Brian Fox has lost his apparent 255 vote Election Night lead in the first day of counting abentee ballots at the Board of Elections

Almost three-quarters of the paper ballots with markings for the City Council candidates Brian Fox or Justin Brannan that have been counted thus far have been for Brannan

The vote count continues at the Brooklyn BOE in spite of multiple efforts by Team Fox to interfere with a proper count of  "paper ballots" by the BOE officials

If the current trends continue, Brannan's ultimate victory over Fox could be as many as 1100-to-1200 votes [more likely  ---  it will be by a margin of about half that number]

  1. UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "NY 1 REPORT" EDITION

ACCORDING TO A SPECTRUM NEWS/ NY 1 REPORT --- REPUBLICAN WATCHERS AT THE COUNT OF "PAPER" ABSENTEE BALLOTS AT THE NYC BOE WAREHOUSE OBJECTED TO THE COUNTING OF ABOUT 500 BALLOTS ON MONDAY

There is no indication that any of the Rapublican "objections" influenced the count in any way.

  2. Another loss for Liam

  3. Now Fox supporters are trying to say Brian is black because they are upset Team Brandon accused him of disenfranchisement of black voters. They just mentioned it on the Morning Joe Show

  5. At best Quaglione clicks "send" on Vinnie Lavien's press releases for the Diocese. Meanwhile Professor and best-selling Author Robert Capano is being paid handsomely working for an iconic mogul and running an entire political science department at an Ivy League College. Vito Bruno and Brian Fox aren't even footnotes

  6. RESPONSE: THE "HAMLET'S INSIGHT(S) INTO AN ELECTION AND DEATH" EDITION

TO ALL THE "SHAKESPEAREAN" COMMENTERS THAT HAVE SPOKEN THEIR LINES HERE THIS MORNING

ABOVE ALL ELSE >>> STAY CALM --- CARRY ON <<< (FYI --- THAT'S BRITISH, BUT IT'S NOT SHAKESPEAREAN)

ONE LINE FROM SHAKESPEARE'S "HAMLET" IS PARTICULARLY APPROPOS IN A MOMENT LIKE THIS --- AND IT WASN'T ANYWHERE CLOSE TO "LET'S GO, BRANDON" [OR AS WE'VE SEEN ON THIS BLOG: "LET'S GO BRANNEN"] --- THE LINE IS VERY SIMPLE AND IT'S THE LAST THING THAT HAMLET SAYS IN THE PLAY >>> "... THE REST IS SILENCE...."

Here is the line with a more complete context:
    ".... , I die, Horatio.
The potent poison quite o'ercrows my spirit.
I cannot live to hear the news...
But I do prophesy the election lights
On [Fox]. He has my dying voice.
So tell him, with th' occurrents, more and less,
Which have solicited. The rest is silence
    O, O, O, O [Hamlet dies]...."

Enough of the English lesson --- Here/ Hear now, the news:
Last night, Justin Brannan had a lot to say about the Monday vote count of paper ballots at the BOE..... At the same time, the rest from Brian Fox and Liam McCabe was silence.

  7. The Fox team's input into the vote counting process only goes as far as Liam's wild and crazy ideas about how the BOE needs to listen to him and to whatever his complaint of the moment might be.

Why can't McCabe and his helpers listen to their own Republican BOE representatives and professionals?

  8. UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "BRANNAN DECLARES VICTORY --- AND --- FOX CONDEDES DEFEAT" EDITION

JUSTIN BRANNAN HAS WHAT APPEARS TO BE A VICTORY OVER BRIAN FOX IN THE RANGE OF ABOUT 500+ VOTES

WITH A SUBSTANTIAL NUMBER OF BALLOTS COUNTED --- THERE ARE STILL A HANDFUL OF BALLOTS LEFT TO BE COUNTED --- HOWEVER, JUSTIN'S PRESENT LEAD OF ABOUT 400 VOTES DOES SEEM INSURMOUNTABLE AT THE PRESENT TIME

More detailed information when we have it

  9. AN INTERIM OBSERVATION: THE "IT'S TOO EARLY FOR ANY REPUBLICAN AND CONSERVATIVE >>> PATS ON THE BACK <<< FOR LOSING TO JUSTIN BRANNAN AGAIN" EDITION

SO FAR THE NUMBERS ARE TELLING THIS STORY >>> THE NEGATIVE CAMPAIGNING AGAINST JUSTIN BRANNAN DIDN'T RESULT IN MANY VOTES TURNING AGAINST BRANNAN --- AND --- WHATEVER POSITIVE MESSAGE BRIAN FOX MIGHT HAVE HAD, IT GOT HIM VERY FEW, IF ANY, NEW VOTERS COMPARED TO JOHN QUAGLIONE IN 2017.....

Before anybody starts saying how >>> WELL <<< Brian Fox and Liam McCabe did against Brannan in this year’s campaign and election, they should wait to see if the official numbers prove that it’s true.

In 2017, Brannan received 12,894 votes; and in 2017, John Quaglione received 12,100 votes, with Bob Capano getting 344, and another candidate getting 281 with 48 write-ins --- so, the votes were 12,894 FOR BRANNAN, and 12,773 AGAINST BRANNAN.....

So far in 2021, Brannan has received at least 12,445 votes, and in 2021 Brian Fox had at least 12,145 votes..... However, it is unlikely that the total number of votes cast in 2021 “AGAINST BRANNAN” will exceed or even reach the total number of votes cast in 2017 “AGAINST BRANNAN”…..

Now, let's see if the final official numbers bear that out.....

And also don't forget, there WAS an actual mini-Red-Wave in parts of Brooklyn that should have helped push somebody like Brian Fox over the top like it did for Inna Vernikov.

  10. Fossella win not good for Kassar. Nicole was top dog in Staten Island and city gop. Everyone knows Kassar controls her. Fossella back in charge and he doesn't bend to kassar. Not when he was in congress and he worked for Marty Golden and not now. Never mind conservatives had someone else on their line for BP NOT VITO
