The Three Candidates for State Senate Scenario Upstages the Three Candidates for City Council Scenario

Suddenly, there are three credible candidates for the STATE SENATOR slot now held by the aging Bay Ridge caterer,  MARTIN GOLDEN  ---  AND ---  that is stepping on the news that there are three Republican candidates, named Quaglione, Capano and McCabe  ---  all still active in campaigns for the City Council

The details and evidence for this stuff is still a little muddled  ---  but for once, there is actually MORE HERE THAN MEETS THE EYE.

  1. Gailyguy, that was your best post yet, because it was short and it didn't mention any show tunes, which is too gay for all us non-Log Cabin Republicans.

  3. RESPONSE: THE "THANKS, BUT NO THANKS" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:13 AM"

THERE IS NO BAD PUBLICITY AND A KNOCK IS AS GOOD AS A BOOST.....

IN ADDITION, WHAT SOME PEOPLE LIKE OR DON'T LIKE DOESN'T DETERMINE HOW I RUN MY BLOG; HOWEVER, THANK YOU FOR THE COMPLIMENTARY PART OF YOUR COMMENT.....

IN THE MEANTIME, BOB CAPANO KEEPS SHOWING THAT HE CAN GET THE GOOD PRESS COVERAGE --- THIS TIME AT THE EXPENSE OF THE >>> TWO <<< MAJOR PARTY CANDIDATES --- BUT OBVIOUSLY, THE SHORT- AND ULTIMATELY LONG-TERM COSTS OF CAPANO'S RE-EMERGENCE TO JOHN QUAGLIONE & THE GOLDEN-GHORRA REPUBLICANS IS MUCH MORE PROBLEMATIC

FYI: Bob Capano got some great press concerning his appearance up in front of The Bay Ridge Council on Aging "debate" with John Quaglione and Justin Brannan (See "Southwest Brooklyn Council hopefuls go head-to-head in three-way debate" by Helen Klein, 10/4/17, Home Reporter/ Reporter News [http://brooklynreporter.com/story/southwest-brooklyn-council-hopefuls-go-head-head-three-way-debate/]).

Helen Klein's article tells a good story about some of the reasons that Bob Capano decided to keep on campaigning after the GOP primary. Make no mistake, there is a lot more to it than what people have heard so far.

  4. RESPONSE: THE "ONE OF THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN YALE AND HARVARD" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:26 AM"

BACK IN THE DAY, YALE HAD STANLEY MILGRIM AND HARVARD HAD HENRY A. MURRAY.....

MURRAY'S EXPERIMENTS GAVE US TED KACZYNSKI AND MILGRIM'S GAVE US JOHN QUAGLIONE --- CAN EITHER RESULT BE MORALLY JUSTIFIED ?????

  6. UPDATE: THE "EARLY ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL" EDITION

NOW THAT CAPANO HAS SURFACED AS THE REFORM PARTY CANDIDATE --- PEOPLE ARE ASKIN' QUESTIONS AND CALLING HIM NAMES

One >>> interested individual <<< wanted to know if I knew what he was really up to.....

And another interesting fact is that some people have already started describing Capano's general election run as the >>> "Zombie Candidacy" <<<

Hey, it was worthy of a comment --- no biggie.....

    ReplyDelete
  7. Capano was irrelevant in the primary. Now Bobs way of making himself a player is to upset the Quaglione victory. Not gonna happen Bob.

  8. Get real, you JQ fool. Marty made your bed for you now you gotta sleep in it. Quaglione never had a chance in November, now he doesn't even have a chance to match his 2013 numbers. Quaglione is a fool for running again and the any of the Golden folks that let him run are even bigger fools.

And Gaily-whalely's "Zombie Candidate" Capano is gonna bring with him the ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE for your version of the Brooklyn GOP.

    2017 is a DONE DEAL, can't wait for 2018.

