Is the Brooklyn BOE a remote piece of the Broward County Florida election mess --- or is it something unique to Brooklyn ???
The "progress" of the recanvas of the Golden-Gounardes results sure looks like a tin-type of what's happening in Florida --- but maybe, looks can be deceiving !!!
There's little hard data available; and even the Brooklyn Eagle's most recent coverage is little more than a few mumbles from here and there (See "Absentee vote count postponed in Golden-Gounardes race" by Paula Katinas, 11/15/18, Brooklyn Daily Eagle [http://www.brooklyneagle.com/articles/2018/11/15/absentee-vote-count-postponed-golden-gounardes-race]).
Once again, the NYC BOE seems to be having a problem getting the right equipment where it needs to be to do a routine job.....
The Brooklyn Democratic party boss is blocking every vote from being counted.
ReplyDeleteSome Republicans might be upset about that.
Some Americans would be outraged.
No need for any outrage, at all. Every legally cast vote will be counted if it is readable, and Marty Golden will lose by over a thousand votes.
ReplyDeleteHello darkness, my old friend ...
ReplyDeleteFrom Marty's camp ... the Sounds of Silence are the sounds of a crashing defeat.
Where is Eaton??
ReplyDeleteI don't know, but wherever Eaton is, he's still sporting that "Steeplechase Smile" which started on election night.
ReplyDeleteLately, he's also been heard singing this as he walks around Sheepshead Bay Road, "I'm still standing, better than I ever did.... I'm still standing. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah... I'm still standing. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah..."
5:30am Are you delusional?
ReplyDeleteHe is happy as could be that his arch-nemesis is going down big-time.
The bigger question is, where is Golden? Hiding out in his house?
I saw photos of Eaton with Gov Pataki, Cats and others on election night, most likely celebrating Golden's demise...
ReplyDeleteI see that Eaton was on Cats show the other night...attacking Ghorra...
I saw Eaton was with Cats last night in NYC...
5:30am you need to get out of Kassar's ass and maybe you would have seen these things.

NO NEED TO RESPOND TO EVERY LITTLE COMMENT GOLDEN'S "DEAD-ENDERS" MAKE HERE.....
WE HAVE WON !!! WE HAVE THE HIGH GROUND & THEY ARE HEADED TO THE "DUSTBIN OF HISTORY".....
But a little song is always in order. Let's do this one, one more time, but just the chorus:
".... We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions of the world...."
It's like giving them a NOOGIE.....

YOU MUST BE >>> DUMB AS DIRT <<<
Or else you are obsessed with breakfast sausage (and I don't mean patties)..... "One link" --- EATON JUST FINISHED BURYING MARTY; Ghorra and Kassar are next. "See you on the radio"

