CAPANO PAYS FOR HALF-PAGE AD SAYING “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” —  DECRIES NEW CONDITIONS THAT HAMSTRING & ENDANGER POLICE OFFICERS  —  CALLS ON CITY GOVERNMENT TO “...  SUPPORT OUR NYPD, AND STOP PROMOTING POLICIES THAT HAND-CUFF OUR COPS AND ARE MAKING OUR CITY LESS SAFE...”

Meanwhile, there are rumors that things AGAIN aren’t going very well in court for Marty Golden and his attempts to take over the Brooklyn GOP

Sometimes things just fall into place; and that’s how it is at the beginning of this Easter weekend. A couple of my BSI’s contacted me by phone and E-mail with a couple of interesting leads.

BOB CAPANO

First, I got word that Bob Capano did another advertising buy. The ad appears in this week’s “ Bay Ridge Courier” on page five (5).

Capano’s ad hits all of the right “Law & Order” themes that mean so much to the people of Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights: Bob’s ad mentions surveys showing that Brooklynites feel that their lifestyles are going down; and that they’re feeling “less safe”; it mentions Bob’s strong familial ties to the NYPD in Police Precincts covering Bay Ridge and nearby neighborhoods; and police surveys showing that cops feel a need to pull back due to lawsuits and non-support by NYC government.

Bob Capano shows, yet again, that he now knows that becoming a Member of the NY City Council is a process of building – building – building.

In this instance, Bob shows that he is not content to sit back and enjoy the “blue ribbon” treatment that he got from the “Kings County Politics” blog earlier this week >>>  in an interview piece Bob set up for John Catsimatidis (See “John Catsimatidis Interview: Discusses Presidential Election And City Politics” by Staff Writers, 3/22/16, Kings County Politics [http://www.kingscountypolitics.com/john-catsemedies-supermarket-barron-moderate-nyc-republican/]). The most important part of the laudatory mention of Capano in that article was the obvious nod from the Big-Cat Man in favor of Bob’s prospective candidacy for the City Council spot in Southwest Brooklyn.

MEANWHILE  —   “THE LAWSUIT”  —   COURT SAYS GOLDEN STILL OVER 100 VOTES SHORT —  PLUS THE GOLDEN STAFF & FRAUDULENT PROXIES ISSUE IS STILL ALIVE & KICKING

Also going forward to Easter and a spring of blooming glory  — RUMOR HAS IT that things are again not going very well for Marty Golden in court. This time, it’s about his second attempt to take over the whole Brooklyn GOP establishment, by hook or crook. According to my sources and E-courts notations, on March 21st the NYS Supreme Court handed down a ruling saying that the “Golden faction” was still over a hundred delegates short in its attempt to take over the Brooklyn GOP.

The word going forward is that April 6th is a big day because Justice Edgar Walker will set up a hearing schedule that might well require the testimony of Marty Golden and all of his staff, including the Kings County Conservative Party Chairman Jerry Kassar, to testify how Marty Golden and his folks went about getting his proxies for the Brooklyn Republican Party Convention in 2015.

Since the KCRP side says that they have evidence that Marty Golden and/or his staff were directly involved in the fraudulent inducement of certified Brooklyn GOP delegates, this should be a very interesting hearing schedule indeed..

Linda Sarsour goes to internet and social media against proposals by leading Republican Presidential Candidates in the wake of terrorist slaughter by Islamists in Brussels

Sarsour attacks policing proposal by Ted Cruz, which was endorsed by Donald Trump —   among other reasons, because she says it would lead to patrols of armed vigilantes in the streets of Bay Ridge

Where do you stand on re-instituting the NYPD program of surveillance with operatives inside Mosques, “Cultural Centers” and student groups now that there’s a clear and present danger of Islamist terrorists worldwide ???

Yesterday, local Bay Ridge Islamist activist, Linda Sarsour, who is also active in Democrat politics elsewhere in Brooklyn and the rest of New York City, made news in the national media by attacking Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.....

Well, sort of.....

Sarsour was quoteded deep inside an article in the conservative Republican internet news journal, the “Daily Caller.”   According to an article in the DC by Josh Bennett,  “....  Executive director of the Arab American Association of New York Linda Sarsour told The Associated Press she is scared of armed vigilantes ‘who are emboldened by the commentary from people like Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.’...  ‘What’s scaring me more is the kind of potential fueling of these vigilantes and people who might want to take up arms and go patrol Muslim neighborhoods,’ she said....”