  9. Gale-
your missing the real story- see this article by Julianne Cuba
    https://www.brooklyndaily.com/stories/2017/40/pl-party-line-2017-10-06-bk.html

I hear Capano & Sliwa have on tape the Conservative leaders telling them to be a part of this deal for Bruno to be the placeholder for the conservative, independence, and reform party and the gOP primary winner will get all lines...the problem is sliwa & capano said no deal which is why Capano is still running....I hear an appointment with the feds is coming....

  10. The same sore losers who said John Quaglione would lose the primary now say he will lose the election. Senator Golden and Councilman Quaglione will rule until Golden decides to hand his seat to Q. So get used to it losers !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Didn't you see the numbers, more than half the REPUBLICANS voted against Quaglione.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The base has united behind Quaglione.

TO FLESH OUT MY EARLIER ANSWER --- I WANTED TO ADD "AND F--- YOU" BUT THEN I'D HAVE TO "MODERATE" MY OWN COMMENT; AND I HATE DOING THAT --- BESIDES "AND F--- YOU" IS THREE WORDS NOT TWO.....

SO HERE'S MY TWO WORD AMPLIFICATION OF MY ORIGINAL ONE WORD ANSWER TO THE NONSENSE OF THE BASE UNITING AROUND QUAGLIONE FROM COMMENTER "... AT 11:10 PM":

    >>> NO WAY..... <<<

  15. Quaglione wins big time over Branna & Capano..no press will cover Capano at all

    ReplyDelete
  16. The Quaglione victory will stand out in an anti Trump year to the degree that he will edge out Ulrich as the next minority leader of the city council.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Quaglione carries himself like a Councilman although I think we would all agree that Brannan in at least one way is a heavy weight. Capano is a little Napolean who met his Waterloo.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Will be very embarrassing for kassar and the conservatives if Capano gets more votes on the Reform Party line than Quaglione gets on the Con line

    ReplyDelete
  19. It would be even more significant if Quaglione was elected by the votes on the Conservative line.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Its about time people finally accepted Q as the next councilman. Bob will maintain his third place status in the election as he did in the primary.

  21. A FURTHER AMPLIFIED RESPONSE: THE "THREE WORD ANSWER" EDITION

    TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 11:10 PM"; "... AT 8:56 AM"; "... AT 10:14 AM"; "... AT 2:37 PM"; "... AT 3:45 PM"; AND "... AT 4:02 PM"

    >>> AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN <<<

None of the hyper-delusional stuff contained in the comments noted above will come to pass --- except for one thing: I do believe that Bob Capano might come in third in the race between Brannan, Quaglione and Capano. BUT --- so what, the fatal damage to JQ will be done --- AND --- More important, Capano and Eaton will get all the >>> CREDIT <<< for it.....

And, who knows, after that maybe they'll even go after the >>> BIG KAHUNA <<< himself in 2018.....

  22. JQ polls already show him beating the dem by 6 pts. He will only go up at this stage.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Nicole and Q are on three lines together. Diblasio will be smart enough to distance himself from Justin.

    ReplyDelete
  24. diblasio will kill it for Justin.

  25. Brannan 59%
    Quaglione33%
    Capano 8%

  26. Brannan 45
    Quaglione 40
    Capano 15

    ReplyDelete
  27. Brannan 48
    Quaglone 30
    Capano 7

    ReplyDelete
  28. When JQ is getting sworn into office in January you people will be saying he will never get re elected.

    ReplyDelete
  29. It was exactly 20 years ago that the naysayers said Marty could not win a race for city council. He has never stopped winning. When you are the oldest of 8 children you learn to lead.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Twenty years ago many of us were working WITH Marty Golden, now we aren't. And because JQ is Marty's guy, we aren't working with him either.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The "us and "we" above should respect the fact that the voters have spoken. Golden and Quaglione have won.

    ReplyDelete
  32. And?

WE HAVE TO BE FOR THEM, EVEN WHEN WE PREFER SOMEBODY ELSE WHOSE NAME IS ON THE BALLOT IN NOVEMBER?

I don't think it works that way.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Looks like Capano, Eaton, and Gallo are playing a big role again in Bay Ridge
