Can anybody see any difference yet between the 2021 Campaign for Brian Fox for City Council and the 2020 Campaign for Vito Bruno for State Senate ???

The Brooklyn GOP and the Conservative Party have obviously decided that what worked so well in 2020 is going to work just as well in 2021

Here is one BIG DIFFERENCE between the election cycles of 2021 and 2020  ---  the tops of the tickets for the respective years  >>>  in 2021, it will be two of the following three:  Fernando Mateo or Curtis Sliwa  --- AND ---  Bill Pepitone  >>>  in 2020, it was the one and only Donald Trump

So far, here is one major campaign change from 2020 to 2021  >>>  the slogan "Blue Lives Matter" has given way to "NYPD Lives Matter"

Is it reasonable to expect a better result in 2021 than was achieved in 2020 using the same material ???

  1. The difference is the incumbent. All races against an incumbent are a referendum of the incumbent. However if any critique is made about the fat mans physique the blog will delete.

AS WE HERE AT THIS BLOG SEE IT:
BOTH >>> THE PAST 2020 <<< & >>> THUS FAR, THE CURRENT 2021 <<< GOP & CONSERVATIVE PARTY CAMPAIGNS INVOLVE[D] INCUMBENT DEMOCRAT OFFICE HOLDERS.....

BOTH >>> THE PAST 2020 <<< & >>> THUS FAR, THE CURRENT 2021 <<< GOP & CONSERVATIVE PARTY CAMPAIGNS INVOLVE[D] ATTACKS ON DEMOCRATS LIKE BILL DE BLASIO, ANDREW GOUNARDES AND JUSTIN BRANNAN.....

BOTH >>> THE PAST 2020 <<< & >>> THUS FAR, THE CURRENT 2021 <<< GOP & CONSERVATIVE PARTY CAMPAIGNS INVOLVE[D] MOSTLY SUPERFICIAL DISCUSSIONS OF THE "SUPPORTING THE POLICE ISSUES" OF >>> "BLUE/NYPD LIVES MATTER" --- THE FUNDING/DE-FUNDING THE POLICE ARGUMENTS --- AND BY INFERENCE, GENERALLY CIVIL UNREST, PUBLIC SAFETY & "LAW AND ORDER" --- AND ONLY A VERY CURSORY SMATTERING OF CHATTER ABOUT QUALITY OF LIFE STUFF, AND LOCAL ECONOMICS & SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS

    >>> WHAT WE DON'T SEE IS <<< >>> ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO CAMPAIGNS THUS FAR <<<

Since you mentioned "... the fat man[']s physique..." --- since both candidates could pass for classic Sumo Wrestlers --- are you seriously suggesting that the candidates' girth is what sets the 2021 campaign apart from the one in 2020 ?????

  3. The normal play book of fear and lies didn't work against Gounardes but it will work Against Brannan with Sliwa at the top of the ticket bringing out voters in record numbers

  4. Its not a lie that justin voted to defund the police. Its a fact.

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 3:22 PM"

YOUR CONTENT AND STYLE BOTH SUGGEST CLASSIC BOB CAPANO --- AS DOES THE STRAINED LOGIC OF THE MAIN CLAUSE.....

ADDRESSING THAT LATTER PART OF THE COMMENT FIRST --- LET ME QUOTE BEER CAN IN A BROWN BAG BOBBY TO HIMSELF, OR HIS LINGUISTIC IF NOT LITERARY CLONE --- "AH-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA !" --- "... WITH SLIWA AT THE TOP OF THE TICKET BRINGING OUT RECORD NUMBERS..."; NOW THAT'S A GOOD ONE (AT SLIWA'S EVENTS THEY CAN'T EVEN ANGLE THE PHOTO-SHOTS TO MAKE IT >>> LOOK <<< LIKE ANYBODY IS THERE).....

THE REAL REASON I LET THIS COMMENT SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY WAS THE >>> ADMISSION <<< CONTAINED IN THE PREFATORY CLAUSE --- TO WIT: "THE NORMAL PLAY BOOK OF FEAR AND LIES DIDN'T WORK AGAINST GOUNARDES...." TOGETHER WITH THIS SNIPPET OF THE MAIN CLAUSE: "... BUT IT WILL WORK AGAINST BRANNAN..."

With stuff like that Capano will soon make himself relevant again, but certainly not any more or less popular than he already is with most folks in the Brooklyn GOP and the Brooklyn Conservative Party.

