A high up Brooklyn GOP affiliated insider recently told me that John Quaglione seems to be almost completely worn out --- as in >>> "... he's been burnt out since 2017 --- and has had that long distance stare for a very long time..."
And, yet again, Mr. Quaglione is screwing up on his day jobs for the diocese and his own parish
It seems that Quaglione was knocking the recent pro-union vote at a local Starbuck's location on social media, but using the St. Anselm's account to do it
The actual post is very brief, and not very substantial..... However, this looks like another gaffe by somebody who is very gaffe-prone for a professional communications/PR guy.
It's "gaffe."
ReplyDeleteJQ is a living example of "parochialism," in all its meanings.
ReplyDeleteThe Tweet isn't signed. Why do you assume that it was sent by John Quaglione?
ReplyDeleteThe list of your suspects should easily have included at least these people associated with St. Anselm, and who might have posted the Tweet in reply to Justin Brannan:
Rev. Msgr. John W. Maloney, Pastor; Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Phillips, P.E., Pastor Emeritus; Rev. Fr. Anthony Alimnonu, C.S.Sp, Parochial Vicar; Deacon Thomas G. Davis, Permanent Deacon; Bro. Robert E. Duffy, O.S.F., Director of Faith Formation; Mrs. Suzanne Whiteaker, Parish Secretary; Ms. Therese Panicali, Director of Music Ministry & Adult Choir; and Mr. Kevin Flanagan, Principal, St. Anselm Catholic Academy.
Let's just say there is only one person who calls the shots at the DeSales Media office and his name is not John Quaglione. Director of External Affairs for the Diocese of Brooklyn and former FBI top cop Vinny LeVien will call on Paulette Katinas for help before he calls on Quaglione. Last we heard Quaglione was filling the coffee machine for the Cardinal. Nice work if you can get it.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "WHAT DO YOU KNOW & WHEN DID YOU FIRST KNOW IT ???" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO ALL THE COMMENTERS ABOVE EXCEPT THE ONE THAT CORRECTED OUR MISSPELLING OF "GAFFE"**
THERE SEEM TO BE SOME INTERESTING AGENDAS TO UNPACK IN >>> YOUR <<< SEVERAL COMMENTS
"Parochial" views are catholic and universal --- so, not just John Quaglione has them --- everybody does, even the atheists, free thinkers, Free Masons and other assorted odd-fellows, and the hunters of snarks and Skeksis.
1021, it's very interesting what you mentioned, that we did not --- that the "social media" mentioned by us was a "Tweet" when mentioned by you; and that it was "the Tweet in reply to Justin Brannan...". You seem to know quite a bit more about this than most folks; so we have some queries: who are you -- what do you know about all of this -- and, how do you know about all of this ???
1038, you pretend to know a lot about all of this, but you don't seem to know that the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens doesn't have a Cardinal, and it never did (unless you count Cardinal Bevilacqua a former Brooklyn and Queens guy, who was the Cardinal in Philly).

I will be leaving the Catholic Church now that I know their stance on unions
ReplyDelete10;21 comment is not signed which leads me to believe it could be Quag. I could be Quag.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Liam ?
ReplyDeleteJohn Q is the type who would do well as mayor of mobile, Alabama
ReplyDeleteBobby C is the type who would do well as mayor of Heineken
ReplyDelete"Parochialism" = a limited, narrow, or confined outlook ... in effect, a worldview circumscribed by one's own parish or parish-equivalent.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm! So, what's your point?