THE BACKGROUND

The devastating atrocities in Brussels prompted GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz to recommend a surveillance program formerly embraced by the New York Police Department for use in Muslim communities across the USA. Speaking Tuesday in New York, Cruz praised the city's former program of conducting surveillance in Muslim neighborhoods. He called for its reinstatement and said it could be a model for police departments nationwide.

After the attacks on the World trade Center on 9/11/01, the NYPD began developing Muslim informants to infiltrate the local Muslim community and make any observations indicating radical activities or Islamic radicalism generally. As 9/11 slipped into the past, there were a litany of lawsuits and accusations of unfair racial profiling the NYPD program was shut down.

In his recommendation that the program be re-instituted, Ted Cruz said that  “New Yorkers want a safe and secure America.... New Yorkers saw firsthand the tragic consequences of radical Islamic terrorism.”

Donald Trump backed Cruz’s proposal 100 percent in an interview that he gave to CNN on Tuesday.

Judicial Watch releases State Department documents that are DEVASTATING TO FORMER SECRETARY OF STATE HILLARY CLINTON

Two days after Benghazi attack, Libyan President sought meeting with former U.S. President Bill Clinton in connection with a Clinton Foundation event  —  that event was held before any meeting between Libyan President and Secretary of State Clinton to discuss the murder of the U.S. Ambassador and the Benghazi  attacks

Connection made between Libyan President, Bill Clinton AND the Clinton Global Initiative  —  All of it cleared by HRC’s State Department Staff

Gives completely new meaning to Hillary’s line,  “What difference does it make....”  —   Since it was mostly about the MONEY all along.....

According to a release by Judicial Watch today, two hundred seventy-six pages (276 pp.) of internal State Department documents revealed that “... [W]ithin two days of the deadly terrorist attack on Benghazi, Mohamed Yusuf al-Magariaf, the president of Libya’s National Congress, asked to participate in a Clinton Global Initiative function and ‘meet [former] President Clinton.’  The meeting between the Libyan president and Bill Clinton had not previously been disclosed.  The documents also show Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s staff coordinated with the Clinton Foundation’s staff to have her thank Clinton Global Initiative project sponsors for their ‘commitments’ during a Foundation speech on September 25, 2009....”  (See “Judicial Watch: New Clinton Documents Raise Questions on Benghazi, Clinton Foundation” by Staff Writers, 3/22/16, Judicial Watch/ Press Room [http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-new-clinton-documents-raise-questions-on-benghazi-clinton-foundation/]).

WHAT THE STATE DEPARTMENT RECORDS SHOWED

On September 13, 2012 (less than a day after the attacks in Benghazi resulting in the deaths of four Americans, including the U.S, Ambassador), Libyan President al-Magariaf’s advisor Dr. Fathi Nuah wrote to the Clinton Foundation’s Director of Foreign Policy,  Amitabh Desai, as follows:  “Dr. Almagariaf will be addressing the United Nations this September in New York as the Libyan Head of State, and he expressed a wish to meet President Clinton and to participate at the Clinton Global Initiative meeting for New York as well.”

Four hours later, Mr. Desai of the Clinton Global Initiative E-mailed Hillary Clinton’s Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills and asked her,  “Would USG [U.S. Government] have concerns about Libyan President being invited to CGI [Clinton Global Initiative]? Odd timing, I know.”

The Secretary of State’s Chief of Staff Mills E-mailed back to the representative of the Clinton Global Initiative: “We would not have issues.” (Remember — this was the very same day that the U.S. Ambassador had been murdered in President al-Magariaf’s country).

Four days later, on September 17th 2012,  Desai emailed Mills again, telling Secretary Clinton’s Chief of Staff that the Libyan president was “... asking for a meeting with WJC [William Jefferson Clinton] next week.”  The Clinton Global Initiative Representative Desai also specifically asked Mills, a State Department employee,  “Would you recommend accepting or declining the WJC meeting request?”   The State Department apparently had no objection to the meeting, because on September 26th 2012, CGI Rep Desai E-mailed Mills, “He had a v good meeting with Libya …”

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Libyan President al-Magariaf did not have a meeting to discuss Benghazi until September 24th 2012, after the CGI event.....

