Okay, it's time for a "Revival" of that great show and floating big-tent mission --- the 2017 GOP Primary

Now, it's time for those grand old men of the Grand Old Party to take their minstrel show back into the hustings  of Southwest Brooklyn  ---  and do reruns of their fabled 2017 races for the City Council

So quick,  print up those petitions for the GOP line for the State Senate, it'll be "The Greatest Show on Earth"  ---  Don't forget Phineus Taylor Barnum was an elected Republican state legislator as well as a great showman

Both Bob Capano and Liam McCabe appear to be fully rehabbed and well rested  ---  Liam from all his demons and Bob from his search for intimacy in the context of a third party affair with Curtis of the funny red hats  ---  and don't forget Johnny "Q,"  that PR showman,  fresh off his most recent stint as barker for the Nicky Mars Show

Come on guys, the Brooklyn Republican Party needs to see and hear from you guys doing your greatest hits of 2017, and whatever new song and dance numbers you've been working on these last three years.  (It's hard to believe how the time has gone by so fast !!!)

Who knows, maybe there will even be room enough for Vito Bruno to strut his stuff  ---  after all, after dark, he is already a showman on a monumental scale,  with ALL that it entails  ---  remember this great hit  "...  it's all about bi-sexuality...".

  2. I see Artie Aidala in the news everyday helping Harvey Weinstein with his walker. Artie really knows how to handle that walker. Hes got a future at shore hill.

  3. Liam has an announcement at the end of this month that will change the GOP as we know it.

    ReplyDelete
  4. But it was fun for the whole family, and it did John Quaglione absolutely no good going forward against Justin Brannan, which some Republicans think was a good thing.

  5. Thank You Justin. Now back to that personal trainer side business.

  6. I'm not Justin; and I'm not Ray Denaro, because '... (I don't blog anonymously)'.

    I'm Spartacus!

  7. Yea Justin seriously go back to trolling constituents on Twitter and Facebook. Not sure if it's the one day of the week you put an effort into pretending you do anything constructive but whenever you post it's so obvious.

  8. I recall much earlier comment about Amy Klobuchar having a breakout moment. Very clever.

  9. Q believes that 'if it bleeds, it leads'. Republican leader and paid PR guy John Quaglione is willing to make Bay Ridge look like the graffiti and crime capital of the world in order to score cheap political points on issues like bail reform.

If you want an almost daily dose of bad news about Bay Ridge, just go to Bad News John's Facebook page.

  11. 2017 was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief that Q would never fetch Marty a cup of coffee without his cream & splenda. It was the epoch of incredulity that all the aisles in the market would have no spills and the vegetables were sprayed with cool water.

  12. 1043, why do I have to keep repeating myself?

Let me quote myself, because I said it so well the first time: "I'm not Justin; and I'm not Ray Denaro, because '... (I don't blog anonymously)'.... I'm Spartacus!"

  13. Liams announcement previously scheduled for Feb 26 has been changed. Feb 26th is a Holy Day of obligation. Liams event will be the first week of March.

    ReplyDelete
  14. When it comes to Liam's announcement(s), it's just another "Groundhog Day" day in another "Groundhog Day" week.

    Any day, now, any day!

    ReplyDelete
  15. If Liam has other more pressing obligations, he shouldn't be in politics.

    ReplyDelete
  16. What evidence is there that Liam has been in politics in any meaningful way since 2017?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Liam is running the State GOP. Instead of running operations from Manhattan Brooklyn is the new downstate GOP headquarters. The GOP-Con lines for the senate are his.

    ReplyDelete
  18. What evidence is there that any of that is remotely true here on planet earth?

Even Christine knows that none of that fits Liam's set of skills, much less his inclinations not to do demanding work of any sort.

However, don't despair because Liam doesn't measure up to Bob Capano (that combination of Paul Bunyan, Mark Twain and Daniel Webster); on his worst days (and LIam surely still has lots of those), Liam is light years ahead of JQ.

