I think that the Facebook feed of one of the leading Brooklyn GOP types is trying to hype the upcoming April 25th fundraiser for Brian Fox [featuring Marty Golden] --- Clearly it's made to look that just after a few days, there have been twenty-one (21) positive responses
I don't know if that's good, bad, or indifferent >>> at this stage >>> for that event
However, it won't stay early spring forever --- to be competitive against the Democrat incumbent Member of the City Council from Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bath Beach and the edges of Bensonhurst, known by some as good old JB, in November --- newcomer BF will need lots more matchable funds raised than what will likely come in from the Bean Post gathering on April 25th >>> or even one a month until November
Right now, in addition to all the other problems and headwinds that a Brian Fox campaign needs to deal with, given the current state of the Brooklyn GOP >>> a threshold issue is getting the tempo and the scale of the campaign right --- early, middle and late.
Right back in the saddle. Gale is trash talking the Fox event 3 weeks before it happens.
ReplyDeleteMarty will be at the event. Others will also donate but may not attend such as Congresswoman Malliotakis.
But Gale and his sorry pack of losers wont be laughing on January 2022 as Councilman Fox takes the helm.
Teddy and his brain trust made sure we wouldn’t have a strong candidate against Gale’s buddy Justin or a strong candidate against any other Democrat. None of them even made matching funds yet and the Marty event just cya not to make it so obvious.
ReplyDeleteFox will be getting the maximum amount of matching funds. The election is 8 months away.

ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 6:16 PM" & "... AT 10:17 PM"
NOBODY IS "TRASH TALKING" ANYTHING AND CERTAINLY NOT "THE FOX EVENT 3 WEEKS BEFORE IT HAPPENS"
WE AT THIS BLOG SPECIFICALLY SAID, "I DON'T KNOW IF [THE FOX EVENT 3 WEEKS HENCE IS] GOOD, BAD OR INDIFFERENT >>> AT THIS STAGE"
EVEN THOUGH WE CAN'T SPEAK FOR THE "SORRY PACK OF LOSERS" REFERRED TO IN YOUR COMMENT --- BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY FOLKS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE BROOKLYN GOP THAT FIT THAT DESCRIPTION --- WE CAN AND DO SPEAK FOR GALEWYN MASSEY, AS FOLLOWS >>> "GALEWYN MASSEY CERTAINLY WILL BE LAUGHING FROM THE END OF NOVEMBER 2021 UNTIL AT LEAST JANUARY 2022 IF BRIAN FOX SHOULD 'TAKE THE HELM' AS A NYC COUNCILMAN --- AND GALEWYN WILL BE HAPPILY LAUGHING AT HIMSELF THE HARDEST FOR NOT SEEING ANY OF IT COMING"
ALSO, AS FOR "FOX WILL BE GETTING THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF MATCHING FUNDS..." --- MAYBE, BRIAN FOX AND HIS CREW CAN GET THE MAXIMUM OF MATCHING FUNDS, BUT NONE OF US AT THIS BLOG REALLY SEE THAT HAPPENING --- WHETHER IT'S EIGHT DAYS, EIGHT WEEKS OR EIGHT MONTHS --- BRIAN FOX IS NEITHER JOHN Q NOR LIAM MAC, AND IT'S 2021 NOT 2017
Is there any rational person in the Brooklyn GOP, or even the Brooklyn Conservative Party, that can seriously disagree with this statement in the main post above: "... [I]t won't stay early spring forever --- to be competitive against the Democrat incumbent Member of the City Council from Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bath Beach and the edges of Bensonhurst, known by some as good old JB, in November --- newcomer BF will need lots more matchable funds raised than what will likely come in from the Bean Post gathering on April 25th...."
I will concede that the remainder of that quote "... or even one a month until November...." is only a likelihood and not a certainty, because a VERY SUCCESSFUL Brian Fox event on April 25th might generate a meaningful amount of early matchable funds. Hence, repeating that VERY SUCCESSFUL result six times over would generate a meaningful amount of matchable funds six times over. Needless to say, going to the same well that way, and expecting a VERY SUCCESSFUL take of matchable funds, is very unlikely indeed.
Somebody please tell genius at 10:17 election is seven months away not eight.
ReplyDeletecampaign already started. Nobody knows or heard of Brian Fox people still posting asking John and Liams to run. If Nicole don’t show her face to the fundraiser than he really in trouble because she hate Justin more than anybody else.
Marty is old news. Not because he is old, but because he lost. A twenty year incumbent taken out by a novice. He should be embarrassed. He should move to Florida where all old washed up politicians go.
ReplyDeleteMaybe, if Cher was here in Brooklyn, she could have saved Marty. Just like, maybe if Cher was there, she could have saved Sonny.

ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN I KNEW" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:49 AM"
I HAD A FEMALE COLLEAGUE SEVERAL YEARS AGO; AND SHE WAS GLORIOUSLY BEAUTIFUL --- SHE ALWAYS CALLED ME "MC CAULEY"..... I KNEW A FRIEND OF MINE'S FATHER; AND HE WAS NOT NEARLY SO BEAUTIFUL --- HE ALWAYS CALLED ME "MC CAULEY" TOO
The funny thing is, I knew a McCauley..... McCauley was a good friend of mine..... And I certainly was no "McCauley".....
I also knew a "Caulfield"..... And he was no kind of "Catcher in the Rye."
Fox may be a second rate show biz type but so was justin.
ReplyDeleteJustin was the Indiana Jones of Heavy Goth New Age Punk Rock, who made the paper cut movement of the last millennium mainstream in the 21st Century.
ReplyDeleteWhat Jackson Pollock did on canvas, Justin Brannan did with an axe and a fender.
ReplyDeleteGail, you can't get these kinds of insights on any other blog, especially not any other GOP blog.
ReplyDeleteJustin voted to defund the police by 1 billion dollars. Thats all matters.
ReplyDeleteIf so, then why is Republican Mayoral hopeful Curtis Sliwa advocating defunding many of the NYPD's biggest functions, patrolling the subways.
ReplyDeleteCrime stats lower then ever in Bayridge and Dyker Heights. Employment is up. Vaccine shots in arms. Schools open again. Brannan is unbeatable by John Q, Beer Can Bob and Liam. Good thing Brian Fox is not John Q, Beer Can Bob or Liam. Fox is his own man and he will be out next council member. He is a self-made entrepreneur with a corner office on Madison Avenue
ReplyDelete"Crime Stats" are kept by the police. They should be called "Policing Stats" or "Police Stats"; and they are part of the pro-cop propaganda used to grossly OVER FUND the police, overpay the cops, and otherwise redistribute wealth in their direction by very costly benefits.
ReplyDelete"The Scale Necessary" to accurately weigh Brian Fox would be the livestock scale they use to weigh cattle and other farm aninmals
ReplyDelete"Crime Stats" lower.
ReplyDeleteyeah sure Justin. we believe you.
Justin is fatter than Fox and everyone else in the world.
ReplyDeleteWhen they finally get together on stage for an exchange of "ideas" for the rest of us to see and hear, it will have to be described as a great mass debate moment.
ReplyDelete4 years ago real candidates ran. Now its some guy with Vito type work history. If that.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "LET'S BE FAIR....." EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:02 PM"
LAST TIME THE RACE FOR CITY COUNCIL HAD POSSIBLY THREE OR FOUR REAL CANDIDATES --- SURELY, JUSTIN BRANNAN WAS REAL, BECAUSE HE WON THE DEMOCRAT PRIMARY AND THEN WAS ELECTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL --- SURELY, JOHN Q WAS REAL, BECAUSE HE WON THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY AND THEN WAS ALMOST ELECTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL --- POSSIBLY, KHADER AL YATEEM WAS A REAL CANDIDATE, BECAUSE HE WAS BACKED BY A SIGNIFICANT FACTION IN THE DEMOCRAT PARTY, WHO CAME OUT AND VOTED FOR HIM ON PRIMARY DAY 2017 --- POSSIBLY, LIAM MC CABE WAS A REAL CANDIDATE, BECAUSE HE WAS BACKED BY A SIGNIFICANT FACTION IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, WHO CAME OUT AND VOTED FOR HIM ON PRIMARY DAY 2017.....
THERE WERE NO OTHER REAL OR EVEN REMOTELY/POSSIBLY REAL CANDIDATES FOR CITY COUNCIL IN 2017
ON THE OTHER HAND, IF YOU ARE IMPLYING THAT BOTH JUSTIN BRANNAN AND BRIAN FOX HAVE A "VITO [BRUNO] TYPE WORK HISTORY" >>> THEN YOU MIGHT BE ONTO SOMETHING.....
I'd say that it's up to Brannan and Fox, and their campaigns >>> to either disprove such a proposition, or in the alternative, somehow whipsaw that notion into something meaningful in a winning campaign. The latter is quite unlikely, because Vito Bruno himself lost in the 2020 campaign for State Senate partially asserting that he had a "Vito type work history".....
Brian Fox has a fantastic logo!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about that. The only logo that I've seen says, 'Brian I Ox' with a little flag; what's up with that?
ReplyDeleteI saw the logo just now on Newsmax and my wife said "Who is Brian I. Ox?"