OTHER CLINTON FOUNDATION FUND RAISING EVENTS 

The documents released by Judicial Watch also contained an August 2009 E-mail chain, which included E-mails from Hillary Clinton’s top staffer Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and HRC’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Jake Sullivan, that showed HRC’s  State Department staff coordinated with Clinton Foundation staff as to how Secretary of State Clinton would thank Foundation supporters/partners for their “commitments” to the foundation.  Mills went so far as to ask Foundation Representative Desai for a “list of commitments during whole session so [Secretary Clinton] can reference more than those [occurring] just around her speech.”

WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT

According to the folks at Judicial Watch, this documentation is significant for the following reasons:  “....  These new State Department documents show Hillary Clinton and her State aides were involved in fundraising for the Clinton Foundation.  It is also incredible that the Libyan president would call and meet Bill Clinton through the Clinton Foundation before meeting Hillary Clinton about Benghazi.....  ‘Secretary of State Hillary Clinton worked hand in glove with the Clinton Foundation on fundraising and foreign policy.  Despite the law and her promises to the contrary, Hillary Clinton turned the State Department into the DC office of the Clinton Foundation.’...   Judicial Watch’s FOIA lawsuit has become particularly noteworthy because it has been reported that the Clinton Foundation, now known as the Bill, Hillary, & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, accepted millions of dollars from at least seven foreign governments while Mrs. Clinton served as Secretary of State.  The Clinton Foundation has acknowledged that a $500,000 donation it received from the government of Algeria while Mrs. Clinton served as Secretary of State violated a 2008 ethics agreement between the foundation and the Obama administration.  Some of the foreign governments that have made donations to the Clinton Foundation include Algeria, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman, have questionable human rights records.”

Earlier this evening [oops, just missed it, make that "Early last evening..."] Lucretia Potter sent out an E-mail addressed to  “Executive Committee Members” advising them that  “...  [A]ny emails or newsletters coming under the heading of "Brooklyn GOP News" are not an officially authorized group. This group is not authorized by the Executive Committee of the Kings County Republican Party under the Chairmanship of Arnaldo A. Ferraro....”

The E-mail went on to indicate “....  If you need any further clarification, please call our office at 718-256-4414....”; and further, that Mrs. Potter was sending the electronic missive in her capacity as:  “...  Secretary, Kings County Republican Party...”

IS THERE MORE HERE THAN MEETS THE EYE  —   OR LESS ???

If nothing else, Potter’s E-mail is intriguing.....

No doubt, it has the Imprimatur of  “County Chairman” Arnaldo Ferraro.

I wonder what it is that they are complaining about.

Now — It really looks like Hillary Clinton Has a Very Serious NSA — AND — FBI Problem

At least two agencies integral to U.S. National Security are keenly interested and “openly” involved in the investigation of Hillary Rodham Clinton for serious breaches of “National Security” concerning her E-mails and other electronic communications practices

Remember the ads from years ago that went something like this:  “Peek Freans are a very serious cookie...” ?   Well, it turns out that the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s E-mails and related matters for “National Security” breaches is one very serious investigation; and it involves at least two very serious “National Security” agencies  —  the FBI and the NSA.

Anybody who wants to stay on top of these matters needs to read an article by John R. Schindler that appeared yesterday on the “Observer.com” blog (See “Hillary Has an NSA Problem” by John R. Schindler, 3/18/16, Observer/ News & Politics [observer.com/2016/03/hillary-has-an-nsa-problem]). This is a lengthy and detailed piece that brings everything in the public record about Hillary’s E-mails and related problems into clear focus.

Basically, the article more than suggests that Hillary Clinton, Sidney Blumenthal and Tyler Drumheller [now deceased] were operating a private intelligence service while Mrs. Clinton was Secretary of State. Also, that for some reason, Hillary Clinton and Sidney Blumenthal sent some very secret material from that private intelligence operation over open channels, ie., Hillary’s "private" E-mail system and other unsecure devices.