  19. So far, Liam is still talking about photo ops with Nicole, who had to take a boat to "Survivor Island" where Liam is living on coconuts and lizards, and bottles of some kinda salty yellow liquid air-dropped in by Joey Salads.

  20. Time for everybody to put up or shut up. After the nasty and very public shouting match between Liam and Ted at the county meeting this week the lines are clearly drawn. Ted won’t last much longer being scolded like a wayward school child every time Liam needs to vent.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Bob is more like Chris Farley and John Candy all rolled into one.

    ReplyDelete
  22. 1024, you say it was Ted getting scolded like a wayward school child, but others think it was Liam acting like an asshole.

FYI, it's not a good idea to remind people about how Liam acts toward somebody he thinks is a wayward school child.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bottom line is Liam showed he's in control. All of Ted's "supporters" in the room and Liam loudly lecturing Ted and reminding him who made him chairman and everyone in the room was quiet as a mouse.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Just like last time Liam had a public outburst at a Brooklyn GOP meeting. The did it again..people see more clearly the loose cannon he still is..

  25. Ooooh. Tell us all about the shouting match! And the scolding!

    ReplyDelete
  26. By default I hear the Rep and Con are leaving toward Capano for the senate seat??

    ReplyDelete
  27. Really? I mean, REALLY!

As in get real, this current GOP, Capano? Not likely.

Besides, I heard Bobby C has bigger fish to fry than an uphill fight against Andy Boy.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Justin Brannan is a bigger fish, but to paraphrase the sheriff in 'Jaws', 'I think we'll need a bigger frying pan.'

    ReplyDelete
  29. Big Fish Justin is not. Sperm Whale is the biggest Whale with teeth.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The only thing leaning towards Bob are the canned goods he stacked to high.

    ReplyDelete
  31. By default? Brooklyn GOP has been done with Bob Capano for a long time and a lot of the new people in the party don’t even know who he is and the rest just don’t care.

  33. THIS JUST IN: THE "SO MUCH FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH YOU CAN SMELL THE HORSE'S BREATH" EDITION

IT SEEMS THAT MARKO, LIAM AND JQ WERE LIKE THREE CHEEKS OF THE SAME ASS WHEN THEY GOT INTO TED OF THE BAD TOUPEE'S FACE EARLIER THIS WEEK.....

I am hearing that there's a major rift brewing within what's left of the Brooklyn GOP after a joint committee of Executive Committee members endorsed Michael Tannousis over Marko Kepi.

Here's the latest problem to pop up for the Grand Old Party in Brooklyn; and of course, it involves that broken down old man Marty Golden's not getting along with another elected Kings County GOP County Chairman. It seems that Marty and his gunsels are the only ones supporting Marko to run for Nicole's Assembly seat, and Ted's loyalists are supporting "Toonces the Driving Cat"; and it all came out at a recent formal meeting to endorse a candidate to try to succeed Nicole representing the two county Assembly District in Brooklyn and Staten Island.

AND >>> Yes, there were also some fireworks during one of the closed-door candidate endorsement interviews >>> meaning the one with Marko. Marko and the other Marty-ites were quick to make things personal. Get this, they accused Ted and a couple of others people of not being loyal to >>> Marty <<<

For comic relief, Marko brought Michael Grimm with him into the endorsement interview. Outsiders weren't allowed in the meeting but no one had the balls to kick the convicted felon Grimm out on his ass, so Grimm sat there the whole time while Marko prematurely shot his load and started screaming at people about their DISLOYALTY to Marty.

When it came to a vote, it looks like the only district leaders that voted to endorse Marko Kepi were Quaglione and Liam, and everybody else voted to endorse Toonces the Driving Cat.

Since "DISLOYALTY TO MARTY" is now the Brooklyn GOP litmus test, we know where Liam and JQ stand, but what about Bob Capano ?

    Scary stuff, kids.....

