When questioned about the Blumenthal E-Mails, with a dismissive and disdainful sneer than passes for her plastic smile, Hillary dissembled — “I have many, many old friends....” — Then Hillary laid it on the line with one of her most imperious lines to date, “I’m going to keep talking to my old friends no matter who they are....”
The New York Post’s John Tabin tells a simple and strait-forward story about a few E-Mails — And what those E-Mails say about the people at each end of that pipeline, Hillary Clinton and Sidney Blumenthal
What policies might Sid Blumenthal seek to influence if he had the ear of a President Hillary Clinton ? — With no scruples between the two of them, there’s a whole world out there full of pet causes to champion and shady business opportunities to pursue — Now, THAT'S a conspiracy really worth thinking about !
There was a document drop on Friday by the U.S. State Department of many of Hillary Clinton’s E-mails. Before everybody starts going through all of the contortions and squinting necessary to make head or tail out of that mess, it would probably do some good to look back a little bit at what might be a sort of Rosetta Stone for the whole translation — a handful of Hillary Clinton and Sidney Blumenthal E-Mails that had been exchanged back when Libya and Benghazi were hotspots.. Those E-mails had already been released by the New York Times earlier this week.
EXCELLENT ANALYSIS OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE CLINTON – OFF-THE-BOOKS SPY SID BLUMETHAL FRIENDSHIP/CONSPIRACY FROM THE NEW YORK POST
A very succinct insight into the Blumenthal’s E-mails to then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is provided in an opinion piece in the Thursday, May 21st, New York Post by John Tabin (See “Hillary’s private spy and their shady foreign policy) by John Tabin, 5/20/15 [in print editions, 5/21/15], NY Post/ Opinion[http://nypost.com/2015/05/20/hillarys-private-spy-and-their-shady-foreign-policy/]).
According to Mr. Tabin’s report in the NY Post, “Hillary Clinton listens to Sid Blumenthal, and she doesn’t care who knows it.... Never mind that Clintonland’s longtime hatchet man fed her information at the State Department, which she then forwarded to her subordinates, that was often faulty and potentially corrupted by his business interests in Libya. Hillary makes no apologies [about any of that].... ‘I have many, many old friends,’ she chuckled when asked Tuesday about the e-mails that have emerged. ‘I’m going to keep talking to my old friends no matter who they are....’ Well, that settles that. Whether he has a job in government or not, {Hillary Clinton’s] old friend Sid will always have a place in the must-read folder of Hillary’s inbox....”
THE LIBYAN E-MAILS
You see, for good or ill, Sid Blumenthal’s e-mails on Libya, are written like intelligence cables; and Secretary of State Clinton gave them the sort of attention most other Secretaries of State would reserve for the professional analyses produced by The State Department’s own Bureau of Intelligence and Research. All of that suggests that Sidney Blumenthal served as one of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s a policy advisers, whether it was in an official capacity or not — And here’s why that’s very important.According to the Post’s John Tabin, “... [i]t didn’t matter that [Blumenthal had been] shut out of the current administration by an Obama team bitter about his tactics during the 2008 primary, which included circulating particularly vicious hit pieces about their boss. The Clintons put him on the payroll at the slush fund they laughably call a charity [The Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation], and he functioned [there] as an informal and highly dysfunctional adjunct to the intelligence community....”
SID BLUMENTHAL HAD EARNED SECRETARY OF STATE CLINTON’S LOYALTY, BECAUSE HE DID BILL AND HILLARY CLINTON’S “DIRTY WORK” OVER THE YEARS
“... [All of that] might be understandable if [Sidney Blumenthal] were merely giving advice on the nasty political tactics he’s best known for; Blumenthal has, after all, earned the Clintons’ loyalty with the sort of dirty work that makes other politicos blush.... Veteran Democratic strategist Bob Shrum wrote in his memoir that he witnessed Blumenthal working the phones in the Clinton White House, saying “that Monica Lewinsky was unreliable; she had a bad reputation around the White House; she’d been obsessed with the president; she was a stalker.”ISRAEL’S SUPPORTERS IN THE U.S.A. NOW NEED TO BE WORRIED ABOUT A HILLARY CLINTON PRESIDENCY
It is John Tabin’s view that “... [t]he alliance with Israel has taken a beating in the Obama years, and many in the pro-Israel community have been hoping that a Hillary Clinton presidency might mark a return to the more cordial relations between Jerusalem and Washington that prevailed during her husband’s tenure.... But if Sid Blumenthal has her attention, does that mean Hillary’s policy choices will be colored by Max Blumenthal’s view of Israel as a demon’s lair ? [Max Blumenthal is Sid’s son and has taken several virulently hostile positions viv a vis Israel.]....”It is a fair question to ask — What policies might slimy Sid [Blumenthal] seek to influence, if he were to have the president’s ear and there were no scruples at either end of the conversation ? As John Tabin says, “There’s a whole world out there full of pet causes to champion and shady business opportunities to pursue....” After all, what are old friendships like Sid Blumenthal’s and Hillary Clinton’s for ?