ReplyDeleteA WARNING ABOUT THINGS TO COME: THE "NEW YORK STATE COURT OF APPEALS" EDITION
ReplyDeleteWHILE REPUBLICANS AND OTHER CONSERVATIVE MINDED PEOPLE ARE DREAMING WISTFULLY ABOUT A GOP "RED WAVE" IN 2022 --- AND THE LEAKED ALITO "DECISION" AND/OR A POSSIBLE BIG WAR WITH RUSSIA AND ALL HER NUKES POSSIBLY HAS THEIR ATTENTION FOCUSED ELSEWHERE AT THE MOMENT >>> ROSS BARKAN YESTERDAY REDIRECTED THAT GAZE FOR THOSE OF US ON THIS INDEPENDENT GOP BLOG FOR BROOKLYN AND STATEN ISLAND TO THE NYS COURT OF APPEALS --- BOTH IN ITS PRESENT COMPOSITION --- AND WHERE IT COULD BE HEADED IN THE FUTURE
Ross Barkan's article "What the Hell Is Happening at the NY State Court of Appeals?" published on-line in the blog "Hell Gate" ( At: https://www.hellgatenyc.com/what-the-hell-is-happening-at-the-ny-state-court-of-appeals/?fbclid=IwAR1kU4ix66Wu5juLkXpRJzmXzdTylzYkai0nR0Qtql5AyIHUPRWMXjuT-ug) was his clarion message to radical reformers, radically left-of-normally-left-Democrats, and other properly-progressive-minded folks that the NYS Court of Appeals is blocking their agenda and needs to be fixed over the next couple of years [bcc to George Soros].
On issue after issue, Barkan shows how NY State's highest court is more establishment-minded, and sometimes even more conservative than the rest of the current NY State government, and the new breed of power brokers now operating inside the corridors of power in Albany..... He also points out that just two vulerable Judges on that Court can be replaced within the next couple of years, and the Empire State's top court can be redirected toward the more radical leftward paths of righteousness.
GIVEN ALL OF THAT >>> THE FUTURE CALIFORNICATION OF NEW YORK STATE CAN ONLY BE IMPEDED BY A BIG RED WAVE WIN ALL ACROSS NEW YORK STATE --- INCLUDING THE STATEWIDE OFFICES --- SO AS TO KEEP ONE OF THE LAST OUTPOSTS OF SOME OR ANY SANITY IN NEW YORK FUNCTIONING AS IT HAS UP UNTIL NOW
No word from our "Captain" in the skies, Karim Elsammak, lately.
ReplyDeleteHe must be on some supersecret volunteers-only mission rescuing American operatives and their teams out of secret landing strips in Afghanistan; or possibly as a secret Homeland Security deputy with a "Double O" designation going after all kinds of bad guys South of our Southern border, which he single-handedly makes just a little less porous.
Karim flies the plains that land in the middle of the night and Q has catholic charites hide them.
ReplyDeleteMalliotakis secured $2.9 million for the NYPD but none of it is going towards hiring more cops. It's all going to "forensic equipment" and "PPE" like masks and hand sanitizer. Good job Nicole! COVID is over.
ReplyDeleteWhile Karim the Kid is busy storming the cockpit of local politics and injecting new life into the local Republican Party, John Q. is still asking the stewardess for a second bag of peanuts.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Vincen Lavien takes his coffee the same way as Marty Golden? We need to ask Quaglione.
ReplyDelete250, talking about a Muslim Arab pilot storming the cockpit really isn't the best metaphoric reference for your candidate for the state senate. If you meant it as a joke, it's stiil too soon.
ReplyDeleteis it too soon for 11:17 to get a sense of humor?
ReplyDeleteIt's way too soon to forget 9/11.
ReplyDeleteWhat I remember about 9/11 was the govt told us after the attack that the air was safe to breath. Just wear a mask. Turns out the air caused cancer and the masks were useless.
ReplyDeleteDoes that bullshit sound familiar?
Some '...mistakes were made...'.
ReplyDelete9/11 was Quaglione's best day and that was 20 years ago. handing out bottles of water with Marty outside the Bridgeview. An American Hero was born.
ReplyDeleteTalking about a Muslim Arab pilot storming the cockpit of local politics is exactly what we need. Dan Texieria and his farts will not lead us into the next generation.
ReplyDelete235 sees the writing on the wall, it's 'Talking about a Muslim Arab pilot storming the cockpit of local politics', and it is all written in Arabic about changing 'America' into the 21st Century Caliphate of 'Amerarabia'.