    ReplyDelete
  34. GM here is some info on what really went down at the meeting. Liam and Ted shouting match had nothing to do with Marko but was about Ted not putting Liam’s mother in law to executive committee. Liam lost room to because of his obnoxious behavior. Everybody know Liam tried to take Ted down at reorg and failed so why’d Ted reward him for it? Make no sense. Everybody giggling in front him when he asking why. John Q wasn’t at meeting neither was Capano. Marko was good and Tannousis puts everybody to sleep. But Marko shot himself in the foot when he got into argument with vice chair say her mom conspired against Marty. Then Michael Grimm and Marko got in loud exchange with the Nicoeles staffer. After that Marko accused almost everybody of a big conspiracy against him and started another argument with some other people. Even though Tannousis really boring during his interview almost nobody voted for Marko.

    ReplyDelete
  35. with that thing on his head Ted should join the racoon lodge

    ReplyDelete
  36. Marko's a loon better suited for leadership of the KLA than Brooklyn, but fact is that he's raised a staggering amount of money. It looks like Gjonaj gave him his Rolodex

  37. RESPONSE: THE "POV" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 7:12 PM"

IF YOU WOULD HAVE E-MAILED YOUR VERSION OF THE BROOKLYN GOP FIREWORKS FIRST, I WOULD HAVE LARGELY GONE WITH YOUR VERSION, I SUPPOSE --- AND MY OTHER SOURCE'S VERSION WOULD HAVE LOOKED THE WAY YOURS NOW DOES

In any case, let the public see as many versions as possible, and then they can decide what they think was going on at a meeting that they didn't get a chance to attend.

    ReplyDelete
  38. 712 makes sense
Of course Liam was fighting for his mother in law to be on the Exec Committee- he has to do something to earn his keep for living on her futon...it is an open joke among Exec Committee that this guy lives with her, his rehab stints, the arrests, the drunkard actions like pissing on carpets and shitting in cabs..there are facts and he and christine wonder why people not falling in line for him running for senate..

Its ABL - ANYONE BUT LIAM

    ReplyDelete
  39. Liam came in screaming about his mother in law being dropped from the county committee last year. Liam sleeps on her couch and eats from her refrigerator so he really didn't have a choice but to defend her honor even though she had been removed from the rolls 6 months ago. I suppose Liam's mother in law just realized it

    ReplyDelete
  40. Looks like Capano, who last week joined a very public event where Curtis Sliwa announced he has become a Republican, is coming back with a vengeance, taking on Liam's buddies in the Brooklyn Young Republican Club for supporting bail reform, being anti-Trumpers and having leaders of Black Lives Matter as guest speakers at their meetings..I am no Capano fan but good for him for standing up to this absurdity. I hear local Republican District Leaders are fed up with them and have given an earful to Liam for his support of them

    ReplyDelete
  41. Whenever Ted spoke people started laughing.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Maybe, he was telling jokes. Did you ever think of that?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Bob is the one writing all this stuff about Liam out of jealousy. No one cares about Capano or what he thinks except for Capano.

    ReplyDelete
  44. President trump just endorsed Nicole. I guess the White House got tired of waiting for that school teacher to come out of the closet.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The question is with his failure to get his mother in law on the GOP Executive Committee does Liam still have a place to live ??

    ReplyDelete
  46. 1207
Not sure if it is Capano writing anything but not sure what Capano would be jealous of?

Bob lives in his own home, Liam doesn't

Bob works for a billionaire who may be Mayor & makes a good salary, Liam works for de Blasio at a low level job at TLC

Bob is a Professor and columnist, Liam is what exactly?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Forget all the mother-in-law and futon in the basement crap. What Liam don't get is that he needs to do more than try to menace people to be a leader inside the Brooklyn GOP or anyplace else. Besides, another thing that Liam don't get is that politically he ain't very menacing at all.

