These people didn't make themselves victims --- but they did participate and cooperate in their own victimhood

Yes and No !!!
One was described as a "Teddy Bear" in the Drive-by Obituarues following his untimely and, as yet unexplained, death.....

The other was quoted as saying that he identified-with and was comforted-by things like Teddy Bears

Maybe so !!!!!   But the arrangement between these two guys was the result of outside juxtaposition, manipulation, and exploitation for an amalgam of political ends and personal pecuniary gain  ---  against all odds, their arrangement lasted for years.....  But was it good for either one of them ???

Say what ?????

Well, here is a "before" photo of Bistreich

and a "before" photo of Brian Fox

Fox with the Rundells in happier days
before the ravages of Brooklyn
GOP  & Conservative Party
politics and other stuff
left Brian broken
and alone

for comparison.....

Forget about the sturm und drang of Brian Fox's last day or days  ---  and even the spinning-spinning-spinning by Liam McCabe on that last day and the days following.  Leave that to the ME and police investigators.....

Also forget about the grift by Michael Bistreich and his mom ( $850,000 gross --  but probably well below $500,000 net)....

The real human tragedy and scandals here are the way that Fox and Bistreich both had been used and abused by the people they trusted the most  ---  the likes of Kassar, McCabe, Seravalli, and their women's auxiliary Vella-Marrone and  Moore (since Bistreich's mom, Kathie Addeo Bistreich. is an intrinsic part of the Bistreich component, there is nothing auxiliary about her at all).

Who had been doing it for the money, who for the politics, and who for some of both is becoming clearer every day.

That's why Kassar and McCabe want a lid on YKW's casket ASAP, along with the on-the-sidelines buddies and somebodies, like Golden and Ghorra  ---  because the Fox death  >>>  the Fox scandal  >>>  everybody else's scandal in the Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party  >>>  and their favored and so-often-recommended paid consultants, probably the biggest scandal of all, wrt Fox and everything else.....

Remember, when in doubt  >>>  "It's all about the money."

  3. Did Brian Fox not have a life before he moved to Bayridge and Liam used him for matching funds? Who was Brian Fox? Where did he come from? I guess now we'll never know? How sad

  4. Everybody, we really do need to "circle back" to Brian Fox's life and death for a more complete look at the man than all of the insubstantial nonsense and imprecise factual material that has been put out by Liam McCabe and a few others that say they "knew" Brian Fox.

It's very clear that somebody using the name "Brian Fox" made some kind of splash in Bay Ridge politics during the COVID and post-COVID years from about the end of 2020 until the Ari Kagan campaign in 2023.

For all that we know, or think that we know about him: who Brian Fox really might have been; where Brian Fox really came from; what, if anything, Brian Fox actually accomplished in his 34 years; how Brian Fox really lived and conducted his life; and/or whether everything in his short life, including his untimely death, rated even a tiny footnote all remain problematic and unresolved.

In the just under a week since the man died, all that we have is conjecture as to how Brian Fox died. The man called "Brian Fox" had a life that was largely a mystery; and thus far, the man called "Brian Fox" has a death that is completely shrouded in mystery.

  5. The guy weighed 400 pounds and smoked cigarettes. Whats the mystery?

  6. I don't feel good about this. Liam used Brian Fox like a toy and now Liam gets to write his obituary? we know nothing about the man ! Who WAS Brian Fox ?

  7. 1105, you are short at least two or three bad lifestyle choices and extreme physical stressors, which together with what you described caused Brian Fox to be in a morbid phyisical state that was obvious to everybody; however most 34 year-old men, even in the same morbid condition as Brian Fox, don't just "... die[ ] at home in [their] sleep, [and have it described that way multiple times] according to Liam McCabe...."

Remember, according to Liam McCabe's own account thus far, Liam himself might have been the last person to speak to Brian Fox on the day that he died; and Liam never did explain how he knew that Brian Fox "died at homw in his sleep".

That's what makes the circumstances of Brian Fox's death all so suspicious, or as 950 said above, "... a death that is completely shrouded in mystery...."

  8. 127, very important point that on November 9th, Liam McCabe did say, "It is with great sadness that I have just learned that my good friend and former city council candidate, Brian Fox passed away in his sleep at home in #Bay Ridge last night...." and at the same time in the same announcement Liam also said this: "Just last night I spoke to Brian on the phone about his plans for the future and he left the conversation with his usual jovial chuckle and a promise to 'circle back'...."

And all of that was further memorialized in a report in the Brooklyn Paper on November 10th as follows: "Brian Fox, a former Republican city council candidate, reportedly died at his Bay Ridge home on Nov. 8.... Fox’s former campaign manager, Liam McCabe, posted on Facebook on Nov. 9, announcing that Fox died in his sleep at his home on Wednesday night at age 34...."

  9. If Liam McCabe was the last person to speak with a living breathing Brian Fox then I assume he will be the subject of an investigation

  10. "leaving to mourn family and friends"?
How impersonal and disconnected can you get?

