Follow-up to yesterday's post — GOVERNMENT’S RESPONSE TO JUDICIAL WATCH’S REPORT ON ISIS OPERATIONS IN JUAREZ, MEXICO: MOVE ALONG ! — STOP LOOKING AT THE U.S.-MEXICO BORDER — NOTHING IS HAPPENING THERE — SUDDENLY, EVEN THE “HUMANITARIAN CRISIS” OF UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN AT THE BORDER IS “OVER FOR NOW” ! — JUST, MOVE ALONG ! MOVE ALONG ! NOTHING IS HAPPENING THERE !

Feds DENY watchdog group's claim that the terror group is operating in Juarez; and that there are plans for “imminent” car-bomb attacks on US targets

Three online reports warned Friday of ISIS involvement south of the border, including one from Judicial Watch that also cited 'imminent' car-bomb attacks  —  The Department of Homeland Security and the White House quickly denied that they have any information about ISIS gathering an attack force in Mexico

Judicial Watch quickly responded that all the Fed’s remarks were not a direct or effective denial  of that group’s report  —   also that “ [The Obama Administration] would have an interest in minimizing, downplaying and withholding the information to distract from "the disaster on the border and the national security threat there.”

Oddest statement of the day was by Obama’s Press Secretary and Chief Spokesman Josh Earnest, who told reporters on Friday that America's border crisis is over “for now”  —   What is even odder, the White House announcement of the end of a “Humanitarian Crisis” on the U.S.  Southern Border was not deemed to be big news by the Mainstream Media.

Not very long after the story of ISIS operations just south-of-the-border, down Mexico way began making the rounds yesterday, this appeared in the Daily Mail: “The Department of Homeland Security quickly denied claims on Friday from a watchdog group that the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) has militants stationed in Juarez, Mexico who plan an 'imminent' attack against the United States. ***  A DHS spokesman was bewildered, telling MailOnline that 'we are aware of absolutely nothing credible to substantiate this claim' made by Judicial Watch, a center-right group....” (See “ISIS in Mexico? Feds DENY watchdog group's claim that the terror group is operating in Juarez and plans 'imminent' car-bomb attacks on US targets” by  David Martosko ( US political editor for mailonline), 8/29/14 [http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2738113/ISIS-Mexico-Feds-DENY-watchdog-group-s-claim-terror-group-operating-Juarez-plans-imminent-car-bomb-attacks-US-targets.html]  [@MailOnline on Twitter/ | DailyMail on Facebook]). That article in the Daily Mail, also specifically quoted the DHS spokesman, as follows: “‘In Mexico?’ the official said on the phone. ‘I haven't seen that at all.’”

In response to the denials by various officials in the Obama Administration, the president  of the watchdog group Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton. Whose group broke the original story about the ISIS-Juarez connection, said in an interview that his group’s sources were “golden” and called the any of the government's insistence to the contrary to be “so dishonest.”  Fitton told the MailOnline that “It's a non-denial denial....” he told MailOnline.  Specifically quoting Homeland Security Secretary  Johnson's use of words like “credible” and “specific,” Fitton said, 'You could drive a truck bomb through that loophole....” Adding, “DHS has not denied our story.”

Fitton also explained why the Obama Administration might be motivated to dissemble about the Judicial Watch’s ISIS-Juarez report, saying, “'I can't say who in Washington knows about this.... But to be sure, this is exactly the type of information that this administration would have an interest in minimizing, downplaying and withholding, to distract from the disaster on the border and the national security threat there.”

STRANGELY, THIS WAS NOT SEEN A BIG NEWS EVENT BY THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA  —   END OF “HUMANITARIAN CRISIS” OF CHILDREN ON THE BORDER “FOR NOW”

The Daily Mail report ended with a bizarre and under-reported claim by Obama’s Press Secretary and Chief Spokesman Josh Earnest, who told reporters on Friday that inexplicably America's border crisis is over “for now.” Glenn Beck's The Blaze gave the announcement somewhat more coverage -- clearly Josh Earnest was talking about the so-called "humanitarian crisis" of  "unaccompanied minors" that had flooded our southern boundary with Mexico, largely along the Texas-Mexico Border ( See "White House spokesman says border crisis over ‘for now’" by Peter Kasperawicz, 8/29/14,  The Blaze/ The Furnace [http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2014/08/29/white-house-spokesman-says-border-crisis-over-for-now/#]). Internet searches disclose that, thus far, these remarks by the President's Press Secretary have not received significant  coverage by the mainstream press of other major media outlets.

