News reports have indicated that Marty Golden's "My Life in the Bike Lane" auto-biographical adventure might have an official-looking component --- at least, that's what they say Mayor de Blasio is saying
In any case, it looks like State Senator Marty G and his band of merry supporters, staffers and camp followers are all having something less than a perfect Christmas in this year of 2017 --- with a promise that all of it will be carrying-over into the New Year of 2018..... After all, didn't the Mayor say, "... I will certainly get back to you on that...."

In my opinion, Marty Golden got by far the worst of it from the opening and closing remarks from a 2 CBS News, New York anchorwoman; and then during a Tony Aiello report, all of which was broadcast over a week ago (See "Marty Golden Fires Back After Being Accused Of Impersonating Police Officer" [by Tony Aiello], 12/15/17, CBS2 New York [http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2017/12/15/marty-golden-speaks-out/]).
Rather than glibly deflecting Tony Aiello's questions, obviously somebody in the Golden brain trust had advised our local State Senator to engage the reporter. The result was a torturous audio-video record of verbal diarrhea from the great communicator of Bay Ridge.
Golden started by trying to be dismissive of the whole bicycle lane thing, but then veered off and accused the cyclist of causing the whole thing. Golden, himself, described it as "road rage" by the cyclist, who pursued our NYSSMG for thirty (30) blocks as Golden and his driver "... tried to get away from him...."
Sadly for Marty, there was much more than that. For example, for some reason, Golden decided to defend himself when there was a mention of "new interest" in a backstory concerning his killing of the old lady many years ago with his SUV, a case that according to CBS, was settled by Golden's insurance company. Marty tried to excuse this vehicular homicide by saying the victim, an elderly woman, walked into the side of his "car" as he proceeded through a changed light. Also for some reason, he felt compelled to add that the woman had a stomach cancer, and that condition additionally contributed to her death. [It was previously mentioned on this blog that $750,000 was paid-out to settle this claim against Golden].
If all that was true, then I have some very simple follow-up questions for my state senator:
First, if, as NYSSMG claims, it was the bike-rider who had the road rage percolating; WHY DOES MARTY GOLDEN THINK THAT THE CYCLIST WAS SO ENRAGED ?????
Second, if the accident involving the old lady with cancer resulted only from her "walking" into the side of NYSSMG's SUV, why did she spend the rest of her life in the hospital being treated for her injuries from the accident, and why did an insurance company pay so much [$750,000] to settle the claim ?????
Kassar is good at making deals to sell out local Republicans and not much else. This story blew up and his advice only managed to make it worse.

Whoever keeps doing the "1%" meme, no doubt about BC, is making a hu-u-u-u-u-ge mistake.
1) It show that the "1%" commenter is so obsessed with Bobby C that his thinking about Bob is way beyond 1%, and is probably closer to 110-120 %; and
2) It greatly diminishes the expectations of the crowd that Bob needs to achieve much more than 1% for his candidates during his first stint as Reform Party Chairman.
What does Bob’s result have to do with the fact that whatever campaign Kassar touches turns to garbage? While Kassar hangs out at the Manor promising part time jobs to bottom feeders, Craig is hanging out at 21 with CEOS.

Clorinda who isn’t even that involved anymore had over a hundred people at her event while Jerry could barely get ten people at his event. The Federal Indictment of Richard Luthmann really does look bad. And to paraphrase "ANONYMOUS SAID... Nonetheless, something about all of this stuff stinks to high heaven --- and that's the truth.

--- that one really needs some unpacking.
I'm not close to this case, and I haven't been fully briefed by any of my BSIs about it; but I do know that a prosecutor (in this case many state and federal prosecutors) has gone after a political activist with whom that prosecutor had lots of issues. First, the prosecutor tried using a "Special Prosecutor"; when there was a tough motion made by Luthmann concerning the "Special Prosecutor", then with the addition of some magical testimony of several bad actors, who had messes of their own to work-out, the case went over to the "Feds" and Luthmann was then arrested by them for what looks like some really bad things; and the SI prosecutor and everybody on Staten Island, including the SI Advance, said what a wonderful thing that it would be for DA McMahon and his lovely wife Judge Judy if Luthmann were stuck in the slammer for a very long time.
Yeah, this thing stinks to high heaven, alright; and what makes it stink even more is the Dennis Quirk part. You know, he's the same Dennis Quirk, who is asshole-buddies with State Senator Marty Golden.... OH, AND THE SAME DENNIS QUIRK, WHO TRIED UNSUCCESSFULLY IN 2013 TO SALVAGE THE SOILED AND TATTERED CAREER OF PROSECUTOR CHARLES HYNES ALONG WITH BROOKLYN'S CONSERVATIVE BOSSES MIKE LONG AND JERRY KASSAR, AND LAWYER ARTIE AIDALA.

Everybody is missing one of the real sleazes in this story, John P. Connors, the hooked-up Staten Island attorney, who's got at least a little bit of a conflict of interest going on here from the look of things.

The charge isn't that Luthmann paid a stripper to have sex with McMahon; I believe the charge was that he offered that money for her to claim that McMahon attacked her.

So that means that capable people no longer go to them for favors, they can’t even get any filing jobs at the DA Office anymore. People who can get stuff done no longer go to the Conservatives for favors. They got exposed in the Quaglione race when Kassar and Long put their full muscle behind Liam and he got crushed. It’s true they took over the Brooklyn GOP but there are no spoils left, so while Craig hangs with influential people who can get people real jobs in the real world Jerry has to feel important by promising part time jobs to people who couldn’t get hired at Walmart.

Damn it..every time I count Capano out, he comes back..I just noticed his Facebook timeline..almost 300 sending him birthday messages including Democrats like Joe Bova and Khader El Yateem., conservatives like Fran Vella Marrone..Republicans like Craig Eaton, Steve Saperstein and Joe Kovac, reporter's like Andrea Peyser of the Post and Helen Klein...I guess people still respect Bob despite what Kassar and Q may say..

No pretending at this end. Bob Capano and I don't roll that way, and I haven't heard that he cares what I do vis a vis Richard Luthmann one way or the other.
As for helping anybody with the Luthmann stuff on this site --- I don't believe that I have, one way or the other, I just reported things the way they looked to me and one of my top BSIs who seems very interested in all of it for emotional reasons. I think it might be a hormone imbalance.....

Rose Marie Mazetta performed in the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and even into the 2000s --- yes, that's nine (9) decades..... Some say that she is the last surviving performer who had a charted hit before WW-II.
To show some of the performing heights that she achieved, she toured the country for many years as one of the "4 Girls 4" retro-show with big-band singing stars Rosemary Clooney, Margaret Whiting, and Helen O'Connell.....
Al Capone was one of her patrons; as was Bugsy Siegel, who brought her to Las Vegas very early on.
