Just sayin' --- what's in a name --- a "rundell" often refers to something that is "fat and round" --- other times it means something cryptic

Needless to say, we don't want to be accused of "bigotry and hatred";  you know racism and all that jazz.....

Neither do we want to be accused of propagating a paternalistic hierarchy in our  emergent Twenty-first Century culture.....

So, on this Mothers Day 2021, let's take a look at moms  ---  actually, one mom in particular....

In a slightly different cultural context,  we might be calling Brian Fox  >>>  "Brian Rundell-Fox" or "Brian Fox-Rundell"

So why no shout-out to mom on Mothers Day ?????

Shakespeare once wrote this about names:

"...  'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;

And for that name which is no part of thee..."

To which Shakespeare had Romeo reply thus:

"...  Call me but love, and I'll be new baptized

Henceforth I never will be Romeo..."

However, contemporary Brooklyn politics the way it's being played by Brian Fox and his team, I think, has carried that all too far.  ---   Shakespeare never intended for it to apply to moms..... Elinor Rundell Fox must be a wonderful mom.  Until very recently, she was content being known as Elinor Rundell;  but budda-bing-budda-boom, now everything is "Elinor Rundell Fox."  Just why do you think that is ?????  One can only guess..... ET CALL HOME..... Brian, make sure to call your mother on Mothers Day;  and tell her,  "Thank you, Mom, for everything."