  2. The above is a very thoughtful comment and refreshing in light of the intoleranc Mr. Massey has inexplicably permitted on this blog in recent days. I trust your belief in children extends equally to the third generation son of a police officer sitting in a Xaverian classroom as well as to the undocumented teen on Church subsidy at. Cristo Rey in Bushwick; to the children splashing around in the hot sun today at the Surf Club as well as to the unaccompanied youngsters who have walked shoeless for weeks in that same hot sun to come to our country. All of them equally are our future.

  3. UPDATE: THE “MEANWHILE AMERICA CONTINUES TO BE HUMILIATED AROUND THE WORLD AS OBAMA REGIME FOCUSES ON GOLF AND FUND-RAISING” EDITION

ABANDONED U.S. EMBASSY IN LIBYA TAKEN OVER BY ISLAMIST REBELS

PRESIDENT INTERRUPTS GOLF “SABBATICAL” FOR DEMOCRATIC PARTY FUND-RAISING EVENTS

According to a report in the International Business Times, “Libyan rebels fighting for Operation Dawn, a coalition of Islamist and Misrata forces, stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli Sunday, breaking into its buildings and swimming in its pools, as shown in a video on YouTube. *** The U.S. closed its embassy in June and evacuated its staff amid escalating violence between rival militias....” ( See “Rebels In Libya Storm US Embassy Buildings In Tripoli” by Erin Banco, 8/31/14, International Business Times [http://www.ibtimes.com/rebels-libya-storm-us-embassy-buildings-tripoli-1674656] [@ErinBancoe.banco@ibtimes.com]). The IBT report also contained the following tweet by Assia Amry @Libyan4life: “US Ambassador to #Libya @SafiraDeborah says bldg in video appears to be annex belonging to Embassy but can't confirm bc she's not in #Libya 10:24 AM - 31 Aug 2014"

A computer search has not been able to uncover any indication that President Obama is aware of any of this, or that it is interrupting any of his normal Labor Day Weekend plan — golf, fund raising, golf, golf, golf.... No doubt he’ll learn about it when he gets back to reading the morning newspapers in the fall.

Why does this black guy in the ill-fitting beige suit have ANY gray hair ?

  4. I agree with the first two comments. Its all about the kids.

We should triple the amount of money spent on education, cut social security, and show the movie "Soilent Green" in all schools

  6. Gail, I have an great idea thanks to this new holy roller your letting run wild on this blog.

The "the undocumented teen on Church subsidy at. Cristo Rey in Bushwick" sure sounds like an "illegal" involved in some church's R.I.C.O. operation to violate U.S. Immigration Laws. Arrest the illegals, put them in concentration camps prior to deportation; arrest all the reverend busybodies for R.I.C.O. violations, put them in prison for some hard time; and confiscate all the the property connected to the illegal enterprise as Federal contraband.

That would be a good start on dealing with our broken immigration system.

  7. The Cuomos have a history of getting Republicans elected to replace them.

    Astorino takes it.

  8. I agree. And I do wish Mr. Massey would write about this primary which could likely be significant to the Republicans gaining the Governor's seat. That seems far more relevant to the Brooklyn Republican Party than discussing internecine bickering among men whose arguments are rivaled only by that famous Irish movie where they slug it out through Innisfree often stopping at the pubs along the way only to accomplish nothing in the end.

  9. Terrorists on the border and the takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli (not just a "mission" like in Benghazi) are a little more important to what is left of the Republic than the internecine fights of Republican and/or Democrat partisans in New York State.

  10. Yes, Mr. Massey you are correct. But you can't save the world and anyway that could all very well be a conspiracy theory reminiscent of those stories set forth on the public by the fine men of the JBS. Focusing on a potential Rob Astorino upset by looking first at the Democratic primary and galvanizing your comrades into action could prove beneficial to your party. And it will make up for the very unstatesmen-like behavior of the Bay Ridge Republicans during last year's Republican run for Brooklyn D.A. An unpardonable sin, as I see it.

  11. I concur with the annoying comments 2 spaces up. To revive the GOP in NYS it needs to take the Governors mansion and the only path for Astorino is Teachout.

If NY does get a GOP Governor its important that the Conservative party dosent loot the whole operation like Pataki let him.