Furthermore, based on other communications in the public record, Hillary Clinton knew full-well what she was doing, did it intentionally, and she risked “National Security” by doing so. The only open question seems to be >>> WHY <<< Hillary Clinton was so insistent on doing something so patently WRONG --- and ---  intuitively probably very ILLEGAL, to boot.

TYLER DRUMHELLER  [CONVENIENTLY FOR MANY  —  BECAME SUDDENLY DECEASED]

A former CIA operative, Tyler Drumheller, was involved in several of Hillary Clinton’s scandals.  In addition to his being the source of several of Hillary Clinton’s more than “Top Secret” NSA-related intelligence material that appeared in her unsecured E-mails, an analysis of Hillary’s E-mail traffic indicated that Mr. Drumheller was a major source of HRC’s information about the opposition to Muammar Gaddafy in Libya and about conditions in and near the city of Benghazi.

Unfortunately for those wanting to explore the Hillary Clinton-Sydney Blumenthal-Tyler Drumheller connection, Mr. Tyler Drumheller died suddenly in August 2015; and that was shortly after it was indicated by Trey Gowdy’s Benghazi Committee that an interview and possibly a subpoena of Tyler Drumheller was being considered.

Is Brooklyn GOP State Senator MARTY GOLDEN getting ready to BOLT the REPUBLICAN PARTY ???

Golden bucks the Republican Senate leadership and balks at the GOP Caucus budget proposal on the City University funding formula  ---  Republican-Conservative Golden lines up with liberal Dems like Debbie Glick and Liz Kreuger and AGAINST "his" nominal Republican leadership

Strange things are happening; and even some local Democrats are wondering why

According to a report appearing today on-line from the Wall Street Journal,  "it came as no surprise this week when New York's Senate backed Gov. Andrew Cuomo's proposal to cut state funding to the City University of New York....   Few in Albany were prepared, however, when the [Republican led State] Senate, in its own budget proposal, criticized CUNY's handling of alleged anti-Semitism.... In light of the issue, the Senate said it is denying funding until it is satisfied with the school's response 'and this difficult and atrocious situation is adequately addressed.'..."  (See "Fight over CUNY Funding Takes Unforeseen Turn" by Mike Vilensky, 3/17/16, WSJ/ NY Politics [http//www.wsj.com/articles/fight-over-cuny-funding-takes-unforeseen-turn-1458173768]).

BUT BROOKLYN'S MARTY GOLDEN ODDLY BALKED  ---  AND TURNED ON HIS GOP SENATE LEADERS & COLLEAGUES ON THIS ONE  ---  WITH GOLDEN CALLING THE GOP'S POSITION WITHOUT MERIT  & "POLITICALLY MOTIVATED"

The WSJ article, quoted above, went on to observe the following: "in an unusual move, Sen. Marty Golden, the only Senate Republican who represents Brooklyn, rebuked his fellow Republicans' proposal, calling it politically motivated....  Mr. Golden said in an interview Wednesday that CUNY's response to allegations of anti-Semitism 'is not an issue at all. The issue here is a matter of funding, future,'...and we need that funding for our kids' future.'... He said he believed the Senate was simply trying to pressure Democrats into agreeing to other proposals by threatening the funding cut...."

Golden's stab in the back to the GOP earned him a quick rebuttal from the GOP Senate Leadership. According to the WSJ's Mike Viletsky,  "....  A spokesman for Senate Minority Leader John Flanagan defended the [upper chamber Republicans' stance on the CUNY funding].  'This is an important issue....  We are taking a stand against anti-Semitism, wherever it exists...."

In another report,  "State Sen. Ken LaValle, who chairs the [NYS Senate's Committee on Higher Education], said the cost shift [on CUNY] would 'send a message' to CUNY's administration. That Marty Golden has long been out-of-step [and often in open rebellion] with his Brooklyn GOP leaders, both in his home district and county-wide, is no secret: it has often been reported-on in posts and comments on this blog. However, NYSSMG's going off the reservation from the Republican leadership of the State Senate --- with several members openly pushing back ---  NOW THAT'S SOMETHING NEW AND DIFFERENT.

As leading Brooklyn Republicans are getting ready to prepare their slates of Republican candidates to try to fill all of the spots on the ballot throughout Golden's  senate district from Bay Ridge to Kings Plaza, one of their open discussions concerns what "deals" Marty has made with various incumbent Democrat office holders in his district, and even a possible "Bigger Deal" with the Democrats' county boss Frank Seddio.

