It's fair to ask --- has the pressure of this campaign for City Council made Mike Ragusa "a bit deranged" --- or would "completely deranged" be more accurate ???

Somebody that we all know might have posted this nifty little bit of good natured fun:

And Michael Ragusa responded with this:

"Michael Ragusa For City Council... Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 12:37 PM...

Things seem to be heating up a bit  ---  don't you think.....

For our part here at this independent GOP blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island, we think that the Ragusa statement is far more inflammatory and unhinged than anything done by some so called "Brooklyn GOP district leader..." who,
in an edgy posting, might have used an image and paraphrased some dialogue from a mainstream movie.

In addition, the statement by Michael Ragusa is full of factually inaccurate, offensive and derogatory references that distort the boundaries and the ethnic makeup of the area where Mr. Ragusa is trying to be politically relevant, the 47th Council District.

It wouldn't surprise us here if very soon Mr. Ragusa uses an image of Rocky Balboa fighting Apollo Creed  from the first "Rocky" movie along with some ersatz ethnocentric dialogue to drive home the points of his statement published above against the so called "Brooklyn GOP district leader."  That seems to be what the Ragusa brain trust thinks is the right way to push back on the broad disinterest and substantial resistance inside the Brooklyn GOP to the Ragusa campaign thus far.....

  1. Seems the Little Ragu can't stand the heat. I'd say calling out Ted for being Anti-Italian isn't going to help with getting the nod that's for sure. Maybe the Little Ragu knows Ted is never going to support him ? As an old friend once said, the plot thickens...

  3. Gail, first you said that leaders in the Brooklyn Republican GOP were resisting to Kagen, now your teling us that their resistantcy is against Raguas. Maybe make up your mind. Tell me and the others, which is it? Or are you just only for Brennan and that is all about it.

  5. Manalapan Mike is a legend in his own mind. If he has one.

  6. Just wait until Vito LaBella wakes up, gets his coffee and reads all about this in the "Cape Cod Times"!

Better get ready for another "I hate fuckin' Brooklyn" message coming from the Cape.

  7. Too bad this is now Justin Fan Boy Blog or you might have couple of sources left to find out what really happened. Teddy boy got pushback on Kagan from the base and started warming to Ragusa. Cousin Gerrie told Ted to knock it off so he did but Ragusa blames Fox. Liam told Fox to step aside because a lot of people are asking him to run and he’s thinking about it, LaBella heartbroken that his Asian friends are backing the teacher from Staten Island and he’s having second thoughts about jumping in without them. Eaton don’t want to back the teacher or Liam.

  8. Ragusa behavior not surprising. He stands barely 5 feet tall. I would have a bad temper if I were that short too! Politics is for tall, dark and handsome men like Brian Fox and Ari Kagan. Not little runts like Ragu.

  9. 11:35 AM is wrong. Liam can make more money grifting as a "consultant" in a matching funds race than actually running himself

  10. 3:42 nobody said Liam was running for certain but people are asking him to run and just cause he run don’t mean his firm can’t charge consultation fees. They’re messing with the wrong guy in toying with Ragusa he’s gonna burn the whole thing down and take all the grifters with him

  11. 342, you said that Ragusa part like it's a bad thing.

  12. 5:44 your right. Liam _would_ run _and_ also be a consultant for one or two of his primary opponents at the same time to hedge his bets and maximize the grift. He's brilliant like that

  13. Italian Heritage Americans are all in for Ragusa. Only problem is they all live in Florida

  14. Calling people out for being anti-Italian is a great strategy if Mike was running in 1987 Bensonhurst
