "... IT AIN'T NOBODY'S BUSINESS BUT THE TURKS...."

  14. The Brooklyn GOP is suffering a four-year hangover from the 2017 primary election, and the subsequent 'end of the road' election loss in November 2017. In 2021, we have the spectacle of the Brooklyn GOP letting Bob Capano, Liam McCabe and John Quaglione, each in their own way, trying to show the world all that they know about messaging. What more needs to be said? They must have been mentored by somebody that hasn't changed his message in almost fifty years, who is now staying in his position of power by deals with the Dems.

  19. Bob Capano and Curtis Sliwa lose ground every time they get their Chuck Barris-"Gong Show"-type coverage, that HAHAHAHA Beer Can Bob thinks is so great.
Meanwhile, Democrats like Eric Adams and Justin Brannan got a real boost from the New York Post Editorial Board in today's papers.

BOB IS RIGHT ABOUT SOMETHING >>> HE AIN'T GETTIN' NO LUVVIN HERE.....

BOB CAN'T HELP BUT PREEN AND QVELL ABOUT SLIWA'S DELIVERING HIS BIG MEATBALL TO CITY HALL --- BOB THINKS THAT SHOWS HE'S BETTER AT DOING THIS KIND OF STUFF FOR SLIWA, THAN WHATEVER LIAM AMBROSE MCACABE IS DOING FOR MATEO..... WOW !!! AIN'T THAT A BIG SCOOP OF HOT BEANS !!!!!

I think Peggy Lee said it best when she sang, "... If that's all there is my friend then let's keep dancing....."

  24. Sliwa is going to win the primary because Mateo got fooled by a team of useless consultants who just hosed him for the money and ran. Same thing happened to Tirschwell only with her it was so bad she didn’t make it for the ballot. The meatball stunt is so embarrassing so amateurish and bizarre that no one should want to admit having any role in the Sliwa campaign. Probably why he only got five people last night to show up at Delias Lounge.

  28. UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "LIZ CHENEY" EDITION

I REMEMBER WHEN "THE LEFT" THOUGHT THAT ALL THINGS CHENEY WERE FROM SOMEPLACE DEEP IN DANTE'S "INFERNO" OR NEFARIOUS CHARACTERS OUT OF MILTON'S "PARADISE LOST".....

NOW, THERE'S GOING TO BE WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH, AND RENDING OF GARMENTS OVER LIZ CHENEY'S EJECTION FROM HER GOP HOUSE POST OF CHAIRMAN OF THE REPUBLICAN CONFERENCE BY LEFTISTS THAT HAVE NO LEGITIMATE INTEREST IN THE WORKINGS OF THE GOP AND/OR HOW IT CONDUCTS ITS AFFAIRS

Forget about any of the nonsense related to Liz Cheney's always having been a true conservative Republican, the issue is her doctrinaire "Never-Trump" stance, which bespeaks all the Cheneys' being first and foremost Washington, D.C., insider swamp creatures.....