IN LIGHT OF ALL THIS  ---  THESE QUESTIONS ABOUT STATE SENATOR GOLDEN DO ARISE AT THIS TIME

Is the complete absence of any Democrat opposition to Golden's present attempt at re-election the result of a new "Bigger Deal" with Democrat higher-ups in Brooklyn and/or Albany ?  And is Golden's distancing himself from GOP leaders in Albany part of that "Bigger Deal" with and for Golden's getting his easier ride inside his district ?

City University funding formulas are a very big deal to many political constituencies in NYC and in Albany;  is that very big deal part of a "Bigger Deal" for an easy ride for Golden in 2016 ?   OR --- IS SOMETHING AFOOT THAT IS  A  "BIGGER-BIGGER DEAL" THAN ALL OF THAT ????   IS MARTY GETTING READY TO DO A WALK ON THE REPUBLICAN PARTY ??????   [ BTW, there is some more buzz on this that I am still working on with my Democrat sources.]

Will Bob Capano emerge as one of the leaders of a “New” Brooklyn GOP

He is one of the few Brooklyn Republicans who has been talking about stitching the Brooklyn Republican Party back together again

Meanwhile, Brooklyn Republican Bob Capano continues to rack up space in local newspapers ---  Part of that was by emerging as the only Republican “Leader” willing to speak out on topics of importance to the community 

Quite often lately, this blog has followed Robert Capano, the once and future GOP candidate for the City Council from Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and parts of neighboring areas. Largely, this blog has been focused on Bob’s recent effective use of the local media to accomplish two things: first, get his name back in front of the public after he had been a few years out of the limelight, but still very active in Brooklyn Republican politics; and second, to help take a leadership role in the Republican Party in 2016 and 2017 following repeated destructive assaults on the Republican organization in Brooklyn in 2013 and 2015. Capano’s success in that regard is manifest by the continuing coverage of his activities and comments in and by local newspapers.

The most recent of those items is a guest spot doing an opinion column in the Brooklyn Eagle (See “OPINION: Brooklyn conservative calls for 'Common Sense' to fight crime, help NYPD” by Bob Capano, 3/10/16, For The Brooklyn Daily Eagle [http://www.brooklyneagle.com/articles/2016/3/10/opinion-brooklyn-conservative-calls-common-sense-fight-crime-help-nypd]).

In that article, Capano basically said Mr. Paul Massey and  NY1 polling was exactly right.  “....  The vast majority of Brooklynites and New Yorkers, regardless of political party affiliation, fully support our NYPD and do not want to give our streets back to criminals. [Capano says that he knows] this is especially true in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst, where [he has] spent many years working closely with our 68th Precinct and local residents....”

Most important, Bob Capano stepped forward as one of the new Republican leaders in Brooklyn when he said the following: “....  This is why it is surprising that local Brooklyn Democratic leaders have remained silent in standing up to these far-left policies of Melissa Mark-Viverito. Common sense dictates that we do not mess with what has worked to make NYC safe, and we stop the experimentation with these far-left criminal justice reforms....”

RECENT MEETING WITH CAPANO AND ONE OF HIS SUPPORTERS

I recently met with Mr. Capano and one of his supporters in the leadership of the Brooklyn GOP.  Although most of that conversation was off the record, Capano did authorize me to observe that he wanted to work toward unifying the Brooklyn GOP and its Conservative Party allies for the 2016 election cycle, long before he intended to actively and specifically campaign for the City Council in 2017.

He noted that there were many things that Republican conservatives could do immediately to show that they are both present and active in Southwest Brooklyn. Lately, his chosen method has been to speak out as an active Brooklyn Republican, both in local papers and at organized meetings. These presentations were on a variety of topical subjects relevant to Brooklyn generally, and Southwest Brooklyn in particular.

On the practical political side, Capano said he was getting ready to announce several early members of his financial and political committees along with several other significant patrons who were committed to support his efforts going forward.

