.... And the most powerful man in America seems to be saying that he wants nothing to do with any of it.....
With all kinds of charges of "unlawful interference" flying around --- let's say that the only thing that matters is which side's "interference" is the most effective under all of the circumstances that might come down the pike
Using his bully pulpit as Speaker of the House --- the second highest post in the U.S., Kevin McCarthy has announced that >>> "The American people will not tolerate this injustice, and the House of Representatives will hold Alvin Bragg and his unprecedented abuse of power to account.... [Bragg] has irreparably damaged our country in an attempt to interfere in our presidential election [and] weaponized our sacred system of justice against President Donald Trump...."
Meanwhile, when reporters have asked President Biden or his press secretary about the Alvin Bragg investigation and prosecution of Donald Trump that has resulted in a multi-count indictemnt of the former president, neither has had anything substantial to say about it.....
Biden's own words have been clear and unequivocal about his not talking about it --- "I have no comment on that," --- and --- “No. I’m not going to talk about the Trump indictment," --- and again --- “I have no comment on Trump."
Most White House observers have stated their opinion that, at the present time, the Biden team is convinced that their best strategy is to stay out of Donald Trump's current legal problems with the Manhattan DA and the Manhattan Grand Jury indictment.
Tuesday, Trump will be Y-O-O-O-O-J at 100 Centre Street!
ReplyDeleteAfter Tuesday, Trump will have BRAGG-ing rights that will propel him and all real Americans to new heights of hope and glory. The PROOF of that is that since the Bragg indictment for the first time in a very reliable scientific poll, President Trump has taken a lead over President Biden that is beyond the margin of error.
ReplyDeleteI hope the Marine Corps Band will be there to play "Hail to the Chief" as Donald J. Trump walks out of the Courthouse to Address the American people as their real and true President.
NEWS FLASH: THE "CURRENTS AND CROSS-CURRENTS --- AND THE 'HERE BE DRAGONS' REGIONS" EDITION
ReplyDeleteWOW --- DAILY NEWS SENIOR "EDITOR" & SPECIAL COLUMNIST HARRY SIEGEL'S OPINION PIECE IN THIS SUNDAY"S NY DAILY NEWS SHOULD BE A REAL EYE-OPENER FOR EVERYONE --- BUT ESPECIALLY FOR WHATEVER DEMOCRATS, AND ANY OTHER PROGRESSIVES AND ANTI-TRUMP ACTIVISTS MIGHT HAVE ANY CIRCUMSPECTION LEFT --- BRAGG'S INDICTMENT (AND OBVIOUS INCITEMENT) OF TRUMP IS SEEN AS VERY PROBLEMATIC EVEN BY A VERY SENIOR & UN-TRUMPY NY DAILY NEWS GUY
WHETHER INTENDED OR NOT >>> SIEGEL'S PIECE ALSO SHINES A SPOTLIGHT ON A BROKEN AND VERY POLITICALLY CORRUPTED NYS CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM --- INCLUDING ALL OF THE COURTS --- ALL THE WAY UP TO THE COURT OF APPEALS IN ALBANY
According to Mr. Siegel, "Here Be Dragons.... What’s happening [to Donald Trump] now is off of the map, yet somehow on a potential collision course with Albany of all godforsaken places.... The case of The People of the State of New York against Donald J. Trump is still sealed, but reportedly contains more than 30 counts — even as he’s running for president again.... New York’s case is reportedly centered on the $420,000 that Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen got paid by the Trump Organization after fronting $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence during the 2016 election about sleeping with the Donald a decade earlier, just after Melania had given birth to their son.... Back to Albany, the famous line about how DAs could get a grand jury “to indict a ham sandwich” came from a 1985 Daily News interview with the state’s newly appointed chief judge — a few years before he ended up in prison himself for trying to blackmail his lover while threatening her daughter.... About 40 years and a million New York scandals later the question now is if Bragg can get a judge to let him present his theory, and then get 12 Manhattan jurors to convict Trump on it, and then get the state’s appeals courts to stand by that conviction.... We’ll know soon enough how Bragg makes his case. Whatever it ends up, bet on future presidents — however un-Trumpy — getting subpoenas from local prosecutors who identify with the other party.... We are in uncharted waters.... Here Be Dragons...."

Soon we here at this independent GOP blog for Brooklyn & Staten Island will be doing a feature post about what one observer and critic of the NYS Courts recently referred to as the "LaSalle Effect"..... (FYI, the "LaSalle Effect" refers to the impact of the NYS Senate's rejection of Governor Hochul's nominee to the NYS Court of Appeals, Hector LaSalle).....
1045: Lay off the bad drugs.
ReplyDelete446, the tougher the talk, the bigger the punk! Don't bother with the small stuff, kid, we talk real politics here, just listen and learn.
ReplyDeleteThe 'LaSalle Effect' is very simple. As of this year, the Democrats have pretty much said that the Conservative Party line for judges is skanky from skankville. My guess is that there won't be a lot of Dem-Con cross-endorsed judicial candidates for quite a while. Another of my guesses is that it won't help the Republican judicial candidates even a little bit.
Also, nobody should forget that two GOP judgeships were given to the Conservative Party this year in a big sell-out of longtime upstate GOP loyalists.
311, 1045's "propel him and all real Americans" "heights of hope and glory" "Address the American people" "real and true President" smacks of Dear Glorious Great Respected Leader, Shining Sun Born of Heaven.
