At this stage of the game, palm cards and posters are the necessary basic building blocks for a losing campaign.....

In other news, the "Queen of the Click" is touting Brian Fox' upcoming appearance on some conservative podcast and is "... looking forward to hearing more about his platform and ideas for this community....." ("MORE !!!" --- other than proposing to talk to the folks at the Third Avenue Merchants Assn., I haven't heard anything yet)
At the midnight hour, there was radio silence on the crowd at the great magical mystery tour celebration and fund raiser for Brian Fox and the Brian Fox for City Council Campaign at the Lonestar Bar & Grill, scheduled for earlier this evening at 6:00 PM.....
..... (but at about 12:15 AM on April 26th Brian Fox posted some pix of the great event; one of them is copied immediately below):
As Captain Louis Renaud said in the movie "Casablanca": "... Round up the usual suspects...." |
Let's see who gets to give their spin on any or all of this first.....
Someone please check on former Brooklyn GOP Chairman Craig Eaton and make sure he is okay. Surely he must’ve bust a gut laughing if he saw this picture. In just a few short years since he left the leadership, we’ve gone from a respectable political organization with hundreds of people attending events at El Caribe and Gargiulo’s to dumpster fire having to gather outside sidewalk of a dive bar. At least Salty Dog used to let them stay inside.
ReplyDeletenice picture. not a large crowd but large people in the crowd.
ReplyDeleteUPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "WHEN IT'S THE MESSAGING --- 'THE MEDIUM IS THE MESSAGE' " EDITION
ReplyDeleteWHATEVER HAPPENED AT THE LONESTAR SPORTS BAR & GRILL LAST NIGHT HAPPENED --- NOBODY CAN CHANGE IT AND NOBODY CAN MAKE IT GO AWAY.....
NONETHELESS, THE BRIAN FOX CAMPAIGN'S ROLL-OUT OF THE STORY OR THE SPIN ABOUT THE FIRST "BIG EVENT" OF THE BRIAN FOX FOR CITY COUNCIL CAMPAIGN WAS LESS THAN AMATEURISH --- OR AS CRAIG EATON MIGHT SAY, IF HE HAD A INTENTION AND WILL TO SAY SO, WOULD BE >>> "PATHETIC !!!"
Here's what the campaign's messaging about the April 25th fund raiser actually looked like:
"Brian Fox for City Council is attending Brian Fox for City Council (43) Fundraiser at LoneStar Sports Bar & Grill.
[Approx. 12:15 AM, April 26, 2021] New York ·
Great turnout today at LoneStar Sports Bar & Grill for our #CityCouncil kick off fundraiser! Thank you to everyone who attended and showed their support. We are off to a great start...." [With several photographs]
"Great start ???" --- "Great turnout !!!" NOT >>> if we go by the published photographs.....
It wasn't so very long ago, there were several fund raisers for Pat Russo, who twice ran as the GOP-Conservative Party candidate against Councilman Vincent Gentile. Those fund raisers filled the Bay Ridge Manor..... Nonetheless, Pat Russo was never elected to the NYC Council.
Four years ago, Liam McCabe kicked off his 2017 campaign for City Council at the Leif; and that event had a much bigger crowd than the one last night at the Lonestar..... Liam McCabe didn't even win the Republican Primary that year.
Will anybody in the Brian Fox for City Council Campaign dare to compare the 2017 GOP Organization candidate's first fund raiser with last night's event at the Lonestar ??? If you want to compare the events, just look up John Quaglione's first fund raising event in 2017..... Of course, everybody knows that John Q lost to Justin Brannan in the November 2017 General Election.
Even this embarrassing event is only done to protect the jobs at the board of elections which is all they care about at this point. Gale makes excellent point. Quaglione and McCabe had huge events four years ago on their own without the party being involved. This year with the full force of Ted they wind up renting in a sketchy bar that is hated by its neighbors and only a handful of people show up. Folks we’re one step away from GOP events being held at Owls Head Park.
ReplyDelete1021, where have you been, the GOP, Conservatives, Tea Party and the rest of the Branch Davidians are already throwing events that nobody comes to in Bay Ridge parks like Owls Head, McKinley, the park across from Shore Hill, and Old Glory Look-out all the time.