The other person present expressed his belief that Bob Capano’s plan to keep both his name and his positions on topical matters repeatedly before the public will be part of a triad of notable things that will keep Capano at or near the top of the Brooklyn GOP —  AND  —  way ahead of anybody else interested in joining the race for the City Council further down the road. The other two parts of that triad would be overwhelming financing for a Capano candidacy foe City Council; and a unifying  leadership presence inside a Brooklyn GOP rising from the ashes, most recently from the 2015 primary, convention and Bd. of Elections conflicts, and the 2016 lawsuit.

One moment in the “13-Hours...” of Benghazi just might lead to finding Hillary Rodham Clinton holding a “Smoking Gun”

Late on the night of September 11th 2012, after mentioning the deaths of two of her State Department operators to her daughter Chelsea, Secretary of State Clinton added this:   “....Very hard day and I fear more of the same tomorrow....” 

Why did Hillary Clinton say that AT THAT PARTICULAR MOMENT ???

Even at this late date, when the discussion turns toward former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s involvement, many if not most people would say something like  —   “BENGHAZI –  There was no smoking gun....” (See e.g., “Things we learned from 50,000-plus pages of Clinton emails” by Bradley Klapper & Matthew Lee, 3/5/16, Yahoo News/ Associated Press  [https://www.yahoo.com/news/things-learned-50-000-plus-pages-clinton-emails-080510407--election.html]).

Nonetheless, many of those same people have acknowledged that Hillary’s own E-mails contain some references to the events of the “13-Hours...” of Benghazi, which tie her into the narrative in many ways that are problematic for her. For example, Klapper and Lee in their AP article mentioned immediately above noted the following: that Secretary of State Clinton sent an E-mail to her daughter Chelsea at 11:12 PM on 9/11/12 which said, “Two of our officers were killed in Benghazi by an al-Qaida-like group: The Ambassador, whom I handpicked, and a young communications officer on temporary duty w(ith) a wife and two young children....”;  that  Hillary Clinton E-mailed that to her daughter, under Chelsea’s alias “Diane Reynolds”; and at that time,  the former Secretary of State also told her her daughter it was a “.... Very hard day and I fear more of the same tomorrow....”

According to Klapper and Lee, others, including the House Select Committee on Benghazi, have focused on that very E-mail ( See also “Hillary Clinton’s Email to Chelsea Stars in Benghazi Hearing” by Peter Nicholas, 10/22/15, Wall Street Journal/ Washington Wire [http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2015/10/22/hillary-clintons-email-to-chelsea-stars-in-benghazi-hearing/][this article contains a photocopy of the actual 9/11/12 E-mail chain between HRC & Chelsea]).  However, none of my research [internet searches] has turned up anybody that questioned Secretary Clinton's keen predictive powers, which, at very least, pointed toward the second concerted and well-orchestrated attack in Benghazi that caused the deaths of two more Americans and the severe wounding of others.

LET’S START WITH A TIMING REFERENCE FOR THE DAY & NIGHT OF THE BENGHAZI ATTACKS ON SEPTEMBER 11th  2012

“Benghazi in that season was six hours ahead of Washington. The attacks began about 9:45 P.M. in Benghazi, and went on intermittently all night, with the deadly mortar assault coming at about 5:15 A.M. It took another five hours, and then some, before the last of the survivors, assembled at the airport, along with the bodies of the four dead Americans, were flown out of Benghazi -- not by American forces, but aboard a Libyan C-130 military cargo plane. Thus the roughly 13 hours referred to in the title of the movie, from approximately 9:45 PM on the evening of Sept. 11, until about 10:30 A.M on the morning of Sept. 12....  In Washington, six hours behind, that timing corresponded to roughly 3:45 P.M. on Sept. 11 until 4:30 A.M., Sept. 12, with Americans killed during the first eight hours of this terrible span. When mortar fire killed Doherty and Woods, about 5:15 A.M. in Libya, it was about 11:15 P.M., Sept. 11, in Washington. In other words, on the White House clock, the assault in Benghazi began mid-afternoon, Washington time, and went on for the rest of the afternoon and the entire evening. It was close to midnight, Washington time, when the mortar onslaught killed Woods, who was based in Benghazi, and Doherty, who had flown in that night from Tripoli as part of a small rescue squad. HERE’S THE PROBLEM & HOW IT SUGGESTS WHY IT MIGHT LEAD TO THE PROVERBIAL “SMOKING GUN” IN HILLARY’S HAND

Without getting too far afield and/or too deeply into the weeds on this.....   How is it that, at 11:12 PM on 9/11/12,  Secretary Clinton was telling her daughter that she, the Secretary of State, feared more of the same the next day ?

