Here's Kagan's fellow-traveler Komrade Jerczy Kassar's personal lies about the whole Bistreich boondoggle the way he posted it on Meta-Facebook:
"Gerard Kassar... Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 6:52 PM... A reminder about just how bad a person Councilman Brannan has been to people who have associated with him. There was a settlement costing the taxpayers many hundreds of thousands of dollars.... Abusing an autistic man who works for you goes well beyond the normal reasons why someone should be thrown out office. What happened is fact supported by eyewitness testimony and a gigantic taxpayer payout.... Regardless of political party all voters in Brannan’s district should be voting to end his political career...." (Please note: virtually every word that fellow traveler Kassar posted herein is a palpable and complete lie --- "including 'a' and 'the' [whereever they might appear in the text]")
Meanwhile, Konservative Party Komrade Jerczy Kassar concealed that the NY Post mentioned charges against Kommie Ari Kagan made by an independent PAC that Kagan had a history of Communist Party membership back in the U.S.S.R.
... And Kagan responded to those charges in the NY Post >>> unfortunately, his answer seemed to be a lie, or have contained lies --- because what was in Kagan's answer is factually different from what he had answered to similar charges about that Communist Party and Soviet spy stuff --- ten and twenty years ago.....
The very same social media posting by Kassar also quite disingenuously posted a link to a New York Post article that contains the same false information about about the Michael Bistreich lawsuit that was put out there in two successive City Council campaigns, in 2017 for John Quaglione, and again in 2021 for Brian Fox --- in both instances all of the so-called "... fact supported by eyewitness testimony..." was completely debunked and rebutted by Brannan and his representatives in 2017 and 2022 by simply referring to the actual documentary documents of the Bistreich case in court --- and the part where Kassar says "... and a gigantic taxpayer payout..." is an even bigger lie, because there never was any claim against or about Brannan in the Bistreich's lawsuit, so no settlement for Bistriech would have any relation to Brannan whatsover.
In fact, Kassar is hoping against hope that nobody actually reads the most recent NY Post article about the false Bistreich claims being made by Kassar >>> because the very same NY Post article mentions Ari Kagan's history as a secret operative for the Soviet security state back in the USSR, saying that >>> "mailers sent to voters by [an independent ] PAC, Future NYC, said, 'First Ari Kagan was a Communist, who became a Democrat turned Republican who votes with socialists' — noting his vote against the city budget. The mailer called [Kagan] 'unhinged'....”
In later print and on-line editions of the NY Post article, Ari Kagan, who was named "Arkady Kagan" when he was a Communist and an operative or agent for the Soviet Union, was evasive, admitting Communist Party membership, but calling the charges "red-baiting"; however he did make one small factual statement about himself --- and when he did that, he told an outright lie about his personal history vis a vis his own Communist Party membership. According to the later NY Post report >>> ".... Kagan on Sunday said he was a member of the Communist Party for two and a half years when he was a journalist in the former Soviet Union 40 years ago...."
In both compound and complex ways, that statement by KGB-kadet Komrade Kagan about his history of membership in the Communist Party and his history of being a journalist in the former Soviet Union is false in detail and as compounded in the statement as quoted. To put it very simply >>> Kagan has given different stories with significantly different facts about himself for over twenty years --- especially the details about his Communist Party membership, his likely KGB-type grooming in academies and at the university level, and the nature of his undercover duties as a "journalist/information officer" in the Soviet Army right up to the end of the Soviet regime.
For the record, Kagan has been repeatedly been confronted about his Communist Party membership, and his duties and functions on behalf of the Soviet security state since he started running for public office over a decade ago --- and the issue has been raised many times by many Democrat and Republican opponents..... Also for the record, for several months this independent Republican blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island has posted several feature legth items and several attributed comments giving significant evidence of Ari (Arkady) Kagan's Communist background, likely KGB-style training, and Kagan's formal military duties as a officer in the Soviet Army in a specialty field that the U.S. War College described as performing intelligence related duties and/or internal security functions. --- And there has not been a single objection, correction, explanation, request to remove or to cease and desist and/or any kind of response whatsoever from Mr. Kagan, or his campaign, or his City Council Office or staff, or even by any anonymous person complaining about any of what we publiched about Kagan's Communist Party membership and/or his work as an agaent or operative of the Soviet security state.
Both Kassar and Kagan should now believe
ReplyDeleteWhat a tangled web they weave
When first they practice to deceive...
Three shootings over the weekend. must have been KGB.