ReplyDeleteGhorra plays power politics by getting Cats to go against Eaton last week of campaign and Eaton gets pacified with a bit on the radio show AFTER the election. It's clear who won and how Cats went with Ghorra when it mattered most
ReplyDeleteTed doesn’t play any politics. He’s controlled by Jerry. Now they’re trying to throw Liam under the bus and elevate the lovely young Manhattan couple who likes to take pictures of people on the subway. Eaton was on John’s radio program the other day with an all star cast including Kevin McCullough, Rob Cole, and Jessica Proud. Sitting next to Cats he said that Brooklyn GOP leadership needs to go. “Mentoring” Ahahaha!
ReplyDeleteCats was joking with Ghorra earlier how letting Eaton on his show pacified him from the election embarrassment of going with Golden
ReplyDeleteFunny but I heard the show, and if 9:50am is true, why didnt John defend Ghorra when Eaton threw Ghorra under the bus and said Ghorra needs to go, "because he is incompetent".
ReplyDeleteIf Cats and Ghorra were "so close", it seems obvious that Cats would have jumped in to defend such a "good friend" - dont you think?
What do the other posters think here?
Is 9:50 correct or am I correct?
I agree with 10:09 - If Ghorra and Cats were so close, Cats would have defended him. BUT HE DIDNT
ReplyDeleteNo wonder he got so wealthy, the man is always finding ways to save money. Cats got revenge on Marty and Jerry and it didn’t even cost him a penny. “Mentoring”.
ReplyDeleteLet's also not forget Capano, who works for Cats, was with Gounardes...didn't cost Cats a dime
ReplyDelete41st Assembly District (Marine Park & Sheepshead Bay) Absentee Ballots are counted:
ReplyDeleteMarty Golden: 50 votes
Andrew Gounardes: 47 votes
MARTY IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SCREWED.
Just wait til those upstate returns come in for Marty!
ReplyDeleteThis is the way the Golden world ends, not with a bang, but with a whimper...
ReplyDeleteManhattan Beach absentees:
ReplyDeleteMarty 72 Andrew 68.
Wah Hooooooooooooooooooo!
1022 (aka Craig)
ReplyDelete- If Eaton and Cats were so close, Cats would not have come out for Golden as Ghorra requested . BUT HE DID
I am 10:22 and am not Craig. But good try.
ReplyDeleteCats is a smart man. He came out at the very last minute because Golden begged him.
And Eaton approved of the Cats letter.
206
ReplyDeleteSo Eaton supported Golden? Then he lost!!
Eaton looks like a fool..Cats played him well...throw him a bone to appear on his show, invite him to a dinner to keep Eaton close but when it matters most went against him..206 pm is right ..Cats is a smart man
ReplyDelete211, take your brain back and see if you can get a refund; it doesn't work right.
ReplyDeleteEaton did everything he could to undermine Marty Golden and not leave any incriminating fingerprints or tracks leading back to his house.
He did nothing to help Marty, nothing.
All in all, Eaton threaded the needle perfectly.
The first 232, you have the same kind of brain problem as 211, are you the same person?
ReplyDeleteHow was it smart to buck Eaton, who beat Marty like a drum, and back Golden who fatally fell flat on his ass. Yes, Marty suffered the fatal pratfall, the ultimate tragic farce.
232 no proof of anything about Eaton undermining Golden...if Golden won, you would say Eaton was helping him behind the scenes right? That's the problem when Craig couldn't say anything publicly because he was muzzled by Cats
ReplyDeleteJill Barber said it best about what John Catsimatidis had to do vis a vis Marty.
ReplyDeleteFirst, "A girl's gotta do, gotta do, gotta do, what a girl's gotta do....."
Second, finally give in when everybody asked him to give Marty "A kiss to build a dream on....."
Eaton was far from muzzled by Johnny Cats.
ReplyDeleteNever was their a single word from Eaton or any of his allies that he was helping Marty behind the scenes in any way, not a peep. On the other hand, there was plenty of chatter, none of it denied by Eaton, that he was looking for any way possible to icepick Golden in the back, or front or side or neck or various soft spots on the head, like Trotsky.
Eaton keeps on winning and Golden & Ghorra keep losing. Hear are the facts:
ReplyDeletea) Eaton left on his own terms in 2015 after beating Golden in 2013 at the convention and beating Golden in Court;
b) Eaton put together a brilliant plan to leave on his own terms, not running in 2015 but rather waiting until the day before the Convention and then handing the reigns over to Arnaldo who at that point already had a deal with Golden to be Goldens Vice Chair;
c) then Golden took Arnaldo to Court for over one year and Golden was forced to spend over $ 75K to try the lawsuit;
d) then Ghorra became chair in 2016, not 2015 like he tells everyone, and tried so hard to be GOP NYS VC but was defeated;
e) and not Golden loses to a young Dem;
f) Ghorra loses all credibity because he promised Golden a win;
G) Ghorra loses because he backed Donovan and then alloewed Dan to lost and everyone knows it.
You see Eaton wins again!!!!
I remember that plan. It was executed perfectly and Eaton left as he wanted, on his own terms, leaving Golden and Kassar looking like idiots.
ReplyDeleteRemember the Clown car with Ghorra, Shamoun, Marty's staff and marty sitting outside of Eaton's convention? Ghorra and a lot others couldnt even come into the Convention because they werent on CC
What clowns
ReplyDeleteOne link on Eaton saying anything about Senate race??
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing so this is just Eaton heresay making himself try and be a player..Cats out him in his place
Craig and John are good friends. If anyone doubts it go and listen to this podcast Wednesday night. But it’s much easier for probably a BOE hack to keep regurgitating the same nonsense over and over.
ReplyDelete5"07-no need to post a link
ReplyDeleteJust look at Eaton in the photos since election day. Clearly he is happier than anyone else-and with good cause. The good guys win and the old bad guys lost.
He is a smart guy - didnt endorse golden but just watched him go down in flames.
Smart guy indeed

