JOHN QUAGLIONE SEEMS EASILY CONFUSED --- AND --- MORE OFTEN, JQ REALLY IS CONFUSING --- HIS RECENT SOCIAL MEDIA MESSAGE ABOUT PARKING TICKETS IS A GOOD (OR SHOULD THAT BE "BAD") EXAMPLE
IT LOOKS LIKE MAYBE >>> JQ <<< THINKS THAT BAY RIDGE, DYKER HEIGHTS, BENSONHURST AND BATH BEACH SHOULD PAY >>> MORE <<< IN THE WAY OF PARKING AND OTHER TRAFFIC TICKETS
Here’s a “COMMUNICATION”
that John Quaglione recently posted on Facebook: “John Quaglione…March 7 at
9:48pm... New York…
Report released from Rent Hop shows that the
62nd and 68th Precincts (Bath Beach, Bensonhurst, Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights)
were ranked #6 and #7 in revenue generated from tickets out of the 23 police
precincts in Brooklyn in 2016…. Total
money collected from our community - over $12 million dollars. This is absurd
and we can do better folks….[with the image of the bright orange reverse side of a parking summons]” (See [https://www.facebook.com/search/latest/?q=john%20quaglione]).
Does this so-called “Republican” City Council hopeful think we don’t pay enough and does he want us to pay MORE in parking tickets ????
Does this so-called “Republican” City Council hopeful think we don’t pay enough and does he want us to pay MORE in parking tickets ????
Based
on his Facebook It’s not clear whether Quaglione wants us to move the home
folks up toward NUMBER ONE (#1) or move his future City Council constituents
further down on the list.
His
Tweet on the same topic wasn't quite so obviously bad (but he was limited in
the damage he could do by Twitter's character count limit): "John Quaglione @JQuaglione Mar 7... Report
from Rent Hop shows the 62nd & 68th Precincts ranked #6 and #7 in revenue
generated from tickets out of 23 precincts in #Bklyn
2016...[also with the bright orange picture of the mail-it-in side of a parking
summons]" (See [https://twitter.com/JQuaglione/status/839307621391822848]).
Also can anybody venture a guess as to
when Mr. Quagione will make up his mind whether he is employed as State Senator
Marty Golden’s Not-quite Chief of Staff
or Obviously-not Communications Director ????
More parking summons!!
ReplyDeleteNYC needs the revenue to pay for Marty Goldens bullshit disability pension
I say if your meter expires. Then go to jail.
ReplyDeleteGood catch Gale. I'm glad you were able to get this posted before you shut down for the Sabbath
ReplyDeleteI think you should give Mr Quaglioney credit for not taking sides without fully examining the issue. Some people enjoy getting parking tickets.
ReplyDeleteYou are missing the point.
ReplyDeleteWE CAN DO BETTER
EXACTLY! I COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER, MYSELF.
ReplyDeleteWE JUST WON'T GIVE UP UNTIL WE'RE NUMBER-ONE IN PARKING TICKETS!
ReplyDeleteA Councilman who promises to make Bay Ridge # 1 in parking tickets. Will he also get us some more homeless shelters?
ReplyDeleteIs Liam allowed to park his Uber car on the street overnight? Quaglione should be looking into that because we might be able to give Liam a few tickets and juice our number up to 5 on that list
ReplyDeleteWord is Quag meant to say something else
ReplyDeleteWe don't need Quaglione to be our City Councilman if the best response when he's been confronted with a gaff is to say I "meant to say something else."
ReplyDeletethat 12 million dollars in parking tickets from constituents is the extra income those people cant spend on restaurants and bars.
ReplyDeleteQ, YOU HAD ONE JOB.
ReplyDeletestrange that such a blunt guy who can barely string together a sentence would be a "communications director". might "monosyllabic liaison" be more appropriate ?
ReplyDeleteQuaglione has actually worked and helped constituents his entire life. McCabe has hung posters and got Donovans coffee
ReplyDeletemaybe quag has been fixing parking tickets. marty loves a good earner
ReplyDeleteDoes Marty call anybody on his staff, like JQ, a'grass eater'?
ReplyDeleteWhen Marty endorses Quaglione the show will be over for Liam and Bob, and Donovan "show" of support for Liam will dissappear.
ReplyDeletemarty already made his deal with abbate
ReplyDeleteWhen incumbents get together they dont worry about the hired help
ReplyDeletethe proof will be in the proverbial pudding as they say with the upcoming filing to the Finance Board . my prediction is Liam will show poorly in terms of monetary support. I also predict this filing to be the final nail in the coffin for Bob Capano.
ReplyDeleteCapano has been in this race with an open and active fundraising account for nearly two years and he still hasn't cracked $10,000 in his coffers. my prediction is that Big John Q. will once again be the man to beat. He has done this before, he has the network and the infrastructure and his donors know how this game is played. Last I heard, Liam was texting people he had not seen in 15 years and asking them to give 10 dollars and Capano was having coffee with his uncle's friend from Staten Island but hoping we would all believe he was at 'another' house party in Dyker Heights
12:02 hit the nail on the head with Big John Q "has done this before". Yes Quag has lost before and will prove he can do it again.
