The social and political upheaval that has overtaken Brooklyn --- and with it the Brooklyn GOP --- is demonstrated by the passing of those great uniting watering holes >>> the local community bowling alleys
They have been replaced by lots of nothing that binds communitities together >>> leaving most of us Republican conservatives looking for places to bowl all alone
The Brooklyn GOP is now a perfect reflection of those fragmented pieces of society that were once our neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and is part of the concomitant polity that exists in that broken landscape.
If the Brooklyn GOP were to rebrand itself so as to accurately reflect where it fits in all of this, it would call itself "The Brooklyn Bowling League of Bowlers that Bowl Alone..." --- with this as their bespoke caveat to its members: "... well away from the new public squares, but instead in alleys that really are off-the-beaten-path back alleys".....
Brian Fox is shaped like a bowling ball. John Quaglione isn't smarter than a bowling ball.
ReplyDeleteIn the last two elections, Fox has had characteristics more like a bowling pin than a bowlung ball. This year he was knocked around and splattered like ten pins when Gounardes hammered him for a strikes, frame - after frame - after frame - after frame; and State Senator G almost threw a 300-game against Fox, with Fox having all open frames and a total of about 49. Not competitive, or close to competitive, or close-to-close to competitive.
ReplyDeleteAnd Quaglione might not be smarter than a bowling ball, but he is smarter than Fox.
Gives whole new meaning to "smart as a Fox"
ReplyDeleteBrian Fox wears gray shoes and doesn't seem to know what a real suit is either.
ReplyDeleteBrian Fox has been pretty much silent since election day. Thank the Lord for large and small favors!
ReplyDeleteChamberas 2023..get used to it old man
ReplyDeletePlease, no more Fox!
ReplyDeleteSilent Fox = God's/gods'/Reason's blessing on us all.
ReplyDeleteThe local 'Red Wave' was real. It mostly hit along Brooklyn's 'Russian' southern shore districts and among the Asian voters in Sunset/ Boro Park, Dyker Heights and Bath Beach.
ReplyDeleteControl of the Brooklyn GOP needs to reflect the new Republican strongholds there and not the old ones.
Nick Kicks that has been Liam's asa
ReplyDeleteSay what!
ReplyDeleteThat is bad English to start; and the worst poesying I've seen in a long time.
It shoulduh gone a little more like this: "Nick's a been kickin' duh assa duh massa, 'n' Liam's boy Brian's been cryin' duh river down, since Liam up'n' gone, wif nuffin uh show fum here on."