ReplyDeleteJustins blog isnt fooling anyone
ReplyDeletePeople go to Parks. Not morbidly obese people like Brannen who thinks he can stay on the couch till hes term limited out.
ReplyDeleteI see a Rogues' gallery of loosers and derelicts.
ReplyDelete11:22 must be upset with the parks impact on his social life since the mens rooms were closed.
ReplyDeleteI counted 23 people in the picture. Thats a crowd.
ReplyDeleteThe dude running against Brannan was wearing sunglasses when Marty tried doing an endorsement video. It looked like a casting call for QANON movie. Marty looked embarrassed to be there. I felt sorry for him.
ReplyDeleteBK GOP and SIGOP Comptroller candidate John Tabacco KNOCKED OFF THE BALLOT
ReplyDeleteCan't you just feel the momentum shift since Brian Fox's big bash last night at Lonestar Sports Bar & Grill.
ReplyDeleteHe's just such a humble and thoughtful man; even when he was speaking to everybody gathered there on his behalf, he must have told the management to keep showing the soccer games being played on the big screens behind him.
Tabacco was knocked off the ballot by an inside job of the SIGOP. How can you mess up a cover sheet? Especially after Seawright last year. Another desperate publicity stunt by William and Steelcase. They had nothing to do with Tabacco choosing not to pay for a real campaign team and getting setting up. BKGOP last and only contributor to the Steelcase gravy train. Once Teddy G gone that gravy train comes to an end too. I personally think that John Q will give up his ambitions to run for office again and quietly take over with Marty’s support after Teddy quietly resigns but just a guess.
ReplyDeleteI sense the comments are coming from the six time council loser BC.
ReplyDeleteWho is this Click Queen and why does she matter?
ReplyDeleteWhat a cast of characters or should I say, losers. I hope that the Lonestar charged by the Pound because they would make a lot of money that way. But in all seriousness, screenshot Ghorra's outfit - the Blue Blazer and Khakis and brown shoes - his signature outfit and maybe his only outfit - and next time you see him at an event or with a candidate you will see this is the only outfit he has.
ReplyDeleteSomeone above said there were 24 people there. But if you take out the candidates and politicos, I count 8 others. 8 - thats all...8 people is all Ghorra could put together.
Now lets discuss the cast here - from left to right:
a) Nocera, from the famous Nocera tapes. A "young republican" who never became and adult republican who is at the very nest disfunctional in all respects. You MUST see the Nocera tapes which I will post here very soon;
b) Liam - nice guy but not sure who he likes, dislikes, supports or doesnt support - flows like the wind until he is, you know,......
c) Vito - anothr great guy but a lousy candidate;
d) Chairman Ghorra - a waste, a total waste - need I say more.
I listened to Marty's speech. Sounded like he is not too far from Biden. Sounded old and disoriented.
I guess Ghorra didnt speak or else he would have posted it, since his ego is so bog these days. He thinks he is the next coming. Or did it already on his head (I mean coming)?
Brian Fox future's so bright, he's gotta wear shades
ReplyDeleteQueen Click looks like she lives under a bridge and her blog uses Comic Sans. Any questions?
ReplyDelete8:17 gives Ghorra too much credit. He and his nasty little crew would’ve been done if they couldn’t postpone committee elections and they know it. Nobody’s buyin there act no more. That’s why they had no place to go but the lone star. The architectures of the siht show Georgina and Rae couldn’t even be bothered to show up. I don’t know if there publically supporting Justin yet but everybody knowing the truth.
ReplyDeleteblog should change name to loser gop blog
ReplyDeleteWhy were capanos signatures tossed?
ReplyDeleteSOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT: THE "CODED MESSAGES" EDITION
ReplyDeleteSEVERAL OF THE COMMENTS ABOVE IF READ TOGETHER TELL AN ENCRYPTED STORY
I'LL CUT TO THE CHASE >>>SOMEBODY OUT THERE THINKS THAT THE "QUEEN OF THE CLICK" IS REALLY BOB CAPANO<<<
Comic Sans font was originally designed for the talk bubbles of a cartoon-like program called "Microsoft Bob" --- which eventually "got tossed" --- but the font lived on.
Bob Capano certainly has gotten tossed many times and had many nicknames over the years; and "Microsoft Bob" would fit him to a "T".....
shame bob folded. fox could have used a victory.
