A couple of articles in "City & State - New York" suggest that Democrat Assemblymember Peter Abbate might be using his over $1,000,000 warchest to derail Brooklyn Republican Assemblymember --elect Lester Chang's assent into the NYS Assembly over a technicality in the definition of "legal residency" and Mr. Chang's eligibility to run for the Assembly anywhere in Brooklyn during 2022

Completely apart from the merits or folly of such a challenge at this stage of the 2022 election process  ---  one of our sources very active inside the Democrat Party in an area very very close to the Chang-Abbate district indicated that Mr. Abbate might have some more important legal challenges of his own ahead  ---  and that is much more on Abbate's mind than the new Republican Dragon in town Lester Chang

There are several possible reasons why Mr. Abbate was somewhat distracted during this year's election cycle and his race against Republican-Conservative Lester Chang  ---   and here's the poop from our Democrat source:

Outgoing Democrat Assemblymember Peter Abbate will probably need the million bucks in his campaign fund to be available as a rainy day fund for any criminal defense in the event that some real dragons in his closets in Albany and Brooklyn rear their ugly heads

Here's a hint about what it might involve.....   The very serious charges against Abbate's former top staff member Joseph P. Brady have been pending for a very long time  ---  a very, very long time  indeed  ---  and there are indications that there are some very complicated things going on behind the scenes with investigators and prosecutors, and the defenders in the Brady case(s).  Furthermore, both state and federal jurisdictions needing to be on the same page(s) going forward.

Needless to say this has weighed very heavily on Brady's former boss Abbate's mind for several reasons  ---  and that weight (or those weights) is(are)  more than a million dollars worth during these inflationary times.

  1. Brady was Abbates legislative director for 18 years.
Two years ago the State Police and Feds arrested Brady for rape, kidnapping, drug, gun, and possesion of explosives so Brady was facing 20 years.
Most criminal cases are resolved in 6 months but Bradys case has had no activity in 2 years.
That means Brady is co-operating with Feds.
That means Abbate can use that million dollars on attorneys fees.
    Or, maybe Abbate is co-operating.

  2. I have it on good authority that Lester Chang will not be seated in the next Assembly. Lester needed to establish residency in Brooklyn within six days after last year's election to be eligible for the Assembly seat. He didn't. He will need more than a note from his mommy to get out of this mess!

  5. On the same day Donald Trump account was reinstated Ragusa's account was suspended again. Ragusa is more vile than 45. The liberal elite agrees.

  6. UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "MEANWHILE IN AN OVERLAPPING DISTRICT" EDITION

VITO LA BELLA'S VERY LONG-WINDED AND MEANDERING SCREED ABOUT HIS 2022 FIASCO IN THE 17TH STATE SENATE DISTRICT IS NOTHING MORE THAN A NARCISSISTIC EXERCISE BY SOMEBODY WHOSE ONLY HONEST CONNECTION WITH ANYBODY IN 2022 WAS WHEN HE WAS OUTED FOR HIS "... I HATE FUCKIN' BROOKLYN..." VIDEO --- HOWEVER, IF YOU WANT TO SEE HOW A MIND DISEASED WITH SELF-ABSORPTION AND A GREATLY INFLATED SENSE OF PERSONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT WORKS, IT MIGHT BE WORTH A READ

It started out with this balderdash: "Dear Family, Friends, and Neighbors,... I ran for State Senate to be able to represent everyone in District 17 and to have the chance to reach out and work with all of the district’s multicultural communities. By any measure, that effort has been an overwhelming success...."

Earth to Vito, Earth to Vito !!! Any partisan political race that results in a loss and a concession to the other side cannot be something that ".... [b]y any measure... has been an overwhelming success...."

Needless to say, LaBella is ignoring the elephant in the room that the only reason that he came close against Democrat State Senator-elect Iwen Chu, a thoroughly unqualified and unsuitable candidate in her own right, is the bias and bigotry of the overwhelming majority of those from that part of the district’s multicultural communities most like LaBella himself, who knew little or nothing about Iwen Chu and/or Vito LaBella, but still voted overwhelmingly for LaBella because of his last name. [[[ However, as Lester Chang's defeat of Peter Abbate proved, there just weren't quite enough of them kind of neighbors left in "... FUCKIN' BROOKLYN...". ]]]

If LaBella sticks around for any more politics in "... FUCKIN' BROOKLYN..." we certainly will be glad to follow up with a more detailed analysis of how this very unspecial but self-absorbed jamoke blew the election for the Brooklyn GOP in the 17th State Senate District in "... FUCKIN' BROOKLYN..."

  7. The bias and bigotry of people who voted for Vito because of his last name may also apply to people who voted for Chang and Chu. People voted for a Republican. How do you explain ED's where people split the ticket to vote for Chu & Chang?

  8. Vito lives in fucking brooklyn. Do you?

  11. You forgot to mention the back room deal with Colton for his support of LaBella. Vito and his crew plunged a knife into the back of any and every Republican who supported them.

  12. just read an article in todays Post about Zeldin winning Asian vote in Brooklyn. Asians voted Republican for Zeldin, Chang, but not Vito. They voted for Chu. So much for gales attempt to join the woke croud.

  15. Come on Gale by now the deal between Colton and LaBella is well known. Hint Colton even went on camera saying he’d vote for Vito then it got “accidentally” leaked. Give him credit though Vito got a lot of old guard Republicans to fall for his act suckers that they are.
