Bob Capano hits "Home Run" in his first at bat as a columnist

CAPANO:  "Grimm vs. Donovan GOP primary will put Brooklyn in spotlight"

Reform Party Chairman and new columnist on the Brooklyn political scene predicts a Grimm-Donovan Republican Primary would be "...  a referendum of 'Trumpism' "

At long last,  >>> ANOTHER <<< independent and conservative-minded media guy in and for Brooklyn

He even pokes good old John Quaglione in the eye   ---   by mentioning Liam McCabe provocatively, and then not saying "BOOH !!!" about "Q"

Here's how Bob Capano kicked-off his first regular column for Courier Life's Brooklyn Daily:  "The GOP primary between Michael Grimm and Congressman Dan Donovan in Bay Ridge’s 11th Congressional District is shaping up to be a referendum of “Trumpism,” and the general election should be a bellweather for the entire country in the upcoming mid-term elections that will determine control of the House of Representatives...."  (See "Grimm vs. Donovan GOP primary will put Brooklyn in spotlight"  by  Bob Capano,  1/18/18,  Courier Life's Brooklyn Daily/  Politics/ Opinion/  The Right View  [https://www.brooklyndaily.com/stories/2018/3/all-right-view-grimm-donovan-218-01-19-bd_2018_3.html]).

Bob certainly has some chops being both insightful and  provocative with one-liners  like this:   "....  So far, most GOP elected officials and county chairs have lined up behind Donovan, but it will be interesting to see who Republicans that have worked for both men, like former GOP Council candidate Liam McCabe, choose...."

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK,  BOB,  BROOKLYN NEEDS WHAT YOU’RE PITCHIN’

  1. Capano has a column in the Advance?

  2. The comment by 315am is just silly at this point as all know Capano is in Bay Ridge. What got these Capano detractors all riled up is every time they think Capano is out, he comes back more influential than ever.

  3. All the column said was Vito Fosella came to an office in brooklyn on Mondays. Who is Vito Fosella?

  9. 652 am- finally you admit Capano is still alive, well, and has influence working with Bay Ridge's Councilman!!

  10. Will Trump be endorsing Mike Grimm?

    I DON'T THINK SO.

Will Trump be endorsing Dan Donovan?

    THAT'S POSSIBLE.

If Trump endorses DD, then how can this primary, if it ever happens, be a referendum about Trump or Trumpism.

Bob Capano's first BIG DEAL political column is nothing but FAKE NEWS with an even FAKER HEADLINE.

  11. Bob the column was great. Soon to be a movie.

  16. Chairman
They attack you with silly and false information and facts because they see your influence and power growing. I saw a photo of you with Councilman Deutsch and other Brooklyn power brokers in Downtown Brooklyn yesterday

    ReplyDelete
  17. I also saw that photo. Bob is certainly growing.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Chairman
    See comment 115pm
They attack you and look so so foolish because unlike McCabe and Q your influence and power in Brooklyn only increases

  19. Grimm will beat Donovan.

Grimm will beat Donovan 3 to 1 in the Brooklyn side of district.

For those commenters above, I saw you commenting that Democrats should keep govt. open on Brooklyn Channel 12 in your capacity as a "Brooklyn Political Columnist". Your name ID and influence grows. Meanwhile, McCabe is MIA and Quaglione is still getting Marty's coffee. Well done Mr. CAPANO

  23. Chairman
I also watched your extensive interview on Channel 12 news. You were great.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Boy, the Chairman really put McCabe on the spot in his column. I hear Donovan read it and very curious about Liam also.

  29. January 20th, 2018... Quaglione's still sulking and asking for a recount while Chairman Capano soars to new heights of power and popularity in Bay Ridge. Who woulda thunk?

    ReplyDelete
  30. 1139am-- I am not a Capano supporter at all but will admit I thought he was done- would hightail it to another state abd we would all be done with him

I cant believe how this guy has come back

    ReplyDelete
  31. Bob has come back in his own mind. Less than 1% and now he’s reduced to kissing Justin Brannan’s posterior.