ReplyDeleteExactly right, Eaton was on the sidelines ...as usual
A little birdie told me that Eaton was not really "on the sidelines" at all. I know that he was incontact with John Catsimatidis, Ed Cox, Frank Seddio, Chris McCreight, Justin Brannan, Curtis Sliwa, Bob Capano, Galewyn Massey and several other stakes-holders closer to Marty Golden during the campaign. Early on, Eaton's message to all was the same, Marty's campaign was not connecting with many of the necessary groups of potential GOP voters, but Gounardes was not doing what he needed to do to win.
ReplyDeleteAll that changed in October 2018. About a week or two into October, Eaton was telling his friends that Golden could be losing lots of ground to Gounardes, and Marty had completely turned off a lot of potential Republican voters. By the last week of October, Eaton was saying to top Republicans that the race was very close and Marty might even lose.
Eaton was close enough to the 2018 campaign that he could take Marty's pulse and blood pressure, and possibly even draw some blood, if necessary. He even had an icepick at the ready for that.
Everyone played their part in bringing Golden down on Election Day, but no one deserves more credit than Marty himself.
ReplyDelete--More self-inflicted bad press this year alone than most electeds get in a lifetime.
--Accelerated arrogance: talking about himself in the third person in that NYTimes interview encapsulated "The Senator" and his isolated, ivory tower, incumbent arrogance.
--The culmination of a decade's work in pruning his team of experienced campaign professionals, and replacing them with young, talentless yes-men.
Marty Golden has run out of votes and run out of time, and everybody has run out of patience for any more of his nonsense.
ReplyDeleteMarty Golden lost the non-Jewish vote throughout his district. Think about that.
ReplyDeleteThe only identifiable group that Golden carried by any significant margin were Orthodox Jews.
Looking at it slightly differently, Golden carried Trump voters but not non-Trump voters.
Given all that, in 2020 could Golden win his seat back the same way that Chris Mega did in 1984 during President Ronald Reagan's "Morning in America" re-election landslide?
The final nail in Marty Golden's coffin was the endorsement he got from Chuck Otey.

ReplyDeleteOne thing going for Golden is that he couldn’t have had a worst campaign team. On top of that the whole proud boys incident just added fuel to the dumpster fire and the Golden brain trust though they could make that go away by threatening a lawsuit. After everything seemed to have stabilized the psychos plucked themselves into the center of Marty’s operation and that was the end of it. But Marty could win in two years.

RESPONSE: THE "PUT put" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 5:02 AM" & "... AT 6:44 AM"
WHY FOCUS ON THE "EMPTY" PART OF THE GLASS AS IF IT'S REALLY EMPTY --- EVEN THE APPARENTLY "EMPTY" PART OF THE GLASS IS "FULL" OF UNSEEN STUFF.....
First, "Eaton & Capano" are far from alone, they are about to embark on a political adventure of multi-partisan outreach [Note: Mathylde Frontus' ideas about a 46th AD "think tank" are completely compatible with it; and I'm sure that she will soon be consulted as to launching a "joint venture" with it.
Second, if Marty Golden choses to lay low for a while, who can or should gainsay that ????? 2019 will be soon enough for a complete debrief and unpacking of what went down in 2018, AND WHY.....
Last, for now, the 2018 "Holidays" are impending --- let's prepare for them with elan for who we are and gusto because it's a great time for each and everyone of us to be alive.
With the loss of Republican State Senator Marty Golden and Congressman Dan Donovan, GOP State Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis becomes the last Republican public official in Brooklyn.
ReplyDeleteBrooklyn Republicans haven’t offered Democrats serious competition for public office on the city, state or federal level in years with the exception of Bay Ridge. Now, thanks to Councilman Justin Brannan, that is history, too.
Crossover Democrats continue to move out of town, retire out of state or succumb to old age. There are no successful GOP outreach to new Caribbean, Hispanic, Asian, other immigrant groups or middle class African Americans. Once the Republican loses any incumbent City Council, State Assembly, State Senator or Congressional representative, they are never able to reclaim the district.
In Brooklyn, running as a Democrat or winning any Democratic Party primary is a sure bet to winning any general election. The remaining Brooklyn Republicans should consider moving to Staten Island. Despite a 2-to-1 Democrat to Republican enrollment, Staten Island still remains politically competitive for the GOP.
Justin get off this blog. Nobody cares...
ReplyDeleteFrank Manfredonio for Senate!