At that MOMENT, the initial attacks on the State Department "Compound" in Benghazi had ceased, and the well-organized and precisely executed attacks on the Benghazi [CIA]  “Annex,” where HRC’s State Department personnel had gone seeking refuge, had only just begun. Or to put it another way, Ambassador Chris Stevens and “Information Specialist” Sean Smith were already dead, and Secretary Clinton did know that; but two other Americans, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were most likely still alive, although both were about to be killed at that very MOMENT while defending what was left of Hillary Clinton's staff in Benghazi.

How did Hillary Clinton know that very soon “...more of the same...” was coming in Benghazi from where she was in Washington, D.C.  --  at 11:12 PM on September 11th,  2012 ???

Noose Tightens on Hillary Clinton’s Neck in FBI’s E-mails Probe

According to the Washington Post (and other sources), HRC’s Information Tech Bryan Pagliano is NOW  cooperating in the FBI’s investigation of former Secretary of State & Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton’s private E-mail server & he has been given “immunity” in exchange for his “cooperation”

“.... With the completion of the email review, FBI investigators are expected to shift their focus on whether the highly sensitive government information, including top secret and other classified matters, found on Clinton's private email server constitutes a crime....”  —  CNN

HILLARY CLINTON EXPECTED TO BE QUESTIONED IN FBI PROBE

“The Justice Department has granted immunity to a former State Department staffer, who worked on Hillary Clinton’s private email server, as part of a criminal investigation into the possible mishandling of classified information, according to a senior law enforcement official....  The official said the FBI had secured the cooperation of Bryan Pagliano, who worked on Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign before setting up the server in her New York home in 2009....  As the FBI looks to wrap up its investigation in the coming months, agents are likely to want to interview Clinton and her senior aides about the decision to use a private server, how it was set up, and whether any of the participants knew they were sending classified information in emails, current and former officials said....”  ( See “Justice Dept. grants immunity to staffer who set up Clinton email server” by Adam Goldman, 3/2/16, Washington Post/ National Security

FBI’S INVESTIGATION IS FOR POSSIBLE CRIMES   —   “THERE WAS WRONGDOING...  BUT WAS IT CRIMINAL WRONGDOING?” —   NO INDICATION THAT MATERIAL HAS YET BEEN PUT BEFORE A GRAND JURY BY DOJ

The Wa-Po put everything into a clearer context with these observations: “....  So far, there is no indication that prosecutors have convened a grand jury in the email investigation to subpoena testimony or documents, which would require the participation of a U.S. attorney’s office....   As part of the inquiry, law enforcement officials will look at the potential damage had the classified information in the emails been exposed. The Clinton campaign has described the probe as a security review. But current and former officials in the FBI and at the Justice Department have said investigators are trying to determine whether a crime was committed.... ‘There was wrongdoing,” said a former senior law enforcement official. “But was it criminal wrongdoing?’...  Clinton has since apologized for what happened: ‘Yes, I should have used two email addresses, one for personal matters and one for my work at the State Department. Not doing so was a mistake. I’m sorry about it, and I take full responsibility.’...”

The Adam Goldman – Washington Post article also pointed out that  “....  So far, there is no indication that prosecutors have convened a grand jury in the email investigation to subpoena testimony or documents, which would require the participation of a U.S. attorney’s office.... ” [However, it should be noted that FBI investigators would have consulted with DOJ attorneys before any grant of immunity to Mr. Pagliano --- probably with some showing of proof concerning what his questioning/ testimony will reveal about the bigger case.]

CNN ALSO SEES IT AS A SEARCH FOR CRIMINAL ACTIVITY

Here’s how a CNN report addressed the issue of the FBI engaging in a criminal probe:  “.... With the completion of the email review, FBI investigators are expected to shift their focus on whether the highly sensitive government information, including top secret and other classified matters, found on Clinton's private email server constitutes a crime....  The emails released publicly show some Clinton aides sent the sensitive information, often from the State Department's unclassified email system, to others, and eventually to Clinton at her private email address.