ReplyDeleteQ is now a columnist in Brooklyn Paper.
ReplyDeleteIs Liam working for cats?

ReplyDeleteUPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "CAMPAIGN MATERIAL THAT'S NOT GOOD FOR A MATERIAL CAMPAIGN" EDITION
ReplyDeleteIT LOOKS LIKE BRIAN FOX AND HIS GOP-CONSERVATIVE PARTY CAMPAIGN TEAM ARE GEARING UP FOR A LONG-AGO WAR IN A KINGDOM FAR, FAR AWAY
Okay, there's posters and palm cards, and a kick-off fundraiser in a bar.....
Just look at the Brian Fox posters and palm cards, and the pictures from the Brian Fox kick-off fund raiser in a bar.
Now, let me tell you this --- so far, the visuals coming out of the Brian Fox for City Council campaign are not a positive in any way, shape or form.....
I'll tell you how bad it is >>> It's a good thing for everybody that "Microsoft Bob," the fellow banned on/from this blog, isn't still running for the City Council in the GOP primary. With the ban in full effect, and doing nothing in the way of campaigning, Bob Capano would have been beating Brian Fox at this stage of the campaign just by staying on the ballot and doing nothing else..... [Just think about that for a while.....]
And now for the good news coming out of the Brian Fox for City Council campaign:
[the sound of crickets deep in the woods, on a hot night in the late summer] ........................
EXPLANATION OF DELETIONS: THE "FIRST 'MICROSOFT BOB' BANNED" EDITION
ReplyDeleteBOB CAN BE "QUEEN OF THE CLICK" FOR A DAY --- BUT CAPANO STILL GETS NO CLICKS ON THIS BLOG --- THAT'S BECAUSE "BOB IS BANNED" --- AND THAT INCLUDES THE "QUEEN OF THE CLICK - MICROSOFT BOB" PERSONNA
BEING "BANNED" MEANS THAT PEOPLE CAN POST LITTLE NASTY THINGS ABOUT SOMEBODY LIKE BOB >>> AND HE CAN'T RESPOND REGARDLESS OF THE MERITS OF WHAT HE MIGHT WANT TO SAY
Even if Bob Capano were to find a way to resurrect his aborted GOP petition to run for City Council this year, he would just be another example of somebody "Ban[ne]d on the Run"..... That's sort of like trying to fly with no wings.....
Bob Capano's only thoughts nowadays are about his political enemies, which is a group that is rapidly approaching the "everybody all the time" category. For example, the deleted comments above were about the following: a) Liam McCabe's having been tossed from/at some bar; and b) John Q writing his weekly column in crayon (note: is it really going to be a weekly column , and not just a one-off about the March of Dimes ???)
AMENDED EXPLANATION OF DELETIONS: THE "NEW FIRST 'MICROSOFT BOB' BANNED" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTHE SECOND "DELETED" COMMENT MENTIONED IN THE COMMENT ABOVE WAS SUBSEQUENTLY WITHRAWN BY ITS AUTHOR --- THIS RESULTED IN AN INACCURATE NOTICE BEING POSTED BY THE BLOG PLATFORM HOST "BLOGGER" --- INSTEAD WE DELETED ALL MENTION OF IT --- BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE, THE COMMENT " b)" IN THE COMMENT ABOVE AND REPEATED HEREIN BELOW IS ACCURATE --- THERE WAS AN "ANONYMOUS" COMMENT POSTED BETWEEN "...11:45 AM' AND "...12:27 PM" ABOUT JOHN QUAGLIONE'S WRITING HIS NEW WEEKLY COLUMN IN CRAYON
Our conclusory statement remains as written in our comment immediately above: "....
Yes Gale I'm looking at the Fox notes.
ReplyDeleteTrue Fox and supporters were in a bar.
Also true Justin stayed home.
True Fox supporters had palm cards, posters.
Also true Justin stayed home.
Why would bob have political enemies when the enemies always win?
ReplyDeleteI heard a crazy rumor that the only visitor Richard Luthmann has seen in prison was John Q
ReplyDeleteJohn Q's column was very good. I hope it runs every week. I recall Q won the primary and the guy from the supermarket came in 4th or last place.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "THERE ARE NONE SO BLIND AS THOSE....." EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 8:09 PM"
WHAT IS ALSO VERY TRUE IS THAT THE "CROWD" AT THE BRIAN FOX FUND RAISER AT THE LONESTAR THE OTHER NIGHT WAS ATTENDED BY BOTH CURTIS SLIWA AND FERNANDO MATEO ALONG WITH THE CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE FROM ANOTHER DISTRICT IN BROOKLYN, MARK SZUZCKIEWICZ.....
