A series of connections that taint the prosecution and provide an explanation of what has driven the Brooklyn DA’s case against John Giuca
Not only has
Angel diPietro been a top-suspect-turned-top-witness in the Mark Fisher murder
case-turned-assistant-district attorney,
she has been the daughter of a lawyer,
who has been strangely
intertwined with former Kings County (Brooklyn) DA Charles Hynes
WHAT EVERYBODY SHOULD KNOW BY NOW
According
to a NY Daily News article from a few of years ago in 2015, “…. During the [2013] campaign, [deceased Brooklyn DA Kenneth] Thompson
slammed Hynes for employing Angel
Di[P]ietro, an assistant district attorney who
also served as a witness in a high-profile Brooklyn murder case after she
brought a friend, Mark Fisher, to a Brooklyn house party where he was killed
hours later….”
But that’s not all that the News said --- “…. DiPietro’s father, James, is a prominent criminal defense attorney and a staunch Hynes supporter who made several campaign donations….” And then taking a quote from the man that took away the DA job from Charles Hynes in 2013, the Daily News wrote this: “…. ‘Another day, another Hynes scandal,’ said Thompson in 2013. ‘The large campaign donation by [Angel] DiPietro’s father [James] after DA Hynes hired Ms. DiPietro raises serious questions.’… But DiPietro still works in the office….” (See “Brooklyn DA Ken Thompson gains national acclaim his first year” by Reuven Blau, 1/6/15, NY Daily News [http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/brooklyn-da-gains-national-acclaim-year-article-1.2068140]).
In 2014, a specialty blog dedicated to “… those who have been railroaded by the Brooklyn Justice System from an investigator whose seen it all….” also had a good take on some of this DiPietro stuff (See “You can't discuss the Charles Hynes railroad without mentioning John Giuca...” by Bixco [???], 2/15/14, Blog, “The Charles Hynes Rail Road” [http://charleshynesrailroad.blogspot.com/2014/02/you-cant-discuss-charles-hynes-railroad.html]).
Now, more than four years have passed, since Thompson’s win over Hynes, and Angel DiPietro still works as an ADA in the Office of the Kings County prosecutor, the current DA Gonzalez. --- AND --- According to ADA Joseph Alexis last week, the Brooklyn DA’s office is looking into again using Angel Di Pietro, since Mr. Giuca’s prior conviction had been overturned. It However, Mr. Alexis made clear that the DA’s Office needed to re-evaluate Angel DiPietro, as one of its key witnesses for any new trial that might be had against John Giuca.

BUT THE DI PIETRO-HYNES CONNECTION(S) IS (ARE) SO MUCH MORE THAN WHAT HAS BEEN REPORTED TO DATE >>> IN CONNECTION WITH THE GIUCA PROSECUTION <<<
During
a time, including when the Giuca case was being hashed-out in court, James DiPietro represented a top DA Charles
Hynes’ office lieutenant when criminal charges, possibly including murder, were hanging over that operative’s head (See

S.I. Dispute Turns Deadly’ by Kareem

Then there was the “normal” stuff between Hynes and Mr. DiPietro, which it turns out, sometimes ain’t so normal. You see, James DiPietro has a lot of clients that are tough guys of the gingerella sort, and needless to say, those cases always got some kind of special treatment in the Brooklyn DAs office.

Although the information contained in that paragraph is believed to be accurate, the events described in it might lead (have led) to a false conclusion about a case, which did not likely involve any special relationship between Messrs. Well, that’s enough for now.