ReplyDeleteUPDATE: THE “ANOTHER VIEW OF THE HILLARY-BLUMENTHAL THING” EDITION
ReplyDeleteMAYBE HILLARY WAS SO NICE TALKING ABOUT SIDNEY BLUMENTHAL AND HIS E-MAILS IS THAT AS FAR AS HILLARY CLINTON IS CONCERNED — SIDNEY BLUMENTHAL IS THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN ALIVE....
“HERE’S LOOKING AT YOU, KID...”
“Old Clinton hands don't fade away. They always resurface.... That's the case with Sidney Blumenthal, the Clinton scandal veteran and purveyor of opposition research who turned up in a trove of Hillary Clinton e-mails at the center of the House Benghazi Committee's investigation into the attack that killed four Americans in Libya in 2012....” (See “What the resurfacing of Sidney Blumenthal says about Hillary Clinton” by Jonathan Allen, 5/23/15, VOX/ Politics [http://www.vox.com/2015/5/23/8647727/the-resurfacing-of-sidney-blumenthal]).
The Allen-VOX piece went on with comments like this: “... [T]he emails released by State do show that Blumenthal, who had no connection to the U.S. government, acted as an unofficial adviser to Clinton on Libya — and that she sent her own aides to chase down his leads, no matter how implausible....”
Even more important, Jonathan Allen made these observations and arrived at these conclusions as to “WHY CLINTON WON’T CAST [SIDNEY BLUMENTAL] ASIDE NOW” :
“... Now, there's even more reason for [Hillary] to hold Blumenthal close: He will appear before the Benghazi Committee. If she [were to] cut him loose, he might be less inclined to keep [Hillaery Clinton’s] best interests at heart when testifying....”
Hillary Clinton gave Sid Blumenthal this vote of confidence during her impromptu Tuesday press conference: "He has been a friend of mine for a long time. He sent me unsolicited e-mails which I passed on in some instances.... When you're in the public eye, when you're in an official position, I think you do have to work to make sure you're not caught in the bubble and you only hear from a certain small group of people. And I'm going to keep talking to my old friends, whoever they are...."
Don Corleone couldn’t have done or said it any better.... Only Boggie did, once, when he said, “Here’s looking at you, kid.”
UPDATE: THE “STILL MORE ABOUT HILLARY’S BENGHAZI E-MAILS AND SIDNEY BLUMENTHAL” EDITION
ReplyDeleteHILLARY CLINTON DOESN’T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT HER ENTANGLEMENTS AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST WHEN IT COMES TO SIDNEY BLUMENTHAL
According to Errol Louis, “The mere fact that Hillary Clinton's official emails were kept on her personal computer system is turning out to be one of the least important things about them. What matters most about this first batch of messages released by the State Department is that they reveal Clinton, as secretary of state, at the center of a tangled web of connections and conflicts of interest between public and private actors....” (See “Hillary Clinton's emails: A tangled mix of conflicts?” by Errol Louis, 5/25/15, CNN Political/ Commentator [http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/24/opinions/louis-hillary-clinton-sid-blumenthal-emails/]).
The article goes on to state this: “... [T]he recently released emails show [Sidney] Blumenthal was back on Clinton duty at the height of the crisis that engulfed Libya in the chaotic months following the 2011 overthrow and death of ex-dictator Moammar Gadhafi, sending a stream of detailed memos to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about the ins and outs of the power struggle among Libyan leaders seeking to replace Gadhafi.... Blumenthal's missives featured information on what he called private statements and thoughts of Yussef el Magariaf, a well-known leader of the opposition to Gadhafi who eventually became president of Libya's General National Congress and served as de facto leader of the country for about a year....”
Errol Louis asks these important questions: “The cozy arrangement raises big red flags. For starters, why was a non-government official -- one apparently barred from working for the State Department -- sending sensitive information to Clinton that hadn't been vetted by government officials? *** And how did Blumenthal get to be an expert on Libyan politics? ...”
None of this helps with a public that does not see Hillary Clinton as honest and straightforward. And Errol Louis says that Hillary Clinton needs to change that very quickly if she wants to become president.