    ReplyDelete
  48. After the meeting last week, everybody needs to ask this: Who were the adults in the room?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Liam's candidate Marko got only one vote inside the room besides Liam. And that's after a very passionate plea by Liam supporting him. Hint: going after Chairman in a very immature way not only cost you support but it also lost Marko support. Not even one person from Liam's club voted for Marko and it had nothing to do with Mike T being a strong candidate, even Richard B looked to be nodding off while Mike was being interviewed.

    ReplyDelete
  50. After the meeting last week, everybody needs to ask this: Who gives a shit?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Liability Liam and Quaalude Quaglione are now on an island unto themselves because they stuck with Marty and now they are ostracized for it while Teddy Wigs and Kassar take care of the real business like MEN who handle their business. Capano played his hand just right and he may be the last one standing when the music stops. Capano is like a Phoenix. He just keeps rising from the Ashes. But have no mistake, ladies and germs, because Nicole is the only thing the GOP cares about this year, so every one else will have to be okay with playing second fiddle.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Nobody in Brooklyn cares about Nicole except Bob and Liam. Bob for the attention and Liam to see if he can get some action for Steeplechase. Q is happy being above the fray and only a masochist would seek out Nicole, she say hello to you and expect you to fork over a check on the spot. People tired already.

    ReplyDelete
  53. the only person who thinks Quaalude Quaglione is "above the fray" is Quaalude Quaglione. Q is obsessed with this blog and posts here several times per day. Every time I walk by his desk at DeSales, his computer is on this page!

    ReplyDelete
  54. By rights, the Brooklyn GOP should have passed the three of them, McCabe, Quaglione and Capano, by a long time ago, three losers that could barely find a winner in a fight among themselves in 2017 (that primary was the last thing that MARTY won); but the Brooklyn Republican Party is dead in the water, not moving in any direction and can't pass anybody by, because it's standing still.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Our local GoP is not playing with a full deck so much so that Professor Capano comes out looking like the only Adult in the building. Quaglione is on quaaludes, Liam is on lithium and Chamberas is also heavily heavily medicated. Its a freak show

    ReplyDelete
  56. Did anyone else see the Twitter war Capano galvanized with other local Rep and conservative groups calling out the Brooklyn YRs for their support of bail reform, Black Lives Matter, and anti-Trump positions. Wow!
And these local YRs are Liams pals.

    ReplyDelete
  57. When Jonathan Judge has come out of the woodwork to attack Capano on twitter for taking on the Brooklyn YRs, I know Professor and Columnist Capano is on the right side and the adult in the group of 2017 wannabes

    ReplyDelete
  58. Dear Justin:

  59. RESPONSE: THE "MORE IS MERRIER" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 9:57 AM"

IF THE DEMOCRAT CITY COUNCILMAN JUSTIN BRANNAN MAKES ANY COMMENTS ON THIS BLOG, HE IS MORE THAN WELCOME TO DO SO --- AND ANYBODY ELSE THAT MIGHT TAKE ISSUE WITH WHAT HE MIGHT HAVE POSTED IS EQUALLY WELCOME TO RESPOND AS THEY MIGHT CHOOSE --- THAT'S HOW "FREE SPEECH" IS SUPPOSED TO WORK AROUND HERE

Politically, things would be a lot more fun if everybody just kicked back, relaxed and let it all hang out in one huge scrum. There might only be one game ball, but there are always lots of other balls to grab; and if anyone does, they shouldn't be surprised to get a reaction.

As much as Liam, Quags and Capo-guano should be old news; like most of us in politics, they just don't seem to know how to leave the stage now that they are done with their scripted lines and other stage business. So far, most of their ad-libbing sort of sucks, and I can get why somebody like Justin might want to point that out. Shouting out that somebody is screwing the pooch is good politics and fun for the whole family.

So, to all the Justins and Justin impersonators out there --- the more, the merrier [and don't bang those keys so hard, it makes your fingers bleed and it hurts the machine].....