    ReplyDelete
  32. see 12:29 chairman. They fear u

    ReplyDelete
  33. 1229pm..
Have you read the Courier Life Newspapers this week? Watched cable news yesterday? I would not call that a "come back in his own mind "
    Ahahahah

    ReplyDelete
  34. Bob’s problem is no one else read the Courier Life piece either. That local outlets use him to fill time is not impressive and no comeback. Who would take him seriously when he got less than 1% of the vote?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Bob’s problem is that no one else read the Courier Life piece either and he can be on cable news 24/7 for all we care, he went on Tucker Carlson and still got no traction and got less than 1% of the vote. Using your logic the more we are exposed to Bob the less we are to support him, hardly a winning formula.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Thats the plan chairman. stick with it

    ReplyDelete
  37. Chairman
They are just making excuses again. No one hears from McCabe or Quaglione anymore and you are all over. It has them so frustrated

    ReplyDelete
  38. Bob
The fact that your detractors here keep taking potshots at you only shows how relevant you are and how much they fear you..each attack is a badge of honor..

    ReplyDelete
  39. When people used the term "Chairman" they thought of Frank Sinatra.

Now The Chairman is Bob Capano.

    ReplyDelete
  40. 'Chairman'! 'Chairman'! 'Chairman'! 'Chairman'!

WHy haven't you figured this out yet? I think I get it. And everybody here talking about capano, QUaglione and MCcabe don't got it one bit.

Capano is now a 'CHAIRMAN'. That's like Gorrah, and Kassahr and Long. They are his competition now, not Quaglione and MCcabe.

  41. God Bless u Chairman Bob

  42. What the column does not say is who the reform party is endorsing for congress.

    So who is it?

  43. March 6th is the first day to gather signatures. the Conservative party knows what they are doing. Does the reform party know what to do?

  44. ANNOUNCEMENT: THE "THIS IS A FAVOR TO SOME FOLKS I KNOW" EDITION

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MICHAEL PULIZOTTO ?????

A FEW PEOPLE ARE TRYING REAL HARD TO REACH OUT TO MICHAEL PULIZOTTO AND THEY SAY HE'S VERY DIFFICULT TO TRACK DOWN FOR A "CHIEF CLERK" IN THE NYS OCA SYSTEM

Remember, you didn't hear this from me, but it's some writer types and a couple of lawyers that specialize in cases against DAs.....

So, if you know what has happened to Michael Pulizotto do a comment about it on this blog. It seems like the folks running the courts have buried him very, very deep. I'm sure it's not like something like Jimmy Hoffa or Judge Joseph Force Crater. But MP needs to show up soon or people will start to worry.....

    ReplyDelete
  45. Where is McCabe? Talk about a disappearance after a losing campaign...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Judge Crater please call the office.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Nicole Malliotakis is having a big breakfast today for supporters..Eaton claims he helped get her elected and is a friend, Capano claims he has long friendship with her..we're they invited...I think not.

    ReplyDelete
  48. While Kassar and Ghorra will be mingling with Malliotakis and other state GOP players, including Catsimatidis, Eaton and Capano will be blogging from home..feel bad

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yeah I am sure they will be upset that they didnt to a celebration of someone who couldnt even break 28 % against the worst Mayor of all time. She reallly was a great candidate.

TO A FEW OF THE "INVITEES" HOCKING-ON THE "NON-INVITEES" AND/OR A FEW OF THE "NON-INVITEES" BEING HOCKED-ON BY THE "INVITEES"

I used to be invited to almost everything. Now, nobody invites me to anything. That is a situation which I carefully planned and cultivated.

My life has been much better the way it is since the invitations stopped.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Liam McCabe is doing great, Jerry Kassar is doing great, Ted Ghorra is doing great and all will be with Nicole, Ed Cox and John Cats and Andrea Cats today..Capano and Eaton will be in their houses

    ReplyDelete
  52. Gale did it ever occur to you it's those alligator arms of yours that have cut down the invites?

".... THAT IS A SITUATION WHICH I CAREFULLY PLANNED AND CULTIVATED.... MY LIFE HAS BEEN MUCH BETTER THE WAY IT IS SINCE THE INVITATIONS STOPPED."

I'm pretty sure that I know who submitted the "alligator arms" comment.....

You know, if I have to listen to your hair-brained schemes, it's only fair that you have to pay for drinks and dinner, and if necessary, more drinks after that to clear my head.....

  54. Bob Capano and Craig Eaton were in Bay Ridge at Brannan's Inauguration while Quaglione and McCabe were in Staten Island..and they lie and joke about Capano being in Staten island
    Ahahahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  55. Grimm turned down the reform party and its obvious Donovan aint touching it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Grimm and Donovan actually both just interviewed with Bob and his Brooklyn committee to seek the line..they will make their decision soon with a press conference and their candidate..watch and see!!
    Ahahahah

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  64. Yea “Chairman” Capano leafing the way for a leftist de Blasio puppet like Justin Brannan. Way to go Bob.