ReplyDeleteIMPORTANT BACKFILL FOR CONTEXT: THE “ARI (ARKADY) KAGAN SPECIAL POST-NY POST” EDITION
ReplyDeleteNOTE: MUCH OF THIS INFORMATION HAS BEEN POSTED ON THIS INDEPENDENT REPUBLICAN BLOG BEFORE >>> AND THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY ATTEMPT TO DENY OR TO CORRECT ANY OF IT BY ARI KAGAN OR ANY OF HIS POLITICAL, SOCIAL, FINANCIAL OR LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES
Politically this all came up for the first time in a 2006 Democrat Primary race between Ari Kagan and now-Republican Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krassny, during which campaign, some of the charges and counter-charges specifically mentioned Kagan's membership in the KGB >>> WITH WHICH KAGAN STATED THAT HE HAD DEALINGS THAT CAUSED HIM PERSONAL PROBLEMS AFTER THE KGB ATTACKED A LITHUANIAN TV STATION. The same charges came up with even more virulence during Kagan's 2013 failed run for the NY City Council and again in 2021. In all three races of 2009, 2013, and again against Brook-Krasny but this time for City Council in 2021, Kagan ducked, weaved and generally evaded any factual answers to the hard questions about the details of his admittedly open and/or probably additional under cover activities for and service to the Soviet Union security services.
To put it all in some kind of context, here's the relevant stuff from Kagan's bio in Wikipedia >>> "Kagan was born in Minsk in 1967.... After graduating Secondary School No. 20 in Minsk, he joined the Soviet Army and attended Leningrad Suvorov School. In February 1984, he was admitted to the Journalism Department at Lvov Military Political College, from which he graduated in 1988.... In 1991, Kagan left the Soviet Army and the Soviet Communist Party. He said he "gradually became disillusioned with the Soviet-Communist ideology...."
Any claims that Kagan was only a member of the Communist Party for just a couple of years don't seem to hold up at all. Simple math shows that Kagan was a Communist Party member from as early as 1984, when he was about 17 yoa, and it was possibly a little earlier than that, if you count earlier involvement in the Komsomol [Komsomol youth membership reached a maximum of about 40 million in the 1970s and early ’80s. In Soviet society, its members were frequently favored over nonmembers in matters of employment and scholarships. Active participation in the Komsomol was considered an important factor in gaining membership and eventual leadership positions in the Communist Party. All Komsomol cells were federated at levels paralleling those of the party. Reflecting the collapse of communism in the Soviet Union, the Komsomol disbanded in 1991.]; and it is then that Kagan said that he left the Communist Party in 1991, when he was about 24 years old. In 1991 that means Ari Kagan was a Communist Party member for at least seven years, and probably more than that, which was his whole adult life and about one-third of his life over all by 1991.
Take special note that Ari Kagan wrote this about himself on February 22, 2009: “… ’I Am the Only Kagan’… Every person is unique. So am I. The author of this blog is the Only Kagan! I was born in Belarus, the former Soviet Union…. At the age of 14, I left my native city of Minsk and entered Leningrad Military High School, a school named after Suvorov (a famous military commander of the 18th century)…. Later, I graduated from an elite military college with a degree in journalism and served in the Soviet Army for 3 1/2 years as a lieutenant. I resigned from the Soviet Communist Party and left the Army in 1991….”
Gail, stop with the "Spy vs Spy" stuff.
ReplyDeleteIn 2021, why was ultra-woke progressive Corey Johnson such a strong Kagan supporter; that only looks like a question for you, I have the answer and it is that Ari Kagan had promised and shown that he coulde be a reliable woke Democrat like his boss, Mark Treyger had been on the City Council. For two years after the police budget had been cut in 2020 for 2021, Ari Kagan bragged about how he had been a part of diverting the NYPD funds to the NYC Bd. of Ed.
Why are so many top Brooklyn Democrats in Brooklyn right now not supporting Justin Brannan is his race against "Republican-Conservative" Ari Kagan; that's not a question either, it's because Ari Kagan has made them promises that they expect him to keep if he wins, and they know somethings about him that you don't. Besides, Ari Kagan proved what side he was on, when he and his staff did not break ranks with their most woke Democrat friends, who voted to completely defund the police and everything else when they voted against the NYC 2024 budget, except Kagan said it was for opposite reasons after he voted with them.
RESPONSE: THE "MORE 'BACKFILL' MATERIAL ABOUT ARI KAGAN'S PAST AS A YOUNG MAN" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 12:55 PM"
On April 23d of this year, we wrote this in our featured post entitled >>> "It has been well said elsewhere in reference data bases and other published material that Ari Kagan... is really Arkady Kagan a former member of the USSR State Security apparatus".....