    ReplyDelete
  60. Bob needs a new hobby. Literally nobody cares what "Professor" Bob 'I teach recent US arrivals how a bill becomes a law' Capano is doing. Is he a Republican, a Democrat.a Reform party member? He can't make up his mind. This dude literally supported Justin Brannan and Andrew Gounardes and he has the nerve to accuse other people of not being loyal Republicans.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hmmmmm at least Brooklyn YRs don’t host neo-nazis at their club like the manhattan YRs do

    ReplyDelete
  62. 1059
Well if you look at Twitter you have the staten island young rep , New York young rep, state conservative groups, etc. taking his side on this and commending him for standing up to them.

Taking his side over Liam's Bklyn YRs

PS Capani didn't support Brannan he was on the ballot against him..get facts

    ReplyDelete
  63. RESPONSE: THE "WHAT SOMEBODY NEEDS TO LEARN" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:59 AM"

YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW THAT "FAKE NEWS" NEEDS TO BE TREATED AS A COOKING SPICE AND NOT AS A CONDIMENT --- IN OTHER WORDS, DON'T SLATHER IT ON LIKE IT'S KETCHUP ON FRENCH FRIES (OR AS YOU CALL THEM, CHIPS), A-1 SAUCE ON A BURGER (OR AS YOU CALL IT A WHIMPIE), OR EVEN YOUR FAVORITES, MARMITE ON YOUR WEETABIX IN THE MORNING AND MARMITE IN YOUR BOVRIL IN THE EVENING --- MMMMMMM - MMM !!! GOOD EATIN' AT YOUR HOUSE.....

Your comment above is quite over spiced to have any real underlying flavor. When was Bob an enrolled Democrat ??? Bob ran against Brannan, so he didn't support him --- and if Bob did some nice things for Mr. Gounardes, well, that was an anti-Marty thing which is bigger than partisan politics --- it's part of the fight of good against evil.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Bob stayed in the race to help Brannan and bragged about it. You know this GM. Then he left the GOP and joined the reform party because he thought that was a lifeline. He openly supported Gounardes who is a big part of why bail reform was passed. The reform party crashed and burned. Now Bob is reduced to sending out an email every time he is seen within the same zip code as and elected official. Sad.

    ReplyDelete
  65. 12:28 is fake news. Manhattan YRs actually are a real group with hundreds of people in attendance at their events. They don't host or support neo-nazis that's just a rumor started by a couple of malcontents too embarrassed to show their faces at the club again. Sure some of the speakers are edgier than others but a forum to encourage varied opinion and robust debate. Brooklyn YRs have turned into a NeverTrump group with only a handful of members and even less people showing up to their events.

    ReplyDelete
  66. 2:48 NOPE. Strongly disagree. Manhattan YRs not only have hosted Michelle Malkin (headlining a neo-nazi friendly version of CPAC called AFPAC) but they also have 0 relationship with AJ Cats/ Manhattan GOP. They actively supported Joey Salads (now Caldarera) against Nicole Malliotakis. AJ is with Nicole. They need to get a grip.

    ReplyDelete
  67. The Manhattan GOP has been devoured by the Far Right. YRs, Regular Rs, the whole kit and kaboodle. They brought the Proud Boys into the Met Club, and are paying the price for it.

Hundreds of people in attendance at YR events? The entire Manhattan Republican Party can't get a hundred people for anything these days. Dream on.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Cant be any worse than Liam holding press conferences that no one attends..at least Capano is on TV

    ReplyDelete
  69. Calling Michelle Malkin a racist is silly since she herself is a minority. Sounds like some people are bitter cause they lost the Met club race and aren’t welcome to attend the YRs in Manhattan they have to spread lies about people which seems to be their specialty. Joey Salads was gross but what’s wrong with supporting Jospeh Cakdarera? He’s a smart young former Brooklyn prosecutot who really does support our President. He’s raising money and some key endorsements are coming soon.