  6. Is 3:22 PM joking? The biggest Super PACS spent beaucoup bux against Andy G and they also had Trump at top of the ticket and yet still they could not carry Disco Vito over the goal line. I don't see this all ending very much differently for Mr. Fox.

  7. Gail, you certainly need to be weighed in with the other sumo wrestler' types. if you and Brian Fox and Justin Brannan could squeeze into the cozy confines of Pipin's, you could easily do a chorus of "Three Jolly Fat Men Sat in an English Tavern" as you quaffed your meads, ales and porters, and wafted your gaseous bodily effluents for all to experience. Come to think of it, if all the corpulent politicos from Bay Ridge and Dyker were gathered at Pipin's simultaneously, that much mass gathered in such proximity would either turn critical and explode, or conversely created enough of a gravitational field to begin a 'Black Hole' implosion.

  8. Speaking of black holes, looks like John Q is now taking the reins as campaign manager for Brian Fox with Liam being promoted to top Lieutenant in the Matteo for Mayor operation. Why don't you report this Gail? Some actual GOP news! for once!!!

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 5:27 PM"

I REALLY DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ANY OF WHAT YOU HAD TO SAY OR WHAT YOU THOUGHT WAS RELEVANT NEWS..... MAYBE AN ANALOGY --- IN ALL THE BOOKS ABOUT "RMS TITANIC," AND THE UNSCHEDULED STOP, EAST OFF NEWFOUNDLAND & SOUTH EAST OFF LABRADOR, THERE IS LITTLE MENTION OF THE PLACEMENT OF DECK CHAIRS AND NONE ABOUT THE MOST RECENT SHUFFLEBOARD STANDINGS AMONG THE PASSENGERS.....

DOES ANYBODY REALLY CARE ABOUT WHO IS >>> NOMINALLY <<< RUNNING THIS FOR MATEO OR THAT FOR BRIAN FOX ?????

Usually, (unless you are BCBC) if we get a comment like yours, we check it out and then if it seems solid, we'll publish it among the comments. Then, there are instances like your comment immediately above --- where the truth of the contents doesn't mean anything to anybody.

In other words, if the comment is true it's not significant, and/or if the comment is false it's not significant, who could care or object about our printing it either way. A comment like that would be like starting out by putting a dead cat in Schrodinger's Box --- you wouldn't need to know about any other variables or observations or assumptions --- the cat remains dead in all instances --- so, who could care about any of the variables and observations and assumptions, if they only cared about the fate of the cat.....

  10. I think your referring to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. In this case, Liam is Heisenberg.

  11. Is Heisenberg the guy from the 44th?

    Or is it the 48Th?

  12. RESPONSE: THE "NOT 'COPENHAGEN' FOR SCHRODINGER OR HEISENBERG" EDITION

TO "ANONYMOUS SAID... at 6:18 PM"

CLOSE --- BUT NOT THIS TIME !!!!!

Schrodinger's Cat is a thought experiment that almost seems like a allegory --- it was the result of conversations between Albert Einstein and Erwin Schrodinger concerning the quantum physics issues involving something in quantum physics called superposition.

Werner Heisenberg also talked about a similar situation, coming up with his "Uncertainty Principle," but Heisenberg avoided any possible fatal consequences of boxes and pussies, and putting pussies in boxes; which, if not impossible, is certainly difficult in the real world away from quantum physics.

As far as "In this case, Liam is Heisenberg...."; you didn't have to see Michael Frayn's play "Copenhagen" to know that Werner Heisenberg lost his race to build the atomic bomb for Germany in WW II, and that part of the failure was his failed calculation and computation that he needed about 300 lbs. of enriched Uranium or Plutonium to build a bomb. It's amazing that he would >>> accidentally <<< be off by about 1000%.... Later on, Heisenberg said that his error was intentional, but post-war secret recordings of the German atomic scientists, including Heisenberg by British Intelligence, clearly indicated that the Germans were clearly and honestly on the wrong track toward getting a usable bomb --- in fact, at the end of the war, they were still rushing to get a sustained man-made nuclear reaction (which had already been done secretly by Enrico Firmi and others at Soldier's Field in Chicago right before the war began) --- Luckily, Heisenberg and the other German scientists failed at that too, because success would have killed all of them >>> the way that they were setting up their atomic pile in their cave laboratory.

Eh, so maybe you're right --- Liam might be Heisenberg.....