Here is most of what we wrote about Ari Kagan more than six monthes ago, way back in April:
"In a comment posted on a comments thread to an earlier featured post on this blog, it was stated that: '.... Why isn't anybody looking into Ari Kagan (the same person as Arkady Kagan the professionally trained military-security operative in Belarus and other places in the FSU, like "The Ukraine" and Latvia) and his possible work as a wolf in sheep's clothing FSU emigre operative for the FSU Security-Intelligence services (successors to the KGB-GRU-NKVD, etc.**) in and among the emigre community in Brooklyn and the rest of NYC. Kagan's educational background at the Soviet state run Leningrad Suvorov School and later at the Lvov Military Political College fit a profile of under cover Soviet operatives coming into the USA late in the 20th Century under the guise of political refugees that surged into America at that time.... Very telling is Ari Kagan's own admission during an interview that he was a longtime member of the Communist Party as it then existed in the Soviet Union and "I was not a dissident..." until "... I gradually became disillusioned with the Soviet-Communist ideology...." In that comment, it was also specifically noted that none of Ari Kagan's disillusionment happened until after the fall of the old hardline regime in the Communist Soviet Union; and there is no evidence that he was ever a dissident at any time during the Soviet regime, as a Soviet government paid journalist or otherwise.... This man has been a longtime leader in the Democrat Party, and is an incumbent NYC elected official, who is now seeking the line and the endorsement of the Republican Party. Given all that, it seems incredible that nobody has followed up with proper vetting and the necessary questions about what Ari or Arkady Kagan actually did while he was an active Communist in the Soviet Security aparatus --- and whether he has any lingering or "sleeper" obligations to his former masters, who still hold significant sway throughout the Russian Federation, other parts of the FSU, and even the rest of the world...."
______________
"[FOOTNOTES] *For background only and with no specific application or reference to any individual --- The Russian term "mokroye delo" means assassinations or "wet affairs," called “wetwork” in the West. During Putin’s regime, wetwork has been embraced to an extent not seen since Stalin’s days, over four decades before, and continuing throughout Putin's days.. They symbolize a national mentality in Russia and other parts of the FSU which for many exceeds the realm of the credible, and who are those that simply refuse to believe it when it's what happens.... In the past, those mokroye delo operations were reported to have been handled by the KGB Spetsbureau 13, colorfully known as the "Otdel mokrykh del" or "Department of wet affairs." The KGB has used mokroye delo for many targetted foreign assassinations. For its part, the NKVD used the terms mokroye delo (wet work, or wet affair) and chornaya rabota (black work) to describe executions and assassinations...."

I see Kassar making news all the time. Nothing from Eaton.
ReplyDelete12:55, you lost me with your goofy confusedy commas. Made no sense.
ReplyDeleteI think that posters here shld state what primary/HSs they graduated from so the pragmatic among us don't send our kids there.
ReplyDeleteSome of these folks sound less literate/organized than QOTC.
719, what are you talking about?
ReplyDeleteBased on what I heard about what went on in court today, Eaton seems to be on his way to invalidating the claimed election of Barsamian as county leader, and the whole leadership team supposedly elected along with Barsamian.
719, when you said, "... I see Kassar making news all the time. Nothing from Eaton...."" was that a reference to some things that the Brooklyn conservative Republican cognoscenti know, but will not speak?
ReplyDeleteLet me bring you into our very small circle of those with arcane and occult knowledge about the Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party.
First, Kassar and his ilk think about Eaton far more than Eaton thinks about Kassar, which is almost never.
Second, the biggest news Kassar will make in 2024 will be whether or not he holds onto "his" NYS Conservative Party State Chairmanship against "... the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune... [and] bear the whips and scorns of time... [for] the oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely, the pangs of despised love, the law's delay, the insolence of office and the spurns... And makes us rather bear those ills... than fly to others that we know not of... Thus conscience does make cowards of us all.... And for Kassar, especially, his time might have come at last.
Funny I did not see Eaton in Court.
ReplyDeleteEaton is alone..
ReplyDelete431, funny, Eaton did not see you in court either, but he was too busy listening to Judge Sweeney tell John Ciampoli that he needed to show proof that the Brooklyn GOP had properly filed their organizing papers with the BOE after the 2023 GOP County Convention.
ReplyDelete900, Eaton is far from alone in all this; and he is very optimistic that his plan is working.
How do we know when the plan worked??