  11. Ari Kagan posted this on Twitter (X) early on Thursday evening of election week:

"Ari Kagan@AriKagan47... Was saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Brian Fox today. Brian was one of the first people to get behind my run. He was always optimistic and I will remember his smile. My thoughts and prayers are with his family tonight. RIP, Brian.
    5:40 PM · Nov 9, 2023...."

Scant mention of Brian Fox's duties in the 2023 Kagan campaign for City Council; maybe Brian was doing a lot less for Kagan than he wanted people to think; or Kagan after the fact, wanted to disconnect somewhat from Fox.

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 9:23 PM"

IT LOOKS LIKE THIS MIGHT BE SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW AND DIFFERENT --- ACCORDING TO LIAM --- BRIAN FOX HAD HIS ROOTS IN BROOKLYN AT BIRTH..... WHO KNEW ??? !!!

If there is no Brian Fox, then how could Liam say that Brian Fox was "Born in Brooklyn... (See "brian fox brooklyn and brian fox bay ridge" November 10, 2023. FSK HUB [https://www.fskhub.com/news-cause-of-death/brian-fox-brooklyn-and-brian-fox-bay-ridge]).

  16. A 2-hour "visitation" next Sunday noon won't cost any $10k.

  17. "how could Liam say that Brian Fox was "Born in Brooklyn... "

    Well, that's a new one.

  18. I have an easier time believing Brian's funeral expenses were paid by auctioning his collection of sweaty fleeces than by his imaginary family.

  19. Somebody needs to open an estate for this fellow called "Brian Fox", because his finances and taxes probably need some real work; and there also needs to be some proper accounting for all of Fox's business dealings inside and outside of Brooklyn GOP & Conervative Party politics.

It is widely known that "Brian Fox" did lots of work in the 2023 Ari Kagan campaign. An administrator or executor needs to determine if there might be unpaid receivables do to Fox from Kagan, or entities like epeius LLC or Jem Independent both with Bay Ridge addresses and receiving many thousands of dollars for the stuff that Fox was known to have been doing for Kagan in 2023.

  20. RESPONSE: THE " SOME OF THIS STUFF IS TROLLING --- BUT SOME OF THIS STUFF RAISES LEGITIMATE QUESTIONS" EDITION

TO >>> VARIOUS COMMENTERS ON THIS THREAD ABOVE

WE HERE AT THIS INDEPENDENT GOP BLOG FOR BROOKLYN AND STATEN ISLAND >>> AND SEVERAL OF OUR ROUTINE SOURCES AND CONTRIBUTORS <<< HAVE BEEN WONDERING ABOUT THE VERY SAME ISSUES CONCERNING BRIAN FOX AND HIS IMMEDIATELY POST-MORTEM CHAUVINISTIC HAGIOGRAPHER LIAM MC CABE

BUT RIDDLE ME THIS, BATMAN --- AND THE QUESTION BEGS >>> WHY HAS ONLY THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER CHAIN DONE WHAT IS ESSENTLLY ONE ARTICLE ABOUT BRIAN FOX'S UNTIMELY AND SUDDEN UNEXPLAINED DEATH --- WHICH LARGELY TRACKS THE MULTIPLE BUT UNVARYING LIAM MC CABE OBITUARIES FOR FOX THAT PROLIFERATED ON THE INTERNET

Right from the begginnings of the Liam McCabe political birthing process resulting in candidate Brian Fox almost three years ago, there have been just too many questions about all this Brian Fox stuff and too few real and credible answers. And now, too many important things about Brian Fox and his sudden passing fit right into that McCabe-Fox-Fox-McCabe pattern of fake news and false claims, and smoke-screens and evasions.

  21. It's not just Liam, John Seravalli and Jennifer Moore should be suspects, or at very least "persons of interest", as well.

"JEM Independent" is Jennifer Moore to a degree of what Gail calls "metaphysical certainty".

BTW, yes, Gail, this is trolling.. AH-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

  23. “Brannan was mentioned in the official record of the case, including statements made under oath.”

    Those statements include:

-Michael Bistreich saying his 2 primary tormentors didn’t bother him nearly as much during the time Justin worked in that office

-Justin helped get Bistreich the job

-Vinny Gentile testifying under oath that he has no recollection of Justin making the joke the accuser alleges

-The accuser emailed Justin to say “miss you bro” after Justin took another job in part because his treatment by his coworkers was better with Justin there

-The tormentors who threw pencils at the accuser did not include Justin

-Justin was not working there at the time the accuser alleges he was locked in the basement

-Justin was not working there at the time of and had no involvement in the stuffed animal incident

-Justin had no involvement in Gentile’s alleged questioning regarding the accuser medicating himself

-Justin had no involvement in the decision to remove the accuser’s title or dock his pay for going on vacation during budget season

Another thing: the accuser says that during their time working for Gentile, Brannan and he primarily worked in different offices (district vs. legislative) so they didn't cross paths with each other all that much at work. As opposed to chief-of-staff Mancuso who he saw regularly.