ReplyDeleteQ won't lose. He will drop out.
ReplyDeleteMcCabe and Capano will drop out after this filing.
ReplyDeleteThey are all fighting over the honor of losing to Justin
ReplyDeletethat is reality
The only candidate to unseat an entrenched incumbent is Kevin Carroll. Everyone else has a losing track record.
ReplyDeleteStop talking about the Democrats, the first fights that matter are in the GOP and the Conservative Party, and it's all talk without signatures. Only Liam has gotten signatures year in and year out, and that's for both Republican and Conservative candidates. That's the reason that Liam is the smart play for both the GOP and the Conservatives, not the other two.
ReplyDeleteAs a district leader Kevin Carroll will be the only candidate to be endorsed by the county democratic organization
ReplyDeleteKevin Peter Carroll's own supporters are complaining about having to support him and not Justin. Justin will get crushed like a cockroach by Abbate. Only reason Liam has been successful at gathering signatures is because Team Golden has been providing him with ample funds to pay people to go out and get those signatures, Liam can still be a viable candidate but wanted to clear that up. Q better have an impressive fundraising disclosure otherwise he will lose steam fast. As for Bob, he's a good guy but no more excuses, if he can't raise more than his primary opponents with a year's head start he should read the writing on the wall.
ReplyDeleteUPDATE & QUERY: THE "IS THIS SOMETHING OR IS IT NOTHING ???" EDITION
ReplyDeleteAN EQUALLY IMPORTANT QUESTION IS --- WHAT DOES JOHN QUAGLIONE HAVE TO DO WITH IT, OTHER THAN BEING AT THE PHOTO OP AND THEN POSTING IT ON SOCIAL MEDIA ???
QUAGS GOES AROUND THE WORLD FOR EARNED MEDIA
Here's a nifty ditty from JQ, no not "Johntleman's Quarterly", John Qualione:
"Grand opening of @BklynNYgop office this morning on 13th Avenue, with @SenMartyGolden, #GOP NYS @ChairmanEdCox Cox, & BklynChair Ted Ghorra [with photo of this fearsome foursome]." (See John Quaglione @JQuaglione, 3/11/17, Twitter [https://twitter.com/JQuaglione/status/840623253672591361]).
And there was this item on JQ's Facebook: "John Quaglione for City Council... coverage of this week's campaign kick-off event as reported by New Tang Dynasty Television, an important Chinese language television station in New York City [with videolink to NTD TV report]." (See John Quaglione for City Council, 3/11/17, Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/search/latest/?q=john%20quaglione]). John, the Communications Director, is showing off that Bob Capano isn't the only GOP candidate for the City Council that can get earned media.
Gail, you blew it. By changing just one letter, you could have given everybody out here a word picture that completely describes the current Quaglione campaign effort.
ReplyDeleteYour headline reads like this - 'QUAGS GOES AROUND THE WORLD FOR EARNED MEDIA'. Instead of that, you should have wrote it this way - 'QUAGS DOES AROUND THE WORLD FOR EARNED MEDIA'.
It also better tells what Quaglione was doing with these releases about the new Republican clubhouse along with the picture of himself and the three other guys and everybody with big smiles on their faces.
By the looks of those pictures it looks like the Brooklyn GOP barely managed to get ten people--probably a stretch, to show up for that event.
ReplyDeleteNew Tang Dynasty TV is earned media? Is the Hungarian vote next?
ReplyDeleteIf the asian vote in GOP primary exceeds 1% it would be a miracle.
Is quag as dumb as he looks?
comment above fails to understand that if you get 1% of this vote and 1% of that vote you end up with 2% of the vote
ReplyDeleteI hear Quaglione ia going to show raising $80,000 to put McCabe and Capano out of their misery. .
ReplyDeleteWhere did you hear that, John?
ReplyDeleteMcCabe and Capano need to drop out by Friday
ReplyDeleteI heard Quaglione has raised $8,000,000 from the same pollster who had data showing Quaglione winning by a landslide in 2013.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the Facebook and Twitter material that McCabe, Quaglione and Capano have posted lately, you would think that these people have absolutely nothing going on in their lives since their last NYC Council fundraisers.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't John Quaglione have any friends that aren't Republican leaders or guests at his fundraiser, or that don't have very very sick children? Is Quag running for City Council or trying out to be the next host of the Jerry Lewis Telethon? The only thing I haven't see him do yet is give some poor kid's crying mom one of those poster sized checks.
Quags fundraiser was in a restaurant that was also open for other customers. Half the people in the picture were there for the veal.
ReplyDeleteIs Marty going to endorse Quaglione after the primary? Donovan didnt blink
ReplyDeletePicture in Castimides run for mayor without the money and living in another city. Thats what Capano is.
ReplyDeleteCapano and his wife are far better looking than Catsamatides and his brood.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt about it 4:47
ReplyDeleteCapano will cruz to victory on his good looks
Capano looks like a combination of Buddy Hackett & Tottie Fields
ReplyDeleteIf they ever remake the 1966 Batman series, Capano is odds on favorite to play the Penguin. Ack! Ack! Ack!
ReplyDelete