GIVEN THAT --- HOW CAN ONE EXPLAIN WHY SUCH A POLITICAL KICK-OFF EVENT WAS SO POORLY ATTENDED ??? AND WHY WERE THERE NEXT TO NO "OUTSIDERS" OR "NEWCOMERS" THERE ?????
I've seen well over a dozen pictures of the Lonestar night for Brian Fox, both outside and inside; and my conclusion remains the same, cumulatively the visuals of the Brian Fox Campaign >>> the poster, the palm cards and the kick-off night photos are not the stuff of a winning campaign.
Let's see if the similar event planned for Mark Szuszkiewicz on May 1st is much of the same, or whether it breaks any new ground. It is boldly being held outside of the district where Candidate Szuszkiewicz is running in Brooklyn; and it takes a page from Ratso Vito Bruno's old book by also being sold as an openly "Outlaw" event.
Gale is right. The secret formula for victory is to stay home like justin and read this stupid blog.
ReplyDeleteSzuszkiewicz called out Brannan for receiving a $100,000 check from an evil developer. I believe the maximum donation for City Council candidates is $50. I hope Szuszkiewicz has someone else doing his finance reports.
ReplyDeleteStill waiting for the morsels of knowledge about what a "winning campaign" campaign looks like. Is it an obese incumbent sitting in front of computer? Is it eating Bon Bons till the ambulance arrives?
ReplyDeleteThe only click that queens hears is the sound of a tooth cracking from those shitty cupcakes she gorges on.
ReplyDeleteTake Mateo and Sliwa out of that picture and it looks like a wannabe que anan convention. Are Teddy's puppet masters gaining anything personally by completely destroying the party or do they just need something to do when it's not nap time?
ReplyDeleteI see a picture of 23 activists supporting our next councilman Brian "Bam Bam" Fox. I dont see the fatboy justin anywhere. You cant miss him.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "SINCE YOU MENTIONED IT....." EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO SOME OF THE COMMENTERS ABOVE THAT DON'T SEEM TO KNOW WHAT A WINNING CAMPAIGN IS OR NEEDS
HERE'S A LITTLE LIST THAT WE DASHED OFF IN A FEW MINUTES.....
IT STARTS WITH A CANDIDATE OF SUBSTANCE >>> WHO CAN RELATE TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND ARTICULATE A MEANINGFUL MESSAGE ABOUT THE ISSSUES PRESSING ON THAT LOCAL COMMUNITY --- THEN ON A SCALE BIG ENOUGH TO MOVE BLOCKS OF VOTERS AND VOTES --- HAVING OR BUIDING AN ACTUAL PERSONAL ORGANIZATION OF ACTIVE PERSONALLY LOYAL SUPPORTERS --- AND THAT ORGANIZATION REQUIRES THE SERVICES OF A COUPLE OR A FEW SPECIALISTS THAT: A) CAN GENERATE A CONSISTENT STREAM OF POSITIVE PUBLIC RELATIONS ITEMS AND EVENTS; B) RECRUIT YOUTHFUL VOLUNTTEERS OR ENTHUSIASTIC OLDER TYPES; C) CONDUCT AN ORGANIZED MAIL AND MEDIA CAMPAIGN; AND D) RAISE FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT SUFFICIENT TO FUEL ALL OF THE ABOVE AT A LEVEL THAT IS SUFFICIENT TO COMPETE WITH, SURPASS AND DEFEAT AN OPPOSITION DOING THE SAME THING(S)
Right now, the Brian Fox Campaign is coming up way short on each and every one of those listed categories. AND ANYBODY THAT SAYS ANYTHING ELSE IS EITHER LYING OR VERY DELUDED.
Can someone tell us what happen to the useless Brian Doherty, Maureen Daley or Barsemian?
ReplyDeleteWas I the only one who noticed when Brian Fox said he had 4 points to make but held up 3 fingers?
ReplyDeleteLiam stole Brian's other finger as a down payment
ReplyDelete
