Well ! Well !!! Well !!!!! It sure looks like that dwindling remnant of "virtue signalling" harpies was able to kick our asses in just about enough of the key races around the country to keep their grip on most of the levers of power

How could our side talk itself into thinking that this was all going to go our way  ---  and the other side was just going to pack their bags and get out of Dodge ???

Let's start by recognizing  that "OZ" never promised nothing to the Tin Man that he didn't already have; and the silly and very amusing character with straw for brains was far more beloved and respected in the end of that "Over the Rainbow" fantasy that is so much a part of our American soul

For the most part, things haven't changed very much from this time yesterday when we said  >>>  "...  the only poll that counts is the official results from Election Day....  Let's see what happens then  ---  and the day after that  ---  and the day after that....."

Sometimes we hate it when we are so right.....  But that is one of the burdens of our being an independent GOP oracle with a blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island.

  1. ANNOUNCEMENT: THE "WE AND OUR SOURCES WERE SO RIGHT ABOUT THIS THAT....." EDITION

HERE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT RESULTS FOR THE BROOKLYN GOP AND CONSERVATIVE PARTY FOR 2022 --- AND WE HERE AT THIS INDEPENDENT BROOKLYN GOP BLOG FOR BROOKLYN AND STATEN ISLAND WERE ALL OVER IT FOR QUITE SOME TIME

    17th SD /// Chu -- Democrat -- 50.3% /// LaBella -- Republican -- 49.7% -- 63% counted

    26th SD /// Gounardes -- Democrat 79% /// Fox -- Republican -- 21% -- 80% counted

Why didn't Ted Ghorra, Jerry Kassar, and Fran Vella-Marrone let the Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party voters know that the newly cut 17th SD was a very winnable seat from the moment the special master's lines were made official ??? And why was so much done with Brian Fox in the 26th SD, which was not only not winnable, it wasn't even close to being competitive ?????

Was it mere incompetence --- OR WAS IT AN OBVIOUS BETRAYAL BY OUR LEADERS ???????

  3. Fox got beat very badly. I hear Irene will win with paper ballots. Colton won because he is a Republican so we can claim that victory is ours too

  4. Ghorra needs to go!!!

Lets start a dump Ghorra movement. He puts up two criminals in Brooklyn as candidates and has the worst Zeldin numbers in the entire state.

  5. Gale you should ask Cape Cod Vito and his campaign team which still has their lips still safely glued to hineys of all those characters you mensioned. They went to Jerry and Ted and begged them for support not the other way around. Vito don’t live in the district so he can’t run again. If Lester loses on the absentee ballots we should run him for Senate.

  6. Not so fast, we've seen a local 'red mirage' like this before.

  7. Peter Abbate aint going anyplace except back to albany. Results have Lester beating him by over 300 votes but will Lester a manhattan resident be seated? Could be a special and Peter controls the county committee.

  8. Right now, Mr. Abbate is losing; and Mr. Chang is a lawful candidate for the office for which he was on the ballot. If Chang wins the official recanvas count, he will be the Assemblyman in the 49th AD.

It will be more likely that both Abbate and LaBella wind up as the winners in those two Brooklyn 'Asian' districts.

  9. Cape Cod Vito is not going to win. Bookmark this for later because I am right.

  10. Ghorra knocks out Abbate and Cymbrowitz. Unthinkable under Eaton

  11. Is fox in a recount?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Is joseph brady conducting the recount in the 49th?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Abbate thought all those chinese people voting for Chu were also going to vote for him?

    ReplyDelete
  14. 97% of vote counted and Abbate is down by over 600 votes. Vito is down by 300. Fox is down by 18,000.

  15. Abbate wins after the paper. Hochul destroyed Zeldin in Brooklyn and this fool Ghorra banning people from getting lit. Unthinkable under any non-deranged person running the party. Get Ghorra out of here he should do the right thing and resign.

  16. RESPONSE: THE "... 'TED GORRA' !!! STOP TALKING ABOUT 'TED GHORA' KNOCKING OUT ANYBODY --- HE STANDS FOR NOTHING, HE DOES NOTHING, HE THINKS ABOUT NOTHING, AND HE MEANS NOTHING

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 11:05 AM"

SO FAR, THERE HAVE BEEN NO OFFICIAL "KNOCKOUT(S)" --- ONLY UNOFFICIAL PARTIAL VOTE COUNTS --- SOMEBODY WHOSE NAME RHYMES WITH "DEAD DORA" HAS COUNTED THOSE KINDS OF REPORTS AS VICTORIES IN THE PAST >>> ONLY TO SEE IT ALL EVAPORATE IN THE BRIGHT SUNSHINE OF THE FALL DAYS FOLLOWING THOSE HAND FULL OF ELECTIONS OF YESTERYEAR

Even if any of those so-called present day "knockouts" were to prove out in any official counts this time around, a nominal GOP Kings County Leader, who stands for nothing, does nothing, thinks about nothing, and means nothing will not be in any position to claim any credit for any of it.

  17. Right now, in the back of the Off Shore Diner, Brian Fox is plotting his next move. But first, an open face turkey sandwich, large fries, onion rings, some clam chowder, a baked potato, a roasted leg of lamb, 4 golden brown griddle pancakes with 3 scrambled eggs and a chocolate shake.

  18. How the heck to Dmitriy Kugel lose to Bill Cotlon ??

  19. None of Eaton candidates won.

  20. Vito is down by 200 votes and 4,000 paper ballots were requested. Count begins Tuesday.

  21. Whether you’re running for dog catcher or President or something in between you can’t win without a ground game. Maybe at some point in the next fifty years New York Republicans will accept this fact and act accordingly.

  22. The famous Park Avenue power breakfast at the Regency Hotel will now take place in the back booth of the Off Shore Diner

    ReplyDelete
  23. The NY GOP flipped 4 house seats and that has led to GOP taking control of Congress.

    Not bad Chair Ghorra.

  24. 5 more days till the Fox recount

  25. The GOP gains in Brooklyn were bigger than projected.

  26. Nicole was smart to ditch Vito. She got a big Asian vote.

  27. Rumors of a shake up in Brooklyn GOP. John Weaver has been hired.

  28. Since election day Nicole is everywhere. I keep hearing her name on the weather channel.

  29. I hear Albany is abuzz about Ghorras wins in south brooklyn. Unexpextes wins..all hail ted

    ReplyDelete
  30. A deal is being worked out to have Ted step aside and end the infighting. Zeldin people not amused at the games he played with them. His cousin has his own problems to deal with and won’t save him again. Both Marty and Nicole involved you heard it on this blog first.

    ReplyDelete
  31. 721 that is so funny. Albany is not even in session. Nobody is there. Who is all abuzz?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I ran into Richard Barsamian at Shop Rite. He said Tuesday nights landslide wins has revived Ted's career and he will take the party to new heights!

    ReplyDelete
  33. ZELIN LOST BROOKLYN = actually got destroyed in Brooklyn.

Zeldin team pissed at Ghorra that he couldnt deliver, so lets not jump to his revival yet.

I hear the Zeldin team is reaching out to people in Brooklyn and NYC to dump Ghorra

    ReplyDelete
  34. Guess why Ghorra wasn’t at SIGOP Malliotakis celebration? Huge blowup on Election Day over poll site coverage. Everybody knows he’s useless but the cousin keeps protecting him.
